Melia Las Dunas: Great vacation

We traveled to the las dunas from Dec 26-Jan2 . We had been to the resort in March and noticed some changes. The food seemed better. The blue train that was free to take you to and from the markets no longer runs . Service is excellent. Towels were a issue for some people... sometimes they had clean towels sometimes they were out... NOT a big deal. Other than that it was a fantastic vacation with something to do in the lobby everynight. New years buffet feast was unbelievable!! We will be back

Paradisus Los Cayos: Best Seven Days Ever

The service was fantastic, the people were super friendly, and the food was amazing. Add white sand, warm sun, the ocean and beautiful scenery, who could ask for anything more. So much to see and do, so many places to explore. Can't wait to go back

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: food management

facilities, beach, entertainment, were all okay, food ,management was a disaster, the 2 buffet tables were with in 8 feet of the hot food dispensing counter so there was a constant problem moving around the tables with the lines for hot food, the dining room was large but the service area was squeezed into one corner, 5 our of 6 days there were no eggs on the breakfast buffet, on 2 occasions i asked for eggs and got on one day tray of scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, the next day only boiled eggs [... read more]. but they had large bowls of red and green maraschino cherries, the snack bar ran out of ketchup on the 3rd day and on leaving we went at 515 to the open snack bar but they had not eggs only chicken or fish, so we went to the other snack bar for sandwiches but of course they had none so we had no breakfast that day. lunch and dinner usually had one meat dish and 4 to 5 fish dishes in the buffet, hard papaya, pale pink guava, mostly green tomatoes , etc. We have been to 9 resorts in Cuba and for sure will not return to this one, the one a few doors down, Starfish at 3 stars was much better

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Budget hotel

This place is hit or miss. We had some good days and some bad. Its probably ok for families but I dont recommend for an adults only experience. All the fruit and vegetables were canned. The adults only area is nice but not enforced, a few times I saw drunk teenagers passed out by the pool and others who paid less but still got to enjoy the adult pool. The a la carte restaurants were the only good food we had. Spa is fantastic.

Melia Las Dunas: beautiful resort

beautiful resort... almost 2 hour from santa clara airport by bus ... entertainment team was great ..there is lots of option for people who eat pork or beaf...in international buffet.....beach was awesome and relaxing ..I suggest if u wan to book ...ur trip ...pls book by sunday ...bcos I feel resort service and entertainment start with new energy from beginning of week to first 5 days .....and very important dont forget ur beer mug ......most of time they serve beer in small plastic glass .. [... read more].and u have to wait for refill.... at lobby bar ..and also beach bar that little distance from ur sitting place .....

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Great Resort

Great hotel facilities. Staff was very friendly and worked very hard to make it a pleasurable vacation. Rooms were spacious and clean. Dining experience was good. There was a good variety of buffet options.

Starfish Tropical Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort

My family and I ventured to this resort during the for Christmas break and I have to say I was very impressed! The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. One of the best beaches around. We have three small children and all of them had a great time. Thanks again Starfish for your hospitality and service. We will definitely be back again!

Roc Lagunas del Mar: nice resort

Nice resort with good service and a great landscape. Keep eyes on your belongings. My hat was stolen at a pool, the hat that went with me on vacations for the last 20 years. Now it is gone. (Last year my cellphone was stolen at Memories Caribe) The day the hat was stolen I gave 10 CUCs for tips. After the hat was stolen i stopped giving tips saving money for the new hat.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Not bad

There are many positives to Sanctuary at Grand Memories. Adults only, beautiful beach, friendly service, beautiful grounds. Clean rooms, live music, great drinks! Some room for improvement. Public washrooms were dirty or out of soap and paper. Towel exchange not enough available. Supper buffet at Grand, very loud and the food was average. For the price I’d consider going back for the positives.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Coral Iberostar Ensenachos

Amazing rooms,grounds and beach. The service was exceptional! This was our first time at the Coral Level and we will certainly be back. No problems with food...always hot and presentation was appreciated. No issues finding beach chairs or a place at the pool. The staff went out of there way on numerous occasions to make our stay memorable. Looking forward to our next vacation at this resort!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: A 4 Star Resort with some work to do.

If you spend less than 1000 dollars for 1 week away then this is a great value resort. The drinks were tasty and food was of decent quality (Nobody in my party got sick!). By far the best part of the resort was the beach, it was what you'd expect to see on a postcard with turquoise water and white sands. The public bathrooms are in need of some refreshing (which they've started and look really great) and the infrastructure would be good when the hotel is NOT at capacity. When we attended the  [... read more]week before Christmas 2019, the resort was at/over capacity per the waiters we spoke with so lineups at the buffet for fresh hot food like fish/meat/pizza were 45 minutes to 1 hour long. The snack bar was only ever staffed by 1 cook (per our waiters who brought drinks at lightning speed) which meant waiting 1 hour for what normally would take 5 minutes for a tortilla pizza. The chairs at the main pool and the beach filled up quick unless you were there early (i.e. 7-8AM). The hotel staff/waiters were very polite and respectful, no complaints there. The late night beach party put on by the resort was a nice and welcomed change from the normal all inclusive you would find in Cuba. Overall we were not disappointed by the resort (we'd consider it a 3.5-4 star) as we needed R&R and understood we needed some patience to get things like food at the buffet. We saw lots of young families who seemed to be having a fun time which is a good thing. We did get a few days of rain, which sent the resort/animation team into a bit of a panic given the large number of people there - my suggestion is bring playing cards just in case. If you are used to a 4.5/5 star experience in somewhere more lavish like Mexico or Dominican Republic then I would suggest you stay away from this place.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Tranquil Resort

Peaceful, Tranquil Adults Only Resort with beautiful gardens, clean rooms, very friendly staff, good food, great variety of cocktails to choose from & THE MOST AMAZING spectacular beach. Everything you could possibly want on your vacation and more.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Don't Recommend

It was the worst place to go to. Food was awful, pools were dangerous , my kids cut their feet inside the pool because of all the broken glass in the pool. rooms were not that clean and we had a rat in our room and no one would come and take it out for us, called customer service many times and they would hang up on us, eventually got a hold of them and said that someone would come and no one showed up. I can go on and on talking about the resort but i'll leave it at that...Worst vacation EVER! [... read more]!!!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: 7/10 resort

Got to the resort after midnight and they didn't have my reservation. Placed me in building 25 which is essentially the furthest building from the lobby/buffet. This was problematic because it was just myself and my 25 lb 1 year old. I was told that the bell boys could drive us back and forth but I frequently called and no one came so I had to walk and carry my baby the 10-15 min walk to eat. Despite advertising as a "family orientated resort" dinner doesn't start until 6:30 pm which was problem [... read more]atic considering my 1 year old eats dinner between 5-5:30 so she was VERY hungry and tired/cranky by then. They also do not have high chairs for the dining area which made eating very difficult. Staff was wonderful, especially the bartenders/chef at the beach bar. Food was okay at best. The resort its self was quite beautiful and all the bushes/trees/gardens were very well maintained. The bed was VERY uncomfortable and saggy.

What was perfect is that even for the christmas week it wasnt a jam packed resort, good food, evrning shows and the beach was amazing. The staff hands down one of the friendliest i have ever encoutered. Most def if i were to go back to cuba, im going bck to same resort.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Beautiful Small and Intimate Resort

The resort has been open for just over a year and is new by Cuban standards - although some of the infrastructure is already tired and needs repair - it's generally in good shape compared to other resorts in Cuba. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The restaurants are basic but have decent food. Bars are well serviced. The beaches are varied, from a long white sand crescent beach to the north west towards Dhawa, to a more secluded beach to the south east they called the Hidden Beach whic [... read more]h is not so good for swimming and no banos nearby, but has a well serviced bar and snack shack. Evening entertainment is limited to instrumentalist music in the lobby bar, and good drinks. Staff are friendly and efficient - especially the servers and bartenders, but across the resort all were good, except for the front desk (reception) staff who were mostly unfriendly and unhelpful. However, guest services were exceptionally good. This hotel is good for older couples that don't want a lot of noise, and organized activities. Most guests were couples 55+. There is lots of coral and sea life to see in the ocean off the resort from one end to the other.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Great modern resort

The hotel was one of the best we stayed in Cuba, and we go once a year. It's very modern (opened in 2017), designer-style resort managed by a Singaporean company. They run it very smoothly, everything was on time and working well. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed, with a rain shower and other modern details. The grounds are luscious and immaculately maintained. The resort is if a perfect size, not too big, not too small. The beach is the main attraction, definitely one of the bes [... read more]t beaches we've ever been at. The food was quite good, a hit and a miss as always in Cuba, but more hits than misses. The a la carte restaurants were all surprisingly good. Wi-Fi is 1 CUC an hour, and it's available in the rooms. There were some small misses like a puzzling lack of spoons in the buffet, a proper nightly show only every second night, poor selection at the snack bar (much of the menu was unavailable), no bacon for breakfast and a surprising lack of chicken at the live stations. But overall this did not take much from the overall positive experience.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful resort!

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. Good service, staff very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean. Rooms are big! Food was ok! The snack bar was good! The drinks we’re good! Would go back!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful resort !

We traveled to Playa Cayo Santa Maria at the end of November. We have been to many areas of Cuba over the past 15 years and we have never been more impressed ! The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean. The food was the best we have ever had, the variety spectacular and the service always pleasant and courteous. The swimming pools (where we spent most of our time) were clean and we could always find one that was not overcrowded. The beach [... read more] is by far the most beautiful we have seen so far in Cuba, the water was crystal clear and warm and the sand was like icing sugar, clean and soft !!! The staff were all friendly and helpful from the reception to the wait staff, bartenders,maids and gardeners. A special thank you to Roberto at the beach restaurant for making us feel so at home.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Awesome stay

Beautiful beaches, fantastic pools, friendly staff (amazing bartender Ruben). Rooms were very clean everyday, was very impressed with the quality and variety of food. Would definitely come back here in a heartbeat
