Amazing resort!

No complaints. Staff were excellent, food was delicious, and the resort was well maintained and clean. The beach was really nice, though very busy and hard to find a seat at times. Pools were amazing.

Amazing resort!

Hotel room, lobby, grounds and beach very nice! and clean! Access to local shops, nightly entertainment, sports bar and disco! 4 nice big pools in walking distance, access to 2 other resorts. Beaches absolutely beautiful! Buffet and restaurant right off the beach!

Resort needs work

We went to the same resort 2 years ago with unfortunately the same week of bad weather. That's not the resorts fault at all. However this rain exposed the same lack of maintenance experienced 2 years ago. Every single time we used the toilet in our room, water would drip on you. Clearly a leak in the roof. The main dining room still showed the signs of water damage on the ceiling and the walls. There was a table up against the wall that had so much water damage it had black mould on it. The Algae was so bad it was thick and black- not green The 4 x 12 tiles running around the pool bar haven't been cleaned in a very long time. I could continue to go on with things that I saw. Needless to say after 2 very similar experiences 2 years apart we will not be returning to this chain of hotels- ever. Might I point out that this is supposed to be a 4.5 star hotel. Beautiful resort, well maintained.

This resort could easily move up to a 5 star rating with just a couple of improvements. In the opinion of everyone in our group, there is a problem with smoking. There are too many areas for inconsiderate smokers to do their harm. The smoking is allowed in the lobby, on the beach, all around the pool, and other areas as well. It looks to me like the resort is trying to improve, but they still have a long way to go. Smokers light up around babies, toddlers, children, and just about anywhere th [... read more]ey want. Their cigarette butts are thrown all over the resort, and look very unsightly...a real problem esp.aroung the pool area. There should be non-smoking throughout the resort, with just a few smoking sections allowed. The only other complaint was: too many mosquitos on the resort. We all felt there should have been more spraying to help control the mosquito problem. We had mosquitos in our room every night, (we think the cleaning staff open up the patio doors every day while they clean)...and had to try and kill the mosquitos every night before going to sleep, - we didn't always succeed in getting them all. We came away with horrible, multiple mosquito bites.

Wonderful Resort. Has Everything!

This resort has everything you want or need for an amazing holiday. The food is excellent, especially at the different restaurants. While it is a huge complex containing 7 different themed resorts, it is very efficiently run. Facilities and activities for all your vacation needs are all within the resort, including shopping. Quality entertainment shows every night. The pools are very clean, beach wonderful, although difficult to get seating in the shade at times. Great resort!!!

Bahia Principe Punta Cana is a great resort, big but their was always a trolly within 5 min to take you places. We will definitely be back, food was great, service was fast. Staff is friendly, the overall resort was very clean. Beautiful beach of course.

Well worth every penny

We had a fantastic stay. We have been to a LOT of resorts and their staff is by far exceptional in both service and in attitude. The entire place is kept immaculate 24-7. We found the Italian restaurant to be our favorite. We would highly recommend this resort to friends and family. You will be well taken care of here...every last thing. Our safe would not open one evening and we had it taken care of in less than 10 minutes. Best Vacation so far!

My buddy and I stayed here for spring break. Other than there being no real bar open after 6 down by the pools and beach (seems reasonable ... but still want one open) I dont know what you can complain about? This place has great food, great staff, great rooms, great pools, great bars, a great beach.... What else could you ask for? Tip: book your a la carts in advance and make sure you record what time you booked them for! Hope you enjoy your stay, we sure did!

Resort is nice, BUT

Was offered to upgrade upon arrival, accepted and paid, but was very disappointed with the service following. Would not recommend to anybody. When trying to speak to management about issues, all they did was pass the buck to others, got nowhere.

The ultimate vacation spot!

The resort is beautiful! The food is amazing. I think I gained 10lbs after only being there for 7 days! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and you will probably pick up a bit of Spanish during your stay! lol The excursions were planned well and a ton of fun - we went on the party boat and dune buggy tour of Macao. I highly recommend them both as they were a really good time. I am making plans to come back again next year!

Bahia customer service could use some improvement.

The resort is quite large so you need to use their tram system if you want to go to the beach or to your room from the main building. Food is very good and in abundance. Resort is lovely and clean. With the exception of the maids who cleaned our room; the staff only do the minimum that's expected of them. Customer service is not their forte. Information is very difficult to receive as staff is not knowledgeable of what's going on in the resort. Feels like going home

the resort is beautiful and well maintained...........the food is fabulous but the wait staff were not as attentive this year as previous years...........on the beach the waiters and waitress were great and very friendly but most of the ones in the lobby bar and garden bar seemed to be more interested in chatting, dancing with each other or on their cell phones than wait on tables........bar service has always been slow but this year the lobby bar was very slow..........2 waiters and one waitres [... read more]s at the beach restaurant stand out as knowing their jobs well and caring about the tourists........Fransisco and Ramon took good care of us in the morning and at the a la carte restaurant Tequila............the a/c in our room was not very cool and neither was the fridge and the bed was the worst part of the holiday.........I am still suffering from sore back and hips from sleeping on that mattress for 2 weeks............all in all it was a great vacations and we will be returning again next year..........hopefully they will have fixed our minor inconveniences and have someone come to train their staff........big thanks to our room maid .......she did an excellent job and always greeted us with a smile and hello

The good and bad

The good: the resort grounds overall, most of the staff, food, drinks and location. The bad: the resort has a few newer complexes, which are much better then the "Puna Cana" side with respect to smaller crowds, wi-fi access, food and alcohol choices, and cleanliness of room. The latter was a major disappointment and the resort did nothing to address our concerns other than to relocate us to a newer portion of the complex which we already intended to do and pay for personally. Above average

The bar tenders are rude and ignore you and serve watered down drinks. There were roaches in the room. The floater at the pool was $22 USD (much more expensive than buying in USA or Canada). The common menu was almost the same daily. Needs to be different. Food & alcohol should be open 24x7. The casino seems rigged.

Good value

The beach is quite nice. The beach bar and pool bar are quite handy. Staff is good, any requests for services to the room were attended to quickly. Food was good, I felt comfortable eating just about everything.

Large resort

Check in great. No exaggeration of online pictures. Beach was beautiful. More up beat bar tenders would have been nice. Had to go to a shuttle stops to get to the beach. If your key continuously stops working it’s because of the battery in the lock. Over all it was great.

Great atmosphere

Staff were all very friendly, easy going and helpful. There are a few friendly stray cats throughout the resort which helped feed my need for animal love. The beach was beautiful. I recommend you take advantage of the guest service desks (Bahia Principe reps, not the concierge desks) in the lobby to find out everything available to you during your stay instead of relying on your airline rep.

Amazing resort

Great resort great stay great staff beach was outstanding weather was nice and hot day trips were perfect I have no complaints. One thing is for sure you will have a great time at this resort it has everything never had a problem finding something to eat as there is so many choices. As for the travel agent she was outstanding and very helpful with emailing us with everything we would need if we had any problems one of the best agents I've ever had she was perfect and would try to book all my fut [... read more]ure trips with her as it was so smooth thank you sir transit trip central I've been to several places for holidays and makes for a better trip when everything is done right by the agent she is outstanding and a pleasure to deal with. Beautiful

ALL was amazing!!! From the beginning check in to room, to our first buffet All the a LA cartes Everything was perfect. The staff throughout the resort were so very kind especially Yanna Tania and Santa.
