Beautiful Resort

This was a great resort. I can't think of anything to complain about. The service was exceptional, the food great, the nicest pool of any resort I have visited, very clean ( they even scrub and wash the sidewalks). the rooms were great and a beautiful beach. Also lots of peacocks to brighten your day. What else could you ask for?

Amazing resort that is accessible for people with physical disabilities

I have been to this hotel 7 times now because it is not only a great resort with beautiful grounds, great food, amazing staff, but also that is very accessible for those with physical disabilities. The whole resort is very flat, with ramps where needed, there are golf carts that will drive you where you want to go, easy access into the pool and even a boardwalk that extends under sun umbrellas on the beach for easy wheelchair/walker access. Although the complex is huge, it is very easy to get around, with many activities, lots of chairs with shade at the pool and beach and close to the airport.

Amazing Resort

This resort is great. the grounds are well kept and clean. No issues with the food, lots of options. the beach is clean with great service. all in all, a great resort. It is a large resort but lots of trolley's available. Overall, you will not get any better service throughout.

Amazing holiday

Stayed for 4 nights. Room was a great size, beds were very comfortable and finishings were nice (marble tile floors). Shower was malfunctioning but nothing major. Food was great, there's always something you can find. Restaurants do not have AC but the only place we ever noticed it was at the Japanese restaurant (so hot we left). Pool is amazing, huge! Beautiful Paraiso beach

My wife and i really enjoy being there among all the Hotels we done before,food was good,the room was clean,the beach awsome and clean,nice big lobby,overall rate 4.5 on 5. We lack electricity and water for 7- 8 hours but was ok,the only thing we could say is that the shuttle was not comming fast enought,sometime waiting 15 minutes,specialy at supper or breakfast.

This was our first time here but for one of the couples travelling with us this was their second. Upon our arrival we were met with our first disappointment - we had requested a second floor but got a first (that was not a big deal really) The second was that we requested a king size bed and got two doubles that we tried to put together (with the wall lamp in the centre of the wall - this was quite trying!) Had to be extremely cautious when moving in the bed. We did request a change and were ac [... read more]comodated a couple of days afterwards to a beautiful 3rd floor king size bed room. Issue there was that we needed an extension for a walll plug as my husband uses a sleep apnea machine (for breathing) that he could not use as the electricity doesnt seem to work when there is no movement in the room for a while. This could be fatal to some! The grounds on the resort were impeccable. Very well kept by staff on a daily basis. The staff was vbery courteous and always there if you needed them. The beach was for the most part good. You had to be very cautious upon entering due to rocks and certain areas were quite seeweedy. If you got yourself past that point you were good. The food was very good in most of the a la carte restaurants. The mediterannean was by far the best! Buffets were always well stocked and there was food a plenty at all times. The electricity went out for about 12 hours one day and the water was out for a few hours on another. From the group of six travellers 5 of us had contracted tourista. For both my husband and I this was a first. We have travel every year and have never experienced this issue before. The entertainment (the couple of times we attended) was not the best - we never returned. One big kudos does go the the Zumba instructor (on the beach) He was the best Zumba teacher that I have ever experienced. Service at the front desk was always courteous and staff were as helpful as they could be.

A very nice resort but our first visit there was much better

We were without electricity for twelve hours and then had no water on another day for hours and the lobby was under repairs and the noise with the welding everyday was unacceptable and unbearable.Since We brought four new friends with us this time I was a little upset because I raved so much about my last visit there.But the rooms were great and the service unbeatable.Thank you.They even had super Zumba classes at the beach each day.

Amazing resort

This was our first time in Mexico and we had an awesome time and we can see why people are return visitors to the area. Our hotel room was always clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the resort overall was very impressive. The al la Carte were all good except for the Cajun night which seemed totally disorganized and our server totally forgot about our meals. We never struggled over where to eat at any time of the day. Best to book your al la carte as soon as you arrive if possible so as not to be disappointed. This was a tip we read off Trip Advisor website and there was a number of topics which we also found useful during our stay. We had initially booked to be in the Paraiso Beach but our initial agent was retiring and didn't tell us that not ALL restaurants were available to us if we'd stayed at the Beach and it wasn't till I spoke with a second agent who took over our file who advised us and we subsequently upgraded to the Lindo. We succumbed to greed and did the supposedly 1 1/2 hr presentation/breakfast for the Iberostar Plan....we'd been assured it would only be 90 mins and if it wasn't for us we could leave. We were too polite and finally at the end I had to firmly put an end to it in order for them to stop coming back with another offer to keep us there!. We used the voucher from this painful experience to enjoy a great morning snorkeling.

Very large and very clean

Friendly staff, asked for room close to lobby and was given room in Del Mar hotel so had to walk even farther to lobby. Great pools and beach. Average buffet, slow service. Lots of mosquitos. Well kept

Good resort

The hotel was nice and clean. Grounds were perfect and nicely groomed. Food was very excellent. Only negative was buffet wasn't very big , but had what you needed. Rooms were spacious and clean as the room fridge was stocked regularly. Pools were clean and had games going on most of the day. The shows at night were really good. Better then I'd expect. Props to all the star friends for putting on a good show and taking care of all the guests to keep them busy.

Amazing resort!

Everything was fantastic. Everything! Where to start? Food- 2 buffets were so good we wouldn't have missed the a la carts although they were pretty darn good aswell. Not to mention they also have a diner that does not need a reservation. There was also a burger joint a coffee bar and a crepe bar!! Nothing bad can be said about food or service. Beach- a bit rocky in places but made for great snorkelling. The staff was amazing. We had drink refills before we even knew we were empty. The bbq buffet [... read more] at the beach was great aswell! Hot dogs hamburgers corn on the cob nachos ice cream and lots of other yummy beach bbq stuff! I was a happy camper! Pools- Pool was huge! So many different sections that you didn't even know it wasn't adult only! It was clean and never over crowded. Francisco put up with us for many hours! Disco- Star Wars themed!! If you like dancing this is where it's at! It's all ages till 10pm after the adults are free to get their groove on! They had themed nights 70' 80's etc. It was a lot of fun!! Entertainment- the theatre had some sort of show every night. Yes it was a bit high school quality but none the less entertaining. Kids especially seemed to love it. Our entertainment was mostly in the lobby. We love karaoke! And there it was. My husband was in his glory! We would meet up with other people we met at the lobby bar every night. Great times were had by all! Rooms and grounds- it seemed there were always people working. Staff were busy sweeping sidewalks and gardening. The grounds were beautiful. Peacocks flamingos parrots and of coarse the coati made for some great photo ops! We loved the turtle pond off the lobby as well. Our room was kept immaculate. Not a grain of sand was found after they did their magic. And a small tip goes a long way. Our fridge was always fully stocked with dos Equis and water..at our request. It is a large resort but if you are too lazy to walk the golf carts run all day and night taking you where you want to go. We needed a few rides home from the disco. That being said the disco was far enough away that the rooms couldn't hear the rockin party going on. Staff- superior! So friendly and welcoming it was are first stay at iberostar beach but they made us feel like long time friends. I think I've covered it all!! Great resort! Would most definitely recommend to friends and family. I don't think we could have had a better time.

GREAT RESORT TO VACATION IN

The food was excellent,except for the Italian A le carte. Definitely would not recommend it.The hotel was spotless as well as the rooms. The area approaching the main dinning rooms could have been cleaner(water). The beach in front of this resort had a large drop off and the waves were very high when we tried to enter in.This being said we are all seniors so we did not spend much time at the beach,rather we sat around the pool,which we loved. Staff is super friendly,again there is always one exc [... read more]eption,when we arrived which was early 10 am our rooms which we had asked to be on ground level due to the fact that one member of our party has had back surgery,were located on level 2 and 3. We asked for ground level side by side and was assured not a problem and the rooms would be ready very soon.We got into room 1 at 2:00 and the second room after 4.First impressions are very lasting and this put a little bit of a bad taste in our mouths.I f rooms are not going to be ready til 2 say so .mot this is a few minutes!!! We were the only four at the desk checking in,not like there was a full bus load.

Nothing wrong with this resort!

-staff are friendly beyond other resorts we have visited -beach is very nice for this area. Lots of loungers here and at the pool -pool is large and spacious. -exceptionally clean resort, grounds beautiful, lots of walkways etc... -no need to bring your own "drink" cups, but you might want to for coffee to go! -security is amazing, we forgot our safe open with our passports and signficiant cash, ID, credit cards etc...and rec'd a note to call security to open it again. Very impressed. -food is good, maybe not as much variety as other resorts, but plenty to eat for sure! -needed a minor repair, done before we got back to the room!

Beautiful resort

the desk service was terrible they lied to me many times about the room service not being done till i got mad things needed to be fixed but were not dun till i lost it the biggest thing was the air conditioning never worked

Everthing you need in a resort

One of the best resorts I have been to. Has everything you need and more. Great service, food and amenities. .This resort is built right in the jungle, animals were everywhere. Woke up to many birds chirping and peacocks on our balcony. ..highly recommend this resort.

Fantastic Stay!!

We had a fabulous stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort from Nov 24 - Dec 4! The rooms we first stayed in were near the theater stages so after a couple of nights we asked to be moved to a quieter location. The staff accommodated us with no hesitation. The rooms were very nicely appointed and the room cleaning staff did a great job. The air conditioning worked very well and was very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The beach was great although the first few days the sea was very rou [... read more]gh so swimming at the beach was not an option. Having the HUGE pool with its different sections; activity, bar, and quiet area was a great alternative. The food was amazing. We have traveled to both the Mayan Riviera and the Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta areas many times and this trip by far surpassed all other stays in Mexico. One of our group is celiac and the resort literally assigned two chefs to be wherever we were eating during our stay so that they could prepare gluten free pancakes, or pasta or recommend what he could have from the buffets. Marcos and Alexis were always there, ready to prepare or find some gluten free delicacy. They truly wanted to ensure that everyone enjoyed their food experience at the resort. We have never experienced such attention to special dietary considerations. And we have traveled with this couple many times before. Even we "normal" folk were thinking we should request some dietary need LOL The activity staff were all wonderful. We enjoyed doing some sports we had never tried before: archery and target shooting. Ricardo, Rigo and Javier really know their stuff! Karen, who was brand new even made us feel welcome as if she had been there forever! The guys were really happy that the sea calmed down enough to be able to take out one of the catamarans for a sail a couple of days. All in all a great vacation at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. Would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a warm and hospitable place to stay on the Mayan Riviera.

Lovely place

We felt the place was well kept, the grounds were beautiful, we loved how we could sit on our balcony and see a distance instead of having foliage in the way. The pool area was great and we appreciated the job that was done to keep the beach clean. The restaurants were great! Evening entertainment was good. Only negative comment was that we were told men needed to were pants and many of them were wearing shorts, even jean shorts and a cap on their head when this was suppose to be a a la cart res [... read more]taurant and others were dressing up. If you make a rule stick with it!!

Great resort!

Very nice resort. Food was good. Beach and pools were awesome. It is a very large resort so we had about 5 min walk to beach but we're close to lobby and restaurants. Pool area room would be best (central area)Remember to take bug spray!!!!!

GREAT SERVICE!! Clean, FUN, Friendly

Well this time was just as good at the last two! I cannot say it enough but WOW! I love this chain in Mexico! Not only was the food great so I could put on some vacation weight, but the service was top notch! This time leaving I even remember the names of our servers and Bar Staff, and cannot forget the front desk & reservations! Julia on Reservations was excellent and personable, ALL bar staff was fun and amazing! Dining staff was upbeat, memorable and down right great at making sure everything [... read more] was clean. Only thing lacking for this resort was absolutely nothing. The beach was clean, the chairs were well kept and everything turned out amazing. I have been there three times, and I would go back for a 4th. Only thing I regret about this resort is not staying longer. If you want to check out some photos search the tag on instagram of the location, tons of real great shots by people who explore the whole resort. Also, being a part of the fitness field here at home and then going there after they upgraded the gym facility, it was incredible. Only thing I would suggest is renting out the newer equipment from the conditioning room, under room number, so that you can do some of the things on your own and get the workout you need. All in all, great place, friendly staff and I would go a 4th time! Can't wait to go back someday! Maybe I can visit the Grand like my parents do!~ We can only wish! haha

Fantastic Resort

Hotel is just as nice as the more expensive Iberostar Lindo. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beach is clean, bar staff friendly and very efficient. Food is excellent especially in the a la cart restaurants. Buffets always had fresh, hot food available and the staff was very helpful to answer any questions. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained. Lots of wildlife roaming the property - mostly peacocks and coati. Quite a few coati seemed to gather by the beac [... read more]h snack bar (picnic table area)-understandable considering they are from the racoon family. They didn't seem to bother the people there, just mostly gathered near the garbage can for food. They were also on the grounds of the property but again, didn't bother anyone. In fact, they seemed to control bugs since there were none it seemed. Entertainment staff was wonderful. Friendly, smiley and seemed to genuinely like their job. The shows at night were fantastic. The evening usually began with the "ice breaker" - the two young men who lead that part of the evening were perfect for the job. They were very entertaining and a great sense of humor. The main show was always well rehearsed and by the end of each show, you really appreciated the hard work of these young people. ... and then you would see them working bright and early the next day... again, smiling like it was their first day on job. An excellent resort and good value for your dollar. Service is the same if you tip or not. Its not like other places where you have to bring tip money for every drink or every meal - you will get a smile regardless. Highly recommend the Paraiso Beach.
