Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Started off rocky but quickly turned...

We arrived at night so it was hard to get around. That was frustrating (thanks to Sunwing..grr). within 2 days we were having amazing time. EXCELLENT resort... staff were incredible. This is a must go resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Resort!!

This resort is a very clean resort, staff was polite at all times, service when issues arose was taken care of quickly (issues were minor). Pools and beach were nicely taken care of. The Bahia's are a great choice for vacations as I stay with them frequently. Ill be back too!

Riu Naiboa: GREAT TIME WITH GREAT PEOPLE!

love the place the food was amazing and the installations of the resort were amazing. even tough the beach is around 10 minutes walk. is a nice walk and you can get to chat with people from other resorts.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: don't go here

Spent a week at Sirenis in October. Terrible food, weak staff and the pols were filthy. Thankfully we didn't get sick but many other guests did. We love punta cana and will return but not to this resort.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great Resort

Pretty good resort food was exceptable rooms were good.Good Beach.Service was slow at times most of the staff were pleasant. Nighly entertainment could have a little English speaking. The grounds were imaculant

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic

Resort is fantastic, lots to do and can use all at other resorts that in in complex. A little disappointed in the reps from Airt Transat :( Pools food and service from staff at resort was great. It was a great week away

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amasing resort and a stellar vacation experience.

This resort is absolutely amasing.Extemely clean and the friendliest staff.We wanted for nothing.The nightly entertainment is energetic and fun and very well put together.Our food experience was outstanding,, There was nothing that we did not like.Woould recommend the upgrade to Colonial level this upgrade is awesome.Our butler Franklin was absolutely outstanding .We would recommend asking for him as your butler.This was the best vacation we ever had and cannot wait to return.A wonderful resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very nice resort...but...

Overall, the resort deserves it's "luxury" title. The physical plant, (rooms, public areas, pool, etc.) are attractive and extremely well kept. Everything is CLEAN and polished/painted at all times. Service was wonderful about 98% of the time. Only one or two buffet servers tended to ignore us when we wanted coffee in the morning, but someone always picked up on this and came to our rescue, often a person wearing a name tage with "training" under their name. One of the small pool bar tenders see [... read more]med put out by being asked for anything. Often she was in her "back room" and had to be called for to get service. Lobby staff, porters, and maids were first class! I have heard complaints of "language barriers" but there is a universal language, NOT money, but a smile! Really, there was no language issue, someone would seek help if my rusty Spanish failed me. The food was definitely the weak point. Buffet "hot" food was never hot unless just freshly cooked or re-heated on the grill. The choice of foods was not bad, but soggy calimari does not appeal to many, even those who eat calimari. A la carte restaurants were better than buffets. Just don't EVER order the cod at the El Piscador. It reminded me of the old salted fish of 17th and 18th Century novels and was inedible. I'm sure my blood pressure went up many points with the salt intake from two bites! Overall a nice resort if you are prepared to eat simple foods in the buffet and don't mind cool waffles,pancakes, etc. I have to say if I would recommend this hotel to friends in check box below. I am answering "yes" with caveats - food and vicious biting bugs that leave oozing bites day and night, inside and out. USE BUG SPRAY!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Family fun

We had a great family trip down at the Now Larimar. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, yummy food. The only drawback was that for our little 3 kids (aged 5,3,1), they weren't allowed to use the play structures available unless they were signed in to the daycare (no parents allowed). Nice for other families, but not ideal for us as our kids were too shy to go into care, so they just looked longingly at the what appeared to be a fantastic jungle gym. If you're traveling with little ones, definitel [... read more]y upgrade to the rooms closer to the beach. It's too long of a trek on the shuttle to the garden suites. Also, for families of five like us, you need to book early for the family suite or get two rooms as we did.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Super Magnifico as they say here!

The resort was extremely nice, lots of things to do if that's what you're into or just want to have a peaceful rest surrounded by beautiful pools, tropical views and great service? Well you get that here as well!!

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: normally good

nice ground, good food, great staff, rooms and service and cleanness were good, pool was nice, beach has lots sea weed but they were cleaning everyday, ocean water was muddy at front and lots rocks and some with sharp edges and lots of weed. wifi was very slow, entertainment was good, day and night activities were good.beautiful resort.bars were good.lots locals, 2 grand opening nights for disco was too loud and too late ( 5 am).premium club is separated in beach area with better seats, better b [... read more]ar and they have better viewings in buffet restaurant area.bring spray bugs with you so as water shoes if you want to walk in ocean or beach.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great resort

The grounds and views were nice, place was clean but lack dishes at breakfast and dinner times. Overall had a get time. Lots of exertion's to do at a reusable cost. Room service and hospitality was great.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Amazing with some issues

The resort is huge and I mean huge, however carts seem to pass quite often. It is a good 7-10 min walk (depending on your speed) to get from lobby to beach. Great fun place. Amazing rock bands that play to 20 people??? Golf course was amazing and the service unbelievable. In Oct, no-one is on the course. You are given towels to sit on and a cooler of ice water. After sweltering round, they present you with a wonderful ice cold wash cloth, then clean your clubs. Shuttle available to take you ther [... read more]e and back all the time..no waiting. Service at the hotel amazing, they couldn't do enough for you and never waited for anything. We wanted to be fairly close to lobby as we were golfing early each morning. Big mistake as when nightclub closed at 2 am herds of people partying walking down our hallway, then again at 4 am when casino closed. We didn't get much sleep. Also for some reason, which I read in other reviews, there were tons of mosquitos in the room. We probably killed about 30 a day and listening to them buzz in your ear when you are trying to sleep was not fun. Finally, if you are a beach person, which I am, I don't know if the ocean is like this year round where this hotel is situated, but it was pretty much unswimmable. The waves were huge and very rough. I've never experienced this at other hotels in Punta Cana. Plus the rough surf had washed the slope away, so that you had to climb a cliff to get up the beach. If not for the noise and mosquitos, I would definitely return. I would recommend to friends but with reservations.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort

Although the resort is very big, it still has a cozy feel. The restaurants are great especially the ones by the ocean where there is always a breeze for lunch. The wait staff at the sit-down restaurants however are a bit on the rude side, we have been to many resorts all over and we found the Dominican not very friendly.. Rooms was very nice and spacious and cleaned daily. The night entertainment is hit or miss, the Michael Jackson night was amazing! Once the show is over however there's not a l [... read more]ot to do except go hang out in the lobby or on the patio and they close pretty early. Your only option after that is the Disco or the Casino. Overall it was a great week!

Occidental Caribe: Beautiful resort and beach

We had a great time. The resort was lovely and the beach is beautiful. We enjoyed the food and restaurants. Wonderful service. We would recommend this resort to all our family and friends. Thank you Barcelo for a wonderful vacation

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Paradise Found

What a great property. From check in to check out, the staff and service was top notch. By far the best all inclusive trip from Aruba to Jamaica that I have experienced. The staff and their can do attitude, and wonderful amenities made this an a vacation to remember.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Casa Marina, Sousa wonderful resort

This was our second time there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. People are helpful and friendly and the resort was very clean. Food was excellent and it's nice that it's only 15 minutes from the airport. Will visit again and again, loved our time there.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Wonderful holiday

We stayed at the Riu Bachata from Oct 27th 2015 for q week. Beautiful room, beach and pool area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A LA carte restaurants were delicious, the buffet was good but a bit repetitive but you won't go hungry there is something for everyone. Only complaint was the vendetta who take over the lobby one day a week, yiu have to pass them to get into the buffet and they are relentless. The prices start out ridiculous 65 $ for two wooden masks we ended up paying 16$ for th [... read more]e two !!! There are sand fleas or midgies some people call then my husband is covered in bites I have none apparantly some people are allergic some are not I guess I am one of the lucky ones I have since read deet off or tea tree oil keep them away. Great vacation all in all. Oh and the nightly entertainment is pretty good too loved the Michael Jackson show.

The rooms were lovely although dimly lit and the grounds beautifully kept. The staff were friendly .Beware of going in October. It was very humid and several of the restaurants were not really airconditioned. The heat also made for a very warm pool. Our only complaint was at the Japanese restaurant. We were ordering a la carte and only half of our group got their food.The others were not served until 40 minutes later and the service in between was totally unacceptable. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Fabulous Time

We enjoyed our stay at Memories Splash Punta Cana. The resort was very well maintained, Food was excellent, Beach beautiful.The staff is amazing. Especially Valentin and Emillio. They went above and beyond!!!!
