Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort
Everything was great except there was one step that came from the buffet to the pool bar that should be ramped up. Not only myself but several other people during the 7 days that we were there either fell or almost fell. Something really needs to done about this. But overall I would recommend this resort. Great food and great service!!
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort in my book 5 over 5
The Republican peoples are very polite and they are easy to acces the food are good the beach is pretty good the room are perfect and very clean the people care about you an the view from the room it is very nice.I will go back no problemo !!!
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing
Real value for your dollar! Clean, friendly, excellent food.Great location for a totally relaxed rest. Don't bother with the restaurants at the other resort. You have the best at the Luxury resort. I'm looking forward to visiting other Luxury Bahia resorts.
Riu Bambu: Very disappointing food!!!!!
The resort itself is very nice with great grounds and well maintained spaces. The beach is great; lots of white sand and kilometres to walk and walk. The amenities are descent and the entertainment was very "entertaining". The food was very, very disappointing. I have had much better food in Cuba....and you know that is saying something. There was repetition of food items, the food was overcooked, had no spices. The wine is the absolute worst I have ever tasted. Years in the past we stayed at Ri [... read more]
Occidental Caribe: great property and layout
We walked the beach and did not find a property in the immediate area that Had as many waterfront rooms and ocean view rooms as this property. It was also very open and well laid out with a quiet pool and a more active pool with the swim up bar. You could not go hungry here however upon our return I was sick for 3 days. Can't blame the food for sure but ???? The resort could use some updating and does show its age to a degree. However,as previously mentioned all of the newer resorts in the area [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: An Excellent Resort
The resort is very well maintained and the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The public beach is excellent, very clean, albeit rough seas due to location. The food was excellent and many choices of places to eat. It would be nice to have known it is a good idea to book our restaurant reservations for the full week upon our arrival (i.e. for places outside of the buffet choices). The trolley services (transportation) around the resort are good, however it would be nice [... read more]
Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great resort
Hotel , grounds were amazingly clean, food was great. Only issue was our bar fridge leaked and wouldn't keep things cold. Was never fixed , complained desk first night, and also would have liked it better stocked, no rum and only 2 beer per day for the two of us
Paradisus Punta Cana: Amazing Time
Had a fabulous time and would definitely go back. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a cold drink and towel. Check-in was fast and we were off to our room in no time. Since we arrived late in the afternoon we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool, but we made up for it for the rest of our 1 week stay. The rooms are broken down into 2 level buildings with 4 rooms per floor. We stayed on the first floor near the pool. The bathroom has a large double shower. We did have a problem with the water [... read more]
Catalonia Royal Bavaro: An amazing time away from Canadian winter
The grounds are very nice. Considering this is an older reaort they are doing upgrades and additions to the grounds to freshen things up. No buffets only a la cart and no need for reservations which is awesome. Food was good always had something to eat, pizza was amazing and the alcohol was premium. Was auto rises the report offered Clamato juice as few on this island do. Rooms were a little tired but very clean. Staff was friendly and the nice ride from the airport was very short. Great music i [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Vacation!
The resort was lovely, HUGE but very clean and well maintained. The staff were wonderful, always greeting tourists with a smile and a "Hola!!" Our room was spacious and clean, the maids do a wonderful job. The beach was beautiful and the pool was awesome. Our travel times to and from the resort were excellent, arrived at noon and left at noon. Food in the buffet was very good as were the 2 a la cartes.
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful Resort
Beautiful beach and resort with incredibly friendly staff. Food and buffet was amazing and the excursions made our trip memorable. Our only issue was with cleaning staff who often forgot to give us towels.
Occidental Caribe: Good value for money
The facilities are quite nice, beautiful beach that never ends and staff friendly. Food is good, keeping in mind you are in the Caribbean. The only sacrifice from a five star resort is drink service, you have to go get it yourself, so as long as that's not a deal breaker you'll have a great time!
Royalton Splash Punta Cana: It was ok
I was very disappointed upon arrival to find out that the 2 rooms we booked (1 for my husband and 1 and the other for my 3 daughters) we separated and not connecting like we had requested. We left memories and ended our vacation at the Royalton which was incredible!! The rooms were elegant, the service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the pools/beach was everything we imagined. Picture perfect. Will definitely be returning to the Royalton Resort & Casino in the future.
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice resort
Grounds were immaculate. Beach area was huge, but get there early to grab a beach chair! Stayed in Ambar 1 to be closer to the beach, however went to Ambar 2 for the pool. A lot quieter with lots of lounge chairs!
Occidental Caribe: Perfect Family trip!
Amazing trip. Resort was exceptionally clean, staff were very polite and prompt and the food was delicious with vast selection. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Lots of chairs around the pool and lots of different activities to do on the hour every hour. Couldn't ask for more.
Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Nice and relaxing
The property overall was ok. Upsides were the spa pool area, hammocks, decent beach, the food was ok. Downsides lobby bar not free, only one room key allowed, the constant vendors on the beach, no free WiFi (convenient for staying in touch with kids). We did meet some great people and that made it more enjoyable.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: We bin in Bahia 3 times. We love it. Exellente.
Everything is vary good except washrooms by the beach. You need more of them and clean them often. Most of the times they were dirty. Love the beach, it was always very clean. I never use the pols. Sometimes it vas hart to find chairs. You should get more of them.
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: good for money and weather in February
Clean, nice grounds, pools, beach is bad, but pools make up for it. Good food. Customer service is abominable. AirTransat representative was dismissive and condescending and lied that we can not check in for return flight on line, because on destination it is before 72 hours (was not true at all - I did checked in on line between 24 hours before flight).
Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Amazing Resort
My husband and I loved our stay at the Casa Marina, All the staff on hand were extremely friendly, the resort was well kept. The food was wonderful. The only thing that we would recommend is that when we arrive as we had a two hour wait for our room is that the agent that is down there to go through things at that time while we wait instead of the following morning.
Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Uneven
The beaches were wonderful as were the activities and the food. I was disappointed with the disrepair of the room. The sink was squirting water so we needed a towel on the floor. The bath was in poor condition. The room felt like it needed to be renovated. The safe required a key instead of a combination.
