Riu Vallarta: I'm open to try a different Riu Hotel

The Hotel lobby was open and clean. The room where average, nothing special, smelled like mildew in the room. The bed was very uncomfortable, hard, and springs poking through the mattress, and only 3 small lumpy pillows. I went down and talked with staff at the desk the very next morning and inquired about another room. The lady behind the desk was very rude. She said, "what's wrong with you lady, your on the 8th floor!'' I told her that bed was the issue not the 8th floor. Then she said there w [... read more]ere no rooms available. The food was average for an all inclusive, the a la cart were not managed well-the manager said it was first come first serve, so I went and grabbed my friends within 2 minutes and returned back to Sir Georges and he said they were full. He did give me a puck and it lit up about 2 hours later. I wish he would have just gave me a puck right away. The buffet cafés had birds flying in out, at least 80% of the food was covered. I developed irritable bowel syndrome at this hotel, and took another week to recover. There were 2 pools , clean, one was family centered, hard to find a spot unless you woke at 6 am. I found that the bar tenders ignored the women and not the men when ordering drinks. There was plenty of entertainment every day at the pool and just about every night . People were hooting and hollering every night up to 2 a.m. So excellent place to stay if you enjoy the night life.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Tropical and elegance all in one package

We've never had a more wonderful vacation. The resort had the feel of the tropics but was so elegant wuth its marble walkways and tigerwood walkways. The water features in the evening were so beautiful. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was evident they wanted to make sure you were enjoying yourself. The food was amazing. Occidental Cozumel: Snorkeling Heaven

My wife and I both loved Occidental Cozumel. The snorkeling off the resort beach is fantastic seen yellow rays,squid,barracuda and countless other fish. I was snorkeling at least 3 hours a day. If you have a chance to snorkel the reefs (afternoon excursion to two different reefs do it you won't regret it)(shark,dolphins,eagle rays and sting ray all in one afternoon) The resort is small and is in a beautiful setting...wildlife everywhere nature lovers will love it here..The food is OK. Small buf [... read more]fets that are understaffed. This is not a wild party resort. The booze flows freely and everyone was having a good time. You always get a few people that complain. Try the roof top pizza the cozumel pizza was are favorite (Seafood). We met with many return travelers that said the resort is improving all the time......I think we will return also.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Gorgeous Resort

We had an awesome time at the resort. The grounds were well kept with amazing wildlife running around. The pool areas were very nice and kept clean and free of debrie. All the staff on site were very helpfull and curtious. Rooms also were very nice and the cleaning staff friendly and efficient. I wold recommend this resort highly for all ages. The alacart dining was nice many varieties of food. The specialty restaurants were very nice as well. The only recommendatin I hae is that they should c [... read more]hange the poicy for men having to wear long pants and full toed shoes, were women are allowed to wear what they wish . Felt this to be a bit unfair for some of the women were very poorly dressed as if they did not care that they were in a restaurant were all ages are present.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Amazing resort geared for children

From the kids club to the pools to the movie theater and games room, there is something for everyone. This was my first family vacation with all 4 of my boys (aged 5,7,12,22) We got 2 rooms on the main level in front of the pool with an ocean views. We had originally requested 2 double beds in each room but then upgraded one of the rooms to a king with a semi wall and a triple bunk on the other side. The kids had their own tv and it gave us parents a little separation. When I looked at the p [... read more]ricing through the travel agent it would have cost us much more to upgrade to that room category but only cost $300usd at the hotel. The little ones loved the ocean, kids club, water slides, pools etc. My 12 & 22 year old played water polo and beach volleyball daily and also enjoyed the pools. The food was great, there was always something to eat no matter what time it was. Even for the kids there was always something. The best waiter by far at the buffet was Pepe, he really took care of us. The best bar tender at the pool was Nieser. The staff was always happy and polite. I was nervous taking this many kids to an all inclusive but was pleasantly surprised and would definitely return. I am a resort snob usually and I found that all of my expectations were met and so were the kids. No-one was ever bored. We will definitely return. Enjoy!

Grand Oasis Cancun: Grand Oasis Cancun is a JOKE!!!!!

I've been to plenty of resorts and very, very reasonable. But for a place like this in unbelievable pathetic and embarrassing. Other than the people I met on this trip and the beach was good (other than u cannot take the lounger past a rope line and the beach volleyball court has a forest behind w/ roots/branches sticking out of it) I know travel agents have no say on what goes on at these resorts but if you get these types of complaints~~~Why promote them? Here is my breakdown : 1) C [... read more]heck-in is F*** SLOW!!!!!!! I arrived at the resort around 9pm and was maybe 8th in line?... It took me an hour to get checked in....One guy working. I saw other workers walking around doing nothing.... Also the guy who checked me in had the smart @$$ remark on when I asked him if there is courtesy shower cause I have a late flight the end of my trip. He says... "Make friends"... Serious???? 2) To pay for a room safe lock is sometimes ok (don't know why it's not part of the hotel fees) but to pay $7US a day for a whole week is friggin' robbery! 3) Pay for an up-grade of $25/day (NOT on ROOMS but for specialty dining / drinks) That means people who don't do this is NOT ENTITLED to it AFTER PAYING good money for an all inclusive is a JOKE!!! 4) For people who didn't get these "Black Wristbands" Have to lineup EVERY DAY at 6:00pm to reserve a time. 5) For other restaurants you have there's a waiting list~~~So that means you have to leave your day activities, cleanup, then lineup to get a dinner spot~~~Most likely, it'll be an hour late...Unbelievable!!! 6) If you're S.O.L. on getting in on any of these restos~~~you go to the buffet and you guess it, another long @$$ lineup..Serious??? The food in there MUST be the leftovers from the other specialty restos... To have NO made to order pasta is sad.... Only edible thing I had was spaghetti/meatballs with day old nuggets..Geeeeez 7) Breakfast~~~Isn't that supposed to be the most important meal?? Only good thing was the lovely lady who made the eggs (bless her for feeding me) But to have BACON for only ONE day I was there is embarrassing~~~Even Cuba had bacon EVERYDAY for breakfast. 8) My room was 4410 (wk of Feb12-19, 2017) My door can be easily be opened from the other but giving it a good push (no key card required) Of course I complained and lo and behold they'll get someone there...an hour later nothing~~~ So I didn't bother cause I've been waiting wait too long. Meeting new friends and having sunny weather saved a bit for this trip~~~Grand Oasis Cancun is a money grabbing resort that only cares for people who paid $200 EXTRA on top of their vacation. JJ ARROZ PS : This rant is a God honest truth, But I'll be really surprised this comes into print or forwarded to the resort.... But Trip Advisor and other hotel reviews will know. Too bad you don't have a 0 rating cause that's what I'll give the "Overall Rating"

Hotel Irma Zihuatanejo: Still our favourite

Fantastic view and location -- both from the comfortable rooms and the pool area -- plus stellar service. A great choice for those who prefer to be out and about on holiday, not at an all-inclusive resort.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing and clean

great food,clean, very helpful staff..... take a cab to the marina and see the market but you don't really need to leave resort it has every thing .Lots of goods being sold on the beach ( blanket plates silver goods hats sun glasses )A great get away

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Holiday

We enjoyed 10 days at this resort(feb8-feb18)..the rooms are dated but kept exceptionally clean. The first room we were given was very musty smelling and had 2 beds, we were disappointed, but the man who brought our luggage said not to touch anything in the room and to talk to the reception desk..we did this and they were very accommodating and gave us another room more to our liking. The grounds were kept immaculate. The staff were lovely, very friendly and made us feel at home . The food was v [... read more]ery good and lots of selection at the buffet. Very nice pool with one side for activities and the other for more relaxation, with the pool bar open to both sides.Small beach with rocky entrance to water (bring water shoes) going in off the pier was fine....lots of beach on either side of resort if you like walking on the beach....the dressel divers on site are very professional, my husband got his certification and enjoyed many dives...you can also go snorkeling with them and they provide you with wetsuits and a guide for the group and take you out to the 2 diving reefs....there is a souvenir shop by the pool where you can paint ceramics and they will bring them back the next day after firing them. ...entertainment was so so, but it didn't really matter to us. .all in all it was a very positive experience, beautiful country, beautiful people and a resort that has more of a village or family feel to it.... the sunsets over the ocean are spectacular rent a vehicle for a day and explore the Atlantic side of the island (ChenRio is a great place to stop for seafood and beautiful beach) Would return in a heartbeat

Riu Lupita: Wonderful vacation spot!

If you are looking for a clean, not too big, relatively quiet, resort to spend your vacation, this is the place for you. We recently spent a week here and we're wowed by everything from the rooms, to the service. Everything was so clean and the staff were so accommodating. If you asked for it, you got it, and with a smile. The only down side was that the resort was not right on the beach but the beach was worth the 10 minute drive by shuttle that was provided by the resort. Having a restaurant a [... read more]nd a pool (both part of the main resort but off sight), was great. It meant that you could stay all day at the beach with most of the resort amenities there as well. The food at the resort was exceptional, and this comes from a couple of self proclaimed "picky eaters". There was a wide variety at every meal in the buffet, which would accommodate most any dietary requirements, or preferences. The only thing that we didn't see was peanut butter. Not sure if that was because they didn't have it, or we just couldn't find it, but if you have a PB addiction, you might want to bring your own. We happened to be at the resort on Valentine's Day and the staff went all out for this, not only with the food, but displays and ice sculptures as well. The young people providing the entertainment were all so fun and full of energy. They were talented but beyond this, they truly seemed to love their jobs. We can't say enough positive about this place. We would (and have already), recommended it to friends.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great place!

Very nice resort on a beautiful island. Clean and friendly. Rodrigo from the kitchen made delicious treats and made our family feel welcome. The staff was very helpful to get anything we might need. Rooms were a good size and well kept.

Grand Sunset Princess: Awesome resort

The resort we attended was awesome: the staff was very helpful, pools were clean, entertainment was great, the food a la carte was superb and the beach was not that I had ever seen before. I would certainly recommend the Grand Sunset Princess resort to anyone who is interested in staying in Mexico.

Riu Vallarta: Beautiful Resort!

Riu Vallarta is a truly unique experience. The hotel is fabulous. Our room was perfect. Lovely view of the pool area, grounds and of course the most amazing sunsets! The staff are all super friendly and very helpful. They offer a variety of entertainment options throughout the day as well as evening shows. The food in the restaurants is really good, again offering great choices between 3 restaurants and a fantastic buffet, not to mention the bar(s) and lounges.

Kore Tulum Retreat Wellness Resort: Amazing Resort

We thought the resort was very romantic, relaxing all the positive comments true. The grounds, restaurants and rooms very clean. Staff were kind, friendly and courteous! Breakfasts amazing. We never took part of lunches as a result. As for suppers, Asian and Italian were amazing. Mexican we did not appeal towards this menu. The only downfall the beach is (for us) a 10 minute walk. Overall a very relaxing, romantic and peaceful experience. Bert and Nicole!

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Very good family resort

Resort was very clean, pools well looked after, a la carte restaurants good. Entertainment somewhat lacking, as it mostly takes place in the lobby bar. Staff overall very accommodating. Beach is great, water has huge waves, consequently red flag days, but always a section with yellow flags.

El Dorado Royale: El Dorado Royale is one of the best Adults Only properties!

Our second stay at this property did not disappoint, we are still so impressed with the service, their attention to detail, the quality of the food & the overall comfort of this beautiful resort that we may even go back for a third. The staff is friendly, efficient, discreet & very hard working! This chain is doing lots of things right & their staff obviously take pride in their work because of it. Training, English lessons & exercise facilities are provided for the staff in a brand new buildin [... read more]g. Much of the produce served in the restaurants is grown in organic greenhouses on the property & it is delicious! The a la carte restaurants are a pleasure to dine in & for the most part there is no need for reservations nor are there line ups. There are bicycles available, a well equipped gym, spa facilities, Starbucks, beautiful meandering walking paths & stunning grounds.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Service

This resort had all the amenities you could ask for. It's like they found out what stresses people out while at a resort and they eliminated them. Unlimited beach towels, not monitored. One lady said "there's no towel drama". We ate at the Hunter steak house 4 times, no problem. The buffet was great especially breakfast, I can't think of a thing they could have added to the menu. I went to the gym a few times and the equipment was fantastic. We would recommend this resort to our friends..... [... read more]. The beach service was wonderful and always lots of choices for seating and sun/shade options. The only complaint would be the water ( can't be rectified by the resort). The water was murky on 6 out of 7 days. So don't expect the picture postcard waters of other carribean destinations. There was also garbage floating in the water....not sure if it came from the immediate area or carried from the deep ocean...but I found that very disconcerting, and have to say I have never encountered this at any other destination, at home or abroad.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great vacation

As for the food it was more then our expectation. Very clean, preety and modern resort. Pool and see ice 10/10. Beach lovers avoid the whole Riviera maya area. I highly recommend. One thing to improve would be the communication for the activities for hideaway. Also the butlers should be there to guide not only to try to sell time-sharing

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: The best resort ever

Everything g from the minute we arrived has been top notch, or as Now resorts say "unlimited luxury"! The hotel and grounds are so clean and inviting. The food superb! All staff from gardeners to concierge extremely friendly and pleasant. We have been travelling in Mexico for 40 years and this resort exceeded any other. BTW Jenn Black has been super helpful with us planning our vacation, even with some curveballs we threw her way after booking. We'll use Tripcentral again without hesitation!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: good time good food

Resort was great. Food was awesome. Staff and locals were real nice. Housekeeping was ok. Buying from vendors was expensive no great deals. For Canadians better to use peso bring a calculator. I would go again for sure!
