Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Very Clean

Overall the food was good, staff very helpful & friendly. The food areas very clean, no birds on the tables nor near food areas, because the staff kept things very clean. The bad part was the "sand fleas", on the beach & at the "patio areas" at night.

TRS Turquesa: Fantastic Resort

The hotel, room and grounds were very clean with amazing service anywhere we went. We stayed in the 5600 block where our butler was Angel R. If you can book and request a butler it should be Angel, one amazing person. He goes above and beyond, he's always smiling, happy and more than willing to help you. Another recommendation is to book your a la carte restaurants as soon as you arrive like we did or you may not get a reservation at the restaurants you want. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Had a wonderful time!

My husband John and I had a great time usual, we have been to the Peurta Plata area 9 times,but never to this resort. It was a beautiful resort, quite spread out and scenic. We were in the three thousand block, and our room was fine, large balcony and always clean. Maids were very friendly. The only thing I do have to say about this resort is that there are a lot stairs and hills to climb so anyone with any kind of mobility problem I would not recommend this resort. We were able to go next door the the Tropical and it was another great resort. Was this resort perfect, no, but we did not pay for a five star so shy would we expect one. We had a good time and for what we paid it was perfect.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome resort ... No need to go elsewhere!!

Service was fabulous.. constant and friendly.. My maid from last years trip remembered my name!!!! Grounds were immaculately clean and well groomed.. Food was incredible, delicious and great variety .. Entertainment was everywhere and resort is big enough not to get bored! Love, love, love this resort and will definitely go back for a third time but for two weeks next time.

IFA Bavaro Village: Needs many improvements

The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The rooms were dated and our lock broke 4 times in one week. The main pool was closed down for construction which made it difficult to get a space at the ocean or smaller pool. Too much smoking. Entertainment started at 10 which was too late.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort

My daughter and I went on this trip and had an amazing time. The resort was beautiful, food was very good and the staff were amazing. I would recommend this resort and would be willing to answer questions if anyone would like.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Good Value

Rooms do not have balcony's or chairs but are clean and well decorated. Beach long and clean and pools are nice food was good restaurants were very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall I would recommend

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good resort for kids

Foods are good. Good for buttet standard. rooms are a little old but still quite good. The water park is amazing. Our three kids quite enjoying it and literally went there every day. Good place. Staff are very hepful and amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Well keeped resort

Beautiful resort clean rooms well keeped grounds amazing people nice beach huge swimming pools good entertainment The down side is almost the same food every day but a lots of choices it doesn't have 24 hours restaurant it's only open until 4 AM the food is not great

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Fair

The location is great, the food is Ok, the mexican and brazilian restorants are really good. The temperature was perfect and we enjoy a city tour by taxi( one for us only, not a tour for the same price or less we had a private guide who was speaking spanish only, but my whife is fluent in few languages, so it was not a problem for us) The prices in town are quite better than on the facility, except for the local sale on location twice during our stay, prices which are really negiciables. The room was large but the humidity level on ground floor is too high. It was too cood to put the AC on, so we just put the fan, even there, it was cold, so we asked for extra blankets. The lights in the bathroom was too low, but functiinal. The pool is large but the temperature was high under the sun, without sun shade. The beach was clean and more comfortable and more quiet than the pool.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Average - neither exceptional nor dreadful

The rooms are more like a 3 star. Pool 3 star. Lobby and main restaurant 4 star. Other onsite restaurants 3 star. This place is good for people who don't want to spend too much on a vacation and still have a decent experience. The rooms are old, the pool is old and has some mold in and around the tiles. I saw 3 cockroaches in the poolside grill and onsite Japanese restaurant which was disgusting. The slides are not safe - they scratch and hurt the back and your head bounces off them. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Heaven on Earth

The hotel rooms are beautiful the resort is big and there is lot's to do. Amazing servers in the main buffet place you will have to go say hi to (breakfast) Natividad Colome and the best very efficient server (lunch and dinner) Wilkin Luis Richardson. The bartenders are super hot and very friendly.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort!

The resort was very nice, lots of daily activities, great nightly entertainment and friendly staff. However, when we got there, our room wasn't ready because they made a mistake and gave us a room with one bed. We had to wait about an hour. Then when we got there, they had us in the building closest to the nightly entertainment which turns into a club until 3am. We could hear everything in our room. Having said that, the only rooms available were suites which was a nice upgrade. Our maid was fantastic. The downside is the beach - it was terrible with seaweed everywhere but we didn't care because we stayed by the pool each day which was always clean and the activity staff were amazing. I would definitely go to this resort again. It had everything we were looking for.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful resort

This is a very beautiful resort, clean, well maintained, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay (Dec 12th to the 19th). Always some kind of entertainment day and night. The buffet at lunch and dinner could have more variety, there was lots of meat choices which were great very tasty. Maybe more hot pasta or potatoes (roasted, baked or fried). The bugs were really bad, you couldn't see them but the next day I was covered in bites and I used bug spray. They fog every night but they are still b [... read more]ad.

Dreams La Romana: Great resort

it is a great resort, its our third time here will come back again we have 8 year old daughter she had a grate time as well in kids club Entertament could be better.....................................................................................................

TRS Turquesa: Nice But Won't return

Resort was immaculately manicured and very clean Our room, when we finally got the floor we requested was a beautiful swim up (recommend upgrade up front). Most of the staff was friendly, front desk could've been more helpful. Food was not as good as we had hoped. One of us got food poisoning wasting at least 2 days. Restaurants are not well organized (signage, wait lists, etc.). Beach was nice, but lots of algae. Be weary of Casino offering free chips for a unfamiliar game that seems, and was t [... read more]oo good to be true. Would try another resort if we return to Punta Cana.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Absolutely picture perfect setting

This resort is nested on a cliff like setting with ample lounging areas the resort is absolutely beautiful with friendly environment food is delicious! Definitely take the boat across to Bacardi island and spend the day on the white sand beach and have some fresh seafood.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great value for the money

Grounds were immaculate and staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is quite large so be prepared to take extra time to walk to get where you are going or wait for a trolley shuttle. Plenty of activities and things to do throughout the resort. A big too large for my comfort, but most would find it quite acceptable. Large play area for children and family friendly. Buffet continental restaurants served a wide variety of meals. Vegetables were either prepared in sauces or oil - not to my liking. Fruit is local (melon, pineapple, bananas, etc.) and the same each day. Al a carte restaurants did not accept reservations - huge wait times which was really inconvenient. People started lining up at 5:30 p.m. If you arrived past 6:30 p.m. the expected wait was over two hours -not worth it. Hotel rooms were clean with the exception of low water pressure during peak times. Our room did not have a functioning shower so we had to take baths. Asked to have the shower looked at but it wasn't addressed. Pools were not as clean as they could have been (plastic cups, insects and leaves) - although the general area was well kept and the patio/chairs cleaned each morning. The beach was beautiful, however on this specific property, the area was more narrow than other Punta Cana properties I've been on. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The entertainment staff were a lot of fun and kept people entertained. Overall, a fantastic vacation and despite a few shortcomings, I would recommend this resort.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: You won't be disappointed

Our stay at the VH Grand Ventana was wonderful, the staff always had smiles and wanted to help you at any given time, the rooms we always clean, ground were always being maintained, entertainment staff unbelievable and the new buffet was outstanding

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: great place

Well organized, clean, and great value. Beach is the best I've ever been on. Lovely pools. Restaurants are nice, service great, food us pretty good. For the price paid, if you have any complaints, you must be a chronic complainer... I will go back!
