Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing staff

The hotel grounds were beautiful with the gardens, palm and coconut trees. The pathways require some work although walkable they are a safety concern. The food at the Italian, bbq grill and restaurant by ocean and Mediterranean were excellent. The staff go above and beyond to serve you. The ocean is the best beach and sand is amazing. The pools are beautiful and spacious. Plenty of lounge chairs. The rooms have been repainted but be prepared that they are not 5 star motel standards. Free int [... read more]ernet in lobby, buffet, bar, etc. They do not take Cuban pesos. The economy is bad. They want Canadian money or American money. You can tip in coins but they can’t use them so be prepared to exchange coins for bills during your trip. 5 loonies for $5. Covid protocol states that you must wear your mask when within 2.5 meters of others not in your group. In areas serving food as long as you are sitting at your table you don’t have to wear your mask. They serve all your food even at the buffet. When the housekeeping staff clean your room they wear they mask but you are not permitted to be in the room without wearing your mask. This is done for both your and their protection. We did a rapid Covid test the day before leaving. Cost is $25 US. The exchange rate is very high.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful Stay

Paradisus was a wonderful place to holiday . Although an older resort and taking into consideration of the last 2 years of Covid restrictions , our stay could not have been better . Staff, food, accommodation was all amazing . They are very conscious of Covid and have very good practices in place . We felt very safe . Will definitely return .

Melia Las Americas: Just as we expected

The hotel was as we expected. This was our fourth time and we like the facility and the golf. The Level does provide a little more convenience. My wife and son were with me and we had a suit which included a bed for my son in the living area. Overall it is what we expected. Food is typical of Cuba and lacks flavour. But we found it to be acceptable.

Melia Las Antillas: Great resort

Staff are phenomenal, the buildings a bit dated but very functional, food is we have to remember is Cuban but they really tried. Very few resorts offer all you can eat lobster at the Buffet Restaurant but this one did on 2 or 3 occasions. Because of Covid and the lack of guests, some of the amenities that we normally have here were limited, as restrictions lift more and more have become available. Enjoyed using the bicycles every morning, as well as the "Hop on and off" bus on the Varadero peninsula.

Melia Internacional: Amazing

Melia Internacional is a large resort with very friendly staff. Resort will not disappoint you. It is located right on the beautiful beach with beautiful pool as well. Beside buffet we tried Italian and TexMex meals were excellent. Buffet has a lot choices for anyones taste. Breakfast cook making omelet etc. is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Melia Las Dunas: Fantastic Resort

This resort was amazing. The main thing that makes this resort amazing is the Cuban workers who are so welcoming and helpful in every way. We’ve made so many good friends with the staff here and look forward to our next visit. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. The only complaint I had was that some rooms still have old mattresses which are not very comfortable. My room from a previous visit had a newer mattress that was very comfortable. The food is plentiful and there is lots of choice. The lobby is a great place to relax after meals… loved the rocking chairs! Evening entertainment was great as well. Very talented performers. Really loved the acrobatic show in the lobby. Definitely a 4 star hotel!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Awesome resort

The hotel and room was really good. No issues. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We made friends with quite a few staff there which was nice. The food was decent but I found that there wasn’t many options for breakfast, but all other meals were good.

Melia Las Dunas: Magnifique ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just came back from this heavenly place, and I would be ready to go back there next week 🥰 everything went very well, but you have to prepare a little more than usual. Follow the instructions of the travel agent carefully. Cubans are so friendly and helpful, have always been very well received at this Hotel. It is very well maintained with beautiful rooms. There were shows and entertainment even though the hotel was not full. Take at least one day out of your week to take an excursion or go to Caïbarien, the nearest village, and your trip will be unforgettable. we had good weather all week, temperature between 25/28 degrees Celsius. Paradisus Rio De Oro: We found our paradise!

Excellent resort, super clean and grounds well maintained. Love that there are no tall buildings and find it very quaint. The staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Best resort staff we have ever encountered.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good hotel

Comfortable hotel, everything is clean and tidy. The reception helped whis all questions I had. The ocean is beyond praise, clean and warm water of 25 degrees. The food in the restaurant is delicious, but every day is the same. In general, satisfied.

The staff are exceptional! Whether you booked Royal Service like we did or you used 'general' services... like we did... the staff and service are exceptional! COVID best practices are observed and you will feel safe! Currently having a few supply chain issues... but overall easy to adapt to!!! The grounds are immaculately! (The groundskeepers do their very best to mitigate guests...). If you wish to tip...and if you choose to use Loonies or Toonies... please take 'pristine Canadia [... read more]n bills' and offer to trade them for bills. Coins (such as our Loons & Toons) can't be exchanged in Cuba. AND Bills must be nearly new for locals to exchange. BTW: The staff will never let you know this. I got my info from an Ex-Pat and then confirmed it locally by a trusted person. I will book this location again!!

This hotel is beautiful with his mature foliage, the service is excellent, friendly, courteous and the food is of high quality. Due to covid the resort was about 25% full. We are considering returning for a third time.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beyond our expectations

We upgraded to the Royal Service and it was the best thing we have ever done. The service, food, drinks and attention to covid protocols were fantastic. Beach and Pools were relaxing and clean Our travel times were long, 11 hours going and 12 hours coming back so nervous flyers would not due well to travel during covid. Melia Las Americas: Great Resort - Highly recommend the Level

Hotel is great - we upgraded to the Level and were really glad we did. The bungalows were spacious and well maintained. Our housekeeper Barby did an exceptional job. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Limoncello - the al la Carte's were good as well. A little disappointed with the main buffet, didn't seem to have the same great selection as 2 years ago. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Healing Holiday

The management and staff at PRDO were so kind,attentive and cheerful during my stay from January 3-26, 2022. Our bungalow was so peaceful with beautiful views of the palm trees and distant mountains. I loved being able to watch the night sky from the outdoor shower. I enjoyed my daily walks on the grounds amongst the colourful flowers, banana and mango trees to the cool shady botanical garden. Beach walks and swimming/snorkeling in the beautiful emerald green waters was so therapeutic. Sol Varadero Beach: Fantastic time at Sol Varadero Beach

The rooms were very nice The beach was fantastic snd the pool was beautiful. The food was good for Cuba and the service was excellent. Works definitely recommend this hotel. The location was great and can walk to Varadero on the beach.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful Resort

This resort in Holguin was great. The food was amazing. I know a lot of people complain about the food in Cuba but this resort was great. The staff are wonderful and friendly. I cannot say enough. The rooms were wonderful and very clean The resort itself was amazing. I will definitely go back

Melia Cayo Coco: Sweetest, mist attentive staff ever!!!

We absolutely adored Melia Cayo Coco! Lovely pool! Nice restaurants! Good morning yoga/stretch! And very nice, clean rooms! The beach was great! The service was awesome! Quiet, peaceful relaxation at an adult's only resort was exactly what we were looking for. We also net a lot of really fun, friendly other tourists!

This hotel is amazing please. It is true paradise. It’s quite and full off beautiful gardens. Service is definitely 5 stars. I don’t understand when people say in Cuba there is no good food . I guess you are going to cheep wrong hotels because this one has fantastic food and world chef. We stay in Royal section but the also the regular part is amazing.
