Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Decent resort

Decent resort with excellent staff. The resort was full so it made for a difficult time getting a table at the buffet. Wasn't until the last 2 days that we located a second, smaller buffet which was far less busy. Would've been good to know this prior to having to wrestle for a table at prime meal times. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great Vacation

This was our second visit to the Azul ! We got married there 3 years ago and returned this year with our 4 month old daughter. The resort is very accommodating had all the extras we needed for the baby so saved us on packing . Great food great service and very friendly staff . I would highly recommend this property.

Riu Cancun: We love this resort. Visited for a 2nd time

This resort is very clean. Everyone at the resort works hard to help everyone. Food was good. Grounds very clean. Very nice people, hospitable. The only thing that is lacking is the night shows. They need to improve on this area. We enjoyed the grounds, the pools the beach. Very nice to have view of the sea from every room. We could go back for another holiday.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Spectacular, Pristine, felt like royalty

The hotel was astounding! Clean, well laid out, and beautiful! The food was exceptional. The pools were perfect. The staff was so friendly. Events and night life - amazing! We will definitely return! Heather, from Trip Central was correct in recommending this to us. We had the swim out suite, and really liked having our own private pool. We got bottles of champagne in our room, top shelf liquor, amazing steaks and lobster, fun beach parties and beach romantic dinners - all for free! Grand Oasis Cancun: Great party 🎉

We stayed 9 days hade a fabulous time.food and drink is ok but nothing special. Pools are great beach is great. Z and big papa will have you in the party atmosphere all day at the beach club. Bottom line if you want to party it's for you. Cons..bad money exchange leave you waiting in the dark...high fee for a room safe..high fee for internet.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: The Friendly Vallarta

The name of the resort says it all...Friendly! Every where you turn people were smiling , joking with the vacationers, giving hugs on hellos and goodbyes. They like to talk to you, to find out about where you are from, about your family. They will also tell you about their lives too. They workers at the Friendly are what makes that hotel nice to stay at. The building itself is older but is always clean. As the day goes on you are always seeing someone cleaning. There is no litter anywher [... read more]e. They wash the pool deck late at night and again early in the morning. The food was limited in variety but what was supplied it was very good. Food service was offered on the beach same as drinks and once again the empty plates and drinking glasses were removed immediately. The water pressure in shower was very limited and sometimes would be either very hot or very cold. There was only one chair in the room, we did ask for another but unfortunately never got one which meant one of us was always lying on the bed to watch TV or read.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing resort

We went for the second time to paraiso lindo and enjoyed it as much as the first time. Employees went out of their way to make us feel pampered and meet our wishes. Resort is clean, food is good and the snack bar at the beach came in handy when we didn't want to go up to the restaurants to eat. Ice cream is always available around the resort. It's a beautiful resort overall and would definitely go back there.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Amazing resort

The Dreams Playa Mujeres was excellent. The grounds were clean and staff were very friendly. Food was excellent, lots of verity with having access to Secrets. The entertainment was great esp Mexican night. It was nice having bands play around pool during the day as well as in the evening. We are beach people, it was windy so seaweed, the grounds people worked hard to keep it clean. Great beach to walk. The golf course was great, beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Riu Vallarta: Good bang for the buck!

The hotel staff were friendly and organized upon arrival Our rooms were ready before 3pm check in. The hotel is on the larger size from what I am use to. The rooms are well kept and clean. I found the bed comfortable for Mexico. The grounds are well kept. The food is great however the buffet becomes a bit much after the 3rd day because there is such a variety of choices it's almost overwhelming We went to two of the ala cart restaurants. Furniture in the lobby area is very worn and needs to be replaced. The beach is beautiful. No palapas but you can rent an umbrella from the hut guys on the beach for $150 pesos per day. Overall a great resort for the price

Grand Oasis Palm: Amazing resort

Great hotel, very clean comfortable room, bonus for us,we were on the 2nd floor. Beach and restaurant staff were awesome, so many restaurants to choose from...17 in total and you only have to make reservations for 2 of them . Great beach soft white sand, some seaweed...didn't keep us out of the water 💦 Overall a great vacation, would definitely recommend this hotel

Grand Oasis Sens: Good service resort

On our first day at the resort we were given a room on the 2nd floor that was musty smelling, with dark hallways and view of bushes and a cement wall. After speaking at length with management we were moved to a much nicer area on the 7th floor. Also we did not know that the location for the breakfast and supper buffet did not have an elevator but only lots of steps, which my wife found very challenging due to her limited mobility. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Royalton treat you like Royalty!!!

Most amazing exceptional resort. My husband and i renewed our vows here and we can not say enough. We had Alonso chexk us in and upgraded us to roof top suite , so gorgeous. All of staff, food, grounds and drinks entertainment was top notch. Heading back in september for 10 days , 7 was not enough for us

Samba Vallarta: Did not disappoint!

We chose this resort for a girl's getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was so perfect for us. Very clean, excellent service, smiling faces all around! We loved that we could sit right by the beach but not on the beach where there are interruptions and distractions from the special time that the five of us had together. This is a very relaxed place, not uptight and snobbish like some of the other resorts I've been at. It is very family oriented and the beach party night was so much fun! [... read more] The food selection was excellent and as were the margaritas! I would definitely return to the resort. Tripcentral has been my travel site of choice for over 18 years. Nicole was fantastic and co-ordinated the five of us leaving from 3 different cities with ease. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Awesome Resort!

The resort was amazing, it was clean, the people were friendly, the food and drink was good and plenty of it, the only down fall were the hours of services such as food and why does the disco open at 10;30! Overall we had an amazing time, I love Mexico and plan on going back again soon!

Secrets Huatulco: Nice Resort but needs more "Secrets" love

First of all let me say that my husband and another couple went for a quick getaway to a hot and sunny climate and this resort fit the bill. We had beautiful weather the entire week between April 2-9. This is our 5th different Secrets and like the others there were some great aspects of this particular resort. But it seems that the Secrets brand offers different amenities at different cities. Will explain. This resort, like all Secrets, was spotless. And in fact, we never saw a piece of g [... read more]arbage anywhere on the resort or in the town. Hualtuco pride themselves on cleanliness and they certainly did not disappoint. Also the most of the staff was very friendly. We did meet a few that didn't seem to be having a good day. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very comfy. We thought the bathroom configuration was less than desirable. Having the sinks in the hallway is very weird. Housekeeping was pretty good, however one day I had to call to have our room made up because it was getting quite late in the afternoon and we didn't want them to forget as the hallway was void of cleaning carts. The food in the ala carte restaurants was very good. I recommend the filet mignon in the Bordeaux and the Tapanyaka show was one of the best we had been to ever....and we have travelled for 30 years. Only other that was better was in Hawaii. The pools were plentiful. We were not sure what people were talking about when they mentioned the towel game. There were still loungers available in the afternoon. We are early risers so of course we had the pick of the litter sort of speak but still lots of chairs and umbrellas well into the morning. So if people expect to get a primo spot after sleeping in until noon, well sorry folks...get your butts out of bed or don't complain. Areas where this resort needs improvement. The buffet was a disappointment.Very small in ratio to the size of the resort. Food selection was limited. Case in point, we were at a smaller Secrets in December (Capri) and they had a huge fruit selection at breakfast. You name the fruit and it was there. This one had pineapple, mango and melon. Some days not even a banana. They had lovely breads but no bread knife to cut it or a napkin to hold them. My husband mentioned this to the chef twice and they said the bread knife had been stolen. What? Only one breadknife at a resort this size? Also one day, the toaster was missing. Again my husband had to ask for toast at which time they put his bread on the grill before they found the toaster. This kind of thing is not acceptable in a place that advertises "luxury". The Barefoot Grill had a much better lunch than the buffet. In terms of the pools, a lot of mold along the edges (were were in all of the pools and the same for all of them). We mentioned it twice to the staff that was cleaning them, but they didn't do anything about trying to scrub the mold off the tiles of the infinity edge. This resort is only 4 years old and if they don't get a hold of this now, they will have a problem. The layout of this resort is strange. We were fortunate to be in building 6 so we had a lovely view of the bay and the pools but it was certainly inconvenient to get anywhere else. Its been mentioned before that only 2 elevators were in operation. The third would have been better for wait times. The restaurants are on the 8th floor (were were on the 3rd). So too many stairs to climb so had to take the elevator. The Sky Bar could be so much better. To the Management, go have a look at the Sky Bar at Secrets Cozumel. Now THAT is a Sky Bar. Bright, comfortable seating, etc. This one has a lot of wasted space. However, it was the only bar that consistently had Crown Royal Rye Whiskey. I can't tell you how many times in the week we were told the bars had to Crown. Well, if you're a rye drinker Canadian Mist is sub standard. I would suggest to the Bar Manager, to get rid of the Canadian Mist entirely and get Canadian Club (CC). At least its drinkable. Now for my biggest pet peeve of the week. Smoking. There are |No Smoking signs posted in the Sky Bar and yet we saw many people lighting up. I would suggest having one side smoking and the other sign smoke-free for those of us who want to breathe. This is the first Secrets we've been to that allowed smoking at the pool. All the others have a designated smoking area. It was apalling and disgusting to see people light up right beside you and even an inconsiderate guest lit up a large cigar right at the pool. In this day and age, when most people are wanting to be healthy I would say this is totally unacceptable and should be monitored. For this reason, my husband and I will not return to this particular Secrets. I am a cancer survivor and can not, nor will not put up with people that will consciencely light up a cigarette or cigar right beside someone else. The hotel needs to designate an area(s) or a particular pool for smokers. We will be back to a Secrets, however, not to this one. There are others with better standards. We will recommend this resort to others if they don't mind the negatives we've mentioned. It is a clean and friendly resort with good ala carte restaurants so that's what you're looking for, you will find it here.

Allegro Cozumel: Beautiful resort.

We spent a week at the Allegro and we loved it. The staff were nice and the rooms were very clean. It's not a huge resort but there are 3 pools and we never had a problem finding a chair by a pool or on the beach. We went to the Italian restaurant 3 times as the food was awesome. You need to make reservations ahead of time for the al a carte restaurants and sometimes they would say it was booked solid even though the restaurant was half empty at the time you requested. If you went the hostess [... read more] at the time that you wanted to eat sometimes they would accommodate you and let you in. I would definitely stay at the resort again. The beach was nice and the snorkelling was awesome. We rented bicycles for the day and the bicycle company dropped them off at our hotel for the time we requested and picked them up at the end of the day. We cycled the whole island and it was a nice way to see the island.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Amazing time had by all!

We were a group of 7 friends ranging in age of 37-57. I've previously been to Varadaro, La Romana, Jamaica, Bahamas and Mayan Riveria. This place was right up there as a top 3 favorite. First of all the staff are amazing! Everyone was so friendly and hard working. The food was incredible. We never had a problem finding something we liked. The restaurants were really good as well, however, the reservation system is horrible. Getting up at 6:30am on my vacation is not my idea of fun but if you wan [... read more]ted a reservation, you had to be in the lobby this early. The rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. The minibar was stocked every day with beer and other drinks. We had a small patio but we were hardly in our room so this didn't matter. My only complaint about the room was there was no insulation around the door (you could see outside all around the door). We could hear all the traffic outside which sucked for sleeping. The resort is small but we never had a problem finding a good seat on the beach or at the pool and we were 7 people (it was a lot busier our last day April 8th because everyone was coming for Easter), but still not a problem. We loved hanging out on the beach and watching all the water traffic. There is no place to get drinks past 12 midnight on this resort. Everything closes early so if you like to stay up late drinking, this might not be the resort for you. I didn't have an issue because I rarely saw midnight (too much day drinking, lol). It is extremely easy to hop on a bus outside the resort or take a cab into town if you want to party it up. Highly recommend Coco Bongo, it was an amazing show! Everyone was complaining there was no free wifi. Although it might have been a nice perk, I didn't mind because it was good to disconnect. I checked my email once a day using the free wifi next door :) If you hang out over by the volleyball court or get a nice seat out on the patio at the buffet, you can pick up the wifi at the bar next door. We booked a catamaran tour through Luiz (located where you get the kayaks, etc.) and went to Isle Majueres, snorkeling, had lunch and unlimited drinks for $65 US pp. Great deal! Luiz is amazing to deal with! I would return to this resort in a heartbeat. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more. I already miss the mojitos and cappuccinos!

NYX Hotel Cancun: OK

the Hotel was beautiful and the room was great. The negative side was that the tv reception was poor and the food was hit or miss and was served cold most of the time. The staff were very good but were over worked . I do not think I would go back.

Allegro Cozumel: Gorgeous Resort!

This resort is beautiful. The grounds are kept extremely manicured and clean. The rooms are comfortable, beds are super comfy. It's a quiet resort. Not much nightlife so it's great for that really needed rest and relaxation. Saw allot of divers there. Boats coming and going all day with divers, of course because Cozumel is known for it's diving. It's also a a perfect get away for families with younger kids. They have a fantastic pool for the kids with fun slides (I was tempted to use mysel [... read more]f). The beach has plenty of chairs, never a lack of them and there's always one for you to use unlike other resorts where you have to get up early in the morning and throw your towel on a chair to reserve. Pool areas are the same, there was always a chair to sit at. Food was delicious. The buffet had a wide variety of food but seemed to be the same every day. We used 3 restaurants during our stay. We ate Mexican, Italian and Teppanyaki. All 3 of these restaurants were great, the food was delicious. Front desk employees were very helpful. Everything we needed or requested was taken care of and never with a displeasure. Everyone was always smiling and friendly. Exceptional personnel. We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful resort.

Riu Vallarta: Fun trip

Hotel room was dated, bed was very old and couch was very old, though clean. Food was what I expected. Good pools great ocean swimming. Staff were great overall. Bars seemed understaffed with long lines.
