Secrets Royal Beach: Nice resort

This resort is pretty well laid out. The rooms were nice, I was preferred so I’m not sure if all The rooms are the same. The staff at this resort are top notch, the staff at the preferred bar are amazing. The only place were the resort let me down was some of the food. The Bluewater Grill and Olio was the best. I would return to this resort.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Horrible Service

I don't know where to begin. To much to write anout.We were 2 couples in our 60s. Paid extra for balcony rooms, could have touched the balcony across from us, no privacy, near the pool so it was loud. No face cloths, 2 bath towels are all you get for 2 people so drying your hair and wrapping it isn't an option. 1 hand towel. Not enough chairs or umbrellas around the pool. Food was 3 star at best. Although A la cartes were good with excellent staff. We never received good service for our concerns [... read more], made us feel like we were a pain in the butt. We changed resorts after our 1st week. Went to Marien and were upgraded to VIP. That resort made up for Viva, we enjoyed our 2nd week there.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Bahia Principe Aquamarine stay - Amazing experience

The resort was great, nice and clean. Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool areas were great, only comment(s) would be more chair and more shade. Customer Service was great at both lobbies. Customer Service was great at all restaurants - A la Carte, buffer and Snack Bar. The food was excellent every where we went. Customer Service was great at all bars - Lobby and Pool

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Great Resort!

Absolutely 100% recommend. This hotel surpassed all of our expectations. Pool side service was amazing, rooms were very clean, restaurants and buffet all had great food. We stayed at the Preferred Club and also highly recommend this upgrade - very much worth it! The following staff went over and above - Moises & Geisy (Preferred Club Pool), Nairoby & Mariela (Preferred Club Bar). Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Beautiful Resot

The grounds of this resort were beautiful and very clean . The resort staff worked very hard at keeping the grounds clean and well maintained. If we had an issue or request for something the staff would accommodate us quickly and efficiently. The buffet always had a great selection of food to eat .

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful Resort

Visited the Luxury Ambar May 3, 2025 to May 10, 2025. Had a group of 13 for 50th birthday celebrations and had a corner swim up. We had an absolute blast. The staff was amazing and went well over my expectations with their service. We were luck to get a room dead center of the resort and had very short walks to the pool/beach area and to the lobby. For what we needed and wanted this resort came through and created fantastic memories. We will be coming back again!! 10 of 10 in my books.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Disappointing Stay at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana – Not Worth the Cost

I stayed at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana for 7 nights and unfortunately, this resort did not meet the standards expected from a Hyatt-affiliated property. We were “upgraded” to the Adults Only section, only to be told upon arrival that children are now allowed there — something not reflected on the website. Had I booked directly, I would have paid a premium for inaccurate information. We accepted the upgrade because of promised perks like a private pool and better proximity to amenities. The fire alarm in Building #1 went off multiple times every single day from Sunday to Thursday — often as early as 5 AM or late into the evening. Staff told us it was a false alarm caused by someone possibly vaping or smoking, but it continued for days with no resolution. This created not only constant disruption but a serious safety concern — what if there had been a real emergency? The air conditioning in our room barely worked, and the fixed shower head had very low pressure (luckily the handheld one was better). For a resort at this price point, these basic amenities should not be an issue. Many à la carte restaurants were closed (low season), yet no effort was made to adjust the dining experience. Even the disco required you to pay for drinks, and drinks from other bars weren’t allowed. Isn’t this supposed to be an “all-inclusive” resort? The buffet food was mediocre at best, aside from the fresh bread and egg station at breakfast. The beach, shown beautifully in photos online, was completely covered in seaweed and not being maintained. I understand this can be seasonal, but I also expect a resort to make an effort to keep it usable. There were some positives — the resort is visually stunning, the spa is excellent, and the coffee huts are a great touch. I also appreciated the kindness of a staff member from the medical team who gave helpful advice without pressuring us into a paid consultation. That said, I would not return to this resort — even if it were free. I overheard several other guests echoing similar frustrations, and it’s clear the quality has declined. This is not a 4-star resort; it barely earns 3 stars based on our experience. I am sharing this review because guests deserve better — especially when paying a premium for what should be a relaxing, seamless experience.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Updated resort, but!

Nice resort. A resort that has been updated in many ways. They are still working on updating some things. The rooms in some buildings are musty and don't have AC working Lots of DR music and cultural parts on the theatre (that's outdoors) but no other entertainment in the evenings. No Libby bar but a sports bar (noisy) in area close to lobby. No English channels on TV in room except for CNN.

Playabachata Hotel: Very nice spot

Playabachata is a very clean resort. The food was great. On the weekends the locals are permitted to stay, and that was a bit overwhelming with long lines and busy restaurants, but the rest of the week was perfect. Beautiful beach and nice pools.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Ocean Blue and Sand

We visited this hotel for the first time and were very impressed with facilities, room size and condition, beach, restaurants, entertainment. We arrived in the middle of the night, around 1 am and had chance to have drinks and food in the restaurant that was open. The entire resort had light under every palm tree. Beautiful resort, extremely clean and well maintained.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Very nice

Was maybe one of the best all-inclusive resorts I’ve been to and I’ve been to over 50. The service was excellent. I didn’t do a lot of the restaurants but the room service was excellent and also very fast. The pool could’ve been a little bit cleaner, but the lobby in the main lobby is absolutely beautiful

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great Resort

Pool is clean, beach is great. Good variety of food and a la carte restaurants. Love the nature habitat. Rooms are pretty decent. Never had an issue with air conditioner or hot water. Depends on where are you in the resort, some staff do not speak english.

Riu Palace Bavaro: Great resort!

Returned from a week's vacation at RIU Palace Bavaro where we had an amazing time. The resort is super clean and spread out nicely. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even fighting to have you sit in their section at breakfast haha! The food was good with lots of choice, I especially liked the meals at Krystal and Zen. We had a great time sitting at the tables in the pool meeting people from other places. The rooms were nicely decorated and laid out well. Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Disappointing

We knew this was a small resort, however it was disappointing. The a la cartes were good. The buffet was so so. The beach was nice but there were red flags most of the time. The poolside entertainment was annoying. They played the same childish song over and over and the dancers looked like they didn't want to be there. They were not very enthusiastic. We couldn't sit on our balcony without feeling like a caged animal in a zoo. Everyone passing by would look at us. We asked to switch rooms to the 2nd floor in a quieter area. They accommodated our request however the new room was moldy and there was leaking on the bathroom floor everyday, which was very dangerous I almost slipped and my husband was recovering from shoulder surgery and we couldn't risk him falling so we found another resort for the 2nd week.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great place to vacation!!!!!

Great place to stay, friendly staff, awesome food. Beach very close. Found it odd we couldn't get coffee at 6am but not a big deal. Room was nice, clean. Fridge in room was not looked after at all, only stocked once. Had problem with WIFI and room Fridge but when we told the Sunwing rep they were both loked after.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Outstanding service and amenities

We had a great time at Bahai Principe Grand Punta Cana. The staff are warm, friendly and very willing to accommodate their guests. We will most likely return some time in the future. The weather was always nice even though it rained off and on for a couple days

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: ONLY Resort We'll Stay At and WILL BE BACK!

This was our third time at the Gran Ventana and it will not be our last!! The staff is amazing and so willing to help with whatever you need or want! The resort, grounds and beach are kept EXTREMELY clean which means a lot. The staff is always tidying, sweeping, cleaning, etc.! The food is great and you can always find something for everyone - even if you are travelling with picky eaters!! Entertainment is fun - hats off to Brian - who is one of the most talented guys around!! I think the on [... read more]ly thing that I could say needs a bit of attention is the pool - I wish it could be skimmed more often to keep the debris out. This is not a party resort so if you're looking for big bashes late at night with young people - this may not be the resort for you. Bartenders are super! And what also means a lot is that the staff get to know you - remember your name - or your favourite drink! It's very personable! We just got home Friday and are already talking about our stay there in 2026!!!

Adults Only Club at Lopesan Costa Bavaro: No so adult only!

Good location, nice and clean beach. Very good buffet. Mexican and Asian very good, steakhouse and French not dependable. One evening food , next time everything we ordered duck and lamb way overcooked. Adult only pool 2 days we could not get any chairs, music is always blasting in restaurants and at the pool . Could not control heat/AC so room was always too cold.
