Ocean El Faro: Wonderful Resort!

The resort exceeded all expectations especially for small children. Our grandkids loved the water park and lazy river. The adults were very impressed with the cuisine and drink selection in the lobby bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend the resort!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Sub par Royalton

Having been to many Royalton resorts,we were disappointed with the Bavaro. The beach was fantastic. The staff were great. The food was not good at the restaurants. The main buffet was not open for lunch. The management of this Royalton did nothing to enhance our stay. Could not even find a hair dryer after 4 days of requesting. The manager at the Prime Travelers Club was someone who the words I want to use would be inappropriate. We will never return to this particular Royalton.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Loved the resort and the workers but....

The resort was nice and would have been an amazing trip if norovirus was not spreading. A few of us from our trip got extremely sick including myself and my partner. I believe this was well known before we arrived and I think it should have been communicated. It put a damper on our trip and now being home and unable to work.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Superb location and facilities

The location is simply superb, the wide beach and the white sand, with perfect waves and excellent weather in early December. The resort is very nice as well, the room was large, with excellent furniture and bathroom fixtures. It has several a la carte restaurants and we did not have time to sample them all, but the ones we did were very good. Even the buffet restaurant was good, with plentiful and varied food, if quite bland. Beside the normal suite of liquors and spirits they do mix some cocktails, but we only sampled a few, reasonably good but again as expected. Service is ok, sometimes better, sometimes worse, it definitely matches the resonable price we paid. It was not crowded, we were able to find palapas free at any time of the day, if not in the first row. But the best seats were taken early and left with beach towels on them. Also annoying was the multitude of people trying to sell things, not only on the beach but also inside the resort. We booked a couple of day trips online before we arrived, and we were able to get a much better price than we saw locally. All in all a very nice all inclusive resort and week at the beach, well worth the price. There are though many other beautiful places to visit, so we probably will not return.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: It's ok!

It's an ok resort. Rooms need to be upgraded! Only 1 pool and its full of kids. So go to adults only if you don't want kids all around all the time! Beach is terrible! Lots of rocks I got a couple cuts walking in the water. Its not a beach that you can swim in. The water only came up to my waist and that was even after walking out past where they have the net. Make sure to wear watershoes. Food was just alright right. Staff was very friendly.

Ocean El Faro: Amazing resort and great people

Another great vacation at Ocean El Faro/El Beso. This was our second trip here and it was just as good if not better. The food was great and the drinks were equally as good. There is a great variety of restaurants, bars and pools to visit on the resort.I would definatley consider this resort if you are visiting the DR!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Perfect family resort

We were hesitating between Esmeralda or Fantasia and went with Esmeralda. This resort exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to bring our young family! Not only is the resort stunning but service is a high priority for them. We were asked multiple times during our week stay if we were enjoying the hotel and if they could accommodate us in any way. It was perfect!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Mother and Daughter Getaway

My daughter and I just returned from a week at Majestic Elegance Club section. This was my 6th visit to this amazing resort and my daughter's 2nd. I am already planning a return in February. We were blessed with Olbis Rijo as our butler and he was just amazing and a true sweetheart!! He found us every day to see if we needed anything. He made our dinner reservations, provided us with a bottle of Bailey's for our morning coffees and also provided us with aromatherapy in our room. We are not very  [... read more]needy but Olbis was always there for us when we did need him. This trip was meant for pure relaxation and that is just what we did. We spent every day on the beach and just chatted and drank and people watched. It was great to see the ladies at the Club bar on the Elle side. Maxima, Anjelina, and Santa as well as sweet Walliam. They were all amazing and remembered us from previous visits. Service was perfect and they always knew what we were drinking. There are so many others that were also amazing but the names are not coming to mind. The weather was perfect the entire week. It was VERY hot and there were a few brief showers lasting no longer than about 10 minutes. We went to the lower lobby bar every evening and were always greeted like family by Roberto, Miguel and Manny. They also remembered us from previous visits and treated us like family. We ate at the International once, and 3 visits to the steak house as well as the See & Sea and Flavours buffet. My daughter is a bit of a picky eater so chose not to attend the italian or Japanese. Regardless, everything we had was excellent and filling. We enjoyed this trip so much that we hope to make it an annual Mother and Daughter getaway. We have been to many other PC resorts and this has become our home. I have absolutely no desire to visit other resorts and we will continue to make our trips to Majestic Elegance Club as often as we can. It is heaven!!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Yes, a great place

We were 10 of us just came back. Very nice place with no shortage for anything. Plenty of food, drinks , right size crowd while there , clean rooms , no lineups and ample and friendly staff to cater. Restaurants were wonderful, snack bar was awesome, nothing to beat the coffee shop and Ice cream parlour. Beach and poolside events were well hosted by talented staff with prizes for every game. MJ show was better than the one in Vegas! Nightclub was fantastic. DJ was a blast. we were there every  [... read more]single night. Good beach and taken good care to clean out the weeds. Overall we were very pleased with the resort and how it is managed. Special mention Hilary and Ariel for superb customer experience!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great family vacation.

The beach was was clean and no waves. There were plenty of bedchairs on the beach. It was for the first time going to a resort south and we didn't have to go early in the morning to leave a towel on a chair. Amenities were nicely maintained. The buffet was great, good food selection. The check in was a bit longer, otherwise it was a great vacation.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Nice vacation!

We came here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The Catalonia Royal side is compact and thus has everything within short distance. Although the grounds were well maintained, the pools clean and the beach beautiful (efforts were made every morning to clean out the sargassum), the restaurants were great as well as the food and drinks, the rooms were below average for being called ‘privilege rooms’; old dates and with damage clearly visible in some of the furniture. Many thanks to Nisia for arranging us a better room and also for planning our dinner on our anniversary day.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Nothing to rave about

Well, this resort has potential but it doesn't live up to expectations. In my opinion, the construction itself was shoddy, may ceilings and walls have faults, and the bathroom didn't even have a shelf to put your toiletries. Many common areas are open only to club members and the one buffet restaurant is oppressively hot with no fans and no A/C. The rooms too did not have efficient A/C. Finally, some staff members are careless, so much so that on our third night there, the front desk actually re [... read more]assigned our room and we had a guest accidentally enter our room (gasp!). While we had an okay time there otherwise, we will not be returning, nor would we recommend. The only upside was the location and the beach- wonderful sandy beach not too far from the airport.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful resort

The grounds are pristine, the food and the service great! There are plenty of activities for everyone, the entertaintment varied each night, we really enjoyed a relaxing week in a luxury hotel, real 5 stars. Love it.

Riu Republica: Party Resort

Lovely looking, great buffet, AMAZING STAFF Nice room, beds are very firm! Wasn’t impressed with the 2 specialty restaurants we tried; steak house and Italian. The BEST was JERK CHICKEN! Beach was perfect and quieter place to relax during the day! Enjoyed the entertainment and once again the staff! LOUD, if you want a place to party with a lot of noise everywhere, including the hallways, this is for you! Suits the 20/30 ish crowd for sure!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Fantastic week

We had a swim out room with a suite. We have gone to about a dozen all inclusive resorts and this is the nicest room we have had. Good water pressure in the shower. Beach area was beautiful and clean. For those that want it (like me) there is ample shade at the beach and around the pools. Lots of variety at the buffet and great presentation. Snack bar by the beach was great. A la carte restaurants were good especially the steak house. Service was excellent as a whole but could have been a little better at the pool side. Overall, it was the nicest resort we have been to.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Deams Flora Resort and Spa is a beautiful clean property. The resort staff are exceptional and strive to make each guest have a great vacation. Not only do they provide great service but some feel like family during your stay. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: 10 Day Vacay

The hotel was excellent in layout, upkeep and service. The pool and beach facilities are top notch and well maintained. A couple things that need improvement are the evening entertainment….need more variety and 11pm ending is much too early for an adults only vacation resort….it seems like that is planned so that most will continue over to the Palace. The food was generally good but could have more spice and flavour added but overall was good.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Grand Palladium Punta Cana Stya

The people at the hotel were lovely. Great guest service we personally experienced. Our rooms were clean, I would say a lot of food options. Although the a la cartes book up pretty fast. All in all a great stay.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: PERFECTION

You truly get what you pay for here. Some may find the price expensive but I promise you it’s worth it. If you find “ a deal”, it’s because there’s a problem with the report, PERIOD. Secrets Tides is brand new, luxurious, clean and incredibly beautiful. ALL staff are absolutely genuine in every single interaction. I will return here because nothing else could compare. HIGHLY recommend a swim up suite.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: 10 pleasant days at a nice resort July 13 -23 - travelled as a couple

Genuinely friendly staff throughout this new resort which is located approx 30 minutes from the airport . Weather was hot and steamy with maybe 10 minutes of rain for our entire stay . Rooms were comfortable with plenty of storage space and ac worked fine .No towel game here , plenty of palapas and padded loungers on the beach and poolside with towels always available and an attentive wait staff who ensured we remained properly hydrated through the day. Entertainment on the adult side was sporadic and you were obliged to move to the family side for regular shows. Would I return - yes , any hotel where a bottle of rum in the gift shop is cheaper than the sunscreen is ok by me. Not related to the hotel stay but curiously no one in arrivals or departures from the DR showed the slightest interest in the scannable qr label which we were asked to provide when entering or leaving the country
