Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Amazing resort!!!

What an amazing place!!! Absolutely love this resort. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful, beaches are amazing!! This was our first tropical vacation and Angsana did not disappoint!! Will definitely be returning!!!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Resort

This resort is a little old, chipped paint, cracked sidewalks and such. That being said, the only issue I had was a sticky balcony door. The grounds are beautiful, flowers, palm trees, trimmed bushes everywhere. Lots of shade, The pools are nice and clean. The beach is beautiful. There were no vendors bothering you every few minutes. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Outdated resort with nice beach

Great beach!!! The food was below average. In the buffet restaurant nobody takes care of hygiene. Rooms are outdated and beds are old. Usually bed sheets were stained as well as bath towels. If you don’t tip them, they will say we run out. Every single day you can expect different things to be missing. No bier, no caps, no gin, etc.

Valentin Perla Blanca: A gem!

What's not to like about the Valentin? Everything comes together to offer the perfect location for sun and fun - the stunning lobby that is the hub of the resort, the beautifully maintained grounds, the huge pool area with 2 pools and lots of shade, lovely appointed, clean rooms, seemingly endless beach with powdery white sand, several bars, buffet offering good food, and the staff - well, they were the icing on the cake. Not sure where to start our stay at santuary cayo santa maria was amazing. As for the staff they amazing and absolutely beautiful always ready to help.The beaches had to be the most relaxing part of the trip. I would suggest any one to visit cuba. Lucy Melo

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Terrible experience!

Im shocked at the positive reviews. We found the food disgusting. You have to go to the grilling stations and get something fresh, buffet is cold and lots of flies. No specialty restaurants, they all serve the same meal. Not much else for food options. The beach has a Food shack and there is one by the pool. They serve a sandwich only, nothing else and seating by the beach is pretty decrepit and dirty. Pool was dirty and lots of algae, tiles missing everywhere. Never once saw it cleaned  [... read more]or chemicals added. No toilet paper ever in public bathrooms, sometimes not even a seat. Cold water in our room for three days until we asked to move, which they did. Ran out of beer and rum and vodka all the time, though bartenders are selling bottles under the table then they water down the rest to make it last the day Property is old and dated and steps, stairs and railings lose and dangerous. Positive - our room was clean always and the butlers were all very good, especially Jose who went above and beyond.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Wonderful week

We stayed in the adult section for one week. We had no complaints!! Great value, the food was good, the pool, our room and the grounds were clean. Lots of hot water for showers, our mini fridge was replenished every day and we had toilet paper! The snorkeling was amazing! Our room key gave us some trouble but staff were quick to help.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Third time to Ensenachos.

Return visit. amazing beaches and a good area for snorkeling off the beach. Room was great and clean. Buffet under renovations so food selection not as good as before but sure it will be better when work is done . A la cartes were good except only one selection at all of them for dessert and that was flan. not my favourite.. Nice to see the Canadian flag displayed around the resort and the best part is the wonderful Cuban people!!

Meh Front desk awful Food cold Bugs in my room ..said they were ants. Tub way to high No hot water in the block finally got fixed 2 days before vacation was over. Garden view back of building looking at garbage. Beach amazing Communication regarding events very poor. New manager Eric didn't even care to ask how everything was knowing we had no hot water. New manager was watching soccer while there was only 1 bartender working the lobby bar that was busy . The manager didn't  [... read more] even jump in to help. That is poor management! Bus was almost 2 hours late bringing us to airport therefore we had no chance to use the VIP lounge which we paid extra for. I was really on the fence about this hotel but now writing this review its clear. I will never go there again let alone recommend it to anybody.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Terrible Resort -BED BUGS

My partner and I recently stayed at this resort, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. During our stay, we met another guest who had encountered bedbugs in building number 11. Afterward, we noticed that buildings 5 and 6 were closed off for some unknown reason, which immediately raised concerns. We had been told that mosquitoes were not an issue in the area, but we started noticing bites on our skin during our stay. Once we arrived home, we immediately undressed outside, showered in HOT HOT WATER and did NOT bring our luggage into our home. Aside from the insect problem, the food and service were absolutely terrible. We were extremely disappointed with the quality of everything. Given the infestation and overall lack of attention to cleanliness and guest experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s only a matter of time before every building here has an issue with bedbugs, and the entire resort should be shut down until they take proper steps to address the problem.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fabulous Resort

Our week stay was great, clean rooms, great Cuban food, lots of things to do. the resort was less populated as its winding down their busy season but it made for a great time and more one on one with staff and hotel reps. We are defiantly returning for another trip.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Hotel is getting bad

This was my 6th time at this hotel in the past 2 years. Used to be very nice and no shortages. I was there the first week in January 2025 and all was still good. My last trip at the end of March was not that good. Bars did run out of rum and even cola. Food is very limited. Mini bar now only consists of 1 pop and 1 water per day. They are pushing the prestige members and are mainly catering to them. I was only able to get into one Ala carte all week, it was always full. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: I would not go back

The people in the beaches were amazing. The facilities were extremely unsanitary. There was no hot water in my building the entire week. It was also no power for two days. A lot of shortages on beer and rum. The food was terrible. And the bugs were definitely out biting. I would consider this hotel to be a two star. Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful Holiday!!

Had a wonderful trip, the Meliá Cayo Santa Maria was a lovely hotel!! Grounds were beautiful, Staff was exceptional! Our housekeeper Zailyn was perfect!! So were our waitresses and waiters, the gentleman that delivered our bottled water, bartenders, All the staff were!! The beach is fantastic and you can walk a long way in both directions! Heavenly! Food was actually good for Cuba! Pizza oven was broken but got fixed just before we left! Fresh grilled chicken breasts, pasta station, and even  [... read more]had lettuce and great salad toppings! Cucumbers, carrots, peppers and tomatoes!! Olive oil always there but no vinegar! Breakfast was good omelettes, no bacon and no syrup for the crepes but had vanilla and chocolate pudding for toppings! Lots of delicious fresh bread and desserts! Ice cream was delicious as well and several flavours were always available! A La cart restaurants we went to were Japanese and International. Both were good! I heard the Italian was very good also! What stands out especially was the entertainment!!! They had the best every night!! The dancers and shows were superb. Much better than I have seen at some Mexico and Dominican hotels!! They were so talented and was a joy to watch! Had a fire guy one night who juggled etc and was excellent! Always had hydro and lots of hot water!!! Beautiful gardens and pools with swim up bar! Paradisus Los Cayos: Very nice resort

Clean and spacious room. Too bad other side of resort was not open but that’s ok. Pool could have been cleaner. Entertainment by pool n beach were great. Beautiful beach. Food was not bad considering it is Cuba.

Melia Buenavista: Do not fly with Sunwing or Westjet

The stay at Melia Buena Vista was incredible...once we got there. Great service, beautiful beaches and serenity now. Visit this place when you get a chance but do not fly with Sunwing or Westjet. It took us 3 different planes to get to Cuba. The first plane turned around an hour into its flight due to a 'minor' mechanical issue that apparently could not be fixed in Cayo Santa Maria. This was after the entire cabin filled with jet engine fumes prior to takeoff. The second plane they put us o [... read more]n was also deemed 'not safe to fly' by the captain. After a 12 hour delay, we finally took off on a third plane. We lost one day of our 7 day vacation and a bunch of hair with that journey. We will not fly with Sunwing or Westjet (recently bought Sunwing) again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very Relaxing, it did the job!

We just returned from Iberostar selection Encenachos. It was our third time there, the last was two years ago. This time it was just my husband and I. As always the beaches are stunning! Never disappoints and it is what draws us back. The last time we were here there were some days without eggs, bread, potatoes, beer etc...this time it was fine. Fries,pork,chicken….We even really enjoyed the white mild fish for lunch at the Megano beach. I’m not a fish eater but it was delicious. They have  [... read more]made and are in the process of making a lot of upgrades to the resort. So far it shows in the beauty of the lobby and its furniture and walkways. The rooms are adequate but it will be nice when the Reno’s are done on them too. We will definitely return!

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing Vacation!

This was out first time at Grand Memories and second time time in this area. There were five in our party, grandparents, parents and teenagers. We had a very positive experience. Our flight and check in went very smoothly. The entertainment staff, especially Jason and Yonky, were amazing and their people skills were exceptional. The food, grounds and rooms were great! We were very happy with our adjoining room. Loved the carts that shuttled guests around. The beach at this property was out [... read more]standing. Probably one of the best we have experienced in Cuba! We would definitely return to this resort without hesitation.

We found there was more variety in food choices over at Grand Memories . That is where we tended to eat at dinner time . Sanctuary had a beautiful big pool but we are beach people and it was spectacular. The staff were absolutely amazing always making sure you had what you needed .

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful

From our arrival to departure- exceptional! The staff…all of them are so friendly and helpful. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are in good shape, the pools are beautiful, the beach is stunning. The food was good but the menu was repetitious. I highly recommend this resort. The nightly entertainment was the best ive seen at any resort. Everything was wonderful.
