Beautiful grounds!

We had a great time enjoying the beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff, and the actractive beach! The small size of the resort makes it easy to meet people and form new relationships. We anticipate returning in the future!

Great First Trip To Cuba!

Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The grounds were kept well. There was always a lot of food options for everyone. Pool was amazing & entertainment staff were great! Loved the hotel, the food, the beers and never had a complaint while staying for the 7 days.

Awesome resort

This hotel was over of the next one stayed at in cuba. Friendly staff and willing to help anytime. Very clean and will kept. We'r would go back anytime. We plan to return in 2020. Beaches were beautiful.

Friendly and Courteous

This was not our first trip to PCV. We keep returning here because of the staff. Its like coming home! We were welcomed with the warmth of Cuban hospitality. The resort is not new, but they maintain it the best they can and the friendliness and courteous staff makes up for the fact that you stay in an older resort. The buffet offers the best variety that you can expect from Cuba and people who are not satisfied with the food obviously picked the wrong items; there is enough to choose from each d [... read more]ay; variety of meat, fruit, and veggies. Bread was not always available, but that is because all of Cuba is short of flour! Considering what is available to them, kitchen staff does an amazing job of preparing and presenting good food. We keep returning to Cuba NOT for the food, but for the people; all are eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Beautiful Resort

It is a great resort. The Cubans are very friendly and trying hard to please the guests. I was very satisfied with all the services. The only complaint I have is about the noise created by the animation team and different entertainment groups. Some music groups start at breakfast and do not stop all day. People with microphones should lower the volume by at least 50% and everything would be fine.

Hotel was kept clean and staff were all friendly,our room was fair our air conditioner wasn’t the best but worked thank god. The beach was amazing and never will you not find a lounge chair a lot available.The swim up bar and bartenders were great! The food I give it a 5 out of 10 but remember it’s cuba lol. Overall it was a clean fun resort and beds were comfy.

Great time!!

Had a wonderful time during our stay. Hotel and staff were awesome!! Beach and pool area were great and always had chairs available. Food was better than expected. Staff was very accommodating and pleasent to deal with. We will certainly be back to this resort:)

Beautiful Beach!

The resort was outdated, especially our room. However they kept the room, facilities and grounds very clean. The food was not the best but was expected from a Cuban resort. Our favourite was the Japanese restaurant. The pool was nice and always enough chairs for everyone. The beach was amazing, beautiful sand and snorkeling. Again, plenty of chairs!

Good spot for families

Great spot. Has everything. Not a place to go if your single. Large hotel. The little club inside is dead because no singles. Weather was amazing. They ran out of bread and tequila at the hotel. Limited selection of booze. No ginger ale, or cranberry juice to be found. They don’t know what a mudslide is.

Not the best place I've stayed

The hotel is very spread out and you have to walk quite a ways to the beach, to the rooms, to the main lobby. The beach is crowded as all the hotels along that stretch use the beach. The pool is large but since there is only the one, sometimes it gets crowded. The swim up bar has only about 8 stools, mostly occupied by kids or young people throwing back drinks. There are lots of sand flies, or no-see-ums. We got bitten. The rooms are just average. The bathroom stunk of sewage most of the  [... read more]time. The A/C worked well and kept the room cool. The bed was just ok. The room is outdated with crooked pictures, curtains lacking hooks and worn bedspreads. The food gets old after a day or two. The same old thing day in and day out, mostly Cuban style in sauces. However, we were there for Christmas and New Years and they put on a wonderful spread for that. The alacarte restaurants - Italian, Japanese and Cuban were all not as expected. The food is very very salty and I had to ask in the Japanese restaurant to hold back on the salt. The 24 hour restaurant has only chips and burgers and they are not good. If you like alchohol, this is a good place, the booze flows freely. The music by the pool is very loud and the entertainment is mostly for kids and is loud, loud. I will not go back to this resort.

Beautiful Holguin!

This is a great family resort, the pool is large and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is, well it's Cuba, you won't starve and if you book your a la cartes, they are quite good. The rooms are quite nice for Cuba, bigger than others I have visited. What makes this resort stand out is the entertainment! Wow, very professional and not your standard resort variety shows. Would recommend and return!

Home away from home

The playa costa verde staff puts guests first. They always say hello with a big smile, and are lovely people to talk to. Despite how busy it was during the time of year I went, the resort was very clean. And the upkeep was constant. Great place for young/ lively people. Tons of night activities and dancing. As well as small activities during the day

Great place

My husband and I stayed Dec 8 to 22nd and had a wonderful time except for the bug bites. Apparently they are from a no see em fly called a "hen" fly and they are everywhere. Even tho I used inseçt repellant I looked like I had chicken pox. I get bit everywhere I travel in the Caribbean but there were many people who looked like me. Great value

The resort is older but is very well kept and the staff make your stay truly enjoyable. Everything you need is easy to get to and we had a fantastic time. You can purchase a lobster lunch for 11 pesos per person which is fantastic - Maria will help you out - such a nice lady. Yordan from entertainment was wonderful and we enjoyed getting to know him. All the staff are amazing!

Another Great Vacation

The Resort was in great shape, the workers again were very friendly in any part of the resort. Lots of new faces working, some are new trainees. The food was good in the buffet, some could be a little hotter but over all very eatable. There are cooking stations where you can wait for your food to be cooked, well worth it. The beach was good, a storm had washed a lot of sand over the coral close to shore. Recommend water shoes. Pool was clean and very busy, many events going on during the day. Repeat visit not again

I had been to this resort 8 yrs ago and over this last visit i have to say it is just not the same. Staff are great, food has gone down (i am frequent Cuba goer), rooms not fully serviced-they are however clean , pools slimy and moldy on all grout lines. just too many small things they are not paying attention to. I forgot how small the beach is- not a walk-able friendly beach, too many sandflies. Overall it was just ok - but would not go back

Decent resort, beautiful beach

The rooms could use some updating.....our room was on ground floor and smelled musty. Our bed was just on the floor, no headboard, just overall a little outdated. I suggest housekeeping clean the hair out of the sink and bathtub drain trap, that was a little gross. Service in the buffet was great. Service in the a la carts was not very friendly.

Good

Fine, the hotel was clean , food was good and people pleasant. We like the area and what they have to offer. The weather was great. The only one suggestion I have is that the service at the front desk should be faster and more pleasant.

Good Resort

A very clean resort with an amazing beach. Check-in was a bit slow and cumbersome. Rooms a bit dated with broken light bulbs. Pillows were awful. We didn't get an upper floor like we asked for but the room was closer to the beach like we asked for. A few glitches with power and water. Food was typical. Service average, no real standouts. Beach was the best, water wonderful once you figured out how to get past some rocks and coral (bring water shoes). In general it was a nice resort, I always enjoy visiting Cuba, this being my 4th time.

Great time!!

The hotel Is amazing and the staff are helpful! If they don’t have an answer they will direct you to someone who does. Chikky at the kids club is amazing and loves the kids and you can totally see the love with the effort she puts into The activities for them. This has been my second visit and my parents fourth and we plan to return. One thing that they could improve on would be daily bottled water being delivered or replaced in the rooms, also the pool needs some work but I get that in orde [... read more]r to do this it would need to be drained and out of commission.
