Spectatular Vacation ( A Must Go)

The resort was absolutely Beautiful, warm welcome upon arrival with drinks available and fast easy check out on departure, immaculate well kept property, Very Safe, food was excellent, plenty and lots ( except breakfeast bacon), drinks were very good, servers were very up beat and friendly. Ala carte's were very good as well, rooms were very modern, includes hot tub, clean and spacious. All our accommodations were exactly as requested. Resort is huge with lots of walking and to ocean (good to lo [... read more]ose a few pounds), Chill Out Bar at ocean front, waste of $13 / person. Chairs at ocean are free and same view. Staff were very nice and cheerful, had a GREAT time and were close to pools. Shuttle to Playa Del Carmen available for $4 / person, great deal. Trip to and from airport were very easy and aprox. 45 min. Would recommend this resort and come back as several people on resort were returning vacationers. Great vacation and memories, all was more than we expected. Would recommend to friends / family for future vacations.

Spectacular!

An amazing place to stay. We opted for the Platinum Suites and our entire vacation exceeded our expectations. The service was incredible. The grounds are beautiful. The food was excellent. Can't wait to go back!

Just another resort

Expansive and well kept grounds. Nice 10-12 min walk from the beach to the main reception area. Shuttle every 15 min available. I would only recommend this resort with the Platinum upgrade which gives you accommodations near the beach which provides the following: server in assigned beach area, platinum lounge with snacks and better alcohol selections, free wifi in building and rooms and access to unlimited themed restaurants with reservations. The breakfast buffet is good while the lunch/dinner [... read more] buffet is average at best. The themed restaurants were excellent! The staff service is excellent and a touch of humour from some of them. I wasn't thrilled with the nightly entertainment but passes the time for some craving some activities. The beach area is very rocky and folks are crammed like sardines. They also offer a buffet style lunch all afternoon serving hot dogs, hamburgers, salsa and some type of wrap at times.

Second trip and still wonderful.

This was our second trip to the resort and it did not disappoint. Wonderful staff, rooms, dining, beach and resort. We would certainly go to this resort again. Great value! The resort is quite large, so people with mobility issues may find that difficult, however they do have regular shuttles between areas of the resort. We enjoyed the exercise.

Amazing, Outstanding ... Can't say enough about it

This resort was recommended to us by my niece and it didn't disappoint. We upgraded to the Platinum level and I would do this again, private area(s) with butler service is the way to go. The grounds are very well kept, the beach amazing, the food was good with lots of variety. The staff are all very accommodating. This resort is very large so if you don't like to walk maybe this isn't the place for you. We are planning on a return visit next year.

Amazing resort!!!!

We've been to the grand riviera princess three times now and LOVE it!!!! It's our resort and will definitely be going back again!!! Everything was clean and the service is wonderful!!! The beach is also very clean and beautiful!!! A great place to go to!!

Relaxing Resort

This hotel was very relaxing. Very clean. The food was also very nice. The beach had rocks in some parts. Other than that, amazing resort. The a la carte restaurants filled up quickly, so make sure to book as soon as you get there.

Nice all inclusive resort - Great Value

I enjoyed this resort the grounds are impeccable the rooms extremely clean and the food decent. The ocean is large rare for this part of Mexico and the beach lunch is great. Burgers, hotdogs, fries and tacos. Particularily liked the bar service on the beach very relaxing. The Spa is nice too for a change of pace enjoyed the disco and the 24 hour sports bar.

Spectacular Spot!!

We recently stayed at the Grand Riviera Princess to attend a wedding. We were amazed at the beauty this resort offered! If you haven't been here before it's a must visit!! We have nothing to complain about, our trip was simply AMAZING!!

Very Clean Resort

We stayed here over the Christmas Holidays, so it was busy! Cleanliness: Excellent, one of the best I have stayed at for cleanliness Resort activities: I travelled with 2 teenagers. They enjoyed the sports bar, but besides that there wasn't a lot to do for them. If travelling with small children more activities for them. They did have a fabulous New Years Party!!!!!! I found for the the most part staff were pleasant, let's face it you can get a grumpy person anywhere yu go! Beach: Nice sand, but in water it is rocky, like most of the coast here. Platinum section of beach, not enough chairs or staff for this section. Drink service poor at this area. Dining: Meals were average to good when yu got seated. We made reservations the first day we got there for most of the week. It seemed chaotic when yu checked in with hostess for dinner, and not always did they get your reservation, so make sure you have the slip of paper that they give you with your reservation time with you. Restaurants are not well labelled outside, so it might take you a while to get the right one. Rooms: Clean. Accurate pictures and descriptions online. Platinum worth extra $.

Horrible resort

Service is terrible as well as the food. Over priced resort not worth the value. Lobby service was rude and ignorant. Rooms were basic and not cleaned until late in the afternoon. I highly do not recommend this resort to anyone wishing to travel to mexico.

Great resort

Overall well kept and great resort.There are many choices for eating with great variety.The food and service was excellent and it is a large resort but never felt crowded at buffet,pools and entertainment.Most staff were helpful and friendly. It is not a good choice if someone has mobility problems.There is a shuttle service every 15 minutes but more like every 30 and often full.Even with the shuttle there is a LOT of walking to get around. There is an abundance of pool areas but some of the sur [... read more]face is extremely slippery.In our group of 30 at least 15 fell at pool areas and the resort needs to do something to correct the problem.

Great resort

We have been to this resort now 5 times. It is great with friendly staff and 5 star treatment. Restaurants are great along with buffet. Rooms are beautiful with everything you could want. Will go back again.

Excellent hotel !!!

The staff did everything to make our stay wonderful. The hotel and grounds were impecible. The food was great and the cold self serve beer keg and food at the beach bar came in handy lol. The hotel room was huge and super clean; a little hint - if you want extras in the mini fridge leave a tip. Entertainment was good and the multiple pools were nice, clean and felt like you were in paradise with all the palm trees. It is worth taking the shuttle bus into playa del carman for shopping.
