Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Third time and still great

Flew with Sunquest and it went without a hitch. Our drivers to and from the resort were great drivers and very pleasant. The hotel had made all the special arrangements as I had arranged with the e-concerige and the room was expected. We spent most of our time in a quiet area of the pool and there were always chairs to be found, both at the pool and at the beach. We don't do the games, but there was plenty of action for all ages. We watched one night show (Circus) and it was fabulous. Our bed was extremely comfortable and everything in our room worked, so no complaints. The standout this visit was the food. The Director of Food and Beverage and the Executive Chef have done an amazing job in securing suppliers and ensuring great cuts of beef. I don't eat much beef but steak twice and short ribs once - all of which melted in the mouth. The pastry and bread bakers are to be commended. I ate way too much bread and croissants and chocolatini's - they were melt in your mouth as well. All in all, a great trip. So glad we went.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Amazing Resort!

I absolutely loved this vacation! First time to the DR. The room was spectacular. We had 1 Room in building Q007(king bed) and we had another in building N002 (double bed). Both were gorgeous. The bar service by the pools, swim- up bar, and buffet were fantastic. Excellent hospitality and amazing taste at all the buffets and a la cartè restaurants! Beach was okay, I much preferred the pools, clean and beautiful. Ooh and the water park Extreme fun for the whole family! They also have nightly entertainment and an old school Casino still fun. Great Trip over all. If any excursion will be explored do the Catamaran, bar far the best! Enjoy!

the hotel was clean, food was good, the pool was great, LOVED THE BEACH, service was great would go there again, maids was so friendly, people were so nice that area was right in town but we didn't care we still like it,

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: 3rd Time's a Charm!

Our 3rd time visiting this beautiful resort in Punta Cana and it just keeps getting better! From the moment of check in, we were treated like royalty. The staff are so friendly, accommodating and genuinely care about the guests with no expectations of a tip in return for this service. The resort remains immaculately clean and so well cared for. The food continues to be outstanding providing variety and high quality food clearly labelled and replenished. Management observing the presentation of the food, the labelling and ensuring the staff were cognizant of what was required to make it even better. We requested the same room due to location in advance of arriving and they did everything possible to accommodate. We were welcomed with a bottle of rum and fruit platter upon arrival. I celebrated my birthday while there and at teh end of the night, I returned to find a chilled bottle of champagne with fruit platter and a birthday card. So impressive and truly made me feel special. I always provide balanced feedback in my reviews so here are the cons I came across during this visit: 1. The rooms have excellent air conditioning but should have temperature control vs. high/medium/low. We were freezing in the room but if we turned it off, it was too hot 2. On my previous visits, the entertainment staff were extremely sociable and visible. Each morning, they would walk the beach, stopping to say hello to all guests and set the stage for the day's/evening's activities. During this visit, we noticed less entertainment staff working, they were not very visible during the day. They truly make the experience while you're there so would like to see them increase their visibility and sociability during the day to ensure a better stay. Overall, I have travelled to many other places over the years and always draw my comparison to this resort. Simply outstanding resort! I will be returning to the Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana for a 4th time.

Occidental Punta Cana: An OK place

Great place to meet new people and learn new things. Lots of ammenities provided by the resort, so if you are a sporty outgoing person, you can never get bored or hungry. Tourists in general are friendly, but beware of locals who will miss no opportunities to con you for excursions they offer. Also, some excursions aren't as good as they make out to be.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Friendly staff

Just returned June 3Rd 2015. the resort was very beautiful and you recognized there was consistent upkeep of the place. The food was limited for buffet breakfast and dinner. Repeated the same stuff over and over during our stay. Oatmeal was very soupy... Room was very clean and decent.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Nice resort

Hotel was well kept and clean. Food was very average. The beaches were nice however weren't maintained in frong of resort. Too many solicitors as you walk on the beach. Weather was great. Staff were awesome.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Very good!RIU everyver it is RIU!

Rooms 100 % clean and comfortable.Entertainment good . Staph was very professional and friendly .Garden is beautiful.Security system 100%.Bars and drinks unexpectation. I am ready recommend this resort.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

The hotel was very clean, spacious and had great amenities. We had access to several pools, the beach, nightly entertainment and 11 excellent restaurants. The staff was amazing and very helpful. There was an array of customers at the hotel and many that I spoke with had been to Punta Cana several times and each said this was the best hotel they had stayed at. I was very happy with this package and would suggest this location to anyone looking to spend some worry-free time away from home. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Welcome to Paradise!!!

Majestic Colonial was absolutely beautiful!!! The grounds were immaculately kept, everywhere we went was very clean. Every staff member was friendly and courteous and made every effort to do anything to help us. Our lovely housekeeper who put special effort into making our room beautiful especially on our 25th wedding anniversary day. Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Very good resort!!!

The grounds were beautifully kept, the flowers, trees and greenery were above average. The resort was incredibly clean. The food was very good with a large selection. The beach was beautiful; a bit more seawood than I would like but that is up to nature. They did a good job cleaning it up. The no reservations theme for the a la carte restaraunts is good in theory but had to line-up before opening to get a time slot, so in effect it does end up being a reservation. Very good resort, clean, friendly staff, good food, alot of activities, nice rooms and very good service. it was great experience. i would recommend this to friends and family and may visit again soon

Occidental Punta Cana: It's worth the cost

I went to Occidental Grand Punta Cana and I must say that it was worth the cost. We booked the Air Transat Preference Club and they gave us cute welcome gifts. The resort is beautiful but I would recommend it for those that don't want to be entertained all the time and plan on leaving the resort for night events. It's really convenient that the best on resort club Mangu is on this resort it was always a great time especially on weekends.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very nice familly hotel

Rooms: Very nice rooms, well kept, all white wich is pleasing to the eye. Air conditionning works well. We had a little trouble with the air dryer wich was corrected wright away.Towels changed everyday. Dining: Food was very good. Service was fine no problem. The italian restaurant and the garden grill was to our liking. Bathing: They have 3 pools. 1 small one for children, 1 big one for the children and their parents and 1 big one for adluts only. They were very well maintained. Also in the mid [... read more]dle of them they have a jacuzi small pool for adults only. At the jacuzi there is a small bar with all drinks. In general we loved our stay at the Bahia and we would return gladly.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Fabulous Resort!

A wonderful place to kick back, relax, rejuvenate and just have fun! Excellent selection of restaurant styles and cuisine, including great buffets...definitely something for every one! All the staff were wonderful!

Occidental Punta Cana: Great trip!

I travelled with my 3 female cousins from May 21-27, 2015 from Toronto. We had a great time. Staff was mostly pleasant, the on site restaurants were really great, and buffet had lots of variety. Loved that they had food available till 6am every night. We were there for an event and coming back sometimes at 2am knowing you could grab a freshly made pizza was awesome. Occidental Caribe: Amazing place. Terrible service

The Resort on itself was beautiful and amazing. My one complaint is the service at the front desk. My girlfriend needed serious medical attention, one attendant simply looked at me in the eyes, told me "he didnt care" while others (including security guard) looked on and continued about his business like nothing happened, and also neglected to inform us there was a 24 hour medical assistant on site. Occidental Punta Cana: basic resort

Resort was clean and well kept grounds, but the rooms need lots of upgrading. Bathrooms need new floors, and tubs need to be refinished. Linens and bed covering were old. But overall the service was good. A bit frustrating due to the lack of English speaking staff, but we managed.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice resort.

We stayed in room 1101 and were pleased with the room. Everything was close by. Pool was just down the stairs, the beach was to the left once you were on the ground level. The main lobby was clean and well managed with a lobby bar and another bar were the entertainment was held was opened at night so there were no long waits. The pool bar was amazing. There was a swim up and walk up on the opposite side. The food was excellent in my opinion. The a la carte options were enjoyable. Japanese was pr [... read more]epared in front of us, the Mexican was very good, we had beef skewers instead of tacos and we were extremely happy with out choice. The Brazilian was also well done. We had the skewered choice there as well. The pool side buffet was perfect with snacks for all palettes ie burgers, pizza and fries and much more. There were 2 days were paella was prepared on the beach which I did enjoy. There was a beach barbecue that I missed. Entertainment and activities at the pool were very entertaining to watch, I didn't volunteer or participate but I enjoyed watching. The bikini competition was fun to watch, bingo daily, sports like competitions etc. At night there were some hard working, very physically fit staff who performed shows and had audience participation including children. The same performed the evening entertainment. Very hard working young men and women. Service staff worked tirelessly on the gardens and trees, the pool, the water gardens, the bars and the buffets. The housekeeping was immaculate. It really was an incredible experience to stay at this resort. I have nothing negative to say. The price is moderate and you get everything you pay for and more. We enjoyed our vacation immensely, would we go back? Unsure, I like hopping around but would not hesitate booking with Iberostar resorts.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great for Family

Overall, the resort was nice. One of the closest complex to the beach. It is great for family as it wasn't as loud or rowdy compared to other parts of the resort. Buffet was better than the a la carte unfortunately.
