Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Awesome time

We stayed in the Adult Select section. This entitled us to many perks including ala carte breakfasts, lunches and adult only sections. We loved the jungle vibe of the resort including all the animals and the Eco activities. We enjoyed a romantic boat ride with Jesus who truly is a gem. This is the first time we were not ready to go home after a week and the first resort that we identified that we want to return to. Everyone was friendly from staff to other staying at the resort. Although we were clear that we were not interested we rec'd phone calls throughout the week reminding us about our welcome pkg which we never picked up. Great place for people who want a unique all inclusive vacation.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: good family resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandos Coracol eco Resort. There were many included activities : swimming in the cenote, tennis, biking, soccer, kayaking, snorkeling. .. much wildlife to be seen on resort: monkeys, iguanas, turtles, coaties, peacocks,parrots etc.... This resort did not seem over-crowded, we were usually able to find lounge chairs on the beach or by the pool. Service everywhere was fine, staff are friendly. Our room was good and clean and comfortable. Our room was in the elite section close to the beach and the main pool and had a great view from the balcony ,was worth the extra fee. The beach is not great, the bottom is rocky, though we knew that before going, we brought our beach shoes and made the most of it. We still had fun in the water. Great family resort, the kids loved it!

Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: above amazing

this hotel was amazing. It is a smaller resort which is just what we were looking for. we have stayed here many times and just love it. the staff is friendly and beyond helpful and kind. you become a small family and only meet friends. there is a quiet pool or a family pool, which ever your heart desires. Lots to do and the resturants have much to choose from, you will not be disappointed. Just sit back and relax on the beach and enjoy the view, which often includes dolphins and whales. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Los Cocos

Second time at Los Cocos. Love the staff, food is good, rooms fine all that. There are a few things that could be addressed that might improve the experience. 1. Enforce no smoking zones. 2. Fix La Bamba Restaurant sign up procedure. People line up to sign up for seating a then a certain group (won't mention which group) of people feel the line up means nothing and butt in to the front of the line and then call their friends up to do the same. With only one a la carte restaurant this means pe [... read more]ople who have waited get shut out because of those who have butted into line. 3. Move the wrecked boat that has been on the beach right in front of the beach club property in Los Ayala-EYESORE. 4. Improve wifi. Not the end of the world but it wouldn't take much to improve it.

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Better Each Time

This was our 4th visit to Sunset Plaza. The 2 of us stayed from Feb 20 - 27th. It truly was like 'coming back home'. Javier met us at the front door with smiles, calling us by name and welcoming us back. I hope the Resort owners really understand that the Sunset is so popular due in a large part because of the staff. If you want a party resort or a place for kids to have a big pool with slides etc, this isn't the resort for you. Although I didn't have any children with me, I did see the activity director and staff conducting lots of fun activities for the young kids around the resort. The pools are both heated, service around the pool was spot on, all our meals were wonderful. Sure, sometimes it wasn't exactly as ordered but.....you're on vacation. The staff try so hard to please you and will do anything to make it right. Take the time to talk to the staff, learn about their lives, education, families. You will be surprised at the diverse group working at Sunset. The entertainment at dinner the 3 times a week is far above the usual resort entertainment you're use to. The refurbishment to the hot tub area are lovely and the sitting areas make for the perfect sunset sitting spot. Our room was cleaned spotless everyday as well as the fridge refilled. If there was something extra you wanted, just leave a note. I really have nothing negative to say. Maybe the fact the beach in front of the resort isn't the best for swimming, but a short walk and it's no longer a problem. If you're looking for a smaller resort, amazing staff, wonderful food, breathtaking views from all rooms, warm pools and a spa with a wide range of services - Try The Sunset Plaza, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Nice Resort

Just opened in Dec. 2016. Very clean and new. The gardens were all still young but I think once they start growing they will be very pretty. Big, clean rooms. Loved the basket swing on the deck. Large bathroom with a separate shower/jet tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We found that at the lobby bar it was understaffed and you had to wait quite a while for their attention. They also didn't take reservations for the speciality restaurants it was a first come first serve basi [... read more]s which made the wait very long. We waited 20 minutes to get our buzzer then had to wait another 30 to have ours sound to tell us we would be seated. All kinks that I'm sure will be worked out over time. The resort was close to 5th Avenue (which I loved). We had a fantastic week of weather and relaxation. Very nice spot and I would go back.

Allegro Cozumel: Compact Family Friendly Resort

Loved the Caribbean feel of this easy-to-navigate resort with grass roof, hammocks on every balcony, and lush landscaping. Rooms were modern, but a bit too small for a family of four. Enjoyed the view of the ocean from the pool and hot tub closest to the beach. The kids' water park-like pool was quite entertaining for the children, and the other pools were simple but clean. The food was also simple but tasty and the drinks were great. I liked that there was drink service on the beac [... read more]h and around the pool, but found the chair side service inconsistent. Often there were long lines for drinks at the beach bar and at the restaurants. The bartenders tried to go as fast as possible, which was nice to see and made one appreciate the effort. "Cozumel Time" is faster than the traditional "Island Time" I've experienced elsewhere. There was only one restaurant open for the entire resort for each meal, except for dinner if you manage to book an a la carte at a decent hour. The sports bar upstairs takes the place of the traditional lobby bar and didn't offer any entertainment. I didn't like having to wait more than 1/2h just to get a table at a self serve buffet. And even then I would have to ask for coffee service, or for a coffee cup so I could serve myself. Nonetheless, the good far outweighs the bad at this resort. I would go again tomorrow, eat salsa and guac, and drink margaritas all week long.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Awesome resort!

The Hotel, staff, property, everything was excellent. The beach was a little Rocky but about a five minute walk down was nicer. There was a lot of wild life & plenty to do. My only problem was that a week wasn't enough time!

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Amazing

First resort I have stayed at where the food was actually good ! So impressed that we bought a vacation membership to Karisma resorts. Pool just off our terrace, lounge bed on the terrace, 24 hour room service...hardly needed to leave our room!

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: We just loved our trip to the Finest Playa Mujeres

We had the perfect vacation! Enjoyed every aspect of the resort: beach, pools, food, drinks, kids club but mostly fascinated with the Mexican customer service. Special mention to Carlos and Luis, servers from the pools area, Oliver a super nice and friendly bartender, Paulina from The Sweet Corner, the people from the restaurant Legends, Emmanuel from the Kids Club but in GENERAL all the people there who were so nice and polite with us and our kids! THANK YOU. Coming back for sure!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: BLUE BAY GRAND ESMERALDA

We just love this resort. Thais is our second time there and it did not disapoint. The grounds were well kept ,the pool area clean ,the ocean front had some sea weed on the shore,a little more than it did the year before,but no biggy. Now the food ; what can I say but Yum. Variety shows,entertainment galore. The room I wish would have been on the back side of my part and not the front where the sidewalk is because is was a lot noisier than the the other side of the hallway. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Thumbs up !!!!

Our stay at the resort was amazing other than the elevator breaking on our first day we arrived ( taking the stairs everyday 4 flights really kept us in shape ) The rooms were very clean - I would have liked to have a tub for a nice soak after a long day in the sun but the walk in shower was a nice touch. The balcony had a wonderful view allowing us to take in the beauty of Mexico and the wildlife. The beach had soft sand and getting past the small rocks when entering the water was a small price to pay for an excellent dip in the ocean. The resorts grounds were taken care of very well and the staff were very friendly.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Amazing Resort

This is our second visit to this resort and they did not disappoint. There is honestly nothing bad I can say about it. From the food to the room to the pool everything was top notch. Our room was huge with the big Jacuzzi tub in it. All the food including room service and buffet was delicious and no lines to wait in to make reservations for restaurants. Grand Oasis Sens: Very nice resort with a few service issues

The beach was amazing. The pools were nice and well maintained, rooms were nice but could use a bit of updating and maintenance. The staff was friendly for the most part, however bars closed early for an adults only resort and the check-in/out process was very slow and painful. Small detail and not as important, but I've been to 3 star resorts that had pool side service, unfortunately that did not happen at this resort

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful Resort!

Resort was beautiful and very well maintained. Food was excellent, rooms were very clean and staff were always available if we had questions. The only small negative we have is that most evening activities were targeted for families and less for adults wishing to enjoy a drink while listening to music.... We would definitely recommend the resort to families!

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Paradise at Paradisus La Perla

I still recall sitting down with our travel agent, Tanya V, and hearing about all of the wonderful things Paradisus La Perla has to offer. After seeing and experiencing the resort first hand, I am 100% positive we made the right choice (with her help!). Check in: We were greeted upon arrival with a cool towel, a purple drink, an intoxicating aroma as well as stunning decor. Our room was not ready (they had overbooked) and we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite without any extra charges. They [... read more] pushed two queen beds together to make it one of the biggest, most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in (I'm used to sleeping with a 100lbs bulldog and a 6'4 boyfriend, both who hog the bed and snore, so I was more than pleased.) Room: Modern, stylish, and clean as could be. We had living room area, a jacuzzi tub on the balcony, and a little kitchenette. Air conditioner worked great and again, incredibly comfortable beds/pillows. (There is a pillow menu!) Resort: Breathtakingly beautiful and well maintained. There is peaceful soft music playing while you walk through, taking in the tranquil ponds with coyfish, turtles, plant life, and art sculptures. They also have one of the nicest gyms I've ever witnessed. Honestly, the staff there have thought of everything to provide the best service you could possibly want, always with a smile on their face and happy to help. Food: Incredible. I left 6lbs heavier. Room Service around the clock. My favs were: Vento, Oilo, and The Grill. The fish tacos at the Pool side restaurant were so, so yummy. And the I'm already missing my after dessert, dessert: the scoop of gelato ice cream I would get on the family side buffet. Beach and Pool: The beach was very nice. Again, the staff work so hard to maintain the property (the beach has some seaweed that requires daily removal). The beach servers, Ricardo and Freddy, were so very attentive, personal, and kept the drinks coming! The main adult pool is more of a party atmosphere and great for people watching/relaxing in a pool side cabana. What I would have changed: I wish I would have been more firm with the person who was encouraging me to attend the hour long presentation (timeshare kind of thing) as I felt like she was intensionally trying to make me feel bad for saying no and kind of taking away from the excitement of just arriving at the resort. Our Nexus Tour guide accidentally wrote the wrong resort entrance on our excursion receipt. So we had gone to bed early the night prior and waited at our resort entrance at the designated time, only to be left behind! The tour bus waited at La Esmeralda (family side), while we waited at La Perla, one "gran problema." I then waited in the lounge of La Esmeralda for an hour and a half for the Nexus Tour person to arrive in order to be refunded the money. Although this person was scheduled to arrive at 9am, it wasn't until someone from guest services assisted us by calling Nexus Tours. The person would not issue a refund over the phone and were trying to push back a bit by attempting to say that we weren't in the lobby at the right time. After some serious back and forth, which was incredibly unprofessional and not accommodating whatsoever, the Nexus employee on the phone advised that a representative would be in at 4pm to assist us. Merisol was fast, efficient, and provided us with a refund within minutes of her prompt arrival at 4pm. We really appreciated that the agency called to follow up twice in order to apologize for the mix up, however, the bottom line was that it was precious time wasted waiting around. We are still awaiting the agency to process the refund (they advised it would be back on the card in the next 3 weeks) and indicated the intension of sending us a voucher for the mix up. In the end, I didn't get to see Tulum, however, we definitely made the best of our last day and this should not be a poor reflection of the hotel in any way. Looking back at our week in paradise, these are the only two things I would have changed. La Perla's atmosphere, staff, service, and overall experience was over the top extraordinary. Don't wait another moment or look at any other resort option, La Perla is the place to go. Special shout out to Venancio of Guest Services who went above and beyond to ensure our last day, despite the tour disappointment, was really special.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great resort!

The resort was very well maintained. Our room was very clean. We were very impressed and enjoyed our stay. Overall, the food was very good and the only change I would recommend is changing out the food choices in the beach grills more frequently.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Barcelo is amazing...We'll Be Back!!!

This was our second trip to Barcelo Maya Palace...We have been spoiled!!! - The rooms were spotless and grounds were meticulously maintained - Resort staff were always friendly and helpful - The beach was amazing as were the pools - The bars were always close by with extensive drink selections - The buffets served amazing meals at breakfast and lunch with wide selection of choices - The a la carte restaurants for dinner were simply the very best Trip Central staff made the booking smoot [... read more]h and efficient AIr Transat and ground transportation were excellent

Dreams Huatulco: Dreams was beyond our expectations!

From the moment we entered the resort our holiday was destined to be the "best one ever"! Our flight was 3 hours late from Victoria, BC and when we arrived in the evening we were greeted with a welcoming beverage and check-in was quick and efficient. We had a great dinner at the World Café, then explored the resort.. I loved the pool volleyball, water aerobics, morning yoga and wild "Zumba"! I'm a swimmer, so the infinity pools so close to the ocean were absolutely a dream come true.....imagine swimming your lengths while watching the sun rise and listening to the ocean breaking on the sand...pinch me....I must be dreaming:) We had the best of both worlds at Dreams; pool for those who don't care for swimming in the salt water and the ocean for those that do... Lots of loungers to spend the lazy days; either on the beach or at the pool. Our weather was clear skies everyday except the last day which was cloudy; still warm though A special thankyou to Misael Boutista Lopez, our beach server, who looked after us so well we named a new drink....."Misael Sunset" after him.....Tequila shot, orange slice and lime slice squeezed in a highball glass The Rendevous Lounge is where our server Edie Acxel Martinez Cruz looked after us so well.
