Excellent resort

Very clean resort,the people at the Palladium are smiling and saying Hello to us!! Restauants food and the main restauant very clean and different foods available.The grounds are kept beautiful and clean.

Memorable Trip

The best resort my husband and I have been on in the 13 years we've been taking annual trips to the Caribbean Islands. The staff were incredibly helpful and always greeting us with a smile. Our room # 1527 was ocean view (to our pleasant surprise) and kept very clean and welcomed with a tropical fruit platter. The food was good, we usually prefer to eat our meals at the buffets because of the variety and this was exceptionable. The only ala la carte we ate at was Italian which was good, but they had many to choose from. We also went to the entertainment on Sunset Cove one evening where we thoroughly enjoyed a bonfire it was my first ever experience. I will definitely return to this resort. I loved everything about it.

Really good but not perfect

It's big. Absolutely amazing food, unlimited! Free room service had is own menu which had a good selection and quality of food. (I wasn't impressed that when I ordered for a specific time that they brought it 40 minutes early!) Unfortunately we didn't know about room service menu until 5th day cause they forgot to leave a menu in our room. Really great pool. Lots of bars and wine/rum. (Obviously gift shops and excursions aren't included either!) They will try to get you to buy a membership for a wack load of money and paint it up to be extremely good deal. Trust me, the deal isn't nearly as good as it sounds! By listening to their sales pitch for 90 minutes we got a $300 spa services voucher. I would say that was extremely over rated price. What we got for $300 USD spa was an 80 minute massage. I wouldn't pay $50 for it. I figured I got about $30 worth of value for it. Ocean view room is worth $20 extra but we got it since we're honeymooners. Jacuzzi was extremely leaky by the drain which I fixed myself in a few minutes. You definitely don't want ground floor if you have an option. Unless you're the type that loves talking to the staff that walk by and don't mind people walking right past you when you sit there in your little patio. We took Mystic Mountain adventure through the resort ($334 USD for 2). I'm of the firm belief if i would have walked out of the resort and hired my own private taxi I could have done all that at my own pace for at least $100 USD less. I found out later. There is TV in the room. No dvd players or computers. Lots of programs going every day and evening that we didn't do cause we're on honeymoon and wanted more quiet and alone time.

Beautiful resort !!!!

The resort was in good shape some renovations being done around the rooms were very clean and grounds were spotless and well groomed the food was really good with great selection of food in the main dining area as well as the 7 restaurants throughout the resort.The staff was really nice and helpful and would go out of their way to accommodate you the bars throughout were great with live entertainment. CONS: 1. we did have trouble getting our mini bar in our room stocked with water,soft drinks a [... read more]nd beer but did get it sorted out. 2.Our shower head in the bathroom came apart enabling us to take a shower properly after three calls to maintenance and 2 days it was finally repaired. I would diffidently go back for another stay for sure. :)

Best resort so far

Fabulous resort. Been to Dominican Cuba and Mexico. Loved Jamacia the most so far. Great food. Friendly helpful people. Pools were excellent Big but easy to get a shuttle/trolley Very clean. Sunset cove had the best beach area.

Great Resort!

Resort was very clean, staff were extremely friendly, food was very good. The resorts was large enough that you could spend a day in a different spot every day and not get bored of the same thing after day 4. For those looking for long walks along a beech, this is not the resort for you. However, the pool is massive.

Breathtaking views

The resort was a lot bigger than expected and exceeded all expectations. There's a large variety of restaurants and things to do for leisure and fun. Friendly staff and service. Great for a getaway with friends or family. Beautiful scenery and romantic views of sunsets. Definitely worth the money. Also, anything you need they can supply. Ya mon!

5-Star Resort! You definitely should go!

We stayed for 7 days at the Grand Palladium Jamaica, and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! The resort is very big, gorgeous, and well kept. There are so many things to do and things to see just on the grounds itself. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, the various a-la-carte restaurants had a good variety of menus. They have the biggest pool in Jamaica there and it's gorgeous and huge! Although it is a little far from the main cities (Montego Bay, Negril), it was still central enough to travel easily to them if you wish to go. Will definitely need to visit other Grand Palladium resorts after this one!

This was an amazing resort. It was very large but very well laid out. The grounds were very well kept. the rooms were very nice. they were large, clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The food was also very good and offered a large assortment. We especially loved the table laid out with the cheeses. The pool and beach areas were amazing. the negatives. The golf carts that we were told would be around every few minutes, were very hard to find. We were travelling with two elderly ladies who  [... read more]desperately needed these carts but were never able to find them. One of these ladies finally called the management and complained about this. This seemed to help a bit. The other negative is the workers. In particular the front desk check in girl and the restaurant workers. We usually travel to Mexico and find the people there (we have gone to many different areas and different resorts) to be much friendlier. I am not too sure if the people in Jamaica are not of the same nature or if it was the resort. Their attitudes did impact our feel of the place though. We are not sure if we will book with the Palladium chain again?

Good resort

dining can be improved - not enough fruit , salad, veggie selection. Indian restaurant food was served warm not hot, service was poor, itilian service was poor, not enough flavor at the buffet. Buffet service was good. overall resort was good.

Amazing resort

Ground are super clean and there are so much things to do. They had an amazing dance troupe showing the evolution of music and dance, and the food was amazing. I definitely plan to go back again, and this will be the place that I am staying.

Very Good

Open concept, beautiful breathe from the ocean right into the lobby. Nice walk between the units and to the main lobby. Great friendly staff, probably people of that island are the highlight of the trip. The unit walls not well isolated, easy to hear people talking when ur trying to sleep. Cricket sounds at night, eventually u get used to that. Now the food...not bad overall many choices. The desserts are a disaster. Every time in went to get dessert (my reason for having a meal). I kept thinkin [... read more]g whoever is making these desserts should be fired. Sorry harsh but really a waste of flour, sugar and butter. Except one night, happens to be my last, a panacotta dessert....amazing. Ice cream... that chocolate soft ice cream. I couldn't get the first spoon in past my lips and pushed it away along with the cake, pastry....whatever that's suppose to be considered. The ingredients are there, just hire someone who can put it all together right. Sorry harsh but better be truthful since no one is judging. Otherwise it was a nice place to be. Oh the rooms where beautifully decorated.

Great Vacation

We stayed at Grand Palladium Jamaica Spa. Our friends stayed on the other side, Lady Hamilton. To keep it simple, I will use point form. 1-Clean hotel. 2-Clean room. We did have trouble with our patio door not locking, fridge not cool enough and shower leaking. However, a stop into the front desk had someone up in our room quickly and everything was resolved with no more issues. 3-Huge resort. If you have issues with walking, you will have problems. I don't understand how the Mexican restaurant ran out of Guacamole or the sports bar ran out of Jerk Chicken. 5-Beach-The best beach Sandy Cove, very hard to get to if you have problems walking. Very steep hill to get down and climb up to get to the washrooms and drinks. 6-Staff. Overall very friendly and helpful. The spa people are annoying. As you walk along the lower level by the buffets, they offer their services. I stopped to ask a question about beads and next thing I know, I'm signed up for a full head, with no cancellation options. I was very annoyed with that. On the day of, I wasn't feeling well and the lady who booked me was able to cancel me, but only because she was the one that wrote the ticket up. DO NOT sign for anything in the hallways. 7-Pools-I only went to the main pool but LOVED it!! Its huge! Overall, I would recommend this resort and may return. Jamaica is a beautiful country and the Grand Palladium was a great place to experience it.

Grand Palladium Jamaica

Very clean, friendly staff, great food. Pools & beaches were very clean. lots of activities on the resort. Can't complain. Price was good too. Hotel room was clean, thank god for AC in the rooms. the only thing I didn't try was the spa (didn't have time) and the gym is great too.

Beautiful experience, kind and caring staff.

Everything was absolutely fabulous!!! I'd go again tomorrow. I loved every part and have no complaints, except for the afternoon downpours. That is something nobody can control. Lol The staff in every prat of the resort were so accommodating.

Beautiful wedding, smooth ceremony!

The wedding was beautiful and a dream come true! The wedding coordinator did a great job following the instructions for the decorations, also she was standing by just in case... the photographer was amazing! When we arrived, everything was ready and it felt intimate even if people were close by. The reception at the Blue Lagoon was very well organized and the staff was very pleasant, and we all had fun when it was time to dance. All the pools have a lots of chairs available and clean. The staff is very friendly and kind and love a chat when passing by with no hidden agenda. The restaurant are pretty good too. The beaches were ok (all the bartender were very nice). The best one is Sunset cove, it is the farthest away, and is where the catamarans, paddle boats, kayaks are. It is nice area to relax in with a lovely outlook. The jerk pork & chicken was delicious.The set up is pretty good and the beach is very well kept! You can wait for the buggy to take you there, and the wait is between 5 to 15 minutes. Depending on where is your village, you have to do a lot of walking!

What a resort

This resort is huuuuge!!! We were there for a week, and there are parts we never got around to check out! The pool is amazing. The food is ok, could have been a bit better. We were travelling with a group, and from sharing our experiences we concluded that the restaurants seem to have good and bad nights. They also seem to take some creative license with the dish compositions vs what is written on the menu, probably according to what they have on hand. Sunset Cove is the best beach though, calm water and nice sand, if a little harder to get to. Thank god for the shuttles that constantly zoom around! Our wedding was wonderful, very glad we chose to have it here. The staff really went above and beyond to give us a special day. One minus is that the lobby and way to the restaurant/buffets always has staff trying to sell you on spa services and excursion, and some can be a little aggressive. We were descended upon not 5 minutes after our arrival, without so much as a chance to actually check in. One lady who I think was trying to sell time shares actually scolded my sister-in-law for not going off with her to listen to her spiel. So that was annoying, but as the days went on we got better at ignoring and walking away.

Destination wedding

Dining was very nice. Service was above and beyond. Bars and common areas were pleasant. There is always someone asking if we would like a spa treatment. Rooms are nice except the bathrooms. No exhaust and always felt damp and mouldy. Staff were excellent

Awesome resort

Beautiful setting, spacious and clean rooms, great variety in dining. Only negative dining event was the filet I had at the steak house. Friendly and efficient staff and they weren't pushy in trying to sell anything, be it services or retail.

Excellent resort

I booked it for my daughter and son in law's honeymoon and they love it. They would go back. They enjoyed every minute of it. They said the resort was beautiful, the food was great and the pple and service excellent.
