Beautiful resort

Very spread out. We didn't get a room anywhere near our friends as requested. Otherwise had a great time. Grounds were stunning, everything clean, friendly staff, beaches superb as were the pools. Good shuttle service throughout the resort.

Great Holiday

Highlights for us... the service was really good, the rooms were very clean, very friendly. There is lots of activities on the beach and in the area. Food and entertainment was above our expectations.

Still Paradise

Our third time staying at Las Brisas. Last time was 5 years ago and the hotel did not disappoint. We stayed in the same building again, as requested, facing the ocean view. Room was super clean and had been newly renovated with fridge stocked every day. Staff were awesome and friendly. The food was good and the entertainment just right for a little dancing in the evening. The grounds are beautiful and the water and beaches are very clean. Many have been multiple times. I think that says a lot for the hotel and Huatulco.

Las Brisas - New Found Favourite Place

With beautiful grounds, tons of amenities, good food, good clean rooms with friendly and accommodating staff, safe warm clear ocean waters to swim, close by safe and friendly community towns to visit and lastly nothing but sunny warm weather...it's definitely become one of our top favourite resorts and places to visit going forward. Our family traveled for two weeks Jan 20 to Feb 3 2017 and had had a perfect vacation. Nothing but sun, relaxation and fun ! Beautifull place

We have spent 7 days in this resort and never regretted it at all. The ground and the Hotel was spotless, the people were friendly and helpful . The food was delicious and always hot. The beach was great, weather perfect. Only one thing that there were not enough lounge chair available, if you got down to the beach late (after 8am) it was almost impossible to get a spot. Our room was good only one problem. We had a very bad sewer smell coming from the drain. Had to open the shower to wash the  [... read more]smell down. Over all our experience was good.

The feeling of classic Mexico

We had a relaxing stay. The beaches are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are genuine and always helpful. The rooms are built into a hillside giving you a beautiful view, but this requires a lot of walking. If you don't want to walk there is always a cart and driver available. The rooms have white linens and are clean. The walkways do not appear as posh as some foreign owned resorts. They have some older concrete and if you are looking for the fanciest place you've been, this resort ma [... read more]y not be for you. The only other negative I can think of is that when we snorkelled the water was murky, however we were told by other guests that this condition didn't exist the previous week. Off resort, the Huatulco towns felt genuine and safe. The merchants are not pushy, giving an overall pleasant experience. The Huatulco landscape is not completely green during the dry season and some trees actually lose their leaves like northern trees do. If you get this vacation for a reasonable price, you should be able to enjoy a relaxing classic Mexican experience. Tripcentral.ca was very helpful as they customized our package for us.

Do Not Fly Transat!!!!!

Hotel was okay, beautiful beaches, it is older at about 35 years old (formerly a Club Med). The big problem in the attitude of Transat Air. One of the group did not have their luggage sent from Regina. Multitude of excuses given (there was a lighter in the checked bag so it was a security threat, it was shipped to Toronto, it was shipped to Regina, it will be here tommorrow) at the end his bag stayed in Regina and Transat made no attempt to send it despite all the excuses. Amazing resort

the resort was beautiful with lush gardens and great ocean views. the food was very good and the specialty restaurants were excellent. the people on the resort and in the towns were very friendly. would go back in a new york minute. shuttles where very quick when you called.

Great getaway

The hotel was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and worked so hard. There was a conference while we were there and they completely transformed the theatre section - in one day! We weren't inconvenienced at all by it. As other reviews mention, the place is hilly. We walked 90% of the time, but the shuttle system is great too. What a beautiful location. Las Brias

Amazing!! We were there in March 2016 and all elements have gone from very good to EXCELLENT !! An amazing relaxed true Mexican setting. Will repeat many times Laid back, great facilities and staff. Only drawback is they want the review to be 200 characters....how many times can you say FANTASTIC!!!!

Had a Great Time

First time on the pacific side of Mexico. Loved the area. It was very convenient flying from Toronto into Huatulco. We spent 10 days at the Las Brisas. Our stay went well. We were in a basic room which was fine for us. We spent very little time in the room. We spent most of the time at the beach. I am a beach person who loves to snorkel. We never had a problem getting a tram. We went to town a lot using the cheap taxi system. We went on a boat ride through Captain George at the beach. He did a good job. There was only three couples on the boat. A lot of the excursions offered in the area are all day and many people participating which did not appeal to me. The majority of the hotel guests were people from Mexico. We found ourselves gravitating to the very few other Canadian guests so we would have someone to talk to. At one point there were only 12 Canadian guests and all the rest were from Mexico. Needless to say the hotel catered to the majority. Two areas I think it in need of improvement are the entertainment and quality of food. The entertainment was the exact same every night. The same songs the same dances etc... They need more variety for sure. The food was not up to Mexican resort standards. I would suggest someone from the hotel go over to the mayan side for ideas on how to improve the food. I always found something to eat it was just the same thing every day. For example of the food quality... They call hot dogs sausages. They are plentiful. I do not go on vacation to eat hot dogs. There was never a boneless skinless chicken breast available. Which to me is a staple. They did not have a grilling section on the dinner buffet only lunch. I am not a seafood eater so this limits my selection. The best meal of the day was the lunch buffet. At least the food was better than in Cuba. I would go back to the Las Brisas if I got a good deal. The beach made up for everything for me. We tipped very generously and it was appreciated. Thanks to Julian and Roberto for taking good care of us. You both work so hard.

We hit the jackpot with this resort

what a beautiful resort. The grounds are kept very clean and the landscaping was amazing. All houses are on a hill, lost of stairs to climb. If you are not able to do this they will shuttle you from and to your room. Beaches are very clean and they have pallapas or sun umbrellas .If you enjoy snorkeling, there is a small coral reef right in the bay. Public bathrooms are very clean. We had a beautiful room with a view of the bay and pacific ocean. Big walk in shower and his & hers sink. The room  [... read more]was very nicely furnished and we had plenty of drawers for our cloth. Room service very good. Fridge filled every day with soft drinks, beer , water and snack. Coffee maker and coffee provided every day. We also saw some amazing birds (chacalaca) Oriole and Turkey Vultures. The resort has 5 Restaurants and we were allowed to eat in all of them. Very good food and excellent service. No shortage of drinks anywhere. Buffets morning , lunch and dinner also very good. Weather was great. We will go back there for sure.

The best resort in Huatulco!

This is an amazing place to go! The pace has like 5 private and amazing beaches, the food is great, the view from the room is awesome, and in general the people is so friendly, they really made my holidays an incredible experience!

Super vacation!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are very friendly and work hard at their jobs. We found the food good at all of the al a carte restaurants, and the buffet was good as well. We received the best service from Juan on the beach every day! He was very quick to bring us our bar refreshments. Eric was our Westjet rep and he was very helpful throughout our stay. If I had one thing that wasn't up to snuff, it was that the girls in the gift shop could not communicate with us very well. They did  [... read more]not speak English which made it difficult at times. We experienced a couple of earthquakes while at the Las Brisas. We found out while there that tremors happen about 300 times per year. We sure would have liked to know that ahead of time! They aren't necessarily bad tremors, but feel visitors should be aware, as it is very common. Overall, our trip was excellent, and plan to go back in the future!

I LOVE this place!

Spectacular staff, beautiful grounds, amazing reef for snorkelling. The buffet was meh this time, but my package included 10 ala carte meals this time so it ended up being ok. Challenge would be hills in the resort but this is circumvented by a shuttle system which runs frequently.

Very Relaxing

Very clean and in a beautiful location. The staff worked their tails off and were very friendly; from check-in to room service to bartenders. Sketchy if any wifi with food that is quite good but not great. Drinks galore with typical poor tasting wine. The beaches were lovely and snorkelling right off the beach. We sailed and kayaked and enjoyed the place fully. It is very hilly but there are carts to transport you all over. Not much English spoken but that was good as this isn't a super tourist [... read more]y area (,closer to Guatemala than to Cabo). Really good service and great pool area. We'd recommend as a "not super pricey" all inclusive.

Great time at this resort

This resort is a 4 star, older building but clean. Food is good at buffet we liked the Mediterranean & seafood restaurant the best ... 3 very safe swim able beaches, awesome snorkelling, our boys had a great time and so did we! There is a lot of walking but we didn't mind the exercise.... Perfect hot weather the whole time! We did the sunset sail through air transat.... Amazing!!

Nice Resort

Food was great, Staff exceptional and smiling all the time especially Daniel who found us a room with a fantastic view of the Bay! Buffet was great and a la carte restaurants were good. Beaches small but, had the choice of 3 different areas.Rooms were clean. Lots of stairs and hills but it added to the character of the resort since we did not have mobility issues.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Clean resort with huge variety of activity

Overall the resort was well maintained and clean. The staff were very friendly and tried their best to accommodate your requests. Family friendly with many activities for any age and preference. Breakfast and lunch buffets were good. Dinner buffet lacked variation.

BEAUTIFUL RESORT, return a must!

First off, we must mention the amazing staff at Las Brisas, Huatulco, Mexico: poolside, the most friendly and attentive Lucilia. Always there each day with a smile and sincere kind words. Our breakfast experience location (which doubled as the Mexican a la carte), was beach side and had a million dollar view, and each morning there was made all the more enjoyable and pleasant by Roberto. Then, there [... read more] is the efficient and friendly service of Tirso and Alberto at La Pergola a la carte restaurant. We must thank all the waiters that served so well and quickly on the beach to quench the thirst of their guests. Our room was very nice, updated and kept so clean and in order by our wonderful maid. We had quick and wonderful service by the car drivers. A call from our room through the front desk to get a car took NO time at all. Believe us, it would of been a hike without the use of 24/7 car service. Speedy, efficient, friendly and respectful attention from these drivers. The resort is built in the natural landscape and the views from these peaks are incredible! Moreover, the ride from the airport to the resort is short so starting your vacation in a beautiful spot in this world is a plus. This was our second time in Huatulco but first time at this resort. We look forward to returning for many reasons: location, weather, hospitality and most all for the respectful efficient service. It was five star.
