Nice resort

Hotel was very nice. Rooms spacious and clean. Grounds very well maintained. Great staff. Friendly always with a greeting. Beach unfortunately was suffering from the sea weed this year but resort made valiant efforts to keep it under control. Would recommend

Excellent resort

- Excellent resort close to Cancun Airport, nice sandy beach albeit "infected" with algae near the shore. Adequate not excellrnt

The staff were good and friendly. The food was particularly bad, The cooked meat was tough to eat. I would not return nor trvord this. Place. Saw d number of people fall on the slippery tile floors. Several appreared serious falls! The pools and beach were very good and easily accessible , clean and well maintained.

Gorgeous Resort

Pros; Wonderful resort. Great restaurants. Best Buffet ever. Have stayed at Riu’s, Iberostar’s,Bahias, Palladium’s and Barcelo’s. The H10 chain of resorts are the best. We stayed at the Paradise last year. Also, excellent. Staff fabulous! Always cheerful, helpful, and would go the extra mile for any requests. Cons: Need more elevators in the far reaching blocks 1000-3000. Getting older and the knees and hips aren’t what they used to be. Had to walk from the 3000-5000 block from [... read more] the 4th floor to take one. Too far, especially at the end of the day. However, will definitely be back. Room also, was beautiful!

Excellent resort

I traveled with my elderly parents the last week in January 2019. When deciding on a resort I specified that I wanted a smaller resort with easy beach, pool and restaurant access and Nicole Deforest recommended this resort. We were extremely pleased with everything! Clean, friendly staff, excellent food, easy access. I would very much recommend this hotel.

Beautifull Resort

Ocean Coral was a beautiful resort and the restaurants were very good. we enjoyed the buffet at Breakfast and Lunch. Lots of choices for 4 everyone. There are 4 omelet stations in the morning so the wait was very short. The waiter will even bring you Cappacicino or Lattes . One down side was the liquor selection for the sta [... read more]ndard package, the rye was unacceptable(LDT brand or Less than Desireable Taste), CC was an upgrade but there were 4 scotch choices and 3 bourbon choices, once again catering to our US neighbours. I'm a rye drinker in the evenings. The drinks around the pool were very good. There was also lots of sparkling wine all day. The beach was very ruff and yes the seaweed is a problem but the staff works very hard to take it away every day. Lots of lounges and palapas. The pool deck is quite tight because of the amount of Bali beds that take up space so the lounges were close together but at least you got to know the people around you. The rooms were bright and spacious and the grounds magnificent. I don't think that the extra cost for the premium package is worth it the pool is very small and the bar is inside .

Great vacation

The resort was great (not as big as others, easy to get around, clean)! Our rooms were clean (a little musty smelling but we had a lot of rain). The majority of the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help, the food was satisfactory to great (depending on where we ate). Really enjoyed our meals at the Japanese, Italian and Mexican restaurant. Found the steaks at the steak house really fatty and the food at Route 66 (after dinner hours - cold and unappealing). Very nice resort

Our second visit to Oceans. The best food we've found in the area. The staff is great, everything is clean, and a nice beach. Quiet areas and action areas, something for everyone. Bartender Carlos Cuevas made the best drinks at a little snack bar by the kids pool and Waiter Eduardo Ceurcia kept our glasses full while we were on the beach. At night Bartender Johnson kept us well entertained in the main lobby bar.

Ocean Coral & Turquesa - Jan 4/19

The grounds at this resort are well maintained. The resort bedroom we had could use some paint. Very clean rooms, no complaints. Best thing about this resort is the service! The staff were amazingly friendly, professional and good at there jobs. If you ask for something its done asap. Never had to ask twice for anything. We changed rooms after first night as there was only one bed and we needed two. Our move was seamless and done quickly. New room was great. The staff were well trained and really wanted us to be happy at all times. “Alberto” was our favourite server because he was always smiling and super quick at his job. It was nice not to have to bother making reservations at the restaurants (except Japanese which was very good). Mexican restaurant and Route 66 restaurants were not good. The steak house was good, along with the Japanese one. The resort is built right on the ocean and most rooms had an ocean view. It’s a great place for mature adults as its very quiet. No noise issues at all. If you are young and single, this isn’t the place for you! The H10 brand sales staff were annoying, but if you tell them strongly you aren’t interested in buying into the H10 resorts they will leave you alone. If you’ve never been to Mexico before, best advice I can give you is when you arrive at airport and have your luggage and need to get to the transfer vehicle, just keep walking and don’t listen to the sales people trying to sell you transportation and everything else under the sun...keep walking and saying no and make your way outside the airport and for the transportation vans provided to take you to your resort. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this resort to my friends is because of the food...but I’m also a fussy eater.

Amazing Resort for People with Allergies

My girlfriend and I were looking for a hotel with a big room and a beachfront. The hotel was beautiful and about a 20 min ride from the airport. Food was great considering my gf and I have food allergies and the entertainment was amazing. I have seafood, chicken, egg and nut allergies and they accommodated pretty good. My only drawback is that during the day, there isn’t much day activities that are indoors but that is just minor and I heard they are opening a bowling alley in 2019. Amazing experience and resort!

This hotel was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved that we did not need reservations to the restaurants and food was accessible 24/7! Staff was outstanding and the daily activities were perfect

Great Place for Family

We were guests at the OCT during the Christmas Break with a party of nine, ages 16 to 76. We dined at the buffet and tried all the a la cartes. The selection of food was excellent and no one complained about the quality which was above average but not quite gourmet. The pool is located near the beach and volleyball court which made it easy to keep the gang together. The property is well maintained and service is always provided with a smile. Like most of the Mayan coast, the ocean bottom does have coral here and there, and on windy days (9 out of 10 during our visit), the water is not clear. Personally, I enjoyed getting out for a bike ride every day. There are lots of quiet paved roads and the the wide shoulder on highway 307 feels quite safe. I even got to see crocodiles in the wild during one of my rides. During the holiday season this is a busy resort with lots of families and young people. However, if you are there for quiet and relaxation there there are lots of locations in the resort where you can avoid the crowd. We were especially grateful that Anne, or agent, was able to secure an ideal room, close to everything, for my wife who is recovering from a number of bone fractures.

OK Resort

Good resort in general. 30 mins from Cancun Airport. Room was OK, very small bathroom, very loud air conditioner, view of trees only (building 4), pool was freezing, some a la cartes were great, buffet was good.

Great all-inclusive with much to offer

We really enjoyed our 9-night stay at Ocean Coral & Turquesa over Christmas. We had been to 2 all-inclusives in Dominican Republic (Hard Rock Casino - Punta Cana & Dreams La Romana) in the past which we had really enjoyed. Ocean Coral met & possibly exceeded our great experiences in DR. The beach is huge (the hotel has a very, very long beach -- much longer than most, if not all, of the neighbouring resorts). Our kids (18, 16, 13, 13) had a great time as well. Lots to do, many restauran [... read more]ts to eat at, nice staff, etc. The weather was very good overall. A couple of evenings were a bit coolish & it was good we had brought our long-sleeved options. Had some great day trips to Tulum, a cenote and a bike ride to Puerto Morelis. Plus a snorkelling outing which was excellent (which we did through Light House Tours at a great price & with excellent guides). Kids loved playing beach volleyball - everyday! Food was great. Seafood was very fresh & very well prepared at each restaurant. Meat options were also excellent. The variety of food options at the various restaurants was great. Coffee shop was also excellent. We didn't get a chance to try the Japanese restaurant as it was very booked up & we left it too late to try making a reservation (when we called there were no openings for a few days which was too late in our case). Lots of good entertainment each night was fun as well. Only complaint would be noisy neighbours a few nights which we were quite easily able to deal with. Guest services often didn't answer calls but call the room service number instead -- they were very responsive & able to redirect calls to front desk.

The good,bad & ugly

Nice hotel overall but it is somewhat isolated. Service and staff are excellent. The room water/shower have a strong sulphur smell as do the towels and linen. The food is above average with lots of restaurants none of which requires reservations. The house wines could use with an upgrade in quality. All other liquor is good.

Nice resort but over booking is a problem

We booked Dec 6 - 13 but when we arrived they had no room available so we were sent down to the Ocean Paradise for two days. Ocean C&T: Room was good, lots of palapas on the beach but the ocean was not nice due to a seaweed issue. Grounds well kept. Food OK, found two of the a la cares way too noisy for a pleasant dining experience. Nice pools. Wouldn't return.

Good resort,just needs an update.

The employees at this resort are amazing and speak exceptionally great English. The hotel furnishings are worn and outdated. The room we stayed in is very dated and the mattress has out done it’s service life. The maids did a great job on keeping it clean. Hotel grounds are in pristine condition, thanks to the grounds people. Beach was good besides the sea weed, which is totally uncontrollable. The fella running the tractor did remove it daily. Pools were in good condition.lounge beach chairs [... read more] were beat up and worn. Food was pretty good did not have any issues,buffets were ok. Ala carts were very good.and did not need a reservation except for the Chinese. Nightly entrainment was kinda Blah. The location of the resort was poor if you wanted a taxi ride into town, 17 USD each way. 2 min ride. Not much there. Take the Free bicycle tour in the morning if you are interested in going to town. It is close to the airport which is nice.25 minute bus ride. Overall the resort is very easy to get around and would recommend it.

Spectacular Hotel!

This hotel was amazing! It’s so beautiful and so large! It’s very big yet has an intimate feel because the staff are so lovely! The staff will always greet you and make your stay even more special! There is a huge selection of food and a la carte restaurants. There’s an ice cream shop, a coffee shop and a crepe restaurant! I was in heaven! So delicious! Nice Resort

The resort was nice @ the floral was well kept. The food in restaurants was very good but not stocked with basic items : bacon, bananas, butter. Restaurants were closed giving no notice. Information on the restaurants was hard to find. The room was excellent. The lane way up to the hotel was very junky.

Wonderful resort

This was our first time at Ocean Coral Turquesa Mayan Riviera and it will not be the last. The resort was amazing. It met our expectations in every way from excellent service, good food and high standards of cleanliness.As well we felt safe and secure at this property. The entertainment team provided activities daily for our enjoyment. The bike ride into Puerto Morelos was a highlight .Thankyou to West Jet vacations and Trip Central for well organized vacation.
