Hotel Atlantico: Very nice beach one of the best

Nice hotel always hot water, good food and good atmosphere . very close from havana a bus take you to old havana everyday and bring you home at 5pm there is a few town near by .the staff was very friendly and always ready to help and the beach is exceptional

Hotel Atlantico: Needs A Big Over Haul In Cleanliness And Customer Service

The hotel needs more cleanliness and maintenance. The level of hygiene in the dining room is really bad. I got a bout of food poisoning the last time and I've met other people who got sick. I have never seen anyone wash the dining room tables.They use a brush to dust off the table and place mats. The place mats are dirty and sticky. They rarely wash or change them. The same in the rooms, they don't change the sheets regularly and towels are not very fresh looking. The bed covers are really dirty [... read more] and disgusting looking. Housekeeping is always sloppy. The gardens and public areas need more cleaning. The poolside entertainment is over the top loud and annoying. The DJ guy shouts and screams enough to be heard all over the hotel. Sometimes they have had some low volume easy listening music which was more pleasant. Everyone complains about the shocking screaming and shouting from the DJ but he doesn't seem to understand how obnoxiously loud it is. The reception staff are very rude and unhelpful. Delvis is the most helpful and friendliest of them all. They are very unpleasant.

Hotel Bella Habana: Nice hotel!

It was a good hotel. Very nice location. We ended up getting to Havana around 3am in the morning but our check in was smooth and we had a room within 15 mins. This hotel is very good value. I recommend this hotel.

Marazul Hotel: Fair-ish

If you have not been cuba, it may be worthwhile going, however its not for everyone. Standards are low, given the price its expected. Food was bland and repetitive. Rooms are basic and hotel is kinda old but is near a nice beach. Transportation is not as advertised, says its free but it was a hassle and ended up paying 5cuc

Hotel Atlantico: Good Resort! but....

Good: - clean rooms and facilities - daily shuttle to Havana (only 20 minutes to Old Havana) - beach - friendly staff - decent gym Bad: - everything is old and "tired" (a bit of renovation would help) - garbage on the beach (outside of the resort area) - food ("unremarkable", like most resorts in Cuba)

Negatives: Some staff churlish; many indifferent; a minority pleasant. Brown stains on many sheets and towels. Individual tip jars for every serving spot in buffet-style dining room: juice, carver, pasta + +; all in addition to any tip to "server", who provided soda, wine or water (no beer or orange juice!) Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Wouldn’t stay again

Nothing was good but the beach, have a little one and did find a lot of broken glass and garbage, no one cleans the beach. Staff wasn’t friendly, food was awful, hotel is outdated, nothing to say but don’t stay at this hotel. *not tripcentrals fault, my fault for picking it. Picked it because it was close to Havana. I would stay in Havana next time better food and atmosphere. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. 30 min drive to Havana

Comodoro: Terrible resort

The place is 3 hours from the airport. The staff treated my friend and I who happen to be black ; like shit. Asked us to put away our cutlery, asked for a bowl they couldn't get it. Asked for a cake store they asked if we stayed in the hotel before helping. And finally didn't. Wouldn't turn music on at the pool during the day. No help. The taxi man working at the hotel scammed us. Drinks were expensive, beds small, tiny even. Comodoro: For example the room I was in was badly in neeed of up-dating, I had to ask for a bed side lamp in order to read. Thebsthroom attachments all need to be replaced.

The hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with. More English speaking staff would be a help. Evidence of attempts to repair broken concrete steps etc., however a long way to go. It would appear at one time this would have been a magnificent place to stay, however, it has been "let go" and a lot of time, energy and money needed to restore it. There was no way to get near the ocean. All that being said, Hotel Comodoro suited our needs for a week, not much longer thought.

Hotel Atlantico: Amazing Resort

Nice pool although a bit small. Hotel is by the beach which I liked much. Friendly staff. Everyday activities in the pool ( like vollyball) and binco by the pool. Good food. Nice rooms. Good value for the money.

Melia Habana: A SAD SITUATION WHERE A TRAVEL REPRESENTATIVE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH

On September 17 of this year I booked and paid for our trip to Cuba, $2,990.00 to SUNWING VACATIONS. The agent was Shaukath Fattah. He explained about refunds if there were unforeseen problems, and I signified my interest in the $50 per ticket total refund, but, I told him I had to move $100 into the bank account that paid for the tickets and that that would take a day. I asked that he call me the next day and confirm. He did not call. As the business day was closing I called his number and [... read more] extension and on his voicemail confirmed my interest in the insurance for cancellation. I asked that he call me back in that message. He did not call. A week before travel I called him again as I had just learned from Passport Canada that my passport was being delayed for renewal and I would not be able to take the flight and I asked what my options were on the return of my monies for the trip. Again, with no courtesy of a phone call he did not respond. Then on Friday, October 12 he sent this email. As I indicated to you, you did not add the worry free cancelation to the Sunwing file at time of booking. Yo advised me that you said to "go ahead and add it". Our calls are recorded for quality assurance. The Customer service team has listened to the calls between us regarding this transaction and unfortunately there is no instructions by you to me to add the worry free cancelation insurance. We did discuss it but you never confirmed to purchase it. I spoke to Sunwing and this file is 100% penalty at this time. Unfortunately, I am unable to do anything to further assist. The last time I used Trip Central, Jessie Newbigging did the booking, and the travel and vacation trip went perfectly and I wrote about it in an Ottawa Magazine called BOUNDER and mentioned her as the agent responsible for such a fine time and recommended to the 60.000 readership that if they were looking for a Cuban vacation, she was the agent to call. I noted too that the last three times I called Mr. Fattah that his voicemail indicated that the day was October 2nd and he was not available, indicating a point of confusion when one leaves him a message. I have no trouble recommending the hotel and all it's facilities as I have stayed their previous to this non-experience. Marazul Hotel: Buyer beware

My husband and I stayed at the Marazul hotel in Cuba from October 4th to 11th. We bought a package with Air Canada Vacations. We had hesitated between staying at the Atlantico or the Marazul, and eventually chose the Marazul when we were informed it was now a Valentin hotel. We were greatly disappointed with this hotel. It is certainly not a 3-star and is even less worthy of the Valentin name. It is also not a hotel worthy of Air Canada Vacations. Where to begin? Here are the main problems [... read more]: - Not an adult-only hotel as advertised. There were many Cuban families staying there with children of all ages; - Buffet food almost always the same, no variety, and not served hot enough; - Only one bathroom for the lobby area and it is located in the basement, next to the pool area and it is not clean. The last day of our stay, the men's bathroom was out of order and both men and women had to share the women's bathroom which was the only one available for the whole hotel. Imagine how even dirtier it got and men doing their business could see above the stall walls into the adjacent toilet area where women had to go. Unacceptable! - Smoking is tolerated in all areas of the lobby and bars, even though there are no-smoking signs; - There is prostitution taking place in the hotel; - The roof leaks and during days of rainfall, water was coming in in many places in the lobby area; - The hotel is in great need of repairs and refurbishing. In our room, the bathroom sink faucet was coming undone, the shower stand was broken and the mattress was lumpy and needed to be replaced. And, oh, bonus: there were bed bugs and I returned home with severe bites all over my arms and on my scalp. If I had to chose again, I would stay at the Atlantico and avoid this hotel completely. On a positive note: Havana is a great city to visit.

Hotel Deauville: on the malecon

This hotel has a excellent view of the Malecon and old Havana. Itt is very dated but clean ..spent my initial nights here as I did not have much knowledge of what to expect in Havana Good location to get your bearings and start exploring old Havana

Hotel Atlantico: Pleasant stay at Hotel Atlantico

We booked this trip at the last minute, from start to finish it was a pleasant experience, service from tripcentral was excellent, they provided fully details efficiently and the check-in with Sunwing was smooth. We were greeted & picked up by Sunwing representative upon arrival, people at the Hotel were very friendly, the food exceeded our expectation, they had different meat every night, fish was always there, we even had grilled shrimps one night. Hotel is dated but functionally well, staff [... read more] constantly doing their job to keep it clean, entertainment provided every night, live music & dance show etc, the beach is just besides the hotel, we had, I think, the second best room, it was the ocean view end unit on the 1st floor, we had other guest knocked on our door, wanted to see the room as they wanted to book this room when they return next year! We took the free shuttle to Havana & had a little tour with the old car, it was so so as the tour guide tried to make us do a lot of unnecessary shopping, but this was not part of the vacation package, overall this was a very relaxing trip!

Hotel Atlantico: Disappointed

I was disappointed with this hotel, which was advertised as a 3 star. This is a 60 year old hotel in dire need of an upgrade and management. The Air Transat flight which was recommended was disappointing as I could not even get a free can of soda, which I requested from the Pursar on the flight. He told me they were preserving the stock for their return flight and offered me a half can of soda. Due to poor ground arrangement I arrived at the Atlantico at 11:30pm and could only get a few stale sa [... read more]ndwiches . I asked for a bottle of water and was told it would cost $2 CUC, so I had to settle for a small glass. I was bitten all over as the mattress had bed bugs and mosquitoes in the room. This was rectified by the very pleasant housekeeper, who fumigated the room the next morning. They need to get rid of the flies and improve their hygiene. Overall I am not impressed with Transat and the Atlantico.

Comodoro: Awful experience

I booked 7 nights and the second day of my stay the hotel was out of water, for the whole day we had no water in our washroom or anywhere else in the hotel, the third day they got the water back for Many hours and again the water run out! Pool is very dirty... Awful experience I had to rent out an appointment close to the hotel for the last 3 days of my stay! Never back to that zero star hotel!!

Hotel Deauville: Very disappointed

I had been to Havana twice before so I have a good idea about the service Cuba generally provides to tourists. Hotel Deauville was a big disappointment. No toilet paper, cockroaches all over the beds, centipedes in the room. The breakfast wasn't great. Both selection but quality was poor. The hotel ran out of tea. Front desk was very slow. Great location!!! Hotel room was so dirty and had so many cockroaches that I rented a casa particular instead.

Hotel Atlantico: Good resort

This is a good hotel to stay when you travel to Cuba. They have good service and nice room. Besides, they have wifi in the main area, and it works well. However, they should improve the food. Also, the water in room sometimes runs out of.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Not the greatest but good enough

I stayed here for one week June 18-25, 2018. Excellent location, walking distance to many tourist and historical attractions, excellent music/entertainment in the lobby, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff, great rooftop pool. Rooms a bit outdated but ok, expensive drinks/food, not the best value I would say. Service all over Cuba is always lacking on/off. Absolutely HORRENDOUS gym! Hotel gyms are never great but this was beyond a disappointment. This is a 4.5-5 star hotel (by Cuban stan [... read more]dards) but the gym is a ZERO star. Naturally, this may not be relevant to you but if it is then I suggest going elsewhere
