Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great resort

We have been to Mexico many times, and this resort will remain one of our favourites. It is a quiet resort without a disco! We were able to sleep through the night. The layout of the grounds is perfect for those with mobility issues. The staff were efficient and friendly. No reservations were required for the a la carte restaurants. The seafood and cheese was especially delicious. Sadly the seaweed wreaks the view, but they do their best to clean it up. Playa Vista Azul: Clean environment

The environment is quiet,clean and good services.Food at ala Carte specially in Marina is good,and fast service .Bluemoon ala carte is too slow . Buffet is good,lot of choices and very fresh and tasty shrimp. Lobster lunch is the best. Definitely the group will come back in this resort.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Amazing resort

1- Telephone did not work for a week I was there they said due to Storm, but I am handicap and how to call the bell boy to drive me , non of the places except the front desk. 1- Tons of MOSQUITOS did not spay by the lobby 1- Buffet lots of COCKROACHES on the chairs and VERY VERY HOT no AC or Fans 1- BESIDES THE RESORT IS AMAZING AND ALSO THE EMPLOYEES WHERE VERY NICE TO US AND ALSO OUR HOUSE KEEPERS WAS AMAZING # 5113

Ocean Maya Royale: Very Nice experience

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very good service and amenities. Helpful staff and fun filled experience. I would love to visit again and recommend it for anyone. Nice restaurants offering different cuisine options.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort with friendly staff

Hotel beautifully maintained and cared for. Love the smaller size and quick access to the ocean . Staff friendly and very efficient. They upgraded us to a king suite which was huge , clean and quiet . I definitely would come back!

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing Resort

My husband and I visited Ocean Vista Azul. Ocean Vista Azul is a beautiful property on a cliff looking over the ocean. The everyone on the resort are super nice. We met wonderful people and enjoyed our time.The food was not bad as well. It was my first time in Cuba and we will definitely be back!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: TRULY PARADISE

I am a traveler but this resort is like none other in the world. My boyfriend and I stayed for 7 nights to celebrate my 30th birthday in June and everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure I felt special. From the amazing interactions with wild animals to the most attentive staff, this resort makes sure your ever vacation desire is met! Well done and thank you for the amazing memories. We will be back again :)

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Total paradise

My favorite part of this hotel was the amount of pools! It was perfect t if you wanted to relax or be in a party mode or if you had kids, they had a pool for that too. The food selection was great! Something for everyone. Many restaurants to choose from.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Don't go there!

The hotel was good but not the service; I had to ask everyday for fresh towels which took more than 2 hours to get! And rooms were being clean on demand only with the same sheets placed correctly. There was vomit in the bar pool for two days, no one took the time to clean it. In the buffet staff were taking food for themselves first instead font servicing us. They were always after us for tips , and asking directly if you wouldn't give. People there if it wasn't I theirs interest (commission) they wouldn't help you. Over all I wish I never went there. Please chose a better place!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing resort

This resort was one of the best resorts i've stayed at. I found the room and the resort itself very clean. All the workers were very nice and friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Food was great, i found the portions small at some of the a la cartes but it still tasted amazing. I loved that their was a coffee and ice cream shop at the resort as well. I would definitely return to this resort.

Playa Vista Azul: Great resort

One of my favorite resorts in Cuba. Beautiful beach, infinity pool and location of resort. (loved the cliffs) The food in the buffet was great, I was surprised because Cuba is not known for great food at resorts. The staff were friendly, helpful and very entertaining. Our room didn't have a great view but we weren't in it that often to care. The shower was leaky (floors were so wet) and the water temperature was either too hot or too cold. The conditioner in our room was not working wel [... read more]l, after the 3rd day it didn't cool to the preferred temperature and was 26 and even 28 degrees in the room at times. We asked to fix it and they did, but the problem started again after a day and we gave up. The drinks at the bars were decent but sometimes the drinks were not sweet enough or too strong or too weak, it was always different. But overall, we had a great time and would come back to this resort again and maybe get the better view room.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: nice resort

It was a nice resort, people were nice. The italian and sushi restaurant were delicious and liked the fact that we had wifi available 24/7. Did not like from the moment we stepped into the hotel there were people trying to sell us time shares and excursions.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Stay Away In The Off Season

This hotel had great reviews up until our trip. We just got back after a week at the Ocean Casa Del Mar on June 16. Yes its Cuba and the food is not expected to be over the top, but this was beyond terrible. You could tell the food was reused and never changed. What you saw at breakfast was what you saw for lunch and dinner minus the eggs. The only good thing is that they had some fresh stuff they made in front of you such as pasta and rice. Upon arrival at 9:45pm we checked into our room. We [... read more] quickly found multiple dead bugs, stains all over the bed, and a squished dead cockroach on our pillow. We went to the front desk and they sent us to our second room. The second room we were put into had a toilet that splashed you like a bidet, and a sink that had a clogged drain. Our third room we were moved to was already occupied by other but we were still given a key to there room. (This happened to multiple people). They were limited on rooms because half of the resort is shut down forcing everyone into a few buildings. We were given key cards to a privilege room for our fourth room. We walked in to discover stain everywhere, an empty mini bar fridge and a very small tub. Please do not pay for the upgrade. We finally settled for a dirty room as it was about 1am and we were exhausted. The maintenance is terrible in the off season. The worst part about this trip was finding out my phone was stolen right out of our room. Brand new iPhone taken. Police were called in security everyone and all they did was ask the maid if she had it. End of that story. Spent a whole day with the police who ended up leaving. We lost about 3 days from room running around to filling out reports for the phone and interviews. The positives to the trip: The staff that work there are great aside from whichever one stole my phone. Hector and his partner at the buffet make dining a great experience. Sit with them if possible. Dani from the pool side snack bar was amazing. Greeted you with a handshake daily. Mikes coffee like all other reviews blows Tim Horton's out of the water. Get the frozen cappuccinos. The towel guys offer exceptional service, funny to talk to and always willing to help. They looked for my phone more than the security team did. FYI the mosquitoes at this time of year are terrible. Never seen anything like it. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray if you plan on travelling here. All in all I would not recommend this resort nor would I ever return there. Especially in the off season.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful and it has EVERYTHING!!

The guest services staff was amazing, kind and always had a smile. The entire time we commented on how hardworking and enthusiastic the staff was at every turn (from check in, bar staff, the entertainment staff to the cleaning staff and food services). Each building (Daisy, Eden, El Beso, Privelage) made it feel like their own resorts with the purposely placed landscaping. The al a carte food was perfect for the style of each restaurant. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Excellent Family Vacation!

We stayed at this resort from June 3-10. After reading the reviews before we went I was a bit worried but it turned out to be an excellent vacation! You have to be extremely picky not to like this resort. It was absolutely amazing. We traveled as a family of 4, with 2 children, ages 5 and 2. We were in the Daisy building facing the pool. The room was large and clean. The only issue we had was the water in the shower would go from warm to hot out of nowhere so we had to keep adjusting it d [... read more]uring our shower. No big deal, although some people would think so! The mini bar was filled daily with beer, pop, water, milkshakes, Oreos and M&M’s. The resort has 5 pools. One at each building. We spent most of our time at the Daisy pool as it was closest to our room. My only suggestion, is that they keep the swim up bar open later than 4:30pm. The entertainment at the Daisy pool was almost non-existent. They only had something for the kids one day. They should look into having more entertainment at that pool. I know they do a lot at the adults only pool and Eden pool. I also missed the music at the Daisy pool, it would have been nice to have music playing. The food was excellent. We went to the buffet every morning. There was plenty to choose from, our favourites were the made to order omelettes, fresh donuts and fresh fruit. For lunch we usually got food from the small restaurant by the Daisy pool, which consisted of hotdogs, burgers, fries, etc. For dinner we tried the Mexican, Steakhouse, Italian and Japanese. The Italian and Steakhouse were our favourites. I would skip the Mexican restaurant next time. The Japanese was just ok but the show they put on was good. Overall the food was great but the service was a little slow at times but nothing to complain about. No one got sick from the food and my children who are very picky eaters, always ate. Big plus! The coffee shop and ice cream parlour were great! We enjoyed them every night after dinner. As far as the beach, yes, there’s seaweed everywhere but it didn’t bother us as we’re not beach people. Although we loved the pool at the beach, the view was awesome. The entertainment at night was really good. We only made it to a couple of shows because they do start late and when you have small kids it’s hard to attend. We left early both times but the shows were fantastic. The bowling alley was a nice touch as well but we only went once. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort

Resort was great. Lots of areas to swim including an adults only area. The Kids water park was good too. The food was pretty good ...not the best I’ve had in Mexico but wasn’t bad. Steakhouse, Italian and teppanyaki was the best. A few cons: beach was bad, smelled awful. Pools made up for it though. It rained constantly for a few days and our room didn’t have an umbrella— good luck getting one from guest services or the front desk. Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Hygiene problem

The absolute worst experience . The place is a dump. Food awful, service awful , hygiene of entire resort everything from dirty pool to rooms to well everything. Everyone got sick and total waste of money. Don't believe any positive reviews .

The hotel was, well, "meh". Grounds were nice. Food was what you would expect in Cuba. Tons of mosquito's, for which they did not spray (and should have). Roaches in rooms. Some staff were nice, most were completely indifferent to your staying there. Overall, a very bland place. Cuba has also changed. The scam which they call the CUC, a non existent currency intended to gauge tourists, is, believe it or not, valued even higher than the USD. lol. Soooooo, you're getting $.70 on the CDN dollar [... read more]!!! HA. A cab ride from Varadero to Havana was $160CUC!. Cuba has become just as, if not more expensive, than many other South destination. Coupled with rude, indifferent people, constantly trying to hammer out every dollar you have, I will never return. Playa Vista Azul: Good Hotel

This was a good hotel with plenty of positives Was upgraded to an ocean view ( just amazing ) food was good not the best ive had for Cuba but always found something to eat.Drinks were hit or miss ....service was good also with very little exemptions .....grounds were really well kept ..ocean was good beach was ok on the long beach but very small on the other side like 8 pallapas only..Front desk needs to smile a bit more but was effective with service.

Playa Vista Azul: Won't return

there is a very small rocky beach with not enough shades. Rooms are OK.Food is just average and some staff not very nice. I WILL NOT RETURN .They not clean beach .empty cups and cigarettes buts everywere on the beach
