Ocean Riviera Paradise: Most beautiful resort!

Our small family went to this resort with our 2.5 year old son. We loved the rooms. The beds were very comfy, the rooms were very large and spacious. The balcony was a great way to spend late nights to have a romantic time together while our little one slept. The food was the best we've had anywhere. We did a few of the special restaurants but we loved the buffet more sometimes. The staff were very friendly. The only drawback back was the sales sharks that waited for us daily as we went into bre [... read more]akfast. They were friendly but persistent which we didn't like. The beach was rocky in the beginning but we knew this so we brought water shoes that helped. But it was beautiful. The water slide pool area for my toddler was so convenient and fun most times he could be on his own since the water was only a foot deep. We also loved the fact that we could sign out push cars for him so that we didn't have to bring a stroller We want to go back next year. We felt 7 days wasn't enough to enjoy it all. Fontan Ixtapa: Good enough

The hotel was fine and the food was ok. Room nice enough. Ocean view a must. It took a few days to adjust to the food but overall, it was different but fine. The beach was great, waves huge and powerful so be careful. But Thursday to Sunday super busy with bus loads of people coming in making it super crazy. Pools filled with people and kids were everywhere. We changed rooms due to the noise later in evenings. The town was nice, clean and friendly. "The General" sports bar across the road was excellent food for us Canadians.

Barcelo Ixtapa: great place to recharge

Clean with lots of room to sit around the pool or beach, great weather and the best waves of anywhere. Staff where really great and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and up to date. TV had 6 channels of English movies for late night viewing.

Crown Paradise Club: Excellent resort for families!

I recommend this resort 100% everything was great! They are constantly cleaning the grounds, rooms are very clean with a big balcony. Restaurants are all very classy and the buffet had a very good variety with a children's buffet. Always food and drinks available every hour of the day. Children's pool with zip lines and waterslides and the kids club is awesome! Lots of activities for the kids all day! The shows are a must see! Grand Oasis Cancun: Grand oasis

Grounds are lovely but rooms are in need of a hughe update. We are in our 50,s but still had a good time the Italian restaurant was amazing. This resort is for a much younger crowd as we heard kids all night long. The beds were very compy. I slept good.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing family resort

I highly recommend this hotel for families, Food was great, and lots of stuff to do with the kiddies super pleased with this hotel and will absolutely go back. The service was great there was a concierge at every other building which made making dinner reservations easy easy. loved that/

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Feel like Royalty @ the Riu!

The Riu Palace was fabulous. The employees were constantly cleaning, greeting the guests, courteous and impeccably dressed. The scenery was gorgeous and the food was delicious. There were many umbrellas for shade around the pools which was wonderful. I highly recommend this facility.

Royal Solaris Cancun: Average

Time share posing as hotel staff that approach you after you check in. Unless a "gold member" food options very limited. In room water never restocked. Beds are very uncomfortable. Staff were all very pleasant. South end of strip so it's closer to tours and airport which was nice.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Family Resort

Family vacation for 9 people - 5 adults and 4 children. We stayed here during Spring Break 2017. Nice quick ride from the airport, clean rooms, nice amenities with lots to do for everyone. Good buffet for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants (except for the Mexican one - they claimed they didn`t have our confirmed reservations and really didn`t care). Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Excellent Resort

Rooms were big.Food was good.The best part if you like to go on trips and stay busy this is the place for you.Biking catamaran snorkelling kayaking and it's all included.Plenty of walking areas buses into town for 12 pesos.l rarely go to a resort where l would return but this place is an exception.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fun Family-friendly Resort

Sandos Caracol Ecoresort was a really enjoyable place for my family of 5, including three children under 8. Lots of natural forests and wildlife all around and despite the large number of people there, it wasn't difficult to find a quiet place to relax. The children loved the waterslide park, especially my toddler who splashed in the 30 cm deep kiddie slide area. The other pools were nice but not exactly suitable for young children as there were typically 1.4 m deep with small shallow led [... read more]ges. The main pool, beach-side, was packed all day long, and consequently quite noisy with thumping music and waterpolo dominating the area in front of the swim-up bar; okay, if you want the party atmosphere. The ocean was spectacular - pristine turquoise blue with a view of Cozumel 18 kn across the straight. The beach sand was white and soft, perfect for sand castle building. Unfortunately, the shore is rocky all along, so the little ones weren't able to sit in the shallows with an adult - it hurt too much. Found a small sandy area on the far east of the beach where you could walk right in between the coral - too late of a find for us. Kids Club was well managed and supervised and the children (ages 5 and 7) loved it. Giant climbing structure, ping pong tables, pool, movies, and organized games were all awaiting them. The room was large and comfortable (Jr. Suite) with a terrace, overlooking the jungle, that featured a spa tub. No view of the ocean from here, but it was a perfect place for private sunbathing, and for the children to play when at the room. Room Service was thorough, if a bit late in the day. Italian restaurant was excellent, especially the lasgana and steak. Buffet had a huge range of food options that were tasty and fresh, and enough Mexican flair to last a lifetime. Definitely will go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Huge Resort

Hotel is very nice and clean, grounds are amazing, staff is awesome, food was very good, especially the a la carts. We liked it but it was a little to big and spread out, we have stayed at GBP in Punta Cana and this resort is four times more spread out that there! The most disappointing here though was the beach, it is rocky, chopped up and very hard to walk, nothing on Punta Cana!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Exceptional Resort

We have been to Mexico at least a dozen times and this resort is way up there as one of our favourites. We stayed at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa for the week of March 23. We upgraded to the Privilege Package and would recommend this for anyone who wants exceptional service and pampering. We only went to the buffet once, and that was because we were curious. Our room was [... read more] well appointed with private butler service. 4 amazing pools and a very long stretch of soft sand beach for walks. We never had to do the towel dance in the morning like all other resorts we had been to, didn't matter if you arrived at 7am or 1pm, there was always chairs and a shade hut for you on the privilege section of the beach. Bar service to your chair all day long from the amazing Gabriella. What a jem she is for this resort. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make your stay a great one. Do not overlook this resort, it's amazing! Upgrade to the privilege section, its worth every penny!!!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort!

First time in Mexico and I was very pleased! Beautiful resort friendly staff! The grounds and buildings are well maintained and clean. Food was great... lots of selection for buffet and restaurants. Lots of pools! People that want to relax were able to find quiet on the resort and there is also lots of fun and entertainment if you're looking for that. We had a couple windy days so the water was a bit murky and a bit of seaweed but that didn't bother us... it's an ocean. They cleaned it up every  [... read more]morning. The only thing I would have a complaint about is the air fresheners in the lobby sitting area being very strong smelling and the prices of the photos and some of the items in the gift store are super ridiculously overpriced.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing Resort

Service was first class, beautiful grounds, excellent food and drinks. Beach was long and had some sandy areas and other areas were great for snorkeling. There was lots to do and see. I plan on going back to this resort next year. I shot over 2 1/2 hours of video while I was there. Posada Real Los Cabos: Nice, clean, quiet resort

Not a high end resort but still very enjoyable. Good food, very friendly staff. Rooms clean and great access to the beach. Within walking distance of lots of amenities and easy bus access. Great selection for the price.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Sunscape Dorado Pacifico

This was an amazing hotel. From comments we heard, most other hotels were not as nice as this one. The rooms were very nice, ocean view. 4 elevators, kept very clean. The resort was beautiful. Well kept, clean, service was amazing. Everyone spoke very good English. They went out of their way to accomodate your requests. Food was very good esp in a la cart restaurants. Town was right across the road for shopping and restaurants and casino. The pool was awesome with swim up bar as was the beach. [... read more] Can walk for a mile on beach which was extremely clean. Water bit too rough for much swimming but that was fine. Both the pool and ocean was very warm. Lot of Canadians there. We would definately go back.

Barcelo Karmina: Lovely place!

Lovely pool areas. Should have a slide for adults as well. Food was good. Love the Mexican hot chocolate. Unfortunately, check in was slow and then had to line up again for a la carte reservations as my booking was not on the list at the airport. Staff was friendly most areas but the lobby front desk. The young men working were slow and not too helpful. Beach area was a bit disappointing with harsh sand/mini rocks and small. We had a basic Junior Deluxe Suite was large and well kept. No vi [... read more]ew but not there to stay in the room. Evening shows were a little lack lustre. The piano player was superb in the lobby.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful place with friendly people

This was a great vacation. Good food with lots of choices. This resort is very clean and well maintained. Helpful people and the service is over the top. Day trips to eating at the specialty restaurants was all handled very professionally.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: as good as our previous visits

this was our 4th visit to the Valentin Imperial maya. everything was pretty much as expected from our arrival with prompt check in, receiving the room quite rapidly to getting to the room with the bell boy. At night, the food in the restaurants was as nice as it was in our previous visits. The services is always great, the only place the service is usually a notch below is the Mexican restaurant, I noticed that in all of our visits, this restaurant is the one where the service is a bit disorga [... read more]nized compare to the other restaurants. The greeting staff at the restaurant by the beach for breakfast and lunch are very efficient, some servers are better than others but in general things go quite smoothly. I find that there is less food variety at the beach restaurant at lunch time than previous visit, there is still quite a lot to choose from but I can see the difference between each of our visit in the last 2 years. The cushions at the outdoor restaurant terraces and the beach restaurant are getting a bit thin and not comfy to sit on for an extended period of time, It might be time to upgrade them. This is still one of our favourite place on the mayan riviera and we will return soon. Maybe a quick note to mention that the workers at these resorts work hard and us the people visiting the resorts should not be cheap with our tips.
