Crown Paradise Club: Good value family resort

I have been coming to puerto Vallarta for many years. This is one of the better value resorts. Food is good, rooms are nice, beach and pools are great! Service is good, but not as good as some Pv hotels in the same category like the Canto del sol. Only go if you have young kids.

Riu Flamingos: Enjoyable resort.

Just returned from the Riu Jalisco on Saturday early morning. Room was a average room but clean and comfortable. We had a broken shower handle that we asked for it to be fixed and it was done in the three hours we were on the beach. I would suggest that you ask for a room on the south side of the building as our room was very dark and tended to feel damp until the air was on for an hour. The hotel is on a long stretch of beach that is wonderful to walk on. At the hotel there is lots of room for the sun worshippers and the shade from the palm trees. There are waves everyday that you can boogie board on. We went on a trip to Sayulita in a cab to see the surrounding area, lots of fun for a day trip and very reasonably priced. Only complaint, sometimes it appeared that they were short staffed and it took a bit to get served but we were on vacation so we relaxed and waited. Great value for the price.

Plaza Pelicanos Club: three stars

staff were always helpful..if you tipped the room was very basic..we had washcloths turned into swans and flower petals ...if we tipped the pool was small, no beach access and not enough chairs and loungers for guests the food was good but they served the same things all week. we spent most of our time off this resort as it was not what we expected.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Would go back

The staff were exceptional! Beach was nothing special 10 min walk down the beach to a very nice area to swim in at a different resort. The food was also exceptional! I have been to different resorts in Mexico and I would say the food at this resort surpassed all the others I have been to. We swam mostly in the pools which were very nice except the fact that both my kids cut open their feet on the tiles that were broken in the first two days of our stay. El Cid Resort Castilla: Great resort

We were very happy with this resort. No complaints. Food was good. Rooms were good. Only complaint was that the balcony railings were very low. I would have been nervous to be there with little kids. Ask for a main floor room if u have small children.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: we will be back

id like to first thank alfie duva of trip central for finding and booking this hotel for us.my wife and i had an excellent time .the hotel itself is amazing and the staff was very friendly. it is a huge resort with many things to do some at a cost but acceptable pools were always clean as were the grounds.there were many bars so there was no lack of a cervesa when needed and when the bars were a little busy there was the frindly waitresses walking around and making sure you had what you wanted [... read more].our room was very nice everything in it worked kept clean everyday as well as the mini fridge being well stocked.the buffet in my opinion was very good and the a la cartes we did have were a1 the only thing i would like to see is possibly more trams on the property they did have many for the members and i feel there were more non member guests there as well as perhaps a bike rental place it is a big resort and would be nice for the ones that would like to see it without waiting for a tram thanks to juan ,jose and alajandro as well as our 2 very helpful air cananda reps thanks again

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Absolutely thrilled!

The Grand Park Royal Cozumel resort was a pleasure from top to bottom. Cleanliness, service, food, grounds, location, amenities, entertainment, were all fantastic! My wife and I can't say a bad thing about it in any aspect. The only word of advice we can offer the ladies is to be careful in heels on some of the naturals limestone pathways. We were a little concerned going in with the smaller size of the beach and the proximity of the cruise ships and the view they would possibly impede. Riu Flamingos: Excellent resort

Awsome resort, nice lay out good food, excellent staff, will go back for sure,, only downside is the flight by sunwing,, delayed , misinformed, 1 stop for fuel when its supposed to be non stop , thumbs down to sunwing

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great resort

The resort is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The buffets are huge and the la a carts were just amazing. The beach is just gorgeous. There is so many pools to choose from for your days activities ..

Barcelo Karmina: Good

One minus no beach!!! and please make sure you advise people who come to visit that resort that leaving towel in the morning (meaning that is your chair and you coming back) do not touch, many people do not know this.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great Vacation!

This resort is actual big, there are two sections. A preferred club and regular side, but both are connected. You can also have access to Sunscape Sabor right next door, which is sister resort. My husband planned this trip for my 50th Birthday and they sure treated me well on my birthday. Overall, the beach is good, but a big rocky. The weather was fabulous, and the island is quiet. The buffet is good for breakfast as well considering it is small. However, for a Secrets, this chain hotel is quiet dated, and could need some upgrades, within the rooms and the grounds. The foliage is well kept, overall the grounds. Beverage service is top notch as well, the alcohol served is top shelf, Jack Daniels, Smirnoff, Grey Goose, Crown Royal. Just need to ask for these when you order. We would go back, but not anytime soon, as we like to see other areas. Transfer was easy to get there and return, the taxi ride isn't long 30 minutes tops.

Grand Oasis Sens: Definately won't be going back to this property - bad customer service

We paid for an full ocean view, but the room they gave us was in corner with barely an ocean view, Washroom was dirty so we went back to ask for what we paid for, were told they didn't haven any rooms fully sold out. to come back next day at 10am and told us not to unpack. Went back at 10 am, told us to come back at 3:30, at which time they told us they were completely booked and either take the room or go to their sister property but no guarantee they would have ocean view. After spending most  [... read more]of the day trying to get what we paid for we were finally given a room with a full ocean view, when we went up there were people in that room. Came back down and waited another 2 hours for them to find us something as our old room was now given away and we had no where to stay. We wasted a 1 1/2 days of our vacation sorting this mess out. at the end they had no choice but to give us one of their suites that had its own full walk out patio and pool. But what a hassle. Very bad customer service during check in and check out. The front desk could not make change, always told us to come back at 3pm and when we did the answer was always NO come back tomorrow at 3. We won't be going back to this property again. Buffet always had lineups even when it was not full, the 2 restaurants where you had to make reservations were full for over a week so the food choices were repetative and few. There were about 5 other couples that we ran into that had some kind of issue with their room (ceiling was leaking from above floor, washrooms were dirty, assigned rooms that weren't cleaned or had been assigned to someone else, keys wouldn't work) just a mess. The staff at the front desk were very rude and not helpful, but all other staff were very pleasant. The propery grounds were well kept, good choice of entertaintment but limited choice for food, 2 of the restaurants were booked solid with no openings for a full week while one was closed all the time even though the sign said open at 7pm. Buffet lineups almost everyday at breakfast, lunch and dinner even though there were many empty tables, service was slow in the buffet. No a good experience and would not recommend to anyone.

Secrets Huatulco: GREAT HOTEL IT'S JUST AMAZING

They make u feel very special and important and just like all the AM resort no bracelet no reservation for a la carte and no worry for the towel it's definitely the best way to travel and the view is wonderful. We are thinking on going back because it was a very pleasnt and relaxing vacation!!! Thanks to all the wonderful stafff

Catalonia Yucatan: Beautiful place!

We spent a very short time at this resort because we were offfered an upgrade to a resort down the road that offered a child free environment that greatly appealed to us. 😉 We did however, have the chance to enjoy the buffet for lunch and walked the grounds before we moved on. The lunch was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent

This hotel was excellent, very clean and great food. The rooms are large and you can catch a train to any part of the hotel as well as the other adjoining Bahia principe hotels. The staff is very friendly. The beach is further than Tulum hotel but just a short train ride. Also, there are a few pools to enjoy and always something going on. Seven family members attended this trip of varied ages, fantastic time.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: This resort was absolutley beautiful!

the Barcelo maya Colonial resort in Maya Riviera Mexico was amazing. the service, the food , the weather could not have been better! The tours are spectacular too. We went ziplining and went to the Tulum ruins. It was a great day. We had a traditional mayan lunch and saw some beautiful greenscape. I would really recommend this resort to anyone wanting to go to Mexico. We stayed at the Barcelo Maya Beach resort the last time we went which was equally as nice but on a smaller scale. Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Iberostar paraiso del mar

We stayed in January and I could not complain about anything. Everything about this resort was excellent. There is something for everybody all ages on this beautiful resort. This was my third time to Mexico and this one topped the list. The a la carts were terrific. I read bad reviews about the Italian but ended up being my favourite. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Awesome Vacation

We booked a mayan suite at the Grand Palladium Kantenah for a week just before Christmas 2016. Our room was gorgeous with a cathedral ceiling with a fan, a very comfortable king bed, and a sitting area with a sofa chair and table. The bathroom was huge with a whirlpool tub and private outdoor mayan shower. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The best part was that it was right on the beach and had a covered balcony with chairs a table and a hammock. It also had free basic wifi. When you stay at the Kantenah you get to use the facilities of 3 other Palladium resorts at the same location - it's huge with many pools, restaurants and bars plus two theatres. The beach is long with lots of huts and the main pools have many rows of huts around them. We never had issues with getting lounges and shade at either the beach or the pools which was a refreshing change from some of the other resorts we've been to. We had dinners at at the Thai restaurant, La Lola (tapas), La Adelita (Mexican) and Portofino (Italian) - all very good. The other nights we went to either Tikal or La Hacienda because they were closer to our room and the nearest theatre. The selection and quality of the buffet food was excellent as was the service.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Good resort

Stayed in Iberostar few times prior to the last visit. In time of booking requested room in the building 62, upper floor, in the wing facing Grand hotel. On arrival was given room on the upper floor in the building as requested but with balcony facing towards the pool (room 6265). Next day found out that even with the balcony door closed there was quite a bit of noise coming from the pool area. Concierge in the building accommodated my requeast and transferred me to the room facing Grand but on  [... read more]the floor bellow (room 6247). It was a mistake on my part: I could hear everything coming from the floor above, furniture moving, steps, doors etc. It was the most unpleasant experience during my stay. The concierges in the building did the excellent job, trying accommodate my requests. Especially want to mention: Claudia, Elizabeth, Alejandra, thank you all. One minor detail: there was no bottle opener in the room. Rooms are in good shape, very good cleaning staff, mini bar was always full. Good selection of international and local drinks at the main bar, JW Black Label, Don Julio tequila, Spanish champagne and wines etc. Main bar (I call it Pyramid Bar, but proper name starts with K), bartenders Johny, Alberto and others are very efficient and trying accommodate your requests in no time at all. With exception of noise (it could be just me as I spend a lot of time in hotels world over while travelling on business and very sensitive to the noise coming from outside) you are getting good value for your money. Good selection and quality of food in La Marina restaurant, La Tapia(?) during lunch, very good service. I corresponded with Tripcentral about Sunwing representative in the hotel. I brought back the card for requesting return transfer to the airport. Shall be happy to scan and to E-Mail it on your request.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at Hotel Azul Ixtapa from Jan 19 - 26, 2017. Weather was fantastic! This is an amazing place for families with younge kids (water park and kids club up to 12 years old). Very clean, excellent service, beautiful pools, great food! Definitely come back!
