Paradise Playa Dorada: Grand Paradise Playa Dorada Resort Review

The food was amazing. Service was ok could have been better. Rooms were always cleaned and restocked with pop and water. Pool was always busy have to get up early to reserve chairs especially if you want an umbrella. Overall the resort was excellent and it's only a short 15-20 minute drive from the airport. Would definitely go back and would recommend this resort to individuals who like smaller resorts.

Occidental Caribe: Very clean and organized resort

The hotel and staff were great! Everything went fantastic. Great holiday. Highly recommended, rooms were very clean! Food was really good! The pools were always clean, people were friendly. Overall great trip!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Awesome Resort

Very clean beautiful location and view. Only complaint was the $50.00 gift card offered by Tripe central. It was useless everywhere we went. We thought we could use it at resort but that was not the case.

IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Nice trip

Not a bad resort. Fook OK but a bit boring. The a la carte restaurants are quite bad. Drinks OK but made with powder mixes that are overly sweet. Stick with beer. The only decent cup of coffee is at tha Café Dominican and they don't open untill 8:00 AM. Staff are mostly good but some are a bit surly and cranky. Jorje at the front desk is VERY GOOD. Got a massage which was nice. Pools are nice and one is quiet and the other is lively so it is good for everyone. Servers at pool bars are very nice. Villa rooms are far from the beach. All in all pretty good place as long as you get it for a good price. Very popular with Europeans.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: awesome resort !!!

Immaculate resort that has everything you would want or need and more. Top notch service, name brand drinks and high end food !!!. Concierge service was a nice touch. Room was beautiful and well kept with great mini bar and snacks!!! Definitely a 5+ Star !!!!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Had a great time!

This RIU is a bit dated but boy was it clean! Not only the rooms but the premises and the landscaping were immaculate. We enjoyed the food and they had a bbq on the beach on our second day. Having one swim up bar which is actually really large, helped everyone to get together each day and meet new people.

Their service standards have been increased for the better; not feeling harassed for tipping. Grounds wonderful, staff very nice and professional, room ok. Next time would ask for a non connecting room.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very good resort.

Rooms very, very clean. Food was very good. Staff was excellent. Would definitely stay there again. Had a very good time. Chairs around the pool were saved early in the morning, but, I can't say I ever had a difficult time finding a chair around the pool. Entertainment at night was fun. Good staff, good food, sunshine and great weather. What is there to complain about? Can't find anything!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Nice Small Resort

Clean Rooms and grounds. Lots of choices at the Buffet. We didn't make it to the Gourmet Restaurant apparently you have to be in the line up early. Disco wasn't very busy but we had fun. Pool was clean and large. Hard to find a chair in the shade and it was very hot. We spent our days at the Beach and could always find chairs and move them to the shade. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful, clean resort

Very well kept grounds. Appreciated the cleanliness everywhere. Rooms were great. Buffet food was average, the menu should very more from day to day. A few new items daily but mostly the same from meal to meal. Thankgoodness the restaurants were very good. My favourite was the French. Beaches are nice but would be gorgeous if they were groomed everyday.

Great time! Lots of activities through the day, was my daughters first trip and she loved it! View was amazing! Staff was great! Buffet was a great selection however some items were not as hot as they could be. Rooms were very clean! Would recommend for sure!

the rooms were spacious, tolits need some work.restaurants were very nice. Food. was very good. Nice variety.staff were very friendly and helpful. Conciere AJ was an amazing person.He was the man if you needed info.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: All that I expected and more....

My expectations were surpassed. The resort was super clean, the staff was helpful and plesant and the food was very delicious. I would definitely visit again. I would have liked to see more BBQ options on the beach. Fareeda

Cayo Levantado Resort: Extraordinary Solitude

The property is extensive and the individual villas have large rooms with a balcony. The rooms are quiet and very clean. Room service and Porter service was prompt and efficient. The buffet-style restaurant [Orquídea Restaurant] has an extensive menu for any preferential style of appetite. The Rodizio Restaurant is also open for breakfast and has an open air appeal with a view to the pool. There are scheduled activities all day and the evening entertainment begins at 9:30 every night. The 70's 80's night was especially successful because everyone was dancing that night. The beach is all sand and it requires a elevator ride to the pool area. The beach luncheon buffet was extraordinary with salads and an "american-style" buffet including burgers, fries and hot dogs. There are several options for whale watching in February and all activities are included with the exception of excursions. We never left the island and the "public beach" has local artifacts for sale if you're looking for a whale carved out of a coconut. Wi-Fi is limited unless you pay for an upgrade. This means no calls on Skype. This is definitely a "luxury" destination and well worth the price of admission.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Decent

Nothing special staff can be annoying I got sick off the food there resort is far from town I had a good time made the best of it but I wouldn't return to this hotel I've been too dreams cancun Riviera and dreams punta Cana cannot even compare

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Beautiful resort with friendly staff!

The hotel is beautifully laid out and workers are constantly cleaning or pruning. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The beach area is breath taking.. We did not enjoy the food in the specialty restaurants although the buffet was excellent with lots of variety, great food and excellent service. The safe in our room rarely opened with our password code so we had to cal the front office to get someone up most days. We did have fun and enjoyed the hotel and staff. Traveled from March 1-7 Pros: The resort overall was clean No complaint's about the food Cons: The airport bus to the resort was run down Resort staff speak little to no English & to me if you are going to be working where tourists vacation this is a must! They are also very rude if you don't trip them Staff cannot be fully trusted as we had a few items of clothing stolen out of our room. Not enough variety when it comes to nightly entertainment Rooms have apparently been renovated but haven't.. [... read more]...they bought some new TV's & painted that's it. The location of this resort is an hour or more away from the airport so therefore you would need to pay for transportation to go anywhere!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing Resort

Everything about this resort is what you would expect from a Don Paublo. Wifi on the beach was a bonus, The staff was very helpful at all times. The alcohol was top of the line and caesars with Clamato for the Canadians. Quiet resort and for the night life it is a hort walk across to the other resort.....Great resort

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Employees not as friendly

Hotel was nice for an older resort. Employees lacked customer service skills. I found they pushy, rude, and would only serve you if you held money. The lady in gift shop kissed her teeth at my son for asking to exchange his flavor of chips (direct echange). Had eyes rolling when I didn't want to purchase other items. It's a shame as I loved the resort and beach but some of the workers ruined my good mood most days. I couldn't believe they acted like that.

Hotel grounds were amazing clean great beach, friendly staff wish we could be there again. Pool was enormous lots of beach chairs, drinks were delightful and unique, my family and I made good choice and definitely will go back to thi s resort.
