Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Amazing resort!!

Our family of 5 stayed eight days (end of June beginning of July 2018) at this resort. It was a great experience from the very start. We got our rooms right away, everything was very clean and well kept! Off to the beach right away. The beach area is groomed daily and everyone does their part to keep it clean. Beach service ie: umbrellas, chairs, towels are available and someone is always ready to help you set up. The bar tenders were surprised when we told them that we didnt want too much alcohol in our drinks!! And often requested water as the temperature was in the 40 degrees! The sun sand and surf are a beautiful escape. We dined at the buffet many a nights as we like to stay at the beach till the sunset (such an amazing sight!). Great variety of foods, we always found something to tempt our palate!! Fresh variety of fruits every morning for breakfast, you can have someone prepare your omelet with your choices. No line ups at all. We truelly enjoyed our stay at the Marival and we will definetly recommend this resort to friends and family. We shall return without a doubt!!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Very nice hotel, rooms excellent

The hotel is very nice, rooms are excellent and very well-furnished. Comfortable bed, huge shower, wifi everywhere. All face the ocean as far as I could tell. Pools are good, but the beach is just okay as the ocean is unusable unless you maybe have some water shoes. Buffet was decent but not outstanding, however the a la carte restaurants were all excellent. The 24-hour cafe was used regularly. Riu Flamingos: Amazing!

The hotel was great, very clean, staff was amazing! I would highly recommend. The only down fall was the beach; however, the location of the steak house on the beach was excellent. I recommend dining here during your trip with the view of the sunset.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Amazing SAN MARINO Hotel

SAN Marino located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta is fantastic. It is right on the ocean, close to the Malecon, real Mexican old architecture, museums, & shopping. Definitely the flavour of old Mexico. The staff are exceptional, clean rooms, & good food. Very good value if you are on a budget. Loved it!

Villa Del Mar: Villa Del mar

This hotel was closed for renovations, wish I would have known that. The first room had no hot water and the phone didn’t work. Had to change rooms half way through. They did upgrade me for the inconvenience.

Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills: Resort is beautiful, but

The resort itself is very beautiful with its multiple pools. Fair bit of walking, or you can take shuttles. Bar staff, entertainment staff, and restaurant staff are mostly very nice. The bad part. Coffee is horrible. Food is the worst of all the resorts we've been to. The meats are either inedibly salty or dry or most likely both. Looks like all the bad reviews about food at this resort is true.

Riu Flamingos: HORRIBLE PLACE

STAFF HAS ATTITUDE, THREE-TIME I CALL FOR SERVICE IT WAS NOT ADDRESSED, NEXT DAY AGAIN SAME STORY. A/C WAS NOT WORKING FOR THREE DAYS FINALLY I CALLED FRONT DESK MR. DEAGO WAS VERY RUDE. FINALLY, I SAID CAN I SPEAK TO MANAGER, DEAGO TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT IT WILL TAKE 24Hrs TO SPEAK TO MANAGER.I SAID WHAT 24Hrs, I WANT TO SPEAK TO HIM NOW. DEAGO TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT. I TOLD HIM YOU WANT ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT FOR SERVICE I AM IN UNDERWARE? DEAGO TOLD ME"COM [... read more]E DOWN I AM WAITING FOR YOU" I DRESSED UP AND WENT FRONT DESK, ASK FOR DEAGO HE WENT ON 30 MTS BREAK. THEN PUBLIC RELATION STAFF PAULINA CAME OUT TO FRONT DESK AND TALK TO ME. SHE SAID SHE WILL TALK TO HIM AND SENT TECHNITIAN TO FIX AIR CONDITION. TECHNITIAN CHANGED DEFACTIVE PART AND IT WAS O K. AT 8.00PM I REPORTED INCIDENT TO MANAGER RABECCA. SHE SAID I AM SORRY. AS IF SHE DO NOT CARE STRESS GIVEN TO ME BY DEAGO AND 3DAYS OF NO AIR CONDITION. AFTER CHECKING OUT I TALK TO FRONT DESK MANAGER, HE WAS NOT AWARE OF INCIDENT. IT SOUND AS IF EVERYONE IS COVERING OTHER, THEY DO NOT CARE FOR CUSTOMER. FOOD WAS NOT THE RIU QUALITY, SOMETIMES TODAY FOOD WAS SERVED NEXT DAY.EVERYDAY LAMB CURRY MEAT WAS RUBBERY.

Flamingo Vallarta: Beautiful hotel with bad experience

Everything was excellent until I was treated as delicuent we arrive at the hotel and the guy at the pool take us to front desk because I removed the bracelet because it was to tight on my little kids and I decided to remove them till hurt other members of my family when we were taken to from desk they said if we don’t pay $10US for each we have to leave the hotel they didn’t allow to enter the rooms and the security went to get my teenage kids like we steal something discussing action finall [... read more]y we pay the fee when I already pay the hotel and they put the bracelet again very tight on my daughter next day I care to front desk with my daughter with her hand wrist all tight she was crying and hurt I took pictures of it and front desk lady also said wow this is to tight she took pictures to and I explain that was the reason I removed bracelets first time and she provides other time other than that bearly can swim at the pool because lots of drunk people that I think that’s what the front desk need to each more carefully anyway housekeeper Alicia was awesome and the guy that help us with our luggage I think his name is Martin

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Not so amazing

I've travelled a lot in Pierro Vallarta And stayed at many hotel resorts and this is not a four star resort location is great the rooms are old the plumbing is not good nor the air conditioning the front staff was not helpful although the other staff was great I would not recommend this hotel

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Authentic Experience! Amazing Service!

The resort was well equipped and offered lots of events, shows, activities and services that kept us busy for the entire week. Close to the city but not in the centre of it, we appreciated being right by the beach while having access to the city as needed. The food was decent but not amazing. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. But if you want a lively atmosphere and have a family, this is the place for you. For couples, I would say that this place is quite good, but there might be more romantic options elsewhere. Overall, fantastic place and for an amazing value, I would return again.

Canto Del Sol: Great resort!

Excellent staff including Jorge, the best server in Mexico! Good food, very clean, great wifi. Superb value. Beach area is only negative. I've been going to pv for 20 years, many different hotels. This is my fav!

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Expectation Met

I went to Secrets with a friend and we each paid the single supplement to have our own rooms. It was a good call as the rooms while pretty offer little privacy...understandable as the resort is geared toward couples. It appears that all rooms have an ocean view which is a positive point for this resort. Ours rooms were clean and comfortable. The resort is small which has its pros and cons. The pros are that it's a quick walk no matter where you want to go. The cons are that there is no quiet  [... read more]pool or area. When the entertainment team is doing entertainment during the day you hear it at all pools and the beach. However, you can see and hear the ocean from the pool area. You can also hear the great live music from the lounge that is played each evening between 9-11pm from your room. After that, you will hear the sound of the waves. So if you want to go to bed before 11pm, bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. Some of the restaurants are on the NOW side which is owned by Secrets, but it is a family resort (Kids allowed). 3 restaurants and a cafe are on the Secrets side. So some of your meals could have children if you eat at the NOW side. We only had a crying baby at the Mexican restaurant. I think the Italian Restaurant on the NOW side may be adult only. I did not notice any children at the Japanese restaurant and there were only older children at Castaways (Surf and Turf). The food was amazing. Well prepared, fresh and tons of variety. No reservations required except for the special Japanese meal where they prepare the food in front of you. You do not need reservations for the regular Japanese meal where you order off a menu. The staff were very accommodating overall. They were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. We heard about some guests partying on their balcony until 1:30AM and apparently it was hard to get staff to take care of the problem. We were told by one couple that they had to call the front desk 2-3 times and they felt that the issue was not handled properly. So much do that they said that they will not return. I personally had an issue with housekeeping on my last 2 days and with a late check out that was not entered into the system. I believe that I could avoid these problems if I returned by asking that my room be cleaned before 5pm and I recommend getting your late check out request in writing. A couple told me about Secrets in Los Cabo which is bigger but has a quiet pool that looks over the ocean. I think that might be interesting to check out.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: One of a kind.

The grounds are beautiful. The resort is clean and it has a Mexican feel to it. It is done in bright colours and very festive. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every Thursday night is Mexican night with music, vendors and it is a lot of fun for everyone young and old.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Disappointed

We have been to this resort at least 5 times previously and always had a great experience. This time however it was NOT great. The hotel is undergoing construction and the beach restaurant is being rebuilt. The result was that the resort has one less restaurant at present. When we arrived on Wednesday in the afternoon the other two restaurants were closed for dinner and the only one open was on the mezzanine level and you needed to sit through a program in order to eat. There were bright constru [... read more]ction lights shinning directly at our windows making it difficult to sleep. There was constant construction noise during the day as well. With the beachfront restaurant closed, the previous most enjoyable evening dining on the beach was cancelled. Our room had a water leak from the bathtub and so after showers the floor was extremely slippery. The staff were very friendly and outgoing. Unfortunately we will most likely not go back to that resort given this latest experience.

Riu Vallarta: Plesantly surprised :)

This hotel ended up surprising me. The activities for the kids, nightly shows, clean pool, good food and great hospitality made the iffy reviews I read not mean anything. More importantly was all the help I received from my agent putting this trip together for our whole family (6 of us). Not an easy feat when you're dealing with a very particular client. Hats off to Trip central and Cindy!

Riu Flamingos: Week of Fun

This is my second time to Puerto Vallarta. Last time we stayed at the RIU Vallarta and this time at RIU Jalisco. We had a wonderful time. Check in was fast and easy. Front counter staff were very helpful and polite. (Poala - she was amazing!!) Our room was very nice and clean. Cleaning staff were great. Everyone treated us kindly. The beach is beautiful and we swam in it every day. The whole experience was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

Riu Vallarta: High class resort

Everyone was absolutely terrific. They worked hard each and every day to give us a Fabulous and fun experience. The resort was clean and well looked after. A five star rated it indeed was. I wish there were more evident vegan options. Some vegetarian but difficult for a vegan to eat.

Canto Del Sol: Low Key Charm

This is our third time at this resort. The charming atmosphere and excellent food make for a relaxing holiday. There are lots of activities including the tennis club. It feels like home away from home. The resort is walking distance from town and the marina. Lovely time!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Great trip to Puerto Vallarta

The Now Amber is a lovely resort, much smaller than what is in Riviera Maya though so if you like large sprawling resorts this is not for you. I would also say it is definitely not a 5 star but a solid 4. The best part of the resort are the employees they are all warm and welcoming, friendly and very accommodating wanting to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. The worst thing about this resort is the buffet,  [... read more]the selection is limited and very little change from one day to the next and the food was warm at best unless you had prepared eggs. The other negative is the special events take priority over the all inclusive guest. There was 2 weddings and a large convention that took over the lounge chair area right by the pool, eliminating a significant amount of seating in the middle of the afternoon for the duration of the day. The last negative comment pertains to the housekeeping of the room our mini bar was only restocked 2 times during the week, not a big problem because there is a full bar on the second floor. But the cleaning staff did not provide hand towels 3 times during the stay. I think these are little issues and would not prevent me from recommending though. Last but not least if you don’t like cigarette smoke don’t go here, smokers are so disrespectful of others enjoyment smoking in the pool is disgusting and ruins the enjoyment of those of us wanting to take in the fresh air and outdoors several guys were smoking big cigars which was difficult to escape the smoke and smell.

We have been to this resort 13 times. It seems the quality has declined significantly over the last year. This used to be a good resort. The Tropical restaurant burnt down two days before we arrived. They set up some tents on the grass and served out there about 5 days after we arrived. We wrote a list of things we experienced to remind us not to book again.
