Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Expected a bit more

The good. Grounds are very nice and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful for the most part. Rooms are large and well kept. Food was good but nothing outstanding. Bar selection as far as mixed drinks and liquor was very good on the Luxury side of the hotel. The not so good. Note: Dec 24th to Dec 31st. Resort was not full Waited at the airport for 1/2 hr at least after exiting the terminal. No sense of order or organization outside. Turned out we were just waiting for th [... read more]e bus to be moved from a parked position to the front of the terminal. A distance of less the 30 yards ???? The ride to the hotel from Montego Bay is a best 11/2 to 2 hrs and not the 45 minutes as advertised. This resort is approx15 min to Ocho Rios. No drinks or food on the bus. ( A couple Red Stripe or some cold water would have been nice). No washroom on the bus either. Most of this is tolerable, but does not indicate that I am in a 5 Star situation. One beer selection. Red stripe. This is a good beer, however a selection would not only be nice, but I think necessary. Tipping is essential at the resort to secure better service. Keep a bunch of singles handy if that is what your after. There are a few ala carte restaurants. The Brazilian steak house is not worth the time. Went once, not many people and I found out why ..... yuk. Apparently they have others, but for our week we could not go as they were booked up ?( remember resort is not full).... An Italian and a steak house. Couldn’t locate the steak house ?..... seemed to be a mystery ?????? As to it’s location. Had a few people ask if we knew where it was, couldn’t help them. Suggest trying to book the “ good “ restaurants before you go ???? I guess. The essential morning coffees seemed a big challenge in the beach restaurant. It was necessary to ask for it and it was slow coming to the table if at all. Usually we finished breakfast before we received our first cup. A small issue I guess, but my group starts the day with coffee. I would think a 5 star resort could manage this simple long standing ritual with out constant reminder. The beach is large, but man made. The main buffet restaurant was much better for overall service. This Hotel has plans to expand with an additional 1000 rooms being added. Hope they add enough restaurant options !!!! I have paid less for a lot more than this resort offered

Royal Decameron Cornwall Beach Resort is very welcoming, accommodating, and wheel chair accessible. All rooms with balconies are in an awesome location viewing the gorgeous turquoise with various blue colour hue shaded waters of the Caribbean Sea. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort!

The resort was spotless, the food was delicious and always available. The bartenders were very friendly and efficient. The only negative thing to say is that the butler service was non-existent. We can’t wait to go back!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: A beautiful sunny vacation

Jamaica was a destination that I had wished to visit for years... Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations!!! :( Montego Bay has little to no beach... Unfortunately, I hadn't looked into this more in depth as I assumed there were nice beaches everywhere.. my bad. The rooms were beautiful and freshly renovated. The multiple a la carte restaurant looked wonderful but were really a struggle to get into.. Some had the privilege to have prebooked their meals, others weren't as lucky and h [... read more]ad to wait in line, sometimes for up to 2 hours.. Was not really fun with young children therefore we ended up spending lots of time in the buffet which had the same thing every day but was a mix of a bunch of different things. My child loved the waterpark but I really believe that there should have been more supervision from the lifeguards who spent their time looking around and chatting with each other. I therefore spent most of my time seated by the pool watching my child play. The evening shows were amazing!!!! Very talented staff dancing, gymnastics and singing!! A BIG WOW to the evening entertainment team!!! In conclusion, happy that I made it out to Jamaica, but will definitely hit a different destination next time!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: What a happy ending!

We were headed to Dominican On Christmas Day, however, on Christmas Eve we received a brief email from Canabay Resorts informing us that the flights we had booked in May were unconfirmed. We were frantic but couldn’t reach anyone until Boxing Day. After contacting Jairus at Tripcentral we found a room was available at Grand Palladium Jamaica. What a fantastic resort. Riu Ocho Rios: Nice resort

The hotel and facilities are very nice, we had a family room with 5 people and the only negative with the room is single bathroom and shower. Food was very tasty and many options in the buffet. The Al A Carte restaurants have great food but poor management in terms of booking a reservation because it is first come first serve so be there at least half hour before it opens or be on a waiting list for second seating. Also house wine is not very nice if you enjoy wines and no options to purchase pr [... read more]emium wine. Evenings can be a little boring because they close pools at 6pm and evening entertainment was limited and sometimes bad, like kareoke. They could improve on evening entertainment. Staff were very friendly. They do not have an ATM on site and cannot give you cash from credit card so bring enough cash if needed. They will exchange common currency into Jamaican currency.

Riu Negril: Amazing resort

all areas well maintained , our rooms were well looked after and the food was great we never were without , met a lot of other great people , the staff was most curtious and accommodating , We would recommend to all our friends , and make a return trip

Riu Negril: Amazing vacation spot

We stayed at the Riu Club over the Christmas break. We had perfect weather and a memorable trip/stay. Room: well maintained and cleaned daily. When we requested something we needed it was delivered. Food: excellent. We had buffet everyday, food was plentiful and never cold (if it was supposed to be hot). The jerk-chicken on the beach during lunch time was delicious. Entertainment: terrific entertainment staff, the evening programs were enjoyable; Beach Party and Dancers were my favourite evenings. Beach: was cleaned every morning and ready to use for the guests. Within the water it was muddy (not sandy) which made it murky. Everyday we walked the Bay and the beach water by the other resorts was much cleaner and wasn’t as muddy. The water was always warm and refreshing though. We still went in the beach water everyday in front of the Riu Club, no problems. There are sting rays, fish, sea stars, and sea urchins there which was amazing to see so close to the shore. Bar Service: friendly, we tipped but didn’t feel an obligation to do so. Excursion 1: Sunset Catarman to Ricks Cafe (Sunwing) amazing. We spent time at Seven Mile beach at Margaritaville before getting on the cat., we enjoyed the wait with the white sand. Our first stop was snorkelling, where we saw fish and coral. After we cruised to Ricks Cafe. We didn’t jump off the cliffs, but many did. The atmosphere there was pumping with a DJ spinning tunes and people dancing. The cruise back was awesome, lots of dancing and music blaring from the DJ on board. Excursion 2 (Tropial Tours): YS Falls, Black River Safari, and Appleton Estate. The tour guide, Karen, was informative teaching us about the history of Jamaica. All three stops were amazing and memorable. First stopped at Appleton, your guide thoroughly explained the process with tasting throughout, and then taste of three types of Rum at the end. Ate lunch at YS before heading up to the falls. A guide escorted my husband and I only through the falls, he took our camera and took pics and we navigated our way up to the top of the cascading falls, so awesome! The tour guide at Black River was fantastic and witty, he kept us laughing as we toured through the river. We saw many different crocs. We are going back tomorrow, haha! No we will be returning in the future.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Relaxing and beautiful

We were in much need of some R &R. Paradise Cove gave us the luxury of chilling by the beach, snorkeling and other various water sports as well as off resort excursions. The menu changed daily with delicious selections. We found it clean and well kept with courteous staff there to help when needed. Highly recommend this resort if you are looking to chill. They have a pool table, ping pong and life size connect four game for down time moments too! The spa was wonderful! Thanks Althea! Riu Negril: Amazing resort

I would definitely recommend this resort. The staff was fantastic especially the entertainment group. Food was very good and lots of it. I would suggest you take water shoes if you plan on spending time at the beach. Sandals Montego Bay: Simply Excellent!

Loved every moment of our vacation. Resort was awesome. Staff were attentive and went above and beyond often anticipating our wants before we asked, Food was fabulous. Location was great. We will return again.

Sandals Dunn's River: Best Time EVER!!!

We were fortunate enough to spend 10 days at Jewel Dunn's River Resort. We loved everything about it! The food was good, the hotel was very clean, the staff were so incredibly friendly, the drinks were cold and it was close to some fun attractions. But, the best part was the incredible views this resort offers (ocean on one side and mountains on the other)! We enjoyed a couples massage and the massage therapists were amazing!!! Wish we could go every week! We were very glad we stayed for 1 [... read more]0 days and are ready to go back now! We will certainly be back! Club Ambiance: Over priced

It was very clean, the staff, amazing, food was basically the same, however, it was local which was nice. The hotel is, 60's era. One day of hot water in room but the jacuzzi was very hot, pool and grounds where well kept. Is very central to sight seeing. Very relaxing and quite. I would go again.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Fantastic resort and Staff

Really a nice place. The rooms were spacious. Lots of cove beaches and activities. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was amazing with lots of variety in the buffets as well as the 7 or 8 a la carte restaurants.

Couples Sans Souci: Beautiful resort

Resort was beautiful, and the staff was amazing. Good food, beautiful surroundings and great food. My only complaint is the tipping policy- the resort claims to have a strict no tipping policy, however in certain situations the staff seems to expect a tip. I have no problem with tipping, but being unsure whether to rip or not was a bit uncomfortable

Secrets Wild Orchid: Amazing Christmas Vacation

Our stay at Secrets Wild Orchid was amazing. Great amenities, rooms, food, drinks, and most important - staff!!! We stayed in the preferred club, and it was worth the upgrade if you like it a little quiet. Hats off to Matthieu at the Preferred Club for kicking off our days with his positive energy and input on things to do around the resort, didn't have to look at the info board once after talking with him. Rican at the Pool Bar was hands down the best bartender I have ever come across,  [... read more]his upbeat attitude was infectious, not to mention he made a damn good drink, no matter what you thru at him. Oh, and can't forget about the Jerk Chicken cart - his visits mid afternoon and midnight were highly sought after during our stay. Will definitely be heading back to SWO within the next couple years after we check a few more destinations off our list.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Great vacation

Lots of great dining options and top shelf booze available. Grounds were plentiful, well manicured and had many great pools to relax around. Butler service was impeccable. Rooms have not been updated but they are clean and in good working order. Service could be very slow at times and we did experience hot water issues in room. Maid service inconsistent. Overall- a great option to experience Sandals on a lesser budget.

Dreams Rose Hall: Worth every penny!

A group of 10 of us vacationed at this resort and had an amazing time. With a mix of adults, kids and babies, there was something for everyone and we truly all had the best time. The service, food and overall resort was impeccable! My husband and I’s last trip was our honeymoon at a Sandals and we can honestly say that the service and food at the Hilton was at par!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort

Friendly staff. Great food entertainment very clean and alacart was delicious. We stayed for seven days early December 2019. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. The fish fry and jerk hut was very good.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Recommended!

The food was fantastic; spacious, clean room with huge and comfortable bed; great live reggae music. Amazing ocean front view! The elevators and hallways really need more airflow. The service was very good, friendly and positive with the exception of two people of the many we dealt with- it’s unfortunate that two grumpy/attitudinal people can impact the day/stay so much. Great water park area for kids.
