The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Wonderful vacation!!
This resort was amazing. Everyone from the staff were so nice. They always wanted to make sure you were happy. The view, no matter where you were was spectacular. I cannot wait to return to Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa!!
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Wonderful week
This was a very good resort with lovely grounds, large clean rooms and great pool and private beach area. Food was good and lots of choice at the buffets, although the service staff at the breakfast buffet were not as attentive as we would have expected. Al a carte was also very good.
Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Beautiful resort, bad front desk
Perfect food, nice beach, good rooms but far from shopping area, plus most of the peole in the hotel speaks only spanish , so if u know spanish it will be an amazing option. If not u will suffer in ordering something.
Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing Place...would go back in a heart beat
Beautiful Place having everything you could ever need. Most amazing beach with lots of beach chairs and pool chairs. many a la cartes to choose from. Steak house was great. The golf course was beautiful and was included although the carts are pricey...par for the course in the islands. Super close the airport was an added benefit.
Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Don't Waste Your Money
Beach Resort by Farranda was absolutely terrible... The hotel itself was very dated, staff was rude, not helpful at all...You bring your own bags to your room regardless as to what room or block you are in. The food is awful.... If you can guess what is you will be fortunate if it doesn't grow legs and walk away... All the meat sat in blood.... Do yourself a favour... Spend more money and avoid this place, I have no idea how they stay open... After 1 night I was beyond grateful to get out and sw [... read more]
Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Great place to relax
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa Marina Reef and Beach Resort. We liked that we had the best of both worlds literally at our doorstep. If you wanted to mingle with the local people all you had to do is walk out of the entrance to the resort and there was the exciting town of Sousoua. If you wanted to relax, the Jacuzzis were waiting for you inside the resort. Casa Marina has a beach side and a reef side. You can relax in the sun at the beach or choose the shade on the ree [... read more]
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great place, on the quite side and isolated.
The resort is very isolated so if you're looking for adventure away from it, then you should probably look elsewhere. The nearest town is a $25 US cab ride (one way) and we were told that there really isn't much there anyway. The place is spotless, rooms are great and overall, an excellent place. Pretty much everything shuts down at 11pm with the exception of the small disco and casino which is a short walk from the main lobby. My only complaint would be the biting bugs. They are so small that y [... read more]
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Awesome Resort !
We had a wonderful room housekeeping was great . We ate mainly at the buffet ! The buffet has changed a little but still good less opinions So has the gourmet restaurant not as good as it was the steak at the grill was awesome! Marc was an amazing young man that works at the beach and around the pool !
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Pretty darn good!
Excellent staff, grounds, rooms, etc. There is still some growing pains with water pressure, WiFi and some food but not enough to rate it anything less. It is definitely for romantic couples looking for a relaxing getaway as it is very quiet. If you'd like some more action, it is a short walk to La Romana side where there is a younger more active crowd.
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful resort!
The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Good variety of food, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beach was amazing - clear water with coral right off the beach for snorkelling. Great resort for kids - kids buffet section, kids club and games. We'll definitely be going back!
Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Not-So-Good to Great!
Upon arrival with my wife and I, and my Mom and her boyfriend, we were placed on opposite sides of the complex. We took our concerns to the front desk and spoke with the Manager and, although appearing reluctant, he put us in the same building in an upgraded room. There was no hot water in the room, no TV and no phone. We notified the front desk again, and with some pushing, had the TV and phone fixed and working. The hot water was eventually adjusted and was goo for the week. Bavaro complex wa [... read more]
Grand Bavaro Princess: Good Times
Recently stayed at the Bavaro Princess and had a great time. The resort itself is beautifully kept from lobby to beach. The staff are great. Always a smile and always more than willing to help you out. The food was okay. Had some good meals but, most of it tasted bland after a few days. The rooms are nice and well kept. The water pressure for the in room jacuzzi is pretty funny. The beach is beautiful and very well kept. One of the bigger sections on that beach for sure. Always lots of chairs an [... read more]
Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Beautiful resort and beach.
The beach at this resort is phenomenal, beautiful water and soft sand everywhere, also plenty of room to lay in the sun without being crowded. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly! The only small complaint was the food wasn't the best, and the a la carts were a little underwhelming. That being said the food was most certainly very edible and plentiful.
IFA Bavaro Village: vacation still good
The pools were beautiful and food was very good. We had issues with the rooms one of our boys had a leak in their room and it took some doing to get it changed. The beds were hard-like the flintstones. not kidding. House keeping didn't leave fresh towels for us. We made the best of it and had a great vacation. There are areas that aren't quite finished. If you are interested in local shopping that is definitely close by. There definitely was a communication barrier with the hotel staff.
Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Resort
The resort was well laid out with all buildings forming a U shape around the pools and grounds. Very easy to navigate. The lobby is at the front of the resort with the Ala carte restaurants all located off the lobby. There are two (2) pools back to back. As the room buildings are on either side of the pools it can be quite noisy but not annoying. The food was quite good with the exception of the American Route 66 restaurant which was horrible. There are 2 main buffet restaurants. We only ate din [... read more]
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great resort
We stayed for a week in January 12-19, 2016. Premises are very well maintained. Clean and quiet room and delicious food at restaurants. Grilled salmon at a-la-carte restaurant is fantastic! Beach is nice, but be careful entering the water, as rocks are everywhere. Please have a pair of swimming shoes. Also you may wish to bring one US dollar bills for tips, as the smallest Dominican Peso banknote at Reception exchange is 100DOP, equals $2.1 US. Nice and friendly staff makes you feel great. Many [... read more]

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort for the price!
Good rooms - slightly outdated decor, but everything you need, good food - general buffet has lots of options + a la carte restaurants are amazing, great service - this is what sets the resort apart, ask and you shall receive!
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Awesome time at this resort!
The resort was great. Food was really good and all walkways were scrubbed clean every morning. Staff were terrific and would do anything for us. The only bad thing were the sand fleas everywhere and our insect repellent did not repel them. Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone who wishes to go.
