Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great resort
All staff members were excellent. The drinks were not watered down and they had expensive whiskeys. They made a lot of tasty drinks including mojitos, rum and coke, gin and tonic. There was less selection of food compared to my previous trips to Cuba. There was chicken every day and that was good. they also had the omlette station and pasta/stir fry stations. They ran out of bread after the first couple of days. There were no berries and most of the fruit was canned. The 24 hour snack bar h [... read more]
Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing small resort!
This resort is quiet, fun and most of all has the best staff!! And the best beach! If you are looking to relax and just have fun...this is the place to go. The rooms are older but clean, with working AC, and hot water. What keeps us going back? The friendly staff and just the best atmosphere! I would recommend this resort ?
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful resort
Our first visit, sure won't be our last. This resort is what luxury should be but well within reach of anyone's budget. The grounds are spotless, the pools lively and fun and the beach is absolutely amazing. Calm water clear as glass. We ate and drank under the loving care of the happy and helpful staff. It was our best vacation to Cuba to date.
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: A 3* at the most
The only 5* is the ground. Well kept and manicured. Entertainment was quite good too. 4* Food, although plentiful, was very repetitive. Bread was not available for at least the week I was there. I think the hotel could have bought some at a store? Some guests did exactly that. Squeaky and very old bed. You just sank in. Service is where I am confused. They look like they are still in high school. But you can see they have been trained. Let's hope for the future. I did meet some amazing pe [... read more]
Valentin Perla Blanca: Heaven on Earth
Spent an unforgettable week from March 18 -March 25 2025. Rooms were clean, food was plentiful, no shortages whatsoever. Could always find something good to eat. Drinks were cold, Cappuccinos were excellent, especially at the Lobby Bar. Beach may be the best yet, and we have been to Cuba 20 plus times! Most importantly, the staff were genuine, so very professional, and took great pride in everything they did. Only complaint would be the pillows weren’t great, but we always bring our own, so [... read more]

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Beautiful Resort
We had a wonderful week at Sirenis. We stayed in a junior suite in the main building. Our room was clean and spacious for the three of us. The staff, were all amazing. From the front desk, bell boys, housekeeping, bar and wait staff! They all made sure we had a great time. The food was really good! We ate at the Italian a la carte twice, and was great both times. You have to be at the lobby for 9am to book your a la cartes. The weather was nice, however lots of wind kept us out of the ocean most [... read more]

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing Beach!
This is a large resort, but well laid out. The lobby bar gets VERY busy and unfortunately if you want a drink, be prepared to WAIT. Evening entertainment was in the lobby bar, which made it even busier, no shows that we were aware of in another area. Dining/buffet area could have been set up in a more orderly manner, long wait lines to get to the "section" we wanted, had to wait through people selecting fish dishes/etc before we got to the meat and potato/pasta dishes. Rooms were clean, [... read more]
Sanctuary White Sands: Nice stay
Beautiful resort. Food was good for Cuba. Beach was gorgeous! There is a very big problem with beach chairs and shade areas. People save beach chairs very earlier in morning (430am). They may use them or not.....I hope the hotel can correct this problem.
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Worst Cuban trip ever
By the time we arrived at our resort, everything was closed and we had no other choice but to go to the 24 hour snack bar. Only to learn that it was hamburger or hotdogs and that there was no bread available. I requested some french fries and was told that they weren’t available either. I was so hungry they served me a hamburger patty smaller than a McDonald’s hamburger patty on a plate. there was nothing about it that was appetizing even as hungry as I was. Not to mention we ended up moving roo [... read more]
Sanctuary White Sands: Really nice resort
It's Cuba, we were expecting lack of food but was quit good !! Service amazing even with lack of personnal at the restaurants and bars. The butler in building 8 was amazing, she was going really above and beyound all of our requests (5*+++) Amazing beach, endless white sand !! Will be back with friends for sure. Thank you for the 2 beautiful weeks.
Memories Jibacoa: Amazing resort
Loved everything about this resort. We had a bad experience last year at a newer poorly managed one in cuba and happy we gave cuba another chance. It's smaller older and very quaint. We loved the old world charm and the setting and the grounds were stunning. Service, food staff were very good. Did not experience any shortages. Really easy to meet new people. Will definitely return
Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Okay resort
It was very quiet not many things to do and no entertainment. The pool was very nice and the lobby was welcoming. There is only one dining area, and there are lots of cats that like sit at your table and wait to be fed
Melia Las Americas: OK for golf but not much more.
The resort is next to the golf course and is very convenient. The resort itself is quite dated and could use an updating. Food selection ok but limited choices. ie - 1 choice for dessert. Beach is spacious with plenty of chairs and cabanas. Drink choices limited. One day on hand next day gone. Staff are all very friendly.
Sol Caribe Beach: Experience at Sol Caribe Varadero
The resort in pics and TikTok looks new but upon arrival it is dated and worn. The rooms are basic and in need of a repaint and new bedding. The shower didn't work so we had to use the handheld all week.
Paradisus Varadero: Three stars resort with beautiful grounds
The resort had beautiful grounds The trip in Cuba have lots of issues example no water, no hot water , running out of water while taking a shower but our outing with air Canada was awesome going to Matanza to the caves . Other outings was going to Varadero doing horse and buggy and taking a old convertible back to our resort The staff at the resort was ok sometimes they would forget things. We won’t be going to Cuba for a while until things get better The travel agent from trip central was [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A wonderful vacation
This was our second visit to Original Daiquiri and we loved it, the grounds are beautifully kept, the lobby bar, is a great social place to be, the bartenders there are the best and so are the bartenders at the pool bar. All the staff are wonderful, but the one thing we love is the beach, great for long walks. We have no complaints, hopefully we will be back next year.
Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Nice clean resort
We recently stayed for three nights at the Blau Arenal. It is a nice, clean family resort with good amenities. It is close enough to Havana so we were able to visit this terrific city. The staff were nice, and the people at the front desk let us know all bout our unique travel details, and kept us informed of time of transfers, etc...However, if you are looking for a resort with all the "bells and whistles" of a typical resort, this is not for you. There was no entertainment, only one bar, one r [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: as expected for cuba
If you travel you must know that having high expectations in Cuba is dreaming in colour. This resort is OK. Never had power outages but they did have many occasions of no hot water. Sometimes for an hour here and there but for some people it was no hot water for the entire week. The resort grounds are well kept but literally thousands of small broken things never getting fixed like door knobs, locks, light switches, flush handles, rain gutters hanging off buildings, trip hazards, green slime on [... read more]
