Riu Reggae: Really Nice Resort!

Staying at this Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. It is more of a party resort which is what we were going for. It was smaller than i expected it to be but i enjoyed the space.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Beautiful Resort

The resort was beautiful, clean and the grounds are well maintained. Very pleasant staff. One of our challenges however was finding our way around the resort. The were no welcome maps being a first time visitor to show us what the resort had to offer, what our package included or where we could find the restaurants for example (since the resort is going green). They had the large billboards throughout the resort however when asked, there were no clear directions on the amenities available to u [... read more]s or how to find it. It wasn't until day 3 that we finally found the Bahia village where shops and evening entertainment were hosted (and only because we have stayed at other Bahia properties in the past). Not a big deal but I would suggest that the front desk should provide a welcome package upon checking in for first time guests to the resort so they can enjoy all the festivities this beautiful resort has to offer.. Overall a great vacation and we look forward to returning one day soon :)

Riu Reggae: Great Hotel

We were very pleased overall with this hotel, very clean starting with the rooms, dining rooms, there was always staff cleaning windows the grounds etc.., the one great thing was that we did not have to get up early in the morning to get a chair on the beach as there was more than enough for everyone around the pool & beach .All the staff from reception, the bars, dining room, entertainment,housekeeping were always very friendly and pleasant each an everyone were very accommodating to make our  [... read more]stay pleasant. The food was amazing with a different theme every night and plenty of choices. The rooms were airy and very clean with a nice patio with chairs and dryer. The only thing was the time of check in it is 3 p.m. which they could not give our room until after but it was worth the wait ...suggestion get an later flight...people complain of the noise from airplanes taking off as it is close to end of the runway , but it is only 10 minutes from the airport, the noise only last for 5 to 10 seconds and it is not all the time...we would suggest this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to waste time traveling to and from the airport ...

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Outstanding!

Great place for a fantastic getaway with your spouse or your whole family. Us adults went this time as our children are now adults but we very much noticed such an amazing and a large area for kids. If we were to travel with kids this would definitely be where we would go. Very well laid out, well kept, so much to do for all ages. Great food, friendly and helpful staff. We found that on out of country vacations, ketchup has been hard to come by as is peanut butter. May sound Petty but as a Canadian these are Staples, not to mention kids favourites. Nutella, peanut butter and ketchup. Very very impressive! We will definitely be back

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Best vacation ever!!

This hotel was a gem! Beautiful to say the very least. Well maintained, very accommodating, fantastic variety and quality of food and so much to keep you busy around the resort itself. The people that work there just make the whole experience superb! We had a tiny mishap and it was corrected immediately, nothing serious. Very impressed and will absolutely be back again. Highly recommend these folks and their fabulous establishment!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very nice resort for families!

We had a splendid time with our 2 and 3 year olds with lots of activities to do in the resort. Clean rooms, very good food with lots of choices, nice and age-appropriate aquapark, clean and private beaches with plenty of room and available seats. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Relaxing vacation

Hotel rooms is big and the bed is the best for a great night sleep. This was our third time at this resort and always have a great relaxing time. Buffet has lots of variety to choose from but at times alot of the food was just warm. The a la carts were very good. We eat at the knife which just opened om Christmas day and the service and food was excellent. The Brazilian wasn't the best quality on meats like you would be in canada. Some of the men bartenders can be rude to the ones that they haven't served all week and over look you Ladies talking car of the pool people are so out going and loving and are always smiling and treating you like family. Overall it was a great place to go and relax or even party if you want. Afternoon by the pool always had something going on if that's what you are in to. Nightly entertainment was also very good

Sunset at the Palms: First visit but not the last

The grounds are well maintained all of the staff are friendly Food is top notch with lots of choices Rooms and balconies are comfortable and relaxing I’m a early riser but was so relaxed by the fourth morning that I found myself sleeping in The food on the beach was also great

Riu Negril: I love Negril!

Between finding my perfect little spot on the beach and eating authentic Jamaican cuisine - I spent a week in heaven. Riu Negril is a beautiful place to spend a week away from the Canadian cold weather.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Amazing Resort!

Loved almost everything about this resort. The quaint property. Not too big. Not too small. The friendly staff. The not so over the top decor. Everything you needed. I would go again and certainly recommend.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Disappointing

Heard so many positive things about this hotel before we got there. We were disappointed as it has obviously gone down hill and showing it’s age. I wouldn’t say it’s a five star. Maybe 4 1/2. Usually at a five-star hotel there is staff to greet you when you arrive. You feel welcome. That didn’t happen. I did not find the staff to be friendly with the exception of one bartender, and one young lady handing out beach towels. Most appeared disinterested. It appeared to be a bit dirty an [... read more]d dark in some of the hallways and there was a musty smell in hallways and room. Spraying a scent to mask it doesn’t solve the problem. The food was good nothing memorable. The Butler was a nice touch. Room was nice except for the smell. They need to air them out in between bookings and while cleaning. Furniture on the balcony not conducive to conversation. The swing faces out and the couch faces towards the swing. My biggest issue was no hand held in shower just rain head. If you use the hand held in the bathtub water sprays all over. The friend I travelled with had been to the Iberostar in Mexico last year and loved it. This hotel needs an update and staff with enthusiasm. I would not recommend this hotel as there are too many resorts that I’ve been to that are better.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort

Hotel was very nice, but some restaurants were under renovation and were not able to eat there. Staff very friendly. Everything purchased was on the expensive side. It was clean, and the service from staff was very good.

Moon Palace Jamaica: Best family resort

Stayed here with my family of six, we all had the best vacation ever! So much to do for all ages. The location was awesome for our little Boys! They loved all the activities and the kids club. We would return again for sure!

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Awesome food and drinks!

Modest accommodations, great food and drinks, friendly staff all made for a top vacation! perfect for drinkers - but not too spring breaky! awesome relaxed crowd. entertainment was so fun, 3 small beaches feel very private.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing resort

Very beautiful hotel clean friendly food was amazing one concern we had it was very very damp wet in our rooms all our clothes are wet bedding was wet the Floors were soaking wet we got back home in we ended up very sick from all the dampness but other than that beautiful beautiful hotel

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: IRHS fantastic resort.

Not a single issue. Rooms outdated but spacious. Beds uncomfortable yet sleep worthy. Rooms cleaned twice a day - nice touch. Drinks, food, service, Iberstar workers 5 star. Beautiful gardens, pools and beach.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Wonderful resort

Loved this resort ! Staff was amazing , food great , very clean . Ocean view room was big with a huge balcony . Lots of chairs on the beach and by the pools . Would definitely return! Thank you Jairus Maus for another wonderful recommendation !!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not Luxury

For the cost I wouldn’t rate this resort very high, rooms are okay our roof leaked causing me to slip and fall our shower also leaked into the bathroom so floor was always wet. Rooms were damp, beware of “ocean view” we had a sliver of oven view and a whole lot of the vacant lot next door used for dumping garbage. There is no snack bar or ordering food at pool you always have to get dressed and go to a buffet which is only open certain times. Lobby is far away from everything and annoying  [... read more]to get to, A La Cartes were all booked the only times we could get were 9:30pm and then we had uncooked food. Overall wouldn’t rate this resort as “luxury” mediocre food and drinks. Staff is pushy for tips and if you don’t you don’t get service.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

January 2020 - been there 2x and never disappointed... staff and food are excellent not to mention all the beautiful pools... the weather was not a 100% very very windy so unfortunately could not enjoy the beach with the strong waves and sand blowing... but that is something out of everyones control!
