I’m very disappointed that this resort was given 4 stars I would rate more like a 3 star. The location is great. The beach is beautiful. The resort is very old and hasn’t been kept up. Photos are very deceiving. On a positive the staff was friendly we met a lot of very nice people and St Lucia is a beautiful island.

Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Beautiful
We stayed in Diamond Club Hideaway. Great resort. Great food and drinks. Always able to get towels and a chair. We had wonderful Butler service. The only thing is that it is almost 2 hrs from airport and the roads are hilly and curvy.

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Very nice resort
Grounds excellent staff very good food all good except Italian restaurant. Last meal was Italian place left my views with staff on Friday. Tried very hard to join in resort pool activity but we got very sick on Tuesday and for the rest of the week and are still suffering with grave situation and cruel painful symptom. Going to emergency services Fort Erie must stress it is not covid.
As our week at your resort progressed the supplies for our began to dwindle. BY the last day we had no face c[... read more]loths and some times no soap.not good for sick folks. Good news your sunwing rep Nelson is the best and joy to know.
I will be calling Martine soon if I get well.

Coconut Bay Resort & Spa: Rooms
The Grounds were beautiful but was disappointed with the room especially the bathroom. The shower was very small if I had been a bigger person don't think I would've been able to take a shower. No bathtub. You would think for a trip that was expensive the rooms iwould have been updated. Food was ok but service was very slow. Don't think I will be going back there. Very disappointed.

Coconut Bay Resort & Spa: Nice Resort but Dated
The good things:
We had a really good time. Staff were terriffic.
The drinks were mixed properly and not watered down.
The pool(s) are good.
The Italian and buffet resturants were good. The food was better than expected. Row was our waitress and she was exceptional. The barbeque nights on the pool deck were wonderful.
The bed was comfortable. The AC was good. Olivia was our room attendant and she was exceptional. We had a problem and the staff were responsive and helpful in cle[... read more]aring up the issue.
Lots of bars.
Maintenace staff worked diligently making repairs.
We had a really good time and felt safe and secure while on site. At night 3 donkeys roamed around for photo opportunities. There were 2 very well trained and friendly dogs. They loved to be pet. The beaches are public property and because the high tide was in a local took a short cut through the end of the resort. The dog barked to alert security that someone who didn't belong was on-site. The local didn't mean nor cause any issue but we were impressed that the dog was so well trained.
The lobby washroom were kept very clean.
Transfers to the airport were good and on-time.
The fair things:
The rooms in the Splash Section were dated, but clean. The bathroom was dated with old rusty tap handles in the shower. The front door doesn't seal and can let in bugs (maybe a small bird.) The best part of the beach was very far from the main building. There were lots of TV channels but no high-definition.
We were disappointed in the Silk resturant. We were unable to book the other resturants as some days they were closed and if you didn't get up and book by 8 a.m. you didn't get in.
The bad things:
The pavers were heaved and at different elevations. In one area near the hot tub the pavers are sloped unexpectedly. We saw several people trip there after we tripped.
Lighting poles had brand new LED lamps but the fixtures were rusted out and ready to fall down.
The Front desk was disorganized. I believe that they had credited a different room for our payment and then demanded that we pay again. They didn't give any receipts but I was able to show a bank transfer receipt to prove that we had indeed paid. They spent a long time in the office and came out stating that we had paid but they would not provide a receipt. I left unsure wether my credit card had been charged with the payment that I had already made or not.
The facia on the main building was rusty.
The pool was really cold and very few were brave enough to swim.
Outside of room 101 in the Splash section a septic tile bed appeared to be failed with the tank being pumped into an adjacent tank. The open tank lids stunk badly and this condition lasted for more than a week.
The maintenance crews can't keep up and its time to spend some money to renew the Splash section and main building. It is a nice resort but it may be starting to run down.

Starfish Saint Lucia: Starfish Review December 21st-28th 2022
Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Beautiful Island
Island and hotel were beautiful.
Freshwater pools were amazing however the beach appeared to be manmade and was rocky 20 feet from the shoreline.
Trip from airport to hotel was 2 hours and makes for a long day .

Secrets St. Lucia Resort and Spa: St. James December 2022
This was our first trip to St. Lucia and the St. James club. Overall we had a great time. It is quite far from the airport so was about a 90 minute drive after a fairly long flight. You need to hire a driver or go by bus as the roads are very winding.
The food was good and the staff work really hard to please the guests. The property is beautiful and we had a beach view room that was close to both the pools and beach. The Joy boat cruise was the highlight of the trip and well worth the mone[... read more]y.
The property is a little dated but is scheduled for renovation with new owners. The restaurants are good and are all open air except for La Jardin. The hotel was only 45% capacity so was pretty quiet in the evenings and very low key entertainment with single performers. For those who like to stay up later visit the Red Door bar. Great service from Harold. Overall good holiday for our first post pandemic trip.

Coconut Bay Resort & Spa: 10 Beautiful days at Coconut Bay Resort
This hotel is situated only 5 minutes from the airport - that's a bonus. Grounds are very well kept and clean. We did have a problem with our room but were quickly moved to another. The ocean was rough on most days, so swimming in it was difficult. Thankfully the pools were warm and relaxing. The people were all very friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent service. They arranged a special tour of the grounds and Serenity for us. Dinners at the ala carte restaurants were excellent[... read more]. All welcome you with a special house drink. Buffets are good with many choices - beef and chicken dishes great. Get Jedi at the lobby bar - great guy and server. Don't forget the lazy river - it's a blast.

Starfish Saint Lucia: Starfish St Lucia Trip was WONDERFUL
Trip was Nov 24-Dec 4. We were not impacted in any way by the Nov 6th, 6†of rain over 3 hours that caused water/sewage issues on North St Lucia. That is what the terrible reviews were about. People who visited then unfortunately had Mother Nature against them- not the hotel or staff. All issues that they dealt with were rectified. Our stay was GREAT. More than what we could have imagined for what we paid. We had a warm greeting by Alessandro’s and staff. Rooms were perfect & cle[... read more]aned daily. Zero water issues. Food was delicious. Went to the oriental and Italian restaurants about 6 times. Tried multiple starters, entree’s, and always a couple pizzas to end the night. Portions were good to be able to try multiple dishes which I like. Never felt stuffed and got to try all different things. Delicious cheese!!! Beach restaurant was super delish too. Tried almost everything in menu and never disappointed. Kevin from maintenance brought us a new safe - easy peasy! Giselle made me the perfect omelet EVERYDAY! Kevin, Kenny and Vincent ensured our drinks were plentiful. Gotta try their banana daiquiris (with milk) OMG!!! Aiden, Alma, Cedrik, Cathy, Miss V, Christie, Yana all were amazing in the various dining rooms always making our day better with their warm friendly personalities! Darren, executive Chef was eager to hear our honest feedback and had his pastry chef (Shanique) make us a special dessert (charros) poolside. YUMMY!!! Shereem was a bubble of energy bringing fun at night and during the day. Akin, the greeter/bellboy made us feel so welcomed. Such a sweetheart! Bedianna and her colleague (so sorry my hubby didn’t remember her name) gave superb couples massages for us to help commemorate our anniversary. The Island Cowboy and Andreas were brought in to entertain guests with their awesome singing! Definitely hit the spot. Lumber, our taxi driver to the Friday Night Street Party was a hoot. Overall I give our stay at this resort a 5 star for how we were treated and how hard they worked to recover from the devasting flood that had such a difficult impact on their reopening in early Nov.
What I would say about the early reviews, is that they are the past. Hotel did not deny they experienced a tough start. I admired their honesty and even more was impressed with their tenacity to not give up despite the few bad reviews they got, but rather stand strong and continue to improve. With the picturesque view they have and amazing white sand, clean (no seaeeed) beach, and outstanding staff, this resort is worth the visit!! Thanks everyone and I apologize for anyone I missed naming out. Everyone was great!!! Txs from Canada - Patti, Danny, Chris and Shane (room 214)

Coconut Bay Resort & Spa: Fun vacation
Such a beautiful resort. Super clean. Friendly people. A very short ride from the airport. Sweet! We stayed in the Harmony section but totally enjoyed everything about the Splash section. Good food and lots of it. Lots of chairs available around the pools. All the A la carte restaurants were not open every night so booking was a little tricky. If you're looking to play cards or games anywhere in the evening, there aren't any user friendly tables or good lighting to play.

Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Beautiful Resort, ok food.
Very clean, friendly and beautiful resort. Great location and view.
Food was a bit of a let down, lots of recycled food. Wait staff was very very hit or miss, either on the ball and great or taking an hour to get you out your food and missing half of your order. Wish there was more to do on resort. Kind of smaller than i am used to.
Staff was friendly.

Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Nice resort!
Beautiful property but felt there were some issues! The room was beautiful but had a musty damp smell to it as if it had been flooded and not dried out. The staff were very friendly but customer service wasn’t great! We had to call 3 and 4 times a day to get our fridge stocked, it was very frustrating! It was my birthday while we were there and my husband requested decorations for the room, ut it never happened. We had a swim out which was lovely except someone above us was throwing cigaret[... read more]te butts into it and also in to our patio, we reported this but nothing was done about it!
The restaurants were very good! For the amount we paid to be there we were a bit disappointed!

Wonderful, attentive staff. The building is a little older but well maintained.

Mystique St. Lucia by Royalton: Lovely beach, disappointing resort.
The Mystic hotel in St. Lucia is older and not being kept up to the standards I would like to see. I think they are suffering from a lack a staff. The buffet was quite good but the reserve-only dining was difficult to get into and then disappointing in quality and wait times.
It is a lovely location on Rodney Bay and needs to be updated. An elevator would be nice!

BodyHoliday Saint Lucia: Paradise on earth!
The motto of this place is "give us your body and we will give you back your mind". That is precisely what happened to this burned out zombie. After one week I feel rejuvenated and refreshed. Most people I met have been to this resort numerous times - not only a few or a dozen times, but even 40! It truly is that good! Everyone is friendly and welcoming - not only the exceptional staff, but also the guests. The daily spa treatments are all amazing, and the fitness classes and other activities ar[... read more]e equally above average. The rooms are well appointed and clean, the facilities are well maintained, the food is delicious, and the views are simply breathtaking. The entertainment is fun and engaging. Tipping is non-existant and kind of against hotel policy. What I really appreciated, though, as a single female traveller was how they made an effort to host cocktails every night in the piano bar, followed by a communal dinner so you never had to eat alone if you didn't want to. It is very safe. They will also bring you drinks to your lounge chair on the beach. All dietary restrictions are accommodated, and the quality of food and alcohol are high. Even the pastries were perfect! I also opted for the I-TAL experience, which was excellent. I have already recommended this place to several friends, which is how I found out about it. Just go, you won't regret it! I will return, which is something new for me.
