Beautiful resort in a beautiful setting!

Secrets Huatulco is located on a beautiful bay on the Pacific coast in Mexico. Rooms are beautiful, excellent service and food was very good. Weather was Hot! Delicious guacamole and salsa! Loved Castaways for lunch! I would return.

Nice resort

Hotel is fine,food okay,breakfast the best of all meals Oceana the best place for service,layout of hotel not the greatest,not too much thought put into building it..preferred not as nice or upscale as Secrets Puerto Vallarta..never any help in there when you needed it....one of the pools was nice and quiet.. Never any problem getting a place to sit...met lots of nice people from Ontario,Alberta,and BC...

Spectacular on all fronts

From the moment we checked in I knew this vacation was to be a special one. The staff were amazingly friendly and assisted us with any concerns. Property is beautiful and amazingly clean. This resort is not for the party crowd but absolutely perfect getaway with that special person in your life. Stunning Resort

Amazing views, restaurants, service and amenities. You can't go wrong. Huge pool and no shortage of loungers! Rooms are well appointed with wonderful A/C. Grounds are well kept. Entertainment staff are highly entertaining making this an excellent choice of resort.

Wonderful Resort in Huatalco

Secrets was a perfect resort for a relaxing getaway. Quiet, luxurious, beautiful. Impeccable service, great food. Would recommend for adults wanting a relaxing getaway. Beach was course sand, but pools were perfect.

Absolutely Amazing

Everything from start to finish was amazing. Huatulco Mexico Is a hidden gem! From the mountains to the ocean it is absolutely gorgeous. The weather was perfect never rained and has sun all day not cloud in sight. The secrets hotel was the cherry on top of the trip. It was our first time to this resort and it left us speechless. Wonderful vacation!

Beautiful location and friendly, helpful staff. I would recommend the resort to friends and hope to return some day! The restaurant choices were great, plenty of options to choose from. The hotel was very clean as well.

Great time at Secrets

Most of the other reviews are spot on, great resort, very clean, good food, up early for a chair in the shade (although just ask for one by the pool that have extras), great people. It is also a nice area of Mexico, very clean and never felt u comfortable exploring the towns.

Great resort and weather

This resort is amazing!! The grounds are impeccable and the service is the best you will find anywhere. The rooms were immaculate and the maids were around all the time if you needed towels shampoo toothpaste etc. room service was good and the meals were always hot. The restaurants were all good except for the Oceana the seafood restaurant which was lacking in seafood and decor lol overall this resort is great from the weather to the service it can't be beat. The only thing that I would like to see would be canned beer at this resort which they did have a few years ago and a little better entertainment.

Beautiful Resort

So many beautiful views of the ocean and scenery from different vantage points in the resort. Food was good but got tired of the same thing after a few days. Staff are absolutely fantastic! Great sliding walls in rooms to extend your living space.

Great resort

Although the location is idea the resort has to deal with guests thinking they can hold their beach chairs with towels. The food was good but not amazing - it lacked spices. The beach is beautiful with a spectacular view.

Excellent Resort

The resort was very clean, staff very attentive and food options were very good. The pool and beach choices were very good also. Both the pool & beach can be busy making it difficult to get a lounger, so means getting out early to reserve. The rooms are nice, certainly better views from building #1 then the others.

Breath Taking

This was our first trip and we couldn't have expected more. The resort, the beach, the hospitality of Mexico was all just perfect. We did a couple of tours of Huatulco which were well worth the experience to get a true feel of Mexico.

Beautiful Resort

Just spent 7 nights at Secrets Huatulco. This was our second time to this resort and it was once again a fabulous holiday. Love the staff at this hotel. Always smiling and friendly. Rooms are very clean as well as the rest of the facility. Although I didn't use the Spa or Gym, I have heard that the Spa is fantastic. The gym is quite small and equipment quite basic but still seemed to be very busy. We did notice that the lounge chairs could be cleaned up as they are looking quite old but love the [... read more] cabanas on the beach. Food was great. No issues. Lots of fresh fresh, salads and veggies. Also pizza was very good and loved the nachos on the beach. Already planning our third visit.

Beautiful Resort

This is a beautiful resort with excellent staff and amenities in a fabulous location. We stayed there in February 2014 and again in January 2016. Staff, food and amenities are excellent. Being located only half an hour from the Huatulco airport is also a definite plus. Our only issue is that there are already small signs of physical neglect, e.g. some broken beach loungers, a hole in the wall in our room, a mirror missing from a pool bathroom, etc. and this is worrisome for an AAA Four Diamond r [... read more]esort that is only 5 years old.

Truly an amazing place!

Rooms were excellent, beds really comfy, views nothing short of amazing! Nice toiletries provided, including suntan lotion spf15! No need to haul shampoo, conditioner body wash etc. Food and drinks, were top notch and plentiful! Excellent choices available! Pools were huge and great temperature, beach was nice and the sand was soft but deep in areas...kinda large soft pebbles. Awesome resort!!

This was our 3rd time at this resort. The staff are great and so willing to help. The room was great and would highly recommend building one. The pool on this side of the resort is quieter than the other side although both pools are fantastic.

Good Resort - Great Ocean Views

This was our second trip to Secrets Huatulco (January 2016). The first was April 2013. The view is amazing and the weather is almost guaranteed hot and dry. Our room requests were met and we were very happy with the view. However, the buildings are starting to show their age and the people did not seem as friendly as our first trip. I had a deep tissue massage which was excellent. Thank you Delores. Unfortunately, we decided to attend the Unlimited Vacation Club presentation which was to last 90 minutes and ended up being three hours. It was very high pressure and stressful. The representative did a good job presenting his case, but we finally decided not to purchase. All in all it was a good vacation, but I think it is time to try a different location. Maybe, you just can't go back and have the same experience as your first visit.

Secrets Huatulco was beautiful !

Resort is beautiful ! Staff was amazing ! Rooms were very nice but the fridge for a preferred room lacked liquors...... need a real bar ! Shade at this resort is at a premium ! Swim up rooms need shade !
