Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Well run resort

Very well run resort. You don't have to get in line and book your dinners and there was always a table ready when we wanted to eat . The smaller shows around the pool were much nicer than the big productions put on late at night at other resorts I have stayed at in the past. The beach ,pool and resort were kept clean and the food was great. Premium alcohol was available for no extra charge. Everyone was polite and friendly. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

Rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean and well maintained, Buffet meals were delicious plentiful, and there was a wide variety of food. The grounds were well maintained and very clean. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, Pools were very clean Beach was nice only complaint was that you couldn't swim because of the rocks

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great holiday!

Hotel was wonderful. Great food and service. Very clean and well kept. Kids club and kids pool including Daisey snack bar were so conveniently situated near our rooms and beachfront that we could really relax with everything close by. Would definitely return.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Good party resort

Food was great. Party atmosphere. Rooms are little outdated and beds not comfortable. Room service was really bad. Have to call them so many times to get anything especially water. Oasis beach club is great place for parties. No bar in the room.

Grand Riviera Princess: Very nice resort

It is amazing complex of architecture, start from lobby area,no all alcohol is in all Includive, have to pay for it. Swimming pools are absolutely gorgeous,very good maintain landscaping, loved to walk around,food was good, very friendly people ,who work to make this resort so good. Grand Oasis Cancun: Delivers as advertised in the way of the entertainment resort

Pros Beautiful Beach, excellent restaurants and food, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, plenty of entertainment. Cons Terrible room, plumbing was failing, tub not draining foul smell, even after maintenance had been in, no pictures, cracks in ceiling walls, floors chipped, vanity chipped, had to purchase a lock for the safe and then return it with no refund, extremely loud party goers passing thru building and by room all night long. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Amazing week

Just returned from a week at Sandos Caracol. I actually cried when I left I had such a good time! I religiously read all the reviews on here in the weeks before we left, picking apart each one and sometimes getting worried that we weren't going to enjoy ourselves due to some of the negative ones. Every single worry I had was unnecessary. My partner and I traveled as a couple, 29 and 31. I really did not feel like we were missing out on much from not being able to enter the adults only places, we also love the beach and the kids seemed to mainly be in the pools, so our trip was not worsened in the slightest by the number of kids around. Another concern we had, due to the reviews on here, were long lines at check in and check out. Both check in and check out were completely smooth for us. Both took less than 5 minutes. Our bus driver actually lost our bag between the airport and the resort when we arrived, concierge were so helpful, tracked down the bag and we had it within 30 minutes of arrival, which was a huge relief. Some other concerns I had, due to tripadvisor reviews were; "Lots of Walking" - We did get very lucky with the location of our room - the "2203" building was right inbetween the beach, pools, aquapark and close to the restaurants. Honestly, I wouldn't have cared if we were the furthest end of the resort, the walking is easy, it's really not far to get anywhere and the jungle and animals keep you entertained during the walk. "Hard beds" - I don't know if we got lucky with our mattress - it was spotless - perhaps brand new - but it was comfier than the bed I have at home! I slept amazingly every night. "Unfriendly Staff" - I cannot believe anyone who writes this, the staff work so so hard and smile the whole time. We didn't come across any rude staff at all. "Below average food" - I ate somewhere different every night, I am vegetarian and my partner is very fussy. We loved all the food we ate. Salvia restaurant was incredible, the food was really different and authentic. I am biassed as it is a vegan restaurant, but even my vegetable hating partner loved it, and requested we return the next night so he could try more things on the menu! Juan, Jose and Daniel are great waiters. For some reason this restaurant never had a line up outside, I think a lot of people are missing out for fear of vegetables. I would come back to this resort for this restaurant alone. "Not enough staff" - I see a lot of complaints about not having enough staff - isn't this reason enough to tip the ones there well, they're often doing the job of 3 people. Yes it's almost impossible to get waitress service at the beach or pool like you may get in a 5*, but line up and get yourself a drink at the bar, I don't see how a 30 second wait at the bar is a problem. "The beach is terrible" - You gotta be some sort of lazy not to walk less than 250m to the left of the beach to find an idyllic white sand beach, no rocks and wooden jetty! I have no sympathy for those who could not be bothered to look. There is some sea weed at the beach, no big deal, that's nature! If you don't like sea weed, stick to the pool. "Hounded by timeshare" - I don't know if it's because we're younger and perhaps look like we can't afford a time share, but not one person hassled us the entire time we were at the resort. "Rooms are tired" - honestly, the room we had was the cheapest, standard option. It's not a 5* room, but I never expected it to be, nor did I ever read the resort marketing themselves as a 5* location. It's an eco resort and I like the fact that not every piece of furniture is removed and disposed of when it's looking a little tired. The room does it's job, I really don't spend much time in it during my holiday. The aircon worked great, there was plenty of hangers for our clothes and we ALWAYS had hot water in the bathroom! There were so many activities to do in the day, we took some excursions we had booked outside of the resort on 2 of the days, but in the remaining 5 we had plenty to do on the resort, snorkeling the Jade River & cenotes, wildlife spotting, playing tennis, taking a bike ride around the resort, watching the shows & even the water park was fun, just remember to keep your arms crossed on the slides, I tried to slow myself down and smashed my elbows on day 1 and had to live with the nasty looking bruises all week - my fault! Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful Resort Sian Kaan Maya

We booked this resort duration of 6 night. Wife was very impressed and we request for an upgrade to the Penthouse suite. The staffs and ground staffs were friendly. Foods was excellent. Only disappointment was the hot tub Jacuzzi that has not much of a privacy. One could actually see the next neighbor. Other than that we really enjoyed our stayed.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Great stay- April 5-12 2017

Hotel is clean and all amenities are very close to one another. Upon arrival, we were given a room facing directly towards another building: I was expecting Oceanfront as per our booking. We were moved the next day a few doors down with a slightly better view. Overall, it was a great vacation. Great food, friendly staff, nice beach and would probably go back.

Barcelo Huatulco: Great resort

We had a great time at this resort. It was great for families with small children. Lots of activities for the kids and a great kids pool. Small resort, so easy to get around. Being runners my husband enjoyed the gym and I ran on the beach. The beach isn't super long but a good challenge to run. The kids loved the waves in the ocean. I would recommend bringing life jackets.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Not what we expected

We booked this resort knowing that it was new and would have some kinks. I can say it was on my least favorite list and I personally wouldn't return. Excellence Riviera Cancun: AMAZING!!!

We have never been anywhere south so we have nothing to compare to but we were so overwhelmed and impressed on the first day. The staff truly are amazing. They go out of their way to talk to u and make sure your stay is excellent. Their entertainment was great too. The activity staff never stops, they were always putting something on for the guests. The grounds were always kept so clean. We would definitely go back to this resort and recommend to anyone going to Mexico. It's close to the airport so you are not wasting time traveling and the staff really do make you feel like royalty. Food was great too. The only restaurant we were not a fan of was the lobster house a and that is only because we are from Atlantic Canada and seafood is our thing and this was a different taste. But overall LOVED IT and miss it already!!

Barcelo Karmina: 5 stars all the way!

The area of Manzanillo is absolutely beautiful and Barcelo Karmina is right in the heart of it all. Beautiful resort, sensational staff and lots of bang for your buck. Nightly entertainment was great and the food was amazing. Will be returning for sure!

Occidental Cozumel: Very nice resort

We had a fantastic week the 4th to the 11th of April at the Occedental Grand Cozumel. Rooms,Gardens Staff were amazing we didn't want for anything we enjoyed it very much we can't say enough about the staff the are all very friendly. I would definitely recommend this resort. Thank you for making our vacation fantastic.

Riu Emerald Bay: Superb Staff, Service, and Security

Our experience at this resort was exceptional. The grounds are inviting, relaxing, and fully equipped to accommodate a wide variety customers - families; young, middle-aged, and elderly couples. Our ocean view room was immaculately maintained and cleaned daily, and well-stocked with large towels. The shower water pressure and hot water supply was great! The pool areas were sufficiently furnished with comfy lounge chairs and small tables that were sheltered from direct sunlight. Sun worshippers could relax in any of the many lounge chairs abundantly available on the beach. Each pool area catered a different demographic of guests. The adult only pool with the swim-up bar afforded couples quality time and privacy from families with rambunctious children. A children's pool was strategically situated closer to the bathrooms, and was designed to engage kids in water activities under the supervision of a trained professional. Other pool areas catered to both active and sedate guests. An array of pool side and water activities scheduled throughout the day, created an engaging atmosphere for hotel guests. The hotel spa was relaxing, and the gym was furnished with current fitness equipment. The all inclusive restaurants provided guests with a plethora of culinary options including vegetarian preferences. Food was well-presented, freshly prepared, and appealed to most discriminating customers. The staff was absolutely incredible! Polite, extremely hard working, helpful, enthusiastic, pleasant, efficient, and genuine. We never felt like the staff expected tips at any time. Therefore, on the our final day at the resort, we generously rewarded our housekeeper, the bar tenders, and restaurant servers. Finally, hotel security was phenomenal! Guests were well protected at this resort. The beach was fenced off and personally monitored by security to prevent locals from harassing guests as they relaxed on the beach. Security at the front entrance was strictly enforced 24/7. We have previously visited and stayed at 5 star resorts in Acapulco, the Mayan Riviera, and Puerto Vallarta and felt much safer at the Riu Emerald Bay. The food at Riu Emerald Bay was comparable to other 5 star resorts, but their staff and service is far superior!

Grand Sunset Princess: Wonderful resort

Absolutely beautiful, the staff are always working and keeping it sparkling clean 😎 The staff , rooms , food and pools are all wonderful lots of walking to burn off the calories. We had a great holiday

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful resort

The location of the resort in a jungle like setting is beautiful. There is wildlife like monkeys, iguanas, flamingoes and raccoons. The food and the service are good. I recommend this resort if you like being close to nature.

Barcelo Huatulco: Beutiful resort, great food and friendly staff

Was not impressed with the no name brand alcohol and wine. Mixed drinks tasted like non-alcoholic. Wine at the a la cart restaurants was much better, but found the time allocated for eating was too rushed. Food was amazing.

Playa Mazatlan: great Mexican vacation

Great public beach access, wide beach front. Only 5 stories high not alot of time in elevators. Wide variety of rooms. Renovations and improvements being done, keeping up to date.Variety of restaurants, and also pools. Great dinner buffet and show every night. Easy access to historical town and day trips. Felt very safe. Staff at hotel friendly and helpful. Staff always cleaning. Travelled 1 adult and 1 child (5 year old). Great kids club daily programming. Allegro Cozumel: Allegro Cozumel

The hotel is small and ideal for family as it is easy to get around. Beach is great for snorkelling. Food is average. They need to improve the cleanliness of their pool by closing area early for maintenance.
