Catalonia Royal Tulum: Outstanding resort

Every aspect of this resort is excellent. Been to this area of Mexico 4 other times and stayed at 4 other resorts and by far CRT has been the best experience. The beach is the nicest I've seen on the coast with level access into the ocean.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Excellent resort- Barcelo Maya

Accommodation, services, food, staff and everything about Barcelo was amazing. We had an enjoyable time, will definitely go back and will refer friends and family too. West jet representative did an amazing job helping us to select this resort and we are very happy. We will definitely continue to use Westjet for other travels.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Amazing!!!

Another amazing stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun! This was our 3rd time at the hotel and it won't be our last. Everything was great; from the hotel grounds, staff and service to the food and drinks. We will definitely be returning.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: great resort

good value for your money beautiful grounds friendly staff mostly Canadians guests very good evening entertainment activities staff where a lot of fun .kudos to jimmy and the rest of the group.thanks for a great time.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great resort

Rooms / food/ beaches were nice. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The seaweed on the beach is a daily task but the staff do there best to clean / mulch it. We were told that you wouldn't have to struggle in finding a beach chair but we found out that as with most resorts, you have to be up early to put your towel down in order to get a decent chair. Certainly didn't ruin the trip though. Would definitely go back to this resort.

Riu Flamingos: palace on the sand

Riu Jalisco is a very nice resort. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were spacious and clean. There were plenty of restaurants and bars. Nice staff! And great activities crew. The hotel lost water pressure for a night, so that sucked not being able to shower or flush the toilets

Riu Playacar: Beautiful beach, close to Playa

I travelled with my two children, age 11 and 20. We were given a King bed our first night and was placed in a room close to the noisy theatre. The next night they moved us the to a double room with a cot and closer to the beach. If you can, request rooms in buildings 6,7 or 8. The entertainment staff was incredible. The food in the buffetts was also really good, better than the restraunts. The beach was beautiful and the resort was very clean. Great resort if you like a smaller resort. Everythi [... read more]ng was within a minutes walk. Also, a nice little shopping area with a Starbucks right across the street. You could walk into Playa or take a cab for 90 pesos. I would absolutely stay here again.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great small resort

Location was conveniently located close to towns and directly on the beach. Our room and public areas were spotless, the staff were friendly and food was fine. I would highly recommend to those that prefer small resorts, where everything is close and you want to get to know the staff and fellow travelers. The only drawback is the beach is not safe for swimming. Otherwise, I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great stay

This was my second time visiting Bahia Principe in Cancún and I have to say I will go again and again as my budget allows Every aspect of my visit was great. From the food to the cleanliness of the facilities to the friendliness of the staff I would recommend it to anyone visiting

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Excellent resort!

This resort was quite nice, and set up excellent for families. Perks- -loads of activities for the kids (we have pre teen boys age 12/13) -staff gets everyone involved in fun & games -lots of relaxing for parents. -the spa -the staff, bell boys carried our luggage up three flights of stairs! No matter what you're after there's both here. Surfing, boogie boards, sup boards, volley ball, water games. Or just a lounger and amazing sunshine. Downfalls- -smelly (sewage smell in some a [... read more]reas)o -lots of stairs and hills, so bring chaf cream if you use it (no elevators) Overall we all had a great vacation here!

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great staff... not the bang for our buck

Staff was excellent, friendly, dedicated. Food was tremendous. Entertainment less than expected. Beach was difficult to walk, reefs were remarkable for scuba and snorkel. Some sewage smell on grounds. Overall overpriced in Can dollars/ better deals from US but a week of sun always welcome in Feb.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: First All Inclusive

Pro's: Service from wait staff, housekeeping, daily activity coordinators was great. The buffet food was awesome. Beach and pools were lovely. Small, adult orientated. Cons: The transat staff who cordinated tours couldn't be less helpful when both our tours were cancelled after we paid. No attempt to regain funds was established, they were unapologetic and seemed more than aware this was a likely possibility however never informed us. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great stay, lots of friendly staff, very helpful

The food was good, lots of variety, weather was warm, of course booking restaurants by 11;00am the day after we arrived at 11:00pm, was challenging, no decent times left. Everyone we spoke to said they had a 10:30pm spot left every night for the Japanese style restaurant (6 nights and only 10:30 left for seating). Mexican and Italian restaurants were great. All bars were consistently awesome with drinks, internet issues all the time, day or night in the lobby but, hey we were on vacation. WestJe [... read more]t agents and BD travel (their tour guide company) were usually available and very accommodating, thanks to Claudia and Jonathon at BD. The WestJet/BD office is right beside the Tequila Store and you can book your excursions there. We were not pleased with the FREE BD tour to Playa Del Carmen as our first stop was at a jewelry factory (not store) where they give you a 10 minute intro of who does not does what, gemologist, etc. then 1 1/2 hour pressure sales by more than 20 staff!!! Again free silver tag with your name in Mayan, then 1/2 hour in a glass blowing place - interesting and beautiful pieces, no pressure sales there, then lunch or supper in Playa Del Carmen (ok but better food on the resort), then free to roam for 2 1/2 hrs in Playa Del Carmen. Front desk helpful, if you want to print your return ticket confirmation off, there is NO BUSINESS CENTRE! You have to wait in line at the same area, next to the front desk, where you book the restaurants and hotel excursions. When bringing your bags to the front to check out (or calling for them to be brought there) PLEASE make sure you check out at the front desk and bring the keys for the room and towels back by 12:00. They tried to charge us for not checking out at the cost of $10.00/hr after 12:00, our bags were out front at 10:00am. They gave in. The beach was far from our end of the resort at Coba, 8 minute golf cart ride, carts were around fairly often. Nice Hacienda and very small Casino. Overall very pleased with everything at the resort.

Riu Flamingos: Great place to stay.!

Likes: The food, lots of variety on the buffets, more than I expected. The al-a-carte restaurants were great, especially the steakhouse. Sport's var open 24 hours and had sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers and fruit. Service was always excellent from all the friendly staff from groundskeeper to front desk. Most of the bar staff made really good mojitos and pina coladas. The entertainment staff tried really hard to engage with as many people as possible. Place was always being cleaned from bathroom [... read more]s to lobby floors. Plenty of chairs on the Beach, good entertainment, better than expected. Rooms were comfortable and came with a fridge stocked with pop and water to use with your 4 bottles of booze in suite. Cans of beer in your fridge too. Dislikes: The coffee was terrible, I mean not good at all. Only survived on double shot American's from the 24 hour sports bar which used regular coffee and not expresso. Crampy toilet paper that was 2 ply but worked like 1 ply. Our room only had a stand up shower that was a nice size but hardly compare to a soaker tub. Maid service was always later in the day, closer to supper time and sometimes that had to come back to give you towels or to restock fridge. Went without first any water and then just cold water for almost 20 hours on the 2nd to last day which meant you couldn't flush the toilet.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Perfect!

We have just returned from a one week stay at the Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda and from start to finish, it was perfect! The resort itself is very large and absolutely beautiful. The room was large and located in a great spot. The food was the best I have had at any resort and there was so much to choose from. The grounds were very clean and the staff were always friendly, I never encountered one person who did not have a smile :). This is a resort we would definitely come back to!

Grand Sunset Princess: Not for me

When you first arrive this resort has a beautiful grand entrance. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. The rooms are nice and quiet and decently spacious. I am a beach bumper and was not happy with the beach. There is not tons of beach frontage and when you go in the water you encounter lots of rocky areas so best to have where shoes. I don't use the pools however if you do like them . People really seemed to be enjoying them. The buffets were decent but the a la cart restaurants [... read more] were underwhelming expecially the Japanese one. Overall it was an ok resort but I don't think I would return.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort - great value!

This was our 3rd visit to the Grand Bahai Principe. This time in the Tulum section Close to the beach - easy walk Tropical fish for your snorkelling pleasure Ate at the buffet for all meals - lots of choice, tasty food, vegetarian section, all food labeled Nice rooms, cleaned well daily, fridge stocked daily Quiet and active / noisy pools Friendly, helpful staff Overall great time!!

Dreams Los Cabos: Excellent stay

Grounds are great and very well kept, beach is beautiful but with undertow there's no swimming in it. We thought the room (had a bed suite) was great and all have ocean views. Could have been at least one more ala carte restaurant but we really enjoyed the ones they have - ate at both the French and the Mediteranean restaurants twice we liked them so much. Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing resort!

Wonderful room, food, weather, and amazing beaches. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay very much. Late night entertainment sound from outside stage carried up to rooms, so it was hard to sleep sometimes

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Fabulous, Fabulous

Had the most wonderful time, a 10 day stay, weather was perfect. Not party people, we were on the lazy river, a nice quiet relaxing place. The pool bar was always hopping if that is your thing. Grounds were very well kept and very clean. Entertainment was really good, although the 'fat elvis' as we called him, shouldn't try to make small talk between songs, a little awkward. (we saw him twice, sang really well). The only thing was the mini bar guy didn't show up for a few days, don't know why, [... read more] but one complaint and it was back on track... missed my chips.... We felt perfectly safe at this resort. I would return.
