Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: JAMAZING TIME!

The hotel staff were all great, and super friendly. Special Shout out to some jamazing workers though, Stringbean with the activity crew, Jevon at the bar and Evette in the dining area. We connected most with these 3 and they were nothing but phenomenal. Also if you have a chance to go to the japanese restaurant request Merrick, hands down the best chef/performer I have ever seen at a tapanaki restaurant and I have been to quite a few. My only negative here was that our room smelt of mildew, I dont think there is enough bathroom ventilation and so humid in there due to weather and moisture. Food was delicious, temperature was hit or miss sometimes. Ton's of variety in the buffet for all. Al la carte Restaurants were good too. Japanese was our favourite but we had a yummy tenderloin at the steak restaurant and loved the ravioli at the Italian restaurant. Went to the disco once, we had a good time. Saw some shows which were pretty good a magic show and Michael Jackson. Lots of activities through the day to keep you busy if that's your thing. Thanks for everything!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Nice place!!

The resort grounds were very tropical and nice. Food was pretty decent. Beach was kind of a turn off because of all the rock. Entertainment was great but the only thing is there was not much going on afterwards. More of a night life would have been ideal!! Overall I’d give it a 7out 10

Hotel Mojito: excellent holiday at Mojito

all was very good except for a lack of washrooms around pools- rooms & grounds very well kept staff very friendly-good activities for our grand kids -food was good breakfast especially-fruit was somewhat scarce

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Beautiful resorts

The food was great, the accommodations were nice. Was disappointed that I upgraded to prestige. Did not find it worth the extra money. Not really any extra perks with the upgrade to prestige. None of the workers had any knowledge of the upgrade and there was one spot on resort for prestige which we didnt even find until our 3rd day.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Fantastic resort

This hotel was an older resort but it was kept very clean, and well maintained. The workers were Constantly cleaning and upgrading, example, new walkway to beach. The servers were great. Always going around refreshing your drinks. Variety of food was great. Always something to eat. Beautiful grounds. Highly recommend this resort. Beaches were absolutely amazing. Great snorkeling

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Hotel in need of serious upgrades

This hotel wasn’t great. It was clean, staff were friendly, and beautiful oceanfront, but everything else was lacking. Pool is only open until 6pm, rooms are basic and in need of upgrades. The shower flooded every time it was used (less than 5 minutes) and we had to call several times to get the issue addressed. All of the other members of our groups experienced issues with their rooms as well. The food was horrible even by Cuban standards. Would not be going back.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great resort

This was a great resort that my boyfriend and I have visited from February 20th-27th. If You’re going away as couples and are looking for a party resort this wouldn’t be your best choice but if you’re looking for a nice relaxing trip it’s great. Although it was hard finding beach chairs due to the resort being full but everything was great. Also the rooms were pretty ran down if you are a very picky person overall I wouldn’t recommend Cuba at But if you don’t mind the little things like the room not bothering you then it’s good. It would’ve been nicer if the room was a little more modern but again you’re there to spend your time in the sun not in your room. Beach and ocean were amazing.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort and great service

We had a great time at the resort, the food was good, the service was great and overall the entire experience was amazing. The downside was that the washroom in our room did not have ventilation and the restaurants were too crowded. Other than that, thumbs up!

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Fantastic stay!

Coral level is well worth it! Private a la carte restaurant with good variety of food, pool (pool bar), and outdoor bar all in very close proximity but also access to all resort amenities (main resort is a bit of a walk but I think resort is completely accessible with many ramps on site). Coral is away from the rowdiness of main pool area and very quiet and serene. Service by all staff at Coral was exceptional. You are assigned "butlers" who help with anything that may be problematic. They went  [... read more]above and beyond when needed. Stunning beach at man made Bay for all resort guests. Ideal for wading or if traveling with children as is shallow. Snorkeling opportunities on site. 10 minute walk or drive (drivers available on resort) to larger beach with water activities, windsurfing, kayaking etc. Food was plentiful and fresh, chicken, beef, seafood, fish, cheese all available. Fresh fruit and vegetables available but limited (our visit was late Feb). Some meals exceeded expectations. No real complaints. Keep expectations re: food low and you won't be disappointed. This IS a country where food is rationed for its residents. I am very sensitive to changes in water and food when I travel and I did not get sick at all. I highly recommend a visit to this resort if you are looking for some R & R and time in the sun.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing resort

It’s been a while since we’ve been on vacation. This resort was absolutely amazing. Grounds, rooms were impeccable. Staff were very helpful and always with a smile. Big shout out to Monica and jiovanni from the main buffet. Food and entertainment was very good.Can’t get over how beautiful the beach was. Ocean was so clear. We will definitely be back. Thank you for this memorable vacation. Our 37 wedding anniversary.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Amazing Beautiful Resort & Cubans

2nd time at the IPP Feb 2020 and never disappointed. I love this resort Yami, Babo made things fun with their games, personalities and warm hearts. Roiny, Adrian for good drinks, cute smiles and awesome personalities, the gardener for working so hard to keep the grounds beautiful for us & Janet for all our requests, you made everything happen as we wanted and we are so thankful. We will return Aug 2020!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Good Resort, could be better

The hotel itself is nice, some of the rooms we were told are a little dated, but ours (a junior suite) was fine. It was clean, had a king size bed (the mattress was not the greatest but we slept ok) had a shower, tub and dual sinks. There is also a safe in the room to keep your valuables in although we have never had an issue in Cuba and have been five times. The resort is Ocean front but not beach front, there is an area with loungers and shade near the ocean but the boardwalk obstructs the  [... read more]view. You can get a lounger on the boardwalk if you’re r there early enough.Playa Pilar is only a 1km walk away and is gorgeous. You don’t even have to walk all the way to get a great view of the ocean. The buffet is the main restaurant at the resort. The food was decent but not spectacular, the second night we were at the resort they couldn’t keep up with demand and we went away a bit hungry. They try and cater to everyone which is difficult and some people do complain about the food. We got three “a la carte” seating throughout the week. Twice we went for the Japanese which was great and fun for everyone and the other was the Mediterranean which was again good, but not spectacular. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and the pool is good too. The staff at the pool and beach were great. Special shout out to Miguel who made our time at the beach awesome. Front desk staff was courteous, we had a slight delay checking in and getting our room but not as bad as some that we heard of. The entertainment team was on point, the shows were pretty good and had the Cuban flare Cuba is known for. All in all it was a good trip , the only complaint we really had was we had to ask several times for our mini fridge to be restocked. Good family resort , go for the beaches, the people and the sun.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Iberostar Holguin Coral Level

This resort is beautiful as it is not even 2 years old yet. Pool area and service was wonderful If you are looking for rest relaxation and pretty much nothing to do this is the place Everyone over 40 and mostly couples but I went to do nothing You are 1.5 hours from Holguin and 30 minutes from Guardelavacca

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not quite as advertised

Although the beack and staff were wonderful, there were a few things about the hotel that were a bit of a let down. As another reviewer said, the hotel seems to be in decline. It was our family's time there but we talked to several other families who had been there before who said that the resort had slid downhill. The former waterfall is no longer working, the jacuzzi on the 5th floor was running but with only cold water. We had to use our same blue beack towels for the entire 10 days we were there as no replacements were available. The bath towels in the room smelled quite a bit as though there were not enough detergent used. I am not condemning the place as the food was decent enough and the people were great. I would actually rate this place as more of a 3+ stars and not a 4.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great value

We have just returned from a very nice week at the Iberostar. We are very happy with our vacation. Reception was very smooth and friendly. Check out as well. Rooms are exceptionally clean with comfortable beds and nice showers. Each room has a balcony. All rooms are non smoking including the balcony. Food at the buffet was above average and the a la carte’s were solid. The beach is busy but beautiful. Bar, snack shop and ice cream shop all located at beach Entertainment staff were busy  [... read more]all day with different activities. The nightly shows were exciting and seemed to be enjoyed be everyone. There is a small natural jungle section located in the centre of the property that features lots of wildlife and plant life. It was a nice easy walk thru. Located a short cab ride from the Center of Playa del Carmen, it was located in a gated area, that you could safely walk around outside of the resort. A very solid resort at a very comfortable price.

Everything is nice very good hotel to stay there. Very nice people who working there. Food is good. Service is good and nice. Hotel is very nice. Entertainment is nice for adults and kids. Next time see you there.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: beautiful resort with something for everyone

My husband and I came to this resort with our entire family which has been a dream of mine from when we got married 40 plus years ago. There were 10 of us and ranged in age from 4 to 67. The kids were on the go from the minute we stepped onto the grounds. The 2 youngest particularly loved star camp and never wanted to leave...….the staff were incredible! The pools were great, the water temperature perfect! The swim up bar with the waterfall overhead pretty and fun. The wave pool a huge delight! The activities offered were fun and the staff very cool! Javi, Carolina and others were extraordinary and so upbeat (I wish I could recall all of their names) The servers in the restaurant the best. Very attentive and fast! All staff very polite and smiling! I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. I would not hesitate to return to this resort...…..it's beautiful, functional and most of all fun. The perfect vacation!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: fabulous vacation resort

This resort was amazing! Something for all! The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The peacocks and coati's were something to see (and the kids loved them) Everything from the restaurants to the pools to the evening entertainment was amazing and well done. Probably though the best thing about the resort was the staff and how they made you feel. I wish I could recall all their names. the young ones spent some time at the star club and those folks were wonderful. In fact the 6 ye [... read more]ar old wanted to be there everyday! Normally when we travel we take an excursion or two. We did not this time as everything we needed was right at the resort.

Everything was great except common toilets which were less taken care. Accommodation, grounds, food, excelent. Beach and water amazing! Service excelent and people extremely friendly. It was a great vacation.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Beautiful grounds, great people

Just got back from a 5 day stay at Iberostar Playa Alameda. Since we were there for such a short period of time, we didn't do any excursions and stayed on the resort. Luckily, there was lots to do - Charlie and the entertainment team do a great job of hosting events. We did rum and cigar tasting and pairing, cocktail mixing, dancing, and much more. For the most part, the staff were also incredibly kind. One thing that was a bit frustrating was that many people would put things on beach and pool chairs to reserve them and leave for hours at a time. If you come here, please be kind and take your stuff with you when you leave! The room itself was fairly muggy - I'd recommend leaving the AC on for as long as possible, otherwise the moisture will make your clothes smell a bit funky. There was also a piece of glass on the floor when we first came in and the balcony door was broken. However, the rooms are fine if you're just using them to sleep in at the end of the night and not spending your days there. Overall this was a great place to stay, even if the rooms were somewhat lacking.
