Amazing resort

From the moment we arrived until the time we left the Majestic Colonial everything was perfect. We were able to book and enjoy a swim up room with all Club amenities. This was our second time to this resort and will not be our last. We met many visitors, especially Canadians, who have been there many times. Some more than ten times. The food was very good and well presented. Every night there was a theme for the dining at the buffet. The beach dinner was a nice touch. Awesome Time at Majestic Colonial

We had heard great reviews about this resort from our friends. After spending a week here October 21-28, I can see why they love it so much. We had booked in the Colonial Club (Adults Only) section of the resort. When we arrived we were whisked away to a private room for check in where were served champagne and a selection of snacks. Our suite wasn’t ready until 3PM so our Butler, David, took us to the Colonial Club Lounge in the Colonial Club section of the resort. There were change ro [... read more]oms, washrooms, food, water, pop drinks and and area for us to relax or get ready to head to the pool or beach. When we got to our suite, we were pleased. Well appointed with all the amenities. From time to time during our stay there was an unpleasant smell in our suite but when we addressed it with our Butler, her had it tended to right away. The food at the resort was good/great but not outstanding. Nothing that leaves a lasting impressions. We did not get sick at all. Although at our last meal at the buffet, my husbands chicken was not fully cooked, so make sure to check for that. The beach is among the best we have ever been to. Nice beach for a long walk. This resort seems to be know for it’s weddings. There were several while we were there. The service is what sets this resort apart from the others. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Every worker you encountered from the groundskeepers to our Butler were very friendly and accommodating. Even when we registered at the buffet some morning, the hostess would ask if there was anything we needed in our room. Service is above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to return someday.

Another Amazing Trip

As I sit reflecting on the last fantastic 9 day’s I cannot imagine why anyone would feel unsafe here. This marks our 8 th visit. The beach is amazing we love the attention we got from Junior , Irene and Henry (by the way he makes the best Majestic).To all the wait staff, gardeners the maids everyone always stops to say Hola. Great resort with very welcome staff

We loved our large and clean room. The resort was perfect - beautiful beach and pool . We celebrate our son birthday and the staff were absolute amazing with all the room decorations . At the french restaurant they really make our evening memorable . We would love to return for a longer stay.

Awesome experience!

Great vacation spot. The pool and beach were amazing. The food and drinks were good and the staff were friendly. Would consider going back for sure. We were recommended this spot by many others and it lived up to the expectations.

Simply wonderful

Everything was exceptional, properly is well maintained, amazing room service, delicious food (lots of options) and fun entertainment program. It’s one of those times when expectations meet the reality. Also just wanted to point out - the resort is very very green, lots of palm trees and flowers, So enjoyable. Big thanks to the staff!

Excellent Resort

Excellent resort. Short drive (25mins) from Punta Cana Airport. We were upgraded to an ocean view room complementary. Check in was an ease. No restrictions on which restaurants you could book and how many times you can book them. Buffet was nice with a different theme nightly. Pool was huge and flowed through the resort. Finding a place to sit was an ease. Resort grounds were immaculate and well maintained. Beach was nice and the resort did a great job at clearing any seaweed. Very nice

This Resort was beautiful. Everyone that works there was so nice very hard workers. We felt safe no issues. The bar by the pool there is a awesome lady by the name of Sofia she’s so nice and amazing customer service so caring. There is a lot of bad things going on with this resort but honestly we felt safe I’m glad we didn’t cancel . This place has is worth your money for sure hands down .

Amazing place to stay

I have just came back from the mejestic colonial resort in punta Cana and I can say that it was my first but most safe trip. As I was so scared about the stories that were told about a number of things when I reached there I felt like I was in a safe zone this resort is so family oriented and aswell as the club side. Food wise I’m a vegetarian and I can say breakfast and lunch was good but kind of the same thing everyday which was fine but dinner I did not like because all the dinner spots like the French restro and Japanese restro alll has only meat options and I didn’t like that I wish there was more of a option for vegetarians but overall I had an awesome stay and felt really safe with the area, staff , and my surroundings. 7.5/10

Excellent, Amazing, Fantastic

The resort is very clean ... the grounds are well maintained ... the people are courteous and helpful ... the room clean, well maintained and very inviting ... I really recommend this hotel to any one ... the many restaurants they have are amazing ... the buffet has a different theme each night ... the night activities are enjoyable to watch ... I plan to come back to this resort many times in the future.

Money Well Spent

This was our first couples vacation and this resort exceeded our expectations. The grounds well maintained especially the beach area. The staff were always cheerful, helpful and a joy to interact with. The food was good with various selections and the nightly shows were very entertaining. Our butler Jacob was top notch as he went out of his way to make our vacation experience magical. We play to return with our kids for a family vacations.

Yes, Majestic Colonial is an Amazing resort!

First of all, l want to mention that I can't believe some people are complaining about this resort. It was one of our best experience here. Starting with the check-in, which was fast and nicely done, then the room was so impressive, big, clean and we were waited with a bottle of champagne and a big plate with fruits. The buildings are so nicely constructed, all simetric, you can't get lost. The three pools along the buildings are so nice, surrounded by Bali beds and lots of chairs. Restaurants and buffets do very good job, food and drinks being great, lots of variety and high quality. Bars are spread all over so everyone can get drinks when they get thirsty. People, starting with the ones from the reception (both receptions) are lovely, very polite and doing a great job. All the waiters, barmans, maids, clergymen and workers have a pleasant smile on their faces when they say Hola! We loved your resort, Majestic Colonial Punta Cana! We hope to come back soon!

Majestic Colonial

We had traveled to the Majestic Colonial on April 15th. First impression, the resort is very well kept and grounds are clean. I would have to agree with other comments that the front desk is not overly friendly. English is not well spoken here as others say it is but there was a lot of workers that do not at all. I would say half of the employees are generally pleasant, but others move at a snails pace (slower than island time). As for accommodations, the rooms are nice but if you are travell [... read more]ing with a family, you will find it a bit difficult. The bathroom areas are poorly designed. You have a toilet room which is the size of the toilet room on a plane (no exaggeration at all!) the door is glass and frosted, no privacy for anyone. The shower is very large, they could have reconfigured some space to allow for a larger toilet space. There is a tub out in the open and in the open area of the main room/sink area. Just poor design to shower, change and use bathroom if your with all the family around. Food: Not bad, you definitely will not starve! My suggestion, go to the Rodeo Restaurant for Breakfast/Lunch buffet and if you need to, dinner as well. The supreme buffet (main buffet) is not great. POOR service. The servers run around everywhere but nothing gets done or drinks served. I even had food dropped on me from behind from a server cleaning another table and with no apology. The servers at the Rodeo area (Juan Louis, Carlos, Melvin & Rodriguez) are awesome! They actually remember you and serve you as if you were family! We tried the Rodeo Steakhouse and also the Seafood House (same area split in 2) food was great just ask for 2 entrees. Japanese was great as well and fun! Beach: Very good, not perfect but they try. Ocean is very wavy and can get tiresome. What we did find annoying is that there is someone always trying to sell you something. It becomes a headache after 2 days. Even the Beach merchants will leave you alone quicker than the resort merchants. Overall, nice place but we will not be repeat visitors of the DR. We find Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean must better and less sales tactics. We would recommend this hotel but it is just not our thing.

Great resort

The grounds were spectacular, pool amazing, fantastic food and drink on a whim. Staff were wonderful. There were a few issues (a fire in the spa, a malodorous room) but all in all it was a great place. The bar service was spectacular!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

This was our first time going to an all inclusive resort and The Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana was beautiful! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very clean and well maintained...beautiful. the service was amazing! The food...all kinds of different cuisines and it was yummy!! #1 in our books!

This was our 4th trip to Majestic Colonial Punta Cana since 2011. We did try another resort once but decided the Majestic was the best choice for us. Lots of palapas at the beach for shade, great drinks (premium liquors), great food with lots of variety, and beautiful rooms that are well stocked and impeccably maintained. The best is the staff- always friendly and always willing to provide the best service possible. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing resort

We’ve never had better service at a resort. The grounds and beach are stunning. There is a huge selection of food, so always something to eat. Great app for reservations and menus. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing time!

First the staff were amazing and friendly and our Butler Francisco was so kind and thoughtful our entire trip! the grounds as always are so beautifully manicured and clean The food was good but could have been a little more variety beach was very clean all the time and never an issue finding chairs we enjoyed the adult pool but also did wander to the very large main pool drinks were with known name alcohol and they would make anything you asked for!

Amazing Resort!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Majestic Colonial for a week and this resort met and surpassed all of our expectations. I would say this is one of the only resorts I have stayed at where you can leave your belongings on the beach and go for lunch and not have to worry about them.
