Amazing beach!!!

Oceanfront hotel room was nice, room very clean and nice shampoo and body wash products. 1 beer 1 cola 1 water in fridge. Great morning coffee, food was good but limited. bus ride is 1.5 hours, customs was quick. all in all very good for the money.

Another great experience!

This is my second time at the Valentin Perla Blanca and it was great once again. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They make you feel like you're part of the family. Treat them right and they will treat you like royalty. The food was above average for Cuba. Occasionally they would run out of buns or pizza at the snack bar but you still had lots of other choices. It is clean, well maintained and the water is super clear and warm. Pools were always kept clean with plenty of chairs. Cons Bring bug spray as there are mosquitoes and sand fleas. This is throughout all of Cuba or any exotic coast and definitely not a negative towards the resort. I was a buffet to them buggers but they did not affect my partner or other guests. Beds are quite firm and pillows are thin and again typical for Cuban comfort. Just ask for more pillows or bring your own. Would I return? ABSOLUTELY 100%.

Rejuvenating, as well as relaxing!

This was not our first time at Valentin Perla Blanca. In fact, it had only been 7 months since. Whew, where to begin! :) We love this resort because their staff is second to none. As far as resorts go, the food is good and the variety is quite reasonable. There was a time or two when traditionally sliced bread was unavailable for that meal but there was always an alternative ie: ciabatta buns and/or cheese buns. During the day there were all kinds of activities to avail of including billiards, board, card, and other various games, work-outs, yoga, etc. At night there are dance shows, magic shows, beach parties, fashion shows, and much more! There were certain aspects/experiences of the resort that almost resembled that of being on a cruise. It was easy to get lost in the moment! :) I cannot encourage you enough to get a massage while you're there! You will not regret it! WOW If anyone gets lonely for their pets at home, the resort has its own resident outdoor cats. I even saw two timid dogs. The cats will let you pet them if you really coax them. If I were to make a suggestion it would be this: -Ensure that the footlights along the outside walkways are working at all times. -Add brown gravy to your menu. -Ensure that each room has hot water at all times. The staff of the Valentin make you feel like you are Royalty! We will be back again within a year!

Loved it

We had absolutely no complaints about our stay at Valentin Perla Blanca. We were a little nervous because of some of the reviews we read but we had no issues. The drive from the airport to the resort was great, you get to see some of the Cuban countryside and how they really live. Check in was quick and we were able to get into our room when we arrived at 1:30pm. The resort itself was very clean as well as the rooms. We didn’t spend much time at the pool as we went to this resort because of the beaches but the pools looked beautiful. The beaches were perfect and service on the beach was amazing. Overall we have no complaints and only one suggestion to future guests: book your a la carte meals the day you get there if you can or the next day. We waited a few days in to book them and were only able to use 2/3 as the restaurants were booked by the time we tried to make reservations. Otherwise, no issues whatsoever. We will be going back!

Love the resort

Unfortunately , I could not enjoy it as the passenger on the plane next to me had a terrible cold and cough, as I have no immune system I came down with it and turned to pneumonia Also SunWing says to not consume your own alcohol on the plane , this guy drank large bottle of Harvey s Bristol crime and then opened another The resort have been to before Quiet , very clean Great staff

Fantastic Vacation!

Beautiful resort. Well kept grounds, food is great, lovely room and staff always available to assist in any way. I have mobility issues and needed rides to and from the restaurants, we just called and had a ride within minutes. This was our 6th time to Cuba, safe and amazing trip each time!

Pleasant vacation

Pleasant place. Food was good, lobby area very pleasant. If weather allowed, beach was pleasant. Good size, clean pools. Time to time has negatives, things that could be better, like where they throw the algae on the beach, in order to avoid unnecessary bug problems, or small room issues, but overall it is a pleasant place.

Beautiful Resort for a couple on vacation

Property was beautiful and people were amazing! White sands and turquoise waters. Only fault was the selection of food the first few days. Got much better towards the weekend though. Awesome being able to go to the market for just $10 pesos and take a ride back in an old school Cadillac

Not a good experience

Beautiful beach.. food and room wasnt the best.. 1st night arrived. Room was smelly.. switched our room door doesnt lock properly... complained to management.. they only gave us 3 hrs late check out........

Very Nice Experience

I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the helpful staff. The swimming pools were excellent for relaxing and playing volleyball. The beach is expansive, and extremely picturesque. The food is simple but fresh, and I suggest that visitors bring their own hot sauces.

Exactly what we wanted!

Overall the resort lived up to expectations. The hotel was updated and cleaned daily. The best part about this place is the ocean. It has absolutely spectacular beaches! The beach alone was worth the trip!

Disappointed

The Resort Valentin Perla Blanca is quietly amazing when you see at first time but the disappointment started at day 2 until the ongoing days staying in the resort. At the snack bar, the staff is not welcoming. No smile and no greetings, the service is very slow considering is not that busy. The food is not great at all they serve food as same always for those days we stayed. No good towels and bed sheet, even it's brand new towels it has bad smells. The worst is so much mosquitos. You c [... read more]an't stay long outside and worried that you will collect mosquito bites. And lastly the night staying someone stole a pair of my swim wear and some clothes that I hang out at the balcony. I just felt that you can't trust the surroundings in the resort.

Exceeded expectations

Clean, nice beach, good food, friendly staff, had a fun week with my girlfriend, and friends. Would recommend to families,and groups of friends looking for a good time. Bartenders make their drinks very well and the customer service is on point . Thanks for a great time.

Loved everything !!

I stayed at the Valentin Perla Blanca and it was honestly such a beautiful Resort. Half the resort was under renovation but you cannot even tell. The workers there were amazing and so kind, I thought the food was really good, something new everyday to eat. The beach was the most beautiful beach that I have been to for a long time. Everything about this resort was amazing and I would totally go back in a heartbeat!!

Gorgeous beach

Hotel lobby and bar area is grand and impressive. The beach is gorgeous and clean. 2 pool areas that are expansive and laid out very nice. Large resort with lovely gardens throughout. Rooms were ample but not well cleaned and hallways weren't cleaned all week. Employees are so friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Hard to like

Hotel is huge. Getting to the beach is a hastle and no clear path. Have to go through a forest to get to the beach. Food was terrible, been to Cuba about 20 times, this was the worst! Bugs ate us alive, terrible! Many things closed, it should be mentioned as it is deceiving advertising. We are considering never going back to Cuba due to this. Store at resort the size of a closest for the size of this resort. Checkin took about an hour because only one person there. No welcome drink or anything  [... read more]as advertised. If i came here my first time to Cuba, it would have been my last. I am not happy to say the least.

Great Trip

We stayed here the second week of May, the weather was fantastic the whole week. The resort was lovely - clean, safe, AMAZING beach, and great amenities. The food was the best I’ve had in my 4 trips to Cuba (though you won’t regret bringing some good hot sauce). The rooms were a bit out of order - our shower didn’t work properly, many of the lights in the room were out, and despite tipping well, there were two days we didn’t receive mini bar or cleaning. For a great price (790$) we couldn’t have asked for more.

Disappointed

Dining: Probably, the worst food selection I’ve had at a resort. For the first 2 days, there was no bread. So, the snack bar was serving hamburgers with no buns and as a side, it was banana chips. The snack bar serves chicken fingers normally, but these weren’t available all week. The snack bar is open for a la carte breakfast for privilege guests but did not have bacon or sausage and then closed down half way through our week for no reason. There was pork and beef on most days but was tough. The worst part of the buffet and the snack bar was the disgusting amount of house flies. They were everywhere. You were continually swatting at your food to keep the flies off. The room was ok. AC worked fine. Twice I had to track the housekeeper down as she didn’t give me any facecloths. Having the fridge stocked was hit and miss as it would only get filled if I was in the room. Staff, for the most part were helpful. We ended up walking out of the French restaurant because the service was so bad. Lots of little things turned us off: snack bar running out of beer, running out of ice, juice, plastic cups. I feel bad for the staff because it seems as though the resort’s management does not understand how much inventory to keep on hand. All in all, it was very disappointing.

Good Resort!! Amazing beach!!

My husband and myself spent a week in May at the Valentin Perla Blanca. Great service, clean rooms, amazing ground and the most important is the amazing beach with the cristal clear water and white sand. The beach is huge and has lots of private areas. The resort is a bit too far from airport (it took 2 hours to get there because people on the bus from 3 different resorts and we were last). Please take some antihistamine pills with you in case you attacked by jellyfish. We did not see any jel [... read more]lyfish until last day when both of us got it standing in the water together :) - It was NOT a fun. Thanks a lady on the beach who provided us with the pills and eucalyptus oil.

Beautiful

The resort grounds, rooms and amenities were all beautiful and well kept. Service was amazing and food was good for Cuban standards. I recommend doing the privilege package as the perks are worth the cost
