Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: beautiful resort

Had a great week staying at this resort !!! Great staff, beautiful beach and lots of delicious food. Rooms are clean and only steps from the ocean. Nightly entertainment and many fun activities daily. If you want to go into town for the day the resort offers a free shuttle to the lively Playa Del Carmen for lots of shopping and authentic Mexican cuisine. I will definitely be returning to this amazing resort :)

Allegro Cozumel: Perfection in Every way!!!

Not only is Cozumel our new favourite place to travel, but the Allegro is such a gem that we look forward to returning again and again! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and very happy!! He had gone to so much trouble to make sure I had the beach wedding of my dreams! The wedding I'd been telling him for years that I would love to have....if he ever decided to take step. Mirna and Monica were such a great help to Jeff in all the planning and preparation for our big day! It's overwhelming when I think of every little detail that was taken care of!! One of our dear friends was a huge help as well! Thanks to Andrea for helping Jeff whenever he had a question, concern, whatever the case was. The dinner on the beach was so beautiful!!! The wedding was even more beautiful! Every detail...every second...was PERFECTION!!! This was the first wedding in a while at the Allegro, and they did an amazing job!!! If anyone reading this is thinking of a destination wedding, you will not be disappointed!! As for the resort overall, there's nothing bad to say. I could go on and on about every wonderful thing at the resort, but let me sum up by saying that if anyone has any reservations about this resort, snap out of it! The entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure that the guests are happy!! The recent renovations were top notch! The most comfortable beds/pillows of any resort I've ever been to and we've been to several! The restaurants were beyond amazing!! Oriental, italian and Mexican were all so yummy!!! When I say "I'm sad that it's gone", that's a huge compliment to the chef!! I said that every time!! lol! My scale can confirm my love of the food we ate while we were there!! Again, i could go on, but I'm sure you know by now, this is a wonderful resort! It was our first time in Cozumel, and I know there are many more to choose from. My husband and I are very happy that we chose the Allegro Cozumel! :) :) :)

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Now Jade Resort

The Hotel (Now Jade) was very nice, friendly staff, helpful, quick to help you with anything you required. Pavilion nights: nobody bothered you trying to sell you what they may have in the booths. The shows offered were entertaining.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: quiet stay

we just got back from our restful holiday at Akumal Secrets. we could not say enough about this resort. the best beaches for snorkelling, saw; turtles,stingray, many small fish and not far off shore. the reef was so nice therefore no waves even on a windy day. the down part of this lovely beach is that it is public so there were snorkel tours from 9 a.m till 5 p.m and they sat right on the beach in front of you all day...with kids. the rooms were very nicely made up, jaccuzi large shower, toilet [... read more] room was interesting...no privacy...not sound proof if that bothers you!!! we had a swim up so very nice at the end of the day to just float outside your room. food was very good, no need for reservations except as the Asian one where they cook in front of you, even when we went into the Asian restaurant to just eat off the menu they offered us a place at the entertainment table because it was not full. speaking of which...the resort was VERY quiet, pools empty, restaurants empty,rooms empty...we could nor figure this out, maybe recession maybe the price. Because the resort is definitely a 5 star. I would highly recommend this place, very friendly staff. Just don't get sucked into their time share at check in. just say no....the coupon book isn't even worth the pitch. the resort is also over an hour from the airport but in the day its nice to see the landscape.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great family vacation!

Clean spacious rooms. Beautiful location. Gorgeous white sand beaches. Friendly and courteous staff. What more could you want?! Loved the cove with the coral reefs. Great opportunity for snorkeling right on the property. The pools with the dolphins was a nice plus for the kids.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Best staff ever

The NYX was lovely....at this time unfortunately hotel construction is occurring on properties on each side of it. The staff was wonderful front desk Vanya excellent, the beach severs Mauricio andYesina are outstanding our housekeeper was lovely and the bartenders great, servers Eduardo and Arturo exceptional. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!

My husband and I had a great time at this Riu Palace Resort. The grounds and rooms are spotless. The food is terrific! The friendly staff really make the resort extra special. We will be back next year for sure!

All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Great resort for the family with kids

We vacationed with 2 kids and everything was very enjoyable. The only thing that we didn't like were the room and especially the extra beds. The mattresses were too old and uncomfortable. The room itself was clean but in need of reno. However, it didn't matter much - we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

Riu Tequila: Unforgettable vacation!

I cannot say anything negative about this hotel. The food was very good. We only tried the steak house for a la cartes. We preferred to just go to the buffet. All of the staff were very friendly. Our favourite bartender was Ray at the bar outside of the sports bar. The entertainment staff worked so hard to get to know everyone. The pool is nice but very quiet with a few activities throughout the day. All in all it was the best resort I have ever visited. Would love to go back!!

NYX Hotel Cancun: Cancun Vacation @NYX Hotel

Over all the hotel was friendly desk personal spoke English no problem there often would not exchange larger bills for smaller ones said they had none was a bit of a problem especially trying to tip next our rooms very clean and maintained throughout our 10 stay. They were not as advertised SUITE ROOMS found on brochure no table or chairs in room no sofa several other amenities missing. El Cozumeleno Beach: Very nice place to spend a week

The resort itself was spotless. The employees were constantly cleaning and scrubbing everywhere. I found everyone very friendly from waiters, bartenders maids and even the gardeners and maintence staff. The bed was quite comfortable. We quite liked our room. The beach towel policy was bizarre. Towels had to be returned daily at 7pm for laundering. At other resorts, if they are dry, I don't exchange them, as I like to limit unnecessary laundering. The only thing that I found disappoint [... read more]ing was the food. We didn't make it to the single a la carte restaurant for supper, as we could not get inappropriately timed reservation. We did go there for breakfast but found we waited almost an hour for the food. We went at lunch too, and it was much better. The buffet restaurant was so repetitive, it was exhausting. Basically, fajitas were offered from the grill for lunch and dinner every day. The food in the buffet table was often cold. Coffee was very inconsistent, but mostly poor. Desserts were very unappealing, with a very limited selection. There was lovely fresh fruit and vegetables daily which we did enjoy. The sausages were delicious and my husband was pretty happy that there was bacon daily, albeit given in limited amounts. Some of the things I really enjoyed included snorkeling. Octopus, eels,stingrays pufferfish, peacock flounders, and filefish were some of the fish that I saw right in front of the hotel. Animation team - Spanish classes were terrific. Muchas gracias a mis profesores, Alexis, Angel y Diego excelentes. You guys made my week, mis amigos! Also I enjoyed the snorkelling tour and the water aerobics classes. The rock band, Karma https://m.facebook.com/karmacozumel/ and @karmacozumel was great fun. Of all the nightly entertainment shows we have seen at all-inclusive resorts, I enjoyed this the most. Very well done, especially how they picked songs that were appealing to so many age groups. Well done, Fernando, for getting these guys. On the day we were leaving, we were so excited to see dolphins swimming in front of the hotel. That was a lovely end to a fabulous week!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Time

The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. The rooms were updated and very nice, we had a penthouse suite and the view from the roof top was amazing. The staff were spectacular, friendly and very helpful. One of the best beaches I have been to with plenty of loungers, no need to get up super early to reserve unless you wanted a Prime spot, upfront on the beach. At all hours of the morning and afternoon there were plenty of empty spaces on the beach (and the resort was running at 98 perc [... read more]ent capacity) during our stay. Loved the Brazilian restaurant, we ate there twice, Mexican was good, Japanese was good but found the food a bit too salty for our tastes. Buffet always had something for everyone and we enjoyed eating there as well. The Grand kids loved the kiddie pool and the smaller infinity pools as well as the hammocks, they had a blast. I would definitely go back.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Amazing beach/resort

Suites were very nice, balcony overlooking pool and ocean. Beautiful, best part of day on balcony with coffee👌. A small band in the lounge daily for entertainment. Staff awesome, Vania on front desk, jimmy bellboy and wait staff. Very clean. We counted 33 steps from lounge to pool etc. Minutes from mall indoor market, very big. Never had to fight for chair lots. Great place to go not too big. A little quieter!🌴🍷

Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills: Amazing week at Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills

We’ve just returned from an amazing vacation at the Grand Sirenis Matlali Resort and Spa. The resort is absolutely fantastic and the people working there are amazing. Everyone is trying to help you and they are always asking if you need anything. There are a few concierges at the resort and they were always asking if everything is all right with the room, if we need towels or anything else. The bartenders at all the bars are always very attentive, they remember your name and what you are drink [... read more]ing and they are keeping your glasses full all the time (if that’s what you want). Now, I was reading some of the reviews and I can’t believe that we all went to the same resort, but I’ll address that a bit later in my review! When you get at the hotel it is a bit of a different type of lobby then what we’ve been used to, but I guess it does the job and the people working there are very fast and efficient. It is a small air conditioned room immediately after the gates, on the right side. After you check in, you and your luggage are taken to your room by a small van. Leaving the lobby, you are starting immediately to climb the hills, so if you can’t commit to some walking, this resort is not for you. We actually enjoyed it very much, especially because we wanted to walk. They have a gym and I can’t believe that people complain that it is too small, who needs a gym when you have these hills? I couldn’t believe that there are even some trails thru the resort! We usually like to walk on the beach, but because this hotel it is not directly on the beach, we took those hills up and down every day at least three-four times. We had a room in tower six (the last building in the resort up the hill) and we were very happy with our room. Of course, if you don’t want to walk all day like we did, the mini vans can take you there, you just have to go at the lobby and they’ll take you were you need to go. From the lobby, going up the hill the first buildings on the right side will be some of the time share villas that you can’t book on the internet and here is the area where you’ll find the main pool (that actually has two pools) and a bar. You’ll also find the original buffet and one restaurant that alternates as Steakhouse and Rodizio. Here, at the main pool, you can play volleyball and this is the place where you’ll find the few people from the animation team trying to get everyone involved in different activities. You’ll also find a warm Jacuzzi that seemed very popular even at the night time. The bar at this pool becomes the main attraction during the night because it is the only one open and here is where the bands are playing: mariachi, rock bands. They were actually all very good; we really liked them very much. And of course this is the place where they’ll have the karaoke nights. A little walk from the main bar going thru the basketball court, you’ll find another restaurant that it is buffet in the morning and at lunch time, and becomes the Italian during the night. Right under the Italian you’ll find the Japanese restaurant that offers two big Teppanyaki tables. These restaurants are the newest addition to the resort, together with tower 6 and the Snack bar. Next to the Japanese they are working to open another bar, but I think that there will be a few more weeks until that will happen. After you pass this area you’ll find in your way the relaxing pool and the health bar and this is a very nice area. Now you are starting to actually climb the hills, and the road it is not straight, you take lots of turns but this is what makes it so pretty and more interesting. From here on you’ll find the actual rooms, starting with the 4000 that are all villas with one, two or four rooms. After all of the villas, at the end of the hill you’ll find tower 5(the 5000 rooms) and tower 6(the 6000 rooms), which have five floors each. At the bottom of tower 6 you’ll find the adults only pool and three tubs, the bottom two were hot and the top one was a Jacuzzi. Here you’ll find the regular pool chairs and also some cabanas that have the mattress type of covers, so they were very comfortable. Right above the cabanas is the Snack Bar, a really great place to have lunch or a snack. From here you have the view of the whole resort and it is just a gorgeous view. We’ve tried a few items from the menu and we loved all of them! While being at Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills we have tried the Japanese, the Italian and the Steakhouse and we enjoyed them very much, so we went back to some of them. We didn’t try the Rodizio because we decided not to go there, so I can’t comment on that. All the other restaurants were amazing, they have lots of things to try and everything we had was very good. Regarding the reservations for the a la carte restaurants we’ve heard some complains, but I guess that people are just waiting for those reservations to fall in their lap. Yes, while being there they had some issues with the system and that is something that you can’t blame on the people telling you that the system is down, but that didn’t stop us to get our reservations. You can make them either with the concierge or at the lobby. When they’ve told us that we can’t make the reservations for Monday and the days after, we kept asking them each time we would pass by these two locations until they said that we can do the reservations now. So, because of just checking with them each time we would pass by, we ate at the a la carte every night. It was not like at other resorts where you have to line up every morning for that night reservation. Here, you could do reservations for 2 or 3 nights at one time, depending on what restaurant you wanted and the availability. We went to the beach club, but it wasn’t our “cup of tea”. We knew that we are not going to like the beach, but we wanted to see how it was, so we had a glass of wine and left when the minivan came back. If I would have one negative think to say is regarding the shuttle to the beach. This shuttle is supposed to take you to the beach every hour, so 10 minutes before one o’clock we were at the lobby waiting. After we asked the guys at the lobby about the shuttle, they said it will be there at one, but we’ve been waiting for half an hour and when we wanted to give up the van showed up. What bothered us was the fact that they were looking at us like we weren’t supposed to be there. So, if the hotel is trying to promote the Beach Club, they should at least respect the “promised” times for the shuttle, otherwise they should just not promote it. While being at this amazing resort, we accepted the invitation for the time share presentation. We’ve been to other resorts having the same type of thing, but the guys were too pushy so we never accepted any invitation, but now everything was very “civilized”, so we decided to go and see what is it all about. The suites were absolutely breathtaking and Orlando, the guy who did the presentation for us was really amazing, not pushy and taking the time to explain everything in detail, but after we saw and heard everything we realized that this concept it is not something that would work for us in this moment. I have to talk a bit about the fact that in some of the reviews people are complaining having stomach issues. I’m sorry but, if you are going to try all the cocktails on the bar menu you are going to be sick for sure. While being there we saw, like everywhere we went, people mixing beer with mojito, with Cesars and with any other cocktail available on the menu. My question is: are you doing that at home too? I bet that you are not doing that every day for one week at home! So, why do you want to do that somewhere else? First, you are not at home, everything that you and your body is used to is not the same, so why you want to try so many different things while you are outside your comfort zone? Of course you are going to get sick; it’s common sense, it is a normal reaction to all that stuff that you are mixing! Don’t blame the food or the water! In our room we had a 5 liter bottle of water and there were signs warning you not to drink the tap water. We were actually thinking of using the water to brush our teeth, but we didn’t do it and still we didn’t have any issues with our health. Of course, before going in any trip we take our probiotics and while being in our vacation we are always having our regular drinks and maybe we would try one or maximum two different drinks different from our regular stuff. I think that if everyone would be a bit moderate in their choices, people will have a much better time while being in vacation. Now l have to talk about the people working at this amazing resort! We’ve been to lots of resorts and we can say that compared to other resorts, here everyone worked really hard to please everybody. You would find them everywhere you would walk because at some point they get moved around, one week at one bar, the next week at a different bar. The ones that would work during the night in the specialty restaurants would come earlier and try to help in different bars to keep everyone happy. Chantal, Lena, Pablo, Felipe, Jesus, Jose, Reyes, Philip, Brian, just to mention a few names of the people that we talked to and we would like to thank them for all their hard work and for making us to feel like home.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Great vacation destination

The hotel is centrally located to shopping and restaurants/nightclubs and has a fantastic beach The hotel staff are all friendly and courteous We were at the resort two weeks and have nothing but positive things to say

Grand Oasis Riviera: So relaxing

We loved the resort! Great food options. We loved the coffee shop and sushi bar on the beach! The staff were very friendly and the resort was kept very clean. The ocean view room was beautiful! We came with our 1 1/2 year old and it was great. It's not a noisy resort so it's perfect for young families or people that want to relax more then party.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

The hotel was wonderful ..the food was great... the buffet was great ...We did wish that the buffet were open for all 3 meals. Sometimes when you are away you really do not feel like going to a fancy restaurant every night and it would have been nice to just relax and use the buffet. The beds are very high an while we did not really have a problem I wonder how vertically challenge folks get into the bed at night. There are plenty of lounges ...no real need to put out your towel to save a spot ...this is a good thing for late sleepers.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: 6 OUT OF 5 STARS

We have visited 6 very nice resorts previously in the Mayan... Secrets Maroma is the BEST of a very good lot! It was beautiful and first class... snow white beach, brilliant teal and vibrant blue ocean, beautiful grounds, pools, lots of space, great entertainment, fantastic food (repeat fantastic!) and amazing staff. Selection Riviera Cancun: Very nice resort but paid a lot less for the same experience

Room was clean and spacious. Food was great. Everyone was friendly however sometimes communication was an issue. Beach and pool is nice however access to the pool for those who have limited mobility was an issue (only one place that I have found). Had an experience with the kids club which left me with the feeling of uneasiness.

Riu Santa Fe: Worth a return trip

The main pool located infront of building 7 has spectacular views. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfast overlooking the ocean. Nice rooms, good food. Our second time at this RUI. Well worth a returned visit.
