Melia Internacional: Beautiful new hotel

Great hotel, would give it another chance after life is back to normal . Hotel has potential to have better food and entertainment but kept everything at a minimum due to COVID. Gorgeous beach. Carribean restaurant has the best food and service. The Japanese restaurant was very disappointing. Bartenders were great. Buffet was ok, variety was limited. 24 snack bar was extremely disappointing. Beach and new hotel made up for the lack of everything else.

Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful resort

The huge lobby and grounds are picturesque with plants and colourful bushes. The staff go out of their way to be helpful. The beach is gorgeous but can be very windy. The pool was green due to a lack of available chlorine. Deck chairs were sometimes hard to find. There was plenty of food and lots of choice with fresh fruit. The resort was only half open because of Covid so the tranquility pool was unavailable. The one downside was the time it took to get to the resort from the airport. Sol Palmeras: Disappointing

My 3rd and last time at Sol Palermos. In fact I am done with Cuba. I have been to Cuba over 30 times and the last couple of times I have not been happy. The resort was full of Cubans and to say they are rude is an understatement. They have no regard for anyone other their own people. They take over the pool, bar and restaurant. We pay good money to go to Cuba but they get waited on before anyone else. I spoke with other people at the airport who were at different resorts and they all had the sam [... read more]e complaints. Melia Las Dunas: Great resort!

Territory: very big, spacious and beautiful, well maintained Lobby: huge and beautiful, you can spend your whole day in there :) Beach: very good, but it required a bit more shade shelters, not enough currently, sometimes we were unable to find a place in a shade Pool: very good but also needs a bit more shade shelters Restaurants: excellent, lots of room and tables Food: pretty good, I was totally happy with the selection and quality Entertainment: very good

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Perfect hospitality

I chose this resort based on others review, but honestly it was more than my expectation and the rate I found. Although I can mention food as one of the weaknesses but other strong points like clean, beautiful and amazing invironment, nice, professional and friendly staff, various events, can eliniminate just a couple small things. Food that I mentioned was also good in some restaurants but in general can affect my rating a bit. Melia Cayo Coco: Great first trip at MCC

This was our first trip to the Melia Cayo Coco. It lived up to the reviews we read on Trip Advisor. Although small (250 rooms), and somewhat dated, it was well staffed, with amazing service. Plenty of options to eat with three A La Cartes, buffet, beach restaurant and the 24 hour poolside snack bar. The rooms were spacious and clean. We hope to return in the fall.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great Resort

Can't say anything negative about this resort. The food was good and the service excellant. The Cubans were very strict about masking and Covid procedures while inside. However, the tourists, about 95% Canadians were very lax when they they could be and both my wife and I tested positive for Covid upon our return to Canada.

Melia Cayo Coco: Love this resort!

The Melia Cayo Coco didn't disappoint. If you are looking for a small adults only resort this is should be on your list of resorts to visit. On top of the clean and convenient layout, the amazing beach, with the best food we have had in Cuba, the staff make this resort the best in all of Cuba. If you are looking for a late night party location, this is not the best option for you.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Melia Peninsula Varadero

We had a great stay at this resort. This resort is small in size and everything is close by. The rooms are simple and clean and all have hot water and an air conditioner. We stayed right in front of the only swimming pool and the snack bar. Food-wise was a limited choice, as many products are not available in Cuba; for example, the snack bar had limited food such as hamburgers, fries, tuna sandwitches and hotdogs but, it run out of food sometimes, and the other restaurants were kind of recycling [... read more] the other food with some creative food recipe choices. Staff are respectful and caring and they are welcoming. The grounds are kept clean, the beach is amazing, and it has sufficient chairs for everyone. They offer transportation with your package, and that is very helpful. There was some entertainment, such as pool Zumba, water polo and dance classes. My only suggestion is to try to showcase their culture a bit more, there were a lot of international themes, but most people coming are from different parts of Europe and America, and it would be nice to see to learn about the culture of Cuba. Drinks the beer was nice, and rum with coke, besides that, drinks were not that great. Overall, I give the resort 3 stars, as I have been to others that are better maintained, and have better food choices.

Melia Las Dunas: Great Family Vacation

Beautiful resort, good food, comfortable rooms with an amazing beach. The staff, in true Cuban fashion are warm, friendly and hospitable to a "T". The resort is still not operating at 100% as they are only opening as much as they can to keep the cleaning standards maxed out. 3 a-la carte options plus a 24 snack venue, plus the buffet and bbq area are open. Paradisus Rio De Oro: FIXER UPPER

Lots of room for improvement. Repairs are needed. ie Cottages are falling apart. Signs are illegible . Walkways are dangerous. Entertainment is high school caliber. Price point should be 800 per person.

Melia Las Americas: Very Quiet

There were hammocks and covered beds by the pool which were very nice to chill out. The food was better than most hotels in Cuba, but that isn't saying much.The vast majority of the guests were over 60 couples from Ontario and bed time was 11pm for the vast majority. Very quiet resort, if you want some night life this is not the place to be. The bar food is terrible, so if you arrive late, a cardboard ham sandwich is your only option.

Melia Cayo Coco: Nice resort but serious water problems

The hotel was very clean, food was decent and staff overall was very friendly and the beach was AMAZING. However, we had major issues with our shower and getting our bottled water. Most days the shower had a very weak spray and was super hard to regulate. It was either scalding hot or cold; spent a lot of time trying to regulate it and when you finally did, the pressure was almost gone and down to a dribble. You had to remove it from the wall and lower it almost to the bottom of the tub so [... read more] gravity could help get some water flowing. Absolutely no way you could have washed and rinsed your hair, had to use the sink several times for this. We asked to have it fixed 4 times and the repair man would come in, turn on the shower and if water came out, he did nothing else. I even took a video to show customer service, she apologized but nothing changed. We were supposed to get bottled water every day but that didn't happen and we were almost out. I would have gladly picked it up myself but that wasn't an option. We called Customer service and asked at the main lobby desk and nothing. We spoke with a maid the next day and she had someone at our room within an hour. We paid a lot of money to stay at this resort and honestly didn't feel it was money well spent

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: good

Every thing about the resort was good, service was excellent,beach was perfect and all bars were good. But lack of ketchup,wine,bread and vodka. All these item could be purchase at the marina store outside the resort only a five minute walk this tells me there is no shortage on the island,it is an ownership problem. The pool turned green the second week of our stay.

Had a wonderful stay at this resort. Staff so very friendly. Food was great. The Cuban food was amazing. Only little downfall , our room card would not work. They came to fix it in good time. Had trouble with it on and off for the week. We managed. As for Covid protocol, they did everything very well. Masking while at the buffet. All staff wore mask at all times.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Keep Expectations In Check

The lobby is a great place to have a drink or coffee. The pool area is very pretty and relaxing. They could use umbrellas as more shade is needed. Loved that music was playing around the pool and at the beach. We picked this 5 star adult resort because of the 3 storey buildings. The hotel room was large and the bed was firm and comfortable. Flies on the food was disgusting. Thank goodness for the specialty restaurants for some variety. The Port Royal was our favorite spot for a drink in the afternoon. Staff worked very hard there and made the best pina colada. All the restaurant staff were very friendly and the entertainment team was amazing! Lots of activity on the beach and around the pool. Nice to have a bar at the beach. We enjoyed the water as it was shallow enough to play.

Melia Las Dunas: AWESOME RESORT

LOVED This resort. There is lots to do, shows are on almost every night. There are multiple bars and snack bars to choose from. At lunch you have a lot of options from an open salad bar to fresh Pizza, burgers, Poutine, fries and more. They have Heinz Ketchup also. The grounds are kept very clean and tidy. The white sand beach is excellent. Few to No rocks to cut your feet on and pretty easy to walk on. If you ask any of the staff at the beach they can get you a beach chair. They have 2 beach bars. (Really 3 but the adult side of the resort was closed because of low attendance from COVID) BUT things are starting to really get back to life here. Lots of people to party with. The night life is not boring either with shows in the evening including a Beach party, Pool party after a water show and acrobatics in the lobby and more. You will not get bored at this resort that's for sure. Water in the pool is kept clean (it's also a massive pool) You can walk along the beach and past the closed resorts and hang with people from the nearby resort as well. If you want to meet new people, just get a buzz going at the Beach bar you will be sure to meet Many people there. Everyone we met was super friendly, It was a FANTASTIC 2 weeks we were there. Wish I could have stayed for longer. I would highly recommend it. Would come again in the near future.

My wife and I had an excellent time there we found a hotel spectacular surroundings the people there were very friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything they were there as soon as they could which we had no problems The Elkhart restaurants were spectacular food was fantastic service was great excellent staff was very friendly and cordial at the start of the week was OK by the time the end of the week the food was excellent we Think they were just getting started back from the COVID-19 an [... read more]d getting things organized as the days went on all in all we had an excellent time and we will definitely go back again we had no problems whatsoever

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A Piece of Heaven

Fantastic Resort. We had a swim up room, Best room in the house. Lots of food. Wine and an abundance of Champagne. Very Covid safe...masks are mandatory entering and lobby or restaurant and staff wear them 24/7. Definitely recommend this Resort.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Lovely people and very nice resort!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were all so very sweet, friendly and most helpful! Staff always wore masks and we felt very safe. The a la Carte restaurants were simply amazing and served delicious meals. The entertainment was above and beyond. So many talented performers. Loved the pool and especially the comfy cabanas! Beautiful beach as well!
