Occidental Tucancun: Amazing Stay!

This was our first time staying at the Occidental Tucancun. I travelled with my boyfriend looking to have a relaxing vacation and we had just that! We arrived at the resort around 11pm our first evening. We met the lovely Nelly, the cocktail waitress that evening. I suggest getting the mango margarita! They are unbelievable! One great thing is th [... read more]at you dont have to wake up at 6am to get a spot! And there are always chairs on the beach available. If you do want a shaded spot by the adult pool however you do need to get there early they are almost all shaded and get scooped up quickly! The Mexican restaurant was our favourite by far. But all of the a la cartes were quite good. The food all around is very good. Omlettes in the morning were fantastic. Our rooms were spacious and the beds firm but comfy. If you can get the chance to request an ocean view I would, our room was facing the back of the mall across the street, however if you looked out the window while laying down you still saw beautiful water. Every employee we met greeted us with a smile and were very helpful. The only thing I would have to say that I felt was a negative possibly for some was that wifi was $12USD per day. We opted against it but we were okay going without our phones for the week. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in Mexico!

Grand Sunset Princess: Excellent resort. Amazing

Everything was excellent, very clean rooms, we had a nice view to the pool. I highly recommend this resort, many a la carte restaurants, buffet excellent. Staff very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our vacation

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

The resort itself was breath taking, food was amazing. The entertainment was good and had lots of variety. Only this that wasn't great was long wait times for restaurants. And there was a lot of little babies.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Always great to return to Barcelona!

Lovely grounds, beautiful pools and stunning beach. It never feels busy, and the service is great. Lots of food options, all good, and they now offer more a la carte reservations. We've been back five times and can't seem to settle for anywhere else. The location is great for trips to Tulum, Akumal and Playa del Carmen. We will be back again.

Riu Santa Fe: Mixed feelings

Clean. Friendly warm staff for the most part. Not recommended for a Celiac. Food just ok. No cocktails at the restaurants. Beautiful beach. No wifi in rooms. Rooms are nice. No drinks served to you at the pool. Pools are lovely, warm. Ran out of toilet paper and soap in the room. No extras like little lotions or mouth wash. Towels are hard. Beds are comfortable.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Great staff

We were very happy with our stay. There were a couple minor things like being told we had a king bed but found it was two beds pushed together. We didn't get a fridge in our room either. Those were our only complaints and they are pretty minor. Beach was awesome, food was great and the staff were fantastic. We would definitely come back! The location was a huge bonus as well, within walking distance of lots of shopping and resturants.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing!

Loved that I paid for one and had access to all the other resorts except palace unless we wanted to pay a little bit. I loved the variety of the buffet and all staff were very friendly. I didn't want to leave. Will recommend and come back again!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Amazing!!!

The staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The food was great! Our room was clean. The entertainment was entertaining. We enjoyed the different themes each night. We had a great time! Would love to come back!

El Dorado Royale: Very good resort

Well maintained resort with good restaurants and well trained and attentive staff. Room was nice but the bathroom being open to the rest of the room was rather odd. We would be happy to return to this resort.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Great Resort

The layout of the resort was good, just enough walking to burn off calories gained during the week. The amenities, room cleanliness, staff friendliness was excellent. The only negative was service during the nightly dinners. There were quite a few corporate events during the week that we were there, which took away some staff. That combined with shutting down one of the restaurants each night, limited the remaining restaurants that guests could go to eat. This created a backlog of seating [... read more] availability at the remaining open restaurants. Although the food was okay, service was very slow due to being under staffed. I will say that that the staff that were working those limited restaurants were pleasant & helpful.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice Resort

The resort was very clean and the rooms were comfortable. The food was decent - you won't go hungry, but the buffet isn't as expansive as some other resorts. Having to pay for the use of the safe and wifi in 2017 is pretty ridiculous. There were no timeshare sellers, which is so nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was a mixed bag - some nights great and other nights less so. The resort could do a better job of posting daily activities, buffet theme for  [... read more]the week, etc. There was opportunity to engage guests more. For example, we were there during the Oscars - an Oscars viewing party would've been really easy to throw together. The check in process is really SLOW. The location is great. A short cab or 30 minute walk into the centre of the city. The beach is beautiful. No swimming, but there is a swimmable beach within walking distance - again, information the hotel could've provided. It was good value for money. We didn't pay a lot, so we can't expect the world.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Pleasantly suprised

We had seen the outside of this hotel many years before and I wasn't sure how good it would be. Although it is somewhat dated , it was clean and they have tried to keep it up. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was okay and we could always find something that we liked to eat. The security staff were very good at keeping children out of the adult pool only once or twice did a family miss the sign and enter the pool and shortly after the security would come and tell them to  [... read more]go to the activity/children's pool. Nightly entertainment was very good for a smaller hotel For a three star hotel we found it to be quite good.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Adult trip to Ocean Riviera Paradise

We traveled to ORP with a group of adults for a parent's get a way. All of us have traveled to the area in the past and were looking forward to returning. We had a great week with no major problems. Rooms are beautiful and beds are super comfortable. Loved the water pressure in the shower and we had no problem with housekeeping, everything looked great. Drinks were always available at the bar or from the waitresses around the pool, only had a wait time during the peak of the afternoon enter [... read more]tainment. Buffet at breakfast was fantastic. Found it a little strange that we would have to wait to be seated at the buffet, occasionally causing a line up, but that seemed to improve over the week. Not having reservations at the a la cart's caused a lot of waiting, some nights we weren't seated until 10pm. But overall the food was great. As it's a brand new resort you can tell that they are still working out some kinks, but it wouldn't cause me to not recommend to someone else. You could see that most staff were doing everything they could to make things go smoothly.

Sandos Cancun: Stunning

A perfect example of a smaller Luxury Resort. I continue to read a few negative reviews about this resort, I am not sure what could possibly make those people happy. This is an adult orientated resort, you can take kids but there is no entertainment provided for them. Average age of people staying here I would say is 30-60. Check in was quick, rooms are beautiful and bathrooms have a tub and shower. Standard rooms do not have a balcony but the windows open right up. Mini Bar is stocked with 3 ki [... read more]nds of Beer a selection of pop, water and chocolate. Snacks are also provided Pringles and Nuts and all are restocked everyday. Wine can be ordered through Room Service and is brought up quickly to the room. Food is exceptional from the Breakfast Buffet, Lunch at St Trops overlooking the Ocean and then Supper any place you choose. You only need to make reservations at the Japanese restaurant, which is fantastic, we went twice. The Steakhouse was the only time we waited for a table and it was less than 15 minutes. Resort does not feel over crowded even when completely full. Pools are very pretty in the Sun but as you will read on every review the sun disappears quickly behind the monstrous hotel built right next door. No problem just move down to the beach. We would spend our morning on the beach, move up up the pool and back to the beach when the sun disappeared. Cancun is windy and the water always has plenty of waves to play in. There is no swim up bar, but 2 bars are located either side of the lower pool and staff come by frequently to refresh your drinks. Being a smaller resort helps you become friends with members of staff as well as other guests. Guests come from Brazil, Argentina, USA and Canada to name a few. Entertainment is provided every afternoon around the pool and every evening at one of the bars. These are acts brought in from outside not members of staff. Volleyball on the beach and in the pool daily along with aqua gym and trivia games in the afternoon. A very nice place to spend a week in paradise. This is not a cheap resort but you can still look out for great deals. Well worth the time and effort

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort!

Great food, however, the a la carts would be less frustrating if you could make a reservation. Sometimes the wait was over an hour to get in. The grounds were nice but not kept as clean as I've seen other resorts. The same with the adult pool. The water was cloudy and not nearly as clear as it should have been. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the resort. It's a new resort so hopefully it continues to improve.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort

The resort was very well maintained, the grounds were amazing. Very scenic area and close to many things to do. The beach area is used very little. Service was very good, especially waiter service around the pool area. The food is average, not as good as other Secret Resorts.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great time

It is a great resort, the people were very friendly and the grounds beautiful. We would go there again and highly recommend it. The only complaint is that for a few days there were too many people there, too many kids screaming and people running and screaming in the halls at night.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great resort!

Food is very good quality, always fresh with great variety. Friendly, fast, professional service. Beautiful grounds! Very clean, very well maintained! Live music and great shows at night. We like a lot entertainment team!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very Comfortable Resort

Excellent location.Easy access to the town centre.Grounds were very well kept.Staff were very courteous and helpful.Cusine provided lots of choices and variety Rooms need to be upgraded,have wireless internet and provide a safe without extra charge

Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Fabulous resort right in the marina in Los Cabos!

The staff are so amazing. Special thanks to Andres for being the best bartender ever for us at the pool. Everyone is kind and always smiling and so helpful. The resort is in an amazing location, right in the marina, on the water, about a 5 minute walk to the beach. We did the all inclusive package for a week which allowed us to eat and drink at 5 different restaurants, all on the strip, right on the marina, right next to the hotel.
