Melia Cayo Coco: Great value for money

Overall quite satisfied. The rooms were large and well maintained. No power , air conditioning or hot water issues. The food in the buffet was varied, plentiful and tasty. Assortment of salad and fruit available, as well chicken, beef , pork, and sometimes lamb, shrimp or calamari. Keeping in mind that you are not going to see steak and lobster at this price point. The a la cartes were good as well. The drinks were good. Good entertainment and excellent friendly service . Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Home away from home

We stayed at the Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca recently and had a fantastic experience! This resort offers incredible value, especially for those who appreciate a warm, community feel over a standard luxury hotel. The Staff: The absolute highlight of this resort. Great Atmosphere: The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Room Tip: The rooms are cleaned daily with comfy beds and fluffy pillows. Value for Money: There was always a variety to choose from each night. The a la carte restaurants, La Espada and El Fuete, are a must-try. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable paradise with a genuine Cuban soul, this is the place to be!

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: The best we have seen of Cuba so far

Honest Review January 23 - January 30 2026 Location is great, in that you are 30 min ride from airport to the resort, but you are not near anything else. Closest city is Moron and it quite far away. Exploring anywhere off resort is not close. The resort itself is newer, not rundown, is clean and laid out nicely. The beach was beautiful. There were lots of chairs and palapas, no need to reserve a spot with your towels. The reception workers were all very nice, and eager to assist. The resort grounds are kept very clean, and all the workers keep busy to maintain the facility with pride. Bartenders at the beach bar and swim up bar are great! Didn't get the warmest reception at the lobby bar, but, service was "ok" there as well. There are several other bars around the resort, a drink is never far away. In the room, bed linens were clean and the maid did a nice job of resetting our room daily including fresh towels. The pillows are "different" in that they are one long pillow to share as opposed to individual pillows...but, still a pillow with a clean case. The air conditioner worked, lights worked, there were no bugs, and we always had hot water. The safe worked and the doors all locked we had a toilet seat, toilet paper and the toilet flushed . These things may sound funny to mention, but we have been to resorts in Cuba that have none or only some of these things lol, never ALL. This was a pleasant surprise. There were eggs each morning for breakfast and the buffet was well stocked. The bars had beer and rum everyday, and some days gin, that is it. They had mix like cola or sprite most days, and fruit juices but not everything always. It is easy to just bring a bottle with you from the duty free. Yes it should be all included at an "all inclusive". BUT everything IS included that THEY HAVE. If you require something else you will have to bring it yourself, or go elsewhere where you KNOW they have it. It has been this way for years. To be surprised that they don't have your specific drink on hand everyday and then be upset that they don't is on you. YOU have the ability to bring what you need or must have, they do not. Eg: You like a vodka cran, bring vodka and a cranberry Mio juice enhancer...etc etc The 24 hour bar always had bun sandwiches, sometimes hotdogs, the pizza must have been good at the beach bar as the line was very long everyday, but I never tried it. If you want a change of scenery I highly recommend visiting the light house, just a 20 min walk away and they have a nice menu. The food menu and drinks are cheap and they have everything. It is always a good idea to bring snacks for in between meals or late night while playing games in the lobby if it rains, especially if travelling with children, but I think that's a good idea wherever you travel, especially with picky eaters. Mosquitoes were present on the resort starting at around 6:15pm ish for about an hour? They are much smaller than the ones we have in Ontario, def not as thick as we get them. My suggestion would be to wear a bit of repellent on your way to dinner. Have been to Cuba many, many times. This resort is my #1 pick. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Will not return to this resort

Rooms are extremely dated - lounge chairs on balcony were rusted not a chance we were sitting on them. Curtains were hanging off the curtain rod. Beach was not maintained (very sad to see) no activities on the beach and very limited activity around the pool during the day Food was the same every day at the buffet Drink selection was very limited Staff at the piano/ cigar and The Rock bar were very friendly I know this is Cuba and we did not go expecting a high class trip but this was a  [... read more]big disappointment and was happy when it was time to come home. Melia Las Americas: Great resort

We had a great time at this resort. Room, food , staff and beach were wonderful. The entertainment was good at the lobby and theatre. The golf was good the greens were a little rough. The views were great.

Gran Muthu Ensenada: Beautiful resort

We went here for 9 days for the first time. New resort. Not at all full. We enjoyed our stay. The staff all works hard. The buffet always had plenty to eat. 2 egg stations most mornings. Simple food, beef, pork, fish, chicken . We enjoyed the Ala carts. Indian, Asian and Cuban. All food was nicely displayed. Nice desserts too. The rooms were nice and clean. Pools were great, lots of lounge chairs. Only thing about this resort is the beach. While staff worked very hard to clean the san [... read more]d of sea weed daily, the walk into the water is very uneven, rocky with prickly large sea urchins(?) Water shoes are an absolute must for safety. Apparently, the resort has a plan to build a dock to bypass uneven part in water. We enjoy the beach , so probably won't return.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: A Lovely Escape!

We had such a pleasant and relaxed time at Paradisus Rio d'Oro. The grounds are lovely, the rooms spacious and clean, the food tasty and plentiful. The staff work hard to keep all guests happy. The beach is beautiful white sand and it's so soothing to watch and listen to the waves. It's a great place to escape winter for a while. It's no wonder that I met so many people who have been going there year after year.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

Hotel was nice we had problems with our key card alot. Pressure for the shower was poor. Service was great staff was amazing. Food was ok. Beach and pool was awesome. Entertainment was poor drinks were great.

Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing resort

The resort was awesome. Workers where very friendly. Beach was great of course, always loungers to sit. Food was plentiful. Didn't leave hungry. Rooms very clean. Rooms cleaned daily. Grounds were very well kept up.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Excellent winter escape

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Aston and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a break from the Canadian winter. Pros: Amazing beach for swimming, snorkeling, and sunset watching. Beautiful grounds landscape. Operational gym. Hot water, working airconditioning. Friendly and hardworking staff. Fabulous nightly live music in the lobby with occasional dancing parties. Enough food and drinks for everyone. Cons: Biting insects, like in all other hotels we've stayed in Cuba.  [... read more]Day time intertanement was not consistent and mostly missing. Brisas Del Caribe: surprisingly good

everything was good, even the food choice was good. The only problem are the mattress.They were really not comfortable. Other than that the employees were friendly and the animation team were doing a great job to entertain when it was raining.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Best all around resort

Starfish Quatro Palmas First time at this resort, been to cuba 30 times .I likes this place for great location ,always something to do the food was better than expected no shortage o anything My room was clean and well located..there was shows every night i will be back to this resort

Starfish Varadero: Starfish Varadero,Sunwing and trip central need to stop marketing this resort !!!

Been to Cuba 6 times and seasoned traveler...have always loved Cuba for what it is and our expectations are very reasonable...When every single thing you view in the resort is broken and filthy, I draw the line. I could write an essay on how poor the place is, but more than anything else, when we saw how dirty almost every wall was and the buffet juice dispensers were and just gunge and grime everywhere, we did not want to get sick...Long story short, arriving late at night, after we "thought [... read more]" about breakfast, we went straight to the Sunwing desk and asked for assistance to another resort. We gave her a few of our choices and within a few hours, we only paid $450 ( for both of us ) more to be moved to the Grand Aston. Ida the Sunwing lady was very nice and the move made our trip amazing after that....sorry, but being a little less money for the horrible state of Starfish Varadero, I think it looks bad on anyone to market this place.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus rio de oro is paradise

This was our first time to this resort, 2nd time in Holguin area. Its a mature resort. Grounds are lush, beautifully taken care of. A La Carte restaurants dinners where delicious and service was excellent. Stayed on the Royal side section but checked out the main side also. Main beach and RS beaches where beautiful, snorkeling at both locations where awesome.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Pleased overall

The Butler service was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of everyday. The ocean view from our room was spectacular. The pool was pretty great. Not amazing but still great. The staff goes above and beyond so 10 out of 10 for them. We were very happy with most of our drinks even though they often ran out of stuff but it is what it is. I wouldn't rate lower because of that. When you stay at the sanctuary, you have the option to go to the big resort at Grand memori [... read more]es for the buffet and the entertainment and the disco. Honestly the only thing I will say is that the a la carte restaurants were all the same s*** that you get at the buffet. (Meat , Rice, beans) The only one a la carte that was amazing was the Italian cuz you could get a great pizza which us Canadians love night!!

Melia Trinidad Peninsula: Good resort

First time visit to this resort and I was wowed. I payed three star price and got five star treatment including receiving top shelf drinks by other five star hotels in cuba standards. The food in the buffet was good only it was lacking in quality, possibly being very early in the low season as the hotel only had fifty to possibly seventy-five persons. My only concern was the beach and pool area. The beach is not for playing on the beach and in the water. It was all coral and lots and lots of sea [... read more] urchins, swim shoes are a must or receive painful stings from sea urchins tentacles, however the beach is great for snorkeling. The pool bar area is full of fly, too many so. Bring fly traps. The area is great for handicappers however wear sticky shoes as the large tiles are very slippery when wet, also many of the tiles are loose snd can be a trip hazard.$5:00usd shuttle into the city direct from the front entrance.

Sanctuary White Sands: My Dream Vacation and so much more

I stayed at Sanctuary White Sands from January 22nd to 29th 2026 in a deluxe ocean-view junior suite. The accommodations were excellent, and I, originally from Winnipeg, Canada, was highly satisfied with the room amenities and staff service. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and courteous, unobtrusive attitude made for an excellent experience. Daily entertainment and dining options were adequate; though vegan and vegetarian choices were limited, they were high quality. My butler, Carlo [... read more]s, was friendly and responsive. To receive similar service, being courteous, patient, and respectful is advisable. The cuisine was generally enjoyable, though different from my usual preferences. The picturesque beach, ocean, boardwalk, pools, and lounging areas added to the experience. The front desk and lobby were well-maintained, with issues resolved quickly. Sanctuary White Sands: Pretty good!

Beautiful room, shower, balcony, and grounds. A toilet quirk to learn. Food was not amazing, except the fresh baked goods. I liked the pool and beach. Excursions were my highlights! Staff was very gracious except at bars.

Memories Cayo Largo: Beautiful beach!

This was our first time in Cayo Largo. As always the people are wonderful and the beaches are spectacular. The food was good, the bed was comfortable, the shower had no pressure. The pool was good, the bars ran out of vodka and lacked basic mix like club soda and tonic but they always had cerveza (so that was good!).
