Pullman, Cayo Coco

Hotel was fine. Needs some major upkeep. For a fairly new hotel, a lot of things were rundown. The beds are awful. They kept running out of water so the public washrooms were disgusting. Many people were complaining of illness of which we didn’t escape. The beach and the weather was amazing

The Pullman

The Hotel is quite lovely. The rooms were clean. We had a number of issues with our toilet and it was always promptly fixed. My daughter and I both got quite sick throughout the week and we weren't sure if it was from the food. On the last day I was violently ill and had to access to the doctor and nurse care on site and both were incredibly kind and helpful. The pools were clean but slightly cold. The beach was fantastic.

Nice Resort Lacking Services

Stayed at the resort the beginning of Dec/19. Was dark upon arrival and had a hard time finding our room. Pathways were not well lit and building numbers hard to find (hidden in the scrubs). Without water for over 7 hrs one day and then again the following day for several hours. Never any hot water only warm. Beach was okay but no low and high tides. Most days could not see the bottom. Had to go back to the desk 4 times due to card issues to get in our door and staff at desk did not seem to care. The hotel is only 4 years old and many things are in need of repair but repairs are happening. If you go to Cuba for the sun, swimming in pools and hanging out at the bars then this resort is good.

Very good Resort

very clean resort, friendly staff waitress it’s amazing , I never wait for a drinks they are very friendly , only food vas little cold , rooms was perfect clean , Hot water all time , Cleaners was to loud in Holloway early morning , Swimming pool was very clean, Entertainment vas Nice. I recommend this resort .

Good Resprt

The Pullman is a good resort. I say good because it was good food and good drinks but the room was rushed and the pictures online were deceiving. The staff was incredible and the entertainment was great; especially the horror show! For the A La Carte restaurants, I really enjoyed the Italian and Japanese restaurants but for the Cuban restaurant I wouldn’t go back to! All in all a good resort and would give it 2.5 to 3 stars!

Amazing beach!!!

In Cuba we can’t expect a fabulous food service, but the beach are amazing. All resort staff are very friendly, with exception 2 ladies at the front desk. Excellent service from Roberto who is overseeing buffet area and the bartender at the beach, Wilber, amazing guy!! And his partner at the front , the chef at the beach. Most Relaxing week

The hotel was very nice and modern. Comfortable and safe. Was disappointed that 5 days out of the 7 had no hot water and 2 days it smelled like a sewer in the rooms for part of the day. When advising staff at the reception desk was shooed off. Food was good, always something to eat and the pool bar had fantastic servers (Miry and Hermes you rock). The entertaiment team was fantastic ( Mia, we loved you).

Great Resort

Well designed Resort. The a la carte restaurants are very good. I paid extra for gourmet restaurant and it was worth it. The beach was long and beautiful. Staff very friendly. Delicious cappuccino. The two negatives are: poor Wifi reception and no water pressure and no hot water.

Great Beach

The resort grounds were very well maintained, with friendly maintenance staff. All of the entertainers were amazing, a huge shout out to Chco, Adrian & the Twins !! As for the front desk they could have been a little more friendly and accommodating, maybe cracked a smile once in a while. Lots of walking with not much direction when your away from the pool areas. The beach was great of course.

Pullman collection

All I can say is wow!! This resort ticked all the boxes. We were treated like royalty! The staff or as I would say Pullman family are just amazing and truly make your vacation the best. I have always loved the beaches in cayo coco and this resort just add the polish to that feeling. Food was amazing, drinks were great and they will make just about anything you want. The collection section has a lovely small exclusive lobby which we went to every night to relax and chat with our wonderful batman Jose. Great resort

The grounds are clean and always being maintained. The food is alright I suggest to bring your own sauces to make things better. The French, Italian and Japanese resturants are great. Mary at the pool bar is a sweetheart. Entertainment are always trying to make your stay more fun. I suggest the excursion to the Cave Bar! Only complaint is the beach party was all Spanish music. Definitely alot of locals in Oct compared to my visit in Feb. Quick 10 mins to hotel from airport.

Fabulous resort

The grounds are kept up very well. We have been going for 5 years and this year was no exception. The sidewalks were being re painted, the grounds were being looked after, and you could see that there had been lots of work done on the buildings. The security was very evident now as they have new uniforms and it made you feel safe. The food was delicious in the a La Carte's , and the buffet had plenty to choose from. We were addressed by warm smiles whenever we met staff and the managers were always circulating to make sure everything was as it should be. We especially enjoyed Roberto in the Buffet. He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and offered his services if we had any problems. Yoel, one of the entertainment staff and the staff at the front desk were always so helpful whenever we had a question. Our room was very clean. Marissa did a great job everyday. She left a welcome note and a fair well note which was very thoughtful. I will definitely return again. It's like going home. Can't remember everyone's names but I can say it's a great place to vacation. I do have one recommendation as the resort is becoming more family friendly. There are a lot of pools at this resort and although there is an adult only section ( Collections) it's not always as fun over there. I would recommend making the infinity pool with the swim up bar an adult only pool. This pool is still amongst the entertainment but far enough away that it is a little quieter than the others. ( just a thought).

Amazing!

My husband and I stayed at the Pullman from October 14th to the 21st. To put things in perspective, let's say that we traveled a lot, especially in the different regions of Europe (> 15 times), the Dominican Republic (> 10 times), Cuba (> 10 times) and Mexico (> 5 times). Each destination has its own charm and peculiarities and we rarely publish our comments, but this time we wanted to highlight the entire service delivery at the Cayo Coco Pullman. We would not know where to start or risk forget [... read more]ting someone if we were to name each person who made our stay so enjoyable, but we must pay tribute to the Hotel General Manager Jean-Luc, his Food & Beverages Director Roberto and the whole management team. The success of this establishment, as for all others in Cuba, is limited by the availability of supplies and the staff supervision. At the Pullman, the management is very professional so ressources are optimized and the staff is motivated. In summary, we will go back to the Pullman because it is the best managed establishment we’ve seen in Cuba. The staff is very courteous. The rooms are beautiful, very well maintained and the air conditioning is modern and quiet. You can use your Wifi access cards in your room. The beach is beautiful with enough chairs and palapas for everyone. The resort is only 20 minutes away from the airport. The food is very good (for Cuba) with many choices both at the buffet and the restaurants, and, the entertainment is great. We had an amazing vacation!

The grounds and the beach is stunning. The people are so nice and the general manager is amazing. He set up gourmet dinner for my birthday and allowed my son to eat with us on this special occasion. Thank you very much Jean Luc and we will be back! We had steak and lobster 3x

Beautiful vacation

I went to the Pullman with my wife and two teenagers. We have vacationed in Cayo Coco many times before and this was definitely the nicest hotel we have stayed in. The buffet and French restaurant were both excellent. The beach is beautiful with lots of palapas. Our only complaints were there is no bathroom down by the beach nor is one close to it. The Italian restaurant was actually the only real disappointment. The food was so bad we left and went to the buffet after. Amazing beach!

The hotel accommodations are comfortable, the entertainment is good, the food is good for Cuba's standards. The beach is amazing! The staff is really nice. The restaurants are good specially the pasta at the Italian. Sports equipment and the gym are I great condition

Nice Resort but needs some improvement

Resort is new(er), has some modern elements, rooms are average and clean. Food at buffet and restaurants was on the most part bland. Definitely not 5 star quality although they always had fresh fish for lunch and dinners. Not too pleased with beverages served in very tiny plastic cups. Mixed alcoholic drinks need improvement as well. Not the greatest selection. Friendly staff. Beach was terrific, no complaints there.

Relaxing stay

The hotel was nice for Cuba. Very family oriented with lots of food options. One down side was the 24/7 food place was always a very long line. They should set up a buffet style so people done waste 30+ mins in line on their vacation. The rooms were nice although ours smelled like urine when we first showed up. Also there were several items stolen from our room which was unfortunate. The entertainers were very friendly. The mosquitoes were awful!!! And at times it did ruin our time! It was great [... read more] that the restaurants were all inclosed with AC. Drinks we delicious and all the staff spoke great English! A downside was that after checking in nobody showed us to our room or helped us figure out how to get there. They should drive people with luggage to buildings that far away, wasn’t the best start. Overall, had a good time but not sure I’d go back.

Good Resort

First visit to Pullman, Cayo Coco. Grounds: kept clean and nice. I would suggest planting more trees around the swimming pool or bring umbrellas Public areas: well maintained. Fabulous view from the main lobby. Food: as usual in Cuba. Basic food with a lot of variety. Negatives: the oven for pizza in 24 hours area broken for sometime. Also the espresso machine from the bar in 24 hours area was broken for the last 3 days of our trip.

Terrible! Hygiene issues!

I know not to expect a 5 star in Cuba to be a true 5 star but I do expect it to be a 4 star atleast. IMO this resort was a 2* and that’s based solely on the resort’s service (or lack there of) and hygiene (or lack there of). My twins got sick from the bacteria in the pool on day 2 and had to be on antibiotics for the entire holiday! Plus they got hand, foot and mouth in the last day. We found a dead mouse right outside the main buffet...no soap in the public bathrooms....just a few examples. [... read more] Running out of food/drink items regularly and making no effort to help....a few examples of service issues. Wish I had paid more attention to the negative customer reviews before booking.
