Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Relax and Unwind

This is and will remain one of my most favorite places to stay. Akumal is beautiful and this resort is the perfect spot if your not looking for the hustle and bustle of the larger chains. No disco, none of those shows just pure beauty, friendly amazing staff, great food and the most beautiful grounds. Thisnisna mature resort. We encountered a lot of sargassum on our trip but you can't control what the tide brings in. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent at pricepoint

Staff is exceptional. Food, recognizing individual tastes, is varied and very good both at a la cartes and buffets. Making a la carte reservations can be an issue but customer services can usually find a reasonable solution. Pools are well cared for but beach area requires care in most areas of entry. Never an issue to find a lounger at the beach, while shade at pools may pose an issue at peak times. We find the loungers quite uncomfortable after a short period of time, but not enough to deter 6 [... read more] - 8 hours of lounging every day. Overall there are minor criticisms, but at usual price points, the value received is exceptional.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Tarascio family

Well the room fir privilege was ok not many amenities for members was expecting more. The closet doors are stiff and hard to open. The room needs renovating tiles in shower fall8ng apart. The shower was small and expecting a bigger one. More lighting in room. The light fixtures on the was and front hall way were not working. This last visit was our 15th time returning so VIP Member should of been granted.

Riu Palace Peninsula: GREAT VACATION

The Hotel hasn't lost it touch. I was absent from this hotel for some 20 years and found it to be in great shape. There was a good choice of restaurants to choose from aside from the buffet. Staying at the Private Villa section, I was able to experience The Kulinarium Restaurant witch was absolutely fabulous from a food a service perspective.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Good hotel but very large, prefer smaller one next time

Check in could be better organized, as it did not have enough staff on. Grounds were lovely, one pool was not accessible for someone with limitations & other pool was too noisy. Fortunately we had a swim up which suited us perfectly & very quiet. Buffet had a great choice of food, but preferred a regular restaurant & have a choice of menu which we went to. Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

Nice clean spacious lobby and nice bar, the room nice and clean everything functional well kept, food delicious everywhere and good selection . Waiters very attentive good hospitality thank you Georges manuel Ulisse and many more you were great and made our 40th wedding anniversary so much nice

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Meh

The beach was good. Be careful if there are big waves. The pool was ok but we are ocean goers. The service on the beach was very good “thank you Willian”. There is only the lobby bar after 8:00 pm and the entertainment is in the lobby. The buffet was good and had lots of selections. The al a carts were varied, both types and quality of food preparation. The Mexican was excellent of course. The Italian was ok. The French was awful and the chefs there should be ashamed. Overall we were satisfied with our week stay but would probably stay elsewhere when we return to PV.

Riu Latino: Clean, modern, great value!

Located on a picturesque beach in the Costa Mujeres area, this resort is clean, modern, and it offers many activities. They had a lot of variety of food offered at several restaurants. They had several pools to choose from. They had many lounge chairs available. Great value for the money!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great resort

Great property, something for everyone. Very clean, great food options, both alacarte and buffet. Beach ok snorkeling, some sections rocky, good friendly service. Average all inclusive entertainment. Transfers good

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Good and relaxing resort

Very clean all around (4.75) Food was ok (4) Beach it's beautiful (4.2) Steak restaurant (3.5) Japanese (3.5) Drinks, bar service and beach service (4.5) Food by the pool (4) Buffet (4) Entertainment (4) Cappuccino and bar area (4.25) I enjoyed my stayed but I will never go back . It's definitely a 4 stars resort at best

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Pros & Cons

Martine Reid No beach but an abundance of beautiful pools. The only con: one worth noting-is the lack of a diversified menu. There were several restaurants, but the selection was limited. The food wasn’t bad, except for the Italian food. The pros are many: Excellent staff, exceptionally clean and modern rooms. If food is not your prime concern, this is a worthwhile space.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing Resort

This is the 2nd time we came to this resort. The experience was even better. Love the resort! Food at a la cart restaurant was amazing, lots of activities you can do in the resort, beach was beautiful and you can swim with sea turtles!

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort

We loved everything about this resort. We will recommend for everyone because clean resort with very friendly staff and great variety everyday at the buffet,the room always clean and well maintained ,we did enjoy the Japanese restaurant

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Mediocre resort

This resort was not a 4.5 star resort. A major part of the resort is under renovation and you mainly have to rely on the trolleys to get around the resort. The rooms are dated but are clean and the staff is nice and tries to resolve issues when they arise. The dinner buffet food and nighttime entertainment are subpar. The breakfast and lunch buffet were good. It was nice to be able to go to the other Bahía resorts and a la carte restaurants. The food at the a la carte restaurants was great. Howe [... read more]ver, the availability at the a la carte restaurants was limited and we were unable to book any for almost half of our stay. The steps in the pools are slippery and there is no traction to prevent slips. The beach is rocky and not as nice as other beaches in Mexico.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Top notch Hotel

Hotel was amazing! Clean, large and luxurious. So many great food options. Family loved the fun water slides Staff were so friendly and service couldn't be better. Just couldn't swim in the ocean because of the dangerous undertow but the hotel made up for it with everything else. Thanks to Margaret from Hamilton for her help to recommend and help book this hotel for myself and my family. We had a great experience!

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Mike N

Grand Palladium is a great resort. The rooms are clean and food is great. I had a wonderful time of my life while at this resort. I will highly recommend it to any one who wants to visit Mexico !! The people are very friendly and always ready to assist you when help is needed.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Blue Bay

Overall our stay was amazing could’ve been better. The staff the cleaning people were amazing but the people at the front desk need a little bit more communication I know how to deal with the customers. The beach restaurant was amazing. The bar at the beach was amazing.

Viva Maya by Wyndham: Staff were amazing

Food was excellent. Good vibe and good atmosphere. I had so much tequila and the La carte dinners were good. The front desk could be more friendly. But overall we had amazing vacation at Viva Maya. There was a lot of sea weed when we went but is it expected at this time of the yrar

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Lovely vacation and resort

We stayed (Mom, Dad and 10yr old) at the Barcelo Maya Grand Caribe last week and had a fantastic time.While we encountered a few annoyances, overall the stay was fantastic and we woud definitely recommend this resort. The grounds are beautiful, lush and well maintained. The ameneties are bountiful, the beach and ocean are lovely, the food is really good and the staff overall are super friendly and responsive. Coming from Canada, in summer, we did not bring closed toe shoes. Sandals ll the  [... read more]way! This proved to be an issue because although the gym is huge, well appointed, the staff would not let me train on a matt with weights or a kettle bell without closed shoes. They let my hsband do so and their sign only says closed toe shoes recommended, but I was spoken to slightly rudely and dismissed. Dissapointing. Shoes were also an issue at the restaurants (other than buffet). We were told that men must wear closed toe shoes (but not women), and were turned away at 2 out of 4 reservations. We were obviously annoyed because people wearing shorts, t-shirts, crocks and what looked like pyjama pants were allowed in. We asked why and were given no reason, just shrugs. Boo. Our toilet kept blocking and our shower was super slow to drain, leaving us in several inches of water by the end of a shower. We contacted the front desk that told us the issue woud be resolved soon. The toilet issue was fixed a few hours later but the shower never got better. Oh well. Staff did gift us free passes to the water slides/surfing wave, which was nice.We had a great day there. Do note that many amenities carry extra charges, but that is totally undertandable. Utimately, attitude is everything and there were many more positives than negatives, so we were happy in the beautiful Mexican sun and sleeping in super comfy beds.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: 10/10 holiday

Grounds are amazing. Tons of activities for kids. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The food was excellent all week with great variety. Zen Teppanyaki and MA Maison were our favorites. The gym and free fitness classes are super. I lived sunrise yoga. You can take out kayaks, paddle boards and hobie cats. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. I highly recommend Royalton Splash.
