El Cid Granada: Relaxing vacation

A large resort with a quite side at the Granada and a busy but fun area on beach side Marina part down the road is amazing staff is great food is good beach is fun room was nice Town is great and safe Loved it

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Nice place, lack of service

We really liked the location and hotel. It was well maintained and the rooms were nice. What was really disappointing was the lack of service. They need way more staff to reduce wait times at the restaurants and to provide quicker service around pools. The pools also weren't heated so they were to cold to swim in on cooler days.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Beautiful Resort

We loved our stay at the Azul Ixtapa Grand. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Our room was spotless clean everyday. The rooms are spacious, large balcony and a huge shower. Plenty of large towels and facecloths were available everyday. The linens were nice. My only suggestion for improvement in the room would be better pillows. The gym is the nicest hotel gym I've ever used, it's amazingly equipped for a Mexican resort. The pool areas were all very nice and clean. The service poolside was always excellent. The bartender in the grotto was awesome. The snack bar always had a good selection of fresh food. The inifinity pool is amazing. It was a refreshing spot to cool off and the view from the pool is great. We enjoyed the bike tour and kayak tour to Ixtapa Island. It would be nice if we were allowed to take kayaks/bikes out on our own without a guide. We loved our long walks along Playa Linda which is about a 10 minute walk from the resort. The beach is beautiful and you can walk a long way. Loved the location. Staff at the resort were all very friendly.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Third time at Si'an Kaan

This was our third visit to the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Kaan and we were a little disappointed. The level of attention to detail we had grown accustomed to in prior visits, was not quite the same. Pools were great, food was awesome, grounds were meticulous but the service at this 5 star wasn't always top notch. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and they did nothing to help us celebrate-in fact, my husband paid the waiter to decorate our dinner table with rose petals. No one eve [... read more]n acknowledged our milestone and it was printed on our travel docs and we mentioned it verbally upon arrival. One morning we took the trolley to the Sian Kaan beach and the driver dropped us off at the Akumal lobby and told us to walk the rest of the way. The next day the same driver hit a speed bump so hard the lady in the first section lost her bag off the cart and hit her head! The crash was so loud we thought the second cart had come unhitched! Thankfully he stopped and everyone was ok and the lady got off herself to retrieve her bag. We only got to 3 different a la cart restaurants as one was closed due to unforeseen circumstances and we couldn't make the time given for the reservation they offered in it's place, and we lost another because the reservation desk booked 2 for the same date and we didn't notice until dinner time! We are not ones to make a fuss and we never complained at the time but I was looking forward to sharing my feedback with the Front Desk Manager as we checked out (especially since we were the only ones at the desk at the time and wouldn't be over heard by other guests or hold up the line for service)- but the manager never even asked if we enjoyed our stay!! Like I said, it is a great resort and has lots to offer and if we hadn't of had such great service prior to this we probably wouldn't have known the difference but it was disappointing to be celebrating such a milestone in our marriage and it not even be acknowledged! We had been contemplating joining the premier club until this visit, we've put that decision on hold for now. Perhaps a visit back to the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar will restore our faith- we've always had great experiences there.

Isla Natura Beach: Excellant

Spent one week with another couple and we are all over sixty. Room, staff, food all A1. Yes there are some minor issues, steps down to the beach and no handrail on steps into the pool but unless you have mobile difficulties it shouldn't deter a visit.

Occidental Cozumel: Awesome vacation

Occidental was an amazing resort, everything was so well looked after, very tropical looking. Food was fantastic everywhere on the resort. This was probably the best resort all inclusive that we have been to yet. We stayed in the royal luxury level, rooms were absolutely beautiful but the only complaint I had about them was they weren't consistent on keeping shampoo/conditioner and face clothes stocked in our room. Fridge was supposed to be stocked everyday with beverages but they also forgot [... read more] to fill the beer each time. But all in all we would 100% go back to this resort for sure and would recomend to everyone.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Good Time

This was the second time at this resort as we had a wonderful experience the first time. Let me say the staff was the best. Everyone we were in contact with were very helpful and friendly. However this trip was not as good as the first.. The food this time was not up to par. Perhaps they changed head chefs, who knows. The food did not seem to be the quality for a 4 star resort. As for the grounds , everything was clean and well maintained. All in all yes we would recommend this resort to others. Its proximity to Playa Del Carmen is a plus as well.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful Resort

This resort had a lot of green spaces which is what our preference is. The buildings were surrounded by trees and trails for nice leisurely walks. Shuttles were also provided for those not able to do a lot of walking. There were plenty of activities to do on site if you choose to not leave the resort. Kids Club- Kids club was available for what seems like all day! There was a mini disco for the kids to attend followed by different activities such as movie night, Hawaiian night, piñata party etc. Our kids were never bored. Nancy gave our whole family a small token at the end of our trip. She is a fantastic and essential part of their team! Adult Activities and Entertainment - There was always something going on at the pool or at the beach as far as activities were concerned. They had short games to keep things interesting as well as daily aqua aerobics, salsa lessons, evening pub and shows in the theatre. There was an area for table games such as fooseball, air hockey, pool table etc. Dining-Dining was great. There were 7 a la carte restaurants. 5 of which were their own separate restaurants. The other 2 were more of a casual patio dining experience. The upper patio overlooked the lower patio and theatre. The food was good but service was a little slow in the Oriental Dining. We waited over half an hour for our entrée and ended up leaving because our kids wanted to attend the mini disco. We ended up going to the buffet after. The Oriental Dining was also the smallest of all the restaurants so there was a lot of people waiting for a table as it is a first come first serve arrangement. Breakfast buffets were available in the main building area as well as at the beach restaurant. Both were very big buffets. The beach restaurant had a stunning view and it was in an open area. Staff was exceptional at all the restaurants. Rooms-Our rooms were cleaned daily even when we said that it wasn't necessary. They provided us with fresh clean towels and stocked the bar fridge daily. Rodrigo would make towel animals for our kids everyday and the kids looked forward to seeing them. Scuba - The instructors were very attentive and great with our young child who was just old enough to participate in the Discovery program.

Grand Sunset Princess: Very nice resort

The hotel was as described. Check-in was quick and easy. Food was good in both the buffets and a la carte with a good selection and daily variations. Pools were nice though difficult to find a lounger. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Food!

The resort itself was nice, clean, modern. The food was the best I've ever had at a resort, however, the diamond club upgrade was definitely not worth the money. While I enjoyed the resort, I wouldn't go back. It is quite isolated. There were a ton of families and children. It is definitely geared more for families and teens.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Awesome Resort

The grounds were meticulously kept, our room and view was awesome and you could not pick a more picturesque spot to have breakfast than Oceana restaurant. The staff was always friendly and eager to help. The romantic diner was spectacular, the food and view were great! By far the best food I've had at a resort! The only disappointment was with the beach, the water was too rough to swim. All in all a great experience.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Great resort

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Great holiday decision

From the moment we got there we were greeted with warm smiles, friendly staff, luxurious surroundings, and second to none service. Plenty of food options not to disappointment. Thank you to all and we hope to be back soon!!!!

Tropicana Hotel: Seven years in row...Must be good

This is one of the oldest hotels in PV. That means the best beach...they got first pick. They are up grading more and more every year. Staff is so friendly. Clean. Lunch is great. Never had dinner there. Best guacamole ever!!! Met so many beautiful people, hopefully new best friends from all over the world. Just got back and booking again for November.

Occidental Cozumel: Absolutely beautiful resort and great for kids

We had a great experience. We have travelled to about 10 other all inclusive resorts across the Caribbean (Cuba, DR, Roatan) with our now 7 year old. This was our first trip with her and our 20 month old. The resort is beautiful. Rooms are super clean and updated. Food was good. Food can be a bit repetitive but one of the best we have been to and we usually stay at 4 or 5 stars. The lunch beachside buffet is big and opens very shortly after breakfast ends. The pool is right next to the beach which is great for people like me who have a child far more interested in the pool and I want to be at the beach. The kids club staff were amazing. They always had activities for the kids from pool activities to arts and crafts poolside and water balloon fights etc. They were very creative. Evening entertainment is lacking a bit compared to much bigger resorts but since I travel with kids I am ready for bed by 9pm anyway. Coffee is readily available before breakfast even opens which was great for my early morning walks keeping my baby from waking our entire building. Water was calm 5 of 7 days. Snorkelling out front of the resort was boring. Very flat and looked like a sandy field. I am not sure what the hype is about snorkelling there off the resort. Diving was ok. Well organized but diving is much better in Roatan, Honduras. They only have one beach bar with one bartender who hussled, but it was very slow because all of the drinks are made fresh from scratch. Annoying to me because I only drank beer but for those that like sugary fancy drinks you would appreciate the effort they put into the drinks. Overall we would definitely go back to this resort because it was smaller, and great for the kids. The entertainment staff (only 4 people) were incredible and were really what made the trip. They deserve a lot of credit.

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Paradise Village resort

Paradise Village resort, Absolutely beautiful resort. Relaxing, great food, beautiful beach and friendly staff. Trip central made our vacation easy, with no worries. Price was a little high and fluctuated a lot before departure date. probably would not do all inclusive again, very expensive and really did not get any special service.

Riu Tequila: Great Vacation Spot

All staff and entertainment was just amazing. Hotel holds it old world charm of Mexico. Would've been nice if it was on the ocean as well, but it was just a short walk away. Hats off to the Entertainment staff from the early morning, well into the evenings who were always out to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Would come time anytime

One of the best resort I have been too, the service was top notch. I was a little bit worried as I had read in other reviews that the staff seemed to pay more attention to people coming for convention, this was not the case at all. Food was pretty good, lots of options. We had no issues with noise or constructions. The pools are pretty crowded but we always found chairs. We mostly stayed on the beach, where for some reason not that many people went too. There was quite a few jelly fi [... read more]sh, which was unusual for March. The only down side I found was there isnt many activities others then beach and drinking. I like going for 2 weeks and it could get repetitive. There wasnt catamarant, kayak, golf, bikes, etc. For people that have never been to P.V. , very nice little town and I actually felt safe. Locals were very friendly and respectful, I have been to quite a few cities and PV is a must go.

Allegro Cozumel: Fantastic spot!

Best trip we've had, and we've been to Cuba, DR and Mexico before. What a paradise this is! Stunning beach, well manicured grounds, not too big. Everything you need for a fantastic stay. We went into town and had a great time exploring some of the local culture. Some of the main strip can be pricey as it's cruise-ship oriented but don't be afraid to explore a few blocks deeper into town. Snorkelling off shore was a ton of fun and we saw a lot of colourful fish, cuttlefish, stingray and a barracuda. Fantastic for kids, with a large splash park and activity area, but this time we went without ours and there were plenty of quiet places for adults to sit back and relax. I would go back to this resort in a heartbeat. You can see they are working hard at keeping it at a high level, with much maintenance and updating going on daily (tending to the grounds, touch up painting, improving structures etc). It really felt like a little slice of paradise. Rooms on the upper level are loud, that's true. There was a bird who landed on our thatched roof each morning to sing and sometimes you'd swear he was in the bed beside you. But that didn't really bother us too much. If you want a quieter room, ask for one away from the main paths/pools and on the lower level.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Barcello Maya Beach Resort

We found the Hotel far too big and the staff was not very friendly at all. The maid that cleaned the room either forgot to leave coffee or water to make it. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
