Samba Vallarta: Great Resort, Fantastic Service

This is the second time we have gone to this resort. It is small which we love but has the amenities of a large resort. The staff is extremely accommodating and always happy. The first room we were given was a bit below average, but upon request for something else we were upgraded to a very nice room with a great view of the pool and ocean. As it was Dec, a lot of families were in the resort which made it quite noisy with running and loud talking in the hallways most of the night. Our last  [... read more]stay was in March which was a much quieter demographic of people. We will most likely return to Samba next year to once again experience the hospitality of this resort. We flew Air Transat on this trip for the first time and it was one of the best flights we’ve had to the area in years.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Fantastic Experience!

Beautiful setting, lovely resort, relaxing, entertaining, fun, great food and service.. well worth the trip and money! Remember your covering and shirt after sunning and swimming. A towel draped around the neck or around the waist do not count - and not necessary as the towels are given and returned in the pool area. The lobby, elevator, restaurants and all non-pool/beach areas require decent dress for everyone. I appreciate the class and opportunity to dress nice for dinner and events.

Riu Flamingos: Good Holiday

Dining, service, pool and facilities excellent. Check in was fast and quick. The rooms and washrooms need upgrades and renovation. Staff was helpful and friendly .Great selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed the buffet food and the rooms were kept clean and tidy everyday. We enjoyed staying in the hotel

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice Resort

Nice clean smaller resort with exceptional staff. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, the patio has a jacuzzi which was fun. Great beach, lots of chairs/loungers. They have a rule about not saving chairs and we found that to be one of the best parts of this resort because you didn't have to wake up and worry whether or not you were going to get a spot on the beach or by the pool if you didn't get up by 6 am and reserve a spot. We were always able to get a spot by the pool or  [... read more]beach even if we didn't get down there until 11 or 12 (and there were 6 of us). The infinity pool closest to the beach is the coldest pool that I have ever been in, it is refreshing to say the least. Another advantage to this resort is that you don't have to wear wrist bands and you don't have to reserve the a la carte restaurants but unfortunately during our stay they were renovating 2 of the 5 a la carte restaurants which was very disappointing because it limited our selection and we didn't get any advance warning that they were closing them. We did however get to go to them because we were there for 9 nights but 5-6 of those nights they were closed, had we known we would have planned some of the dinners differently. There is not much to do at night and it is not located close to anything that you can really walk to so you have to take a bus or taxi to get to anything in the evening so if you are looking for nightlife you won't find it here. The staff are very friendly and eager to please, I would definitely recommend this resort.

Crown Paradise Golden: Nice resort

Lots of variety of foods great restaurants great waiters they look after very well very polite close to all amenities just need a little more entertainment bars to be open longer like designated areas for smoking

Riu Flamingos: Great Resort

The service at this hotel is excellent. The staff works hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The only thing I would say that is a bit of a negative is the mattresses on the beds are very hard and be sure to take some Off so that you dont get bothered by any of the insects you are sure to find here. The food at the buffet is very good with enough choice that there should be something even picky eaters would find appealing. I would return to this resort again.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Amazing Resort .

This hotel is awesome , convenient to go everywhere , 5 minutes to downtown . Easy to catch public bus , right in front of the hotel . The rooms are beautiful , clean , ocean view .The restaurants are fantastic . Highly recommend it .

Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Excellent Location

We have stayed here before and will stay here again. Staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and food is great. It is close to public transport. I consider it one of the best places to stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Samba Vallarta: Great resort

Grounds and entire resort are well kept. Clean and tidy at all times. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to make our stay memorable. Many of them remembered us from last year's visit. Samba is an ideally perfect smaller sized resort which would suit those who don't care for the hustle, bustle of a larger resort. Plus it only takes a few minutes to get from the rooms to the pool/ocean and restaurants.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: A Great Family Sporting Property

This being our second visit to the Palladium and feel that they have scaled up the service levels and courtesy to their guests. Great clean beach for surfing, bogey boards and swimming. We will be back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: 2nd time; another awesome holiday!

This was the second holiday my husband and I spent at the Royal Decameron in Bucerías. We were just as impressed this year as last. Rated as a three star, this resort gets reviews like a four star. The grounds are immaculate, the buildings colourful and always being maintained. The staff is always super polite and friendly. Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Friendly resort in prime location

I would like to thank you for making our stay at your hotel a very enjoyable experience. The vacation started out a little rocky because first, our flight arrived 13 hours late, and second, we were told your hotel was temporarily closed and hence we were sent to another hotel. That, by the way, turned out to be a pleasant experience. On day three of our vacation, we did finally check in at your hotel. The changes of the schedule were handled graciously and with minimal loss of pleasure for u [... read more]s. But we particularly enjoyed the remaining 4 days at your hotel. Our room was not big, but comfortable, and fitted with a balcony offering not a full panoramic view of the ocean, but nevertheless a nice slice of view over the bay of Banderas, as well as a city and mountain view. The service was impeccable throughout, the food very nice. We loved the traditional Mexican cuisine, and the fried fish served at lunchtime at the Sunset restaurant was simply delicious. We dined one night at the lovely Corazon Contento, where the food was presented with sophistication by super friendly staff. The dishes were tasty, the only criticism I have is that it was all served somewhat lukewarm rather than hot, something I think should be fundamental for a classy restaurant. Other meals we had at the Frutas y Flores buffet were delightful, again with a service by friendly staff that can't be beaten. We appreciated that the hotel and its grounds were meticulously clean and well maintained, the location and the vistas from the hotel area are simply spectacular. I was bothered just a little bit by the music, especially that there was competing music from the Sunset bar and the speakers spread out on the grounds. I would rather have liked to have quiet times, although the Jazz that was played at the Sunset bar was completely compatible with my taste. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Colorful Resort and not just the Iguanas

Loved the exterior colors of the buildings. Aztec Blue. Xihuacan Orange. Red. Purple. Royal Decameron Complex is the first all-inclusive resort in our experience where one is able to enjoy a specialty restaurant as often as one likes, as opposed to other resorts where one may book a specialty restaurant just once or twice per visit. Our favorite was Piccolos. The buffet selections are very good, as well. The grounds are well cared-for, the pools clean. Our room was clean, the bed was c [... read more]omfortable, hot water was adequate, and our request for a mini-fridge was answered promptly. The resort can be a bit noisy at night, depending on where one's room is located. The theatre sound is aimed into the complex. Our room was near wedding celebrations at one end of the building and another entertainment stage by a pool area at the other. The nightly theatrical shows were generally good although we found the dance routines repetitive and the strobing lights effects very distracting. The emcee was a bit over the top. He talked too fast and too much.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Beautiful Resort!!

We upped our budget for this trip to try Secrets and we were not disappointed!! Our room was spacious, the grounds were beautiful and the dining experiences exceeded expectations...the staff were very friendly and helpful...we will most certainly be back!!!

Riu Flamingos: wonderful budget minded family holiday

Riu Jalisco was very well maintained. Clean and well groomed. Basic rooms small but we got a steal and just went there to sleep. Beds very comfortable. Staff all very polite and accommodating. Downside was the gym which was not well equipped and many machines were out of order. We were able to get by though. I did miss the second little swivel mirror usually equipped on the wall which I use when getting all done up. I didn't bring one as I assumed there would be one. Food was A1 and a great vari [... read more]ety daily. We only used the beach as the water is so warm and waves fun. Pools seemed a bit crowded but everyone seemed to be having a good time. Delicious morning coffees! We did watch two entertainment in eve which was well done and enjoyable. Our 14 year old son also had a great time with no complaints. PLENTY of beach loungers and areas of shade and sun plentiful. Always a buffet open somewhere with everything one needed. No real complaints and would definately return. GORGEOUS sunsets and lots to do!

We loved our stay at the riu Jalisco...Sunwing rep. helped us out with any information we needed...Food excellent. Pools and beach fantastic. Nightly entertainment was the best...All kinds of things to do....

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Awesome resort!

We had an amazing stay at the Fiesta Americana while were there celebrating our 25th anniversary! The resort is smaller with more personalized care and attention. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the Mexican theme night out on the patio that included Mexican dancers and a mariachi band! We can't wait to come back again! The beach is nice and the food was above our expectations.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great place to relax and enjoy the sites

Overall experience was good. Service was amazing and easily accessible to most things that you would need. Presently there is construction from 7am until dark making it noisy in your room which was disappointing if you didn't mind being woken up at that hour daily and the night club across the street goes until 2am. So if your a light sleeper, bring lots of earplugs. The beach area was nice and enjoyable. There were lots of beach merchants which is the main reason I would not go back. Your int [... read more]erupted on the beach about every 10 minutes by someone trying to sell you something most of the day. By the pool they can't bother you but on the beach it's fair game so be aware. The hotel was located in the city so you could Uber it to many places to take in the sites or grab some food which was great. Felt very safe and all the locals at the resort or off were very helpful and kind.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Beautiful resort

We loved secrets and would highly recommend it to any couple traveling there. Check in excellent, food amazing, room excellent. Service above anything the best we have had. The beach isn’t the best to swim in, love the pool live entertainment during the afternoons. Pool service very good.

Crown Paradise Club: Fun for kids, but tired and dated

The kids play area is great, but the rest of the resort is tired and needs a good clean and updates. The rooms are very basic, and beds are tiny and uncomfortable! Food was ok, nothing special. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a fun week but won't be going back to this resort until it's done some reno's.
