Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: too big of a resort

Our room was badly situated 2142 view of the city. Saturday the club in town had a huge party it was loud til about 3AM. On a daily basis you can hear a dog bark, horns, cars, firetruck even heard 2 gun shot. Public was allowed on resort. The beach was across the street.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Great resort

It's a very nice resort. All common area including bathrooms always clean. Food was average. Not much waiter service in Buffet ! Walkways on grounds are oddly laid out. Swim up Rooms very nice. Cheers!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: beautiful resort

This hotel looks amazing and the rooms are exceptional, food is only ok, beach water is cloudy, long way from airport in Punta Cana, Staff were very attentive to all your needs, bar service in lobby was slow and drinks were ok

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Nice resort

Decent resort although very busy, this was our second time there and last. It is big which we don't mind but found to many small kids this time that were loud. Also our plane home was cancelled and resort staff would not negotiate and a better rate for the one night extra we had to stay. They wanted $360 and the airline would only offer $250 for us, given we were there last year, just spent ten days there this time and they had rooms available we thought they should have done something for us so [... read more] we didn't have to transfer to another hotel for one night, they did nothing for us and were rude, we will not go to another Gran Bahia resort again! I would have thought that given they could make $250 instead of nothing for the night and keep their returning guests happy they would oblige, good business sense to me but no! As it turned out the Westin in Punta Cana where we were transferred to had much more comfortable beds, nicer bathroom and towels, the AC in the room actually kept you cool and the two meals we had were much better than the GB Bavaro. Gran Bahia resorts do not care about you, your needs or if you ever come back, and we won't be back.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great resort for families!

This hotel is between a 3.5 star and 4. We were a couple that didn't being our kids and found the resort better for families than couples. The pool area was a bit too busy for us, but there were lots of quiet spots on the beach. Nice beach with swimming areas and a big bonus is that you can snorkel. Next time I would get a superior room instead of standard. The food was good and Japanese restaurant is the best a la carte. We stayed 11 days and it was an overall great trip :)

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great trip!

The resort is not terribly large, which I liked. We stayed in the Cayenna building and it was fantastic location, close to pool, beach and restaurants. Great staff... near everyone was incredibly friendly. Food was ok, I had read reviews that a la cartes were amazing, but I only really enjoyed the Asian and Mexican... the others I wouldn't bother with and was tough to get a decent reservation time despite the restaurants being nearly empty each time we went. Shows weren't that great... we only attended 1 and a few minutes of another.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Value for your money

Rooms are clean and modern furniture. Pools and beach excellent and never had a problem finding a chair. Many choices of where to eat. Staff very friendly. Grounds are amazing. transfer from airport to this resort for quick.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Fantastic Vacation

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. This is a huge resort that offers a shuttle service which was very helpful. We ate mostly at the Main Buffet and the food was awesome. Biggest buffet I have seen on any of our vacations. Lots of variety that no one would walk away hungry. The room was fantastic, we had a one bedroom om master suite and would do it again. Only thing I wished for was a rye & coke and they had neither. They carry Pepsi only which gives me severe heart burn but I wouldn't say it ruined my vacation. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Clean resort.

We had a alright stay. Our air conditioning wasn't working for 3 days, one of the other rooms our friends were staying in the toilet wasn't working for couple days. We really didn't like the food much really found it hard to find something for our youngest son. Also the air flight with sunwing was awful. On the way coming home we waited for 4 hours we didn't know what was going on why it was delayed all other flights were going out. We spent 60-89 dollars on food. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Very tropical resort but lacked good service

Beautiful and well maintained grounds. Food was excellent and lots of variety. Rooms were nice and staff were pleasant. Only complaint is that resort was overbooked, and there didn't seem to be enough staff to handle the requests. There were long waits at the bar and the buffet. Forget about getting into any of the a la cartes unless you wanted to dine at 9 pm. Also lacked in entertainment; never saw any of the entertainment crew at all.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Exceeded my expectations, great family vacation.

Our room was very clean & modern, kept fully stocked by housekeeping. We had somebody follow up with us the same day we arrived to make sure our room was OK and showed us how to use the TV properly. The grounds were well manicured and maintained. Restaurants had great variety which was great for my two picky eaters.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Value

My wife and I spent a terrific week here last month and would happily return. The amenities (even a gym), location, entertainment, service and especially the food were all above our expectations. Wifi was good, and though not free, was inexpensive.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: A definite on my return list!!

I had reservations on traveling solo for a tropical vacation... But it turned out to be awesome... Great service, amazing food...all my needs met and then some! I would give it a 4.5 rating. My trip central agent chose the best place for me... And would use her again.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: love this resort

The food is fantastic...the grounds are beautiful and the resort itself is so pretty.and .very clean. The staff really go out of their way to make you welcome. We upgraded to the honeymoon suite...worth every penny.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great family vacation

Excellent resort for families with little guys. Room was spacious and modern. Large private beach with hard packed sand nice for walking. Grounds and buildings were well maintained. Only complaint is the hotel supplied cribs were unsafe & rickety at best. Bring a playpack if you have children, everything else was great!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort.

Grounds and main pool area are wery well kept. Beach is close to anywhere you are staying in the resort. Buffet was extremly good with large variety of foods. A la Carte restaurants were also very good.

Secrets Royal Beach: An Incredibley Beautiful Resort

The pictures of this resort are not a lie. The property is lush, tropical, mature. Stunning views from every room. So, so clean rooms. Quiet at night and fun during the day. But, plenty of quiet (and private) spots for the recluse. We have travelled to so many resorts over the years. Royal Beach was beautiful and every single staff is interested in your happiness there. Entertainment was excellent. Food is excellent. Check in with Gandrey at the pool. We loved this guy!

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: playa dorada celuisma not even 2 star

This was my first trip to Dominican Republic. It was not a great first impression. Resort is in need of major repair and service. Rooms were old, no fridge, air conditioner was noisy and didn't work Taps leaked, more water came out of the taps than faucet, toilets did not flush properly, toilet was always plugging. Light fixture did not work consistently. No hot water for showers. Food was terrible and always cold. I have been to a 3 start resort in Cuba and the food was better there. There was  [... read more]a water cooler on each building but unless you ask you do not get water, and even when we asked, it took 24 hours before we had water. Service in the dining area was terrible. Also, only one four slice toaster for the entire resort. Beach was lettered and a lot of seaweed. The bartenders at the beach bar were fantastic, very friendly and would walk out onto the beach to serve you.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beatiful Hotel and EXCELLENT STAFF.

The best thing about this hotel is the ANIMATION TEAM and their hospitality. The Bahia Principle had a wonderful buffet and variety for the inclusive package. I recommend the Italian restaurant on site as well, although I personally did not enjoy the others, with a party of (9) we had mixed reviews of the gourmet restaurants on site - but there are 3 to choose from... so something for everyone!

Food was amazing, but we found the resort much to large and impersonal, we decided to try a 5 star to see the difference, but actually felt we received less then lower star resorts we were required to wake up early to reserve a chair by the pool or the ocean or we would not have one for the day, we made reservations at the steak house but none of the employees new were it was after 1 hour of being taken to different areas of the resort we ended up insisting we eat at another spot .
