AMAZING RESORT❣❣

This resort was much more than I expected! Right from the moment we walked into the lobby to our departure we were made to feel like family. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms right through to the public washrooms excellent. The food was simply amazing. Always something going on to keep you entertained or you could just relax. Music at night around the pool was geared for more of the younger crowd at times too loud. They did though play a blend and 70 and 80's a  [... read more]couple of nights. What a great place!!!!

This resort was definitely a good choice. The food at the restaurants was amazing, the best at any of the resorts we have been too. We were a party of 14 and they had no problems accommodating us. Grounds were tidy and well cared for. Rooms were huge. For sure we will be going back.

The Viva V Heavens was the most amazing 7 days my husband and I have ever had at an all inclusive! We only ever book adults only resorts and this one is our new favorite! The resort itself is the most beautiful boutique style resort I've been to, it was extremely clean. Great staff!

A great week under the sun! Recomended by a cousin who had been there last year. Rooms are large and well maintained! Food is varied and tasty! As for the restaurants reservations are not necessary. Entertainment every night appreciated..loved the magic show! Pool and beach very clean..food and drinks closeby. Quiet area within easydistance of city centre by taxi or local bus

Nice Resort but too small

The resort is very nice and clean but just too small for my liking. Not enough to see on the resort itself. And although they claim to have free Wifi throughout the resort, the chance of it working was only 50/50.

Good value for the money spent

Very clean although not fancy. Bartender and restaurant at the beach were very good. The walk to the beach was not too far. Chairs here were plentiful as well. Entertainment staff were very nice and friendly.

Lovely small resort

This was our first trip to V Heavens and we were very pleased with our experience. I won’t repeat what everyone else has had to say, simply put the resort is exceptionally clean, the suites are lovely and spacious, the food is very good, the staff are great, and the beach is phenomenal. No shortage of lounge beds on the beach. The walk from the resort to the beach is a leisurely five minute stroll through a lovely jungle-like area where we saw a variety of birds and water critters. The only [... read more] thing we really missed was a place to have drinks before or after dinner, rather than sitting by the pool in plastic chairs. It just didn’t seem to fit when we were dressed for dinner. We wonder if the area above the pool bar, which is seldom used, could somehow be converted to a relaxing bar area. Several guests have made this same observation, so hopefully the resort management will try to address it. On check-in we were given two queen beds instead of a king. A trip to the front desk quickly remedied this issue. We will return.

Average resort

Fairly nice resort for the price Animation staff was amazing Restaurants were very good. Not like other resorts where bar staff would serve you drinks - pretty much had to go to bar to get drinks yourself. Requested a room that wasn't on ground floor but they could not accommodate us and bathroom ended up flooding on our last full day there and we had to move to another room. All in all good value for the price

Fabulous resort

This was our second time at this resort , the hotel staff are very friendly especially alejandro , the food is good along with the al la cartes, the resort is kept very clean at all times, its a 3 to 5 minute walk to the wonderful beach, the animation team consisting of Peter Pan, Elastic Boy, Pinkie, Lilo, Jack Sparrow, Joker,Kitty, Chocolate,DJ, Africa, Candy Love,and the new additions to the team Chicken Legs, Tinkerbell and Honey , they're supervisor Black Panther are the best of the best ke [... read more]ep you intertained with all the games and activities they love what they do and treat everyone like family. Fun and extremely clean resort

Great food, great service and outstanding cleanliness. For example, beach towel were available in room upon arrival and fridge fully stocked, been cold drinks, water, etc. Entertainment staff was hilarious! Will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to. Puerto Plata.

Great resort

Great resort! Small and everything with in walking distance! Adult only is great and not a frat party resort! Great for those wanting to relax! Animation team and bar tenders so friendly! Free wifi was great as well!

Very Small Intimate Resort

GROUNDS: Very clean and well manicured. Public areas and bathrooms were the best kept of any of the 25 plus all inclusive resorts I have been to. Free internet throughout the resort but very slow. FOOD: Probably the worst of any resort (even 2.5 star resorts) due to lack of selection, cold, taste, over salted, poor quality orange juice tasting like powdered drink, wife being denied access as staff deemed her coverup was not appropriate but was dressed the same as most others. Most staff wer [... read more]e pleasant but it was obvious that many were not happy working there. Loved the fact that there were not long lineups as in most other hotels. POOL: Very clean and well maintained, Most loungers were in very poor shape due to broken webbing. They needed to be claimed by 7:30 am or you were out of luck for the rest of the day as there were not enough for all that needed them. Several umbrellas were broken but they were fixed during our stay. Pool bar didn't open for specialty coffee until 8 am. On most days, there was a competition between the music system at the entertainment area and the cigar bar. You couldn't understand either as they drowned each other out. Foam party was awesome. Far too many promotors constantly walking around trying to sell massages, photography etc. Service was very slow with only 1 bartender. ROOM: Junior suite was very large and well cleaned. Beds need to be replaced as they were saucer shaped - kept rolling to the centre. Pillows uncomfortable. the air conditioner broke down twice at night but was fixed soon after reporting the problem. On one night the smoke detector started beeping throughout the night. It was fixed quickly also. Lost 3 nights sleep due to these problems. OTHER: Great beach. Very good Sunwing reps. Hotel is conveniently close to a mini mall and a beach market. Not a big fan of locals being allowed into the hotel. I missed having a large lobby with a bar where guests could gather and have a drink and socialize. I thought the entertainment started too late at 10:00 pm. Some of the entertainment and promotion staff acted EXTREMELY inappropriately with some single female guests (both in words and actions).

Very nice resort

We really enjoyed our vacation. Very clean rooms. Grounds very clean, neat and tidy.Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good in the buffet.Lots of choice. Unlimited access to a la carte restaurants was nice. Entertainment staff worked very hard to make sure everyone enjoyed their time there.

Fantastic time

The Resort was beautiful our room was very spacious and modern The staff was friendly but yet professional . The food was very good and the pool area was great the overall resort was very clean and tidy the beach was very good

Amazing resort

This resort was pristine, the food was amazing, our fav was sofrito the steak was beyond great. The staff at the resort was great. The animation team was so much fun. Black Panther is terrific in his job. We stayed in the Amnesia junior suite the room was so spacious and immediately clean. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this resort. It was a much needed vacation and it surpassed my expectations

Awesome Resort!

We stayed here the beginning of Jan. We loved this resort. Staff was very nice, great entertainment, delicious food, and nice rooms with comfy beds. The beach was awesome as well. Would Highly recommend!

Fantastic Resort!

What a great vacation! I have nothing negative to say about Viva V. This resort is small, but that's why we loved it! Everything is right there! Restaurants, Pools, within a few steps. Room were great, well appointed, we had the Amnesia Junior Suite, which has a kind of separate living space with a couch. Great for us! Two tvs, balcony. Beds and pillows were clean and comfy. I've never experienced such a vast array, and very tasty choices at a resort before this. Our favourite, but about a five minute walk is on the beach, and this restaurant offers nachos and cheese, homemade, delish pizza, hotdogs, and fries during the day, and in the evening an Italian restaurant, which is very busy, depending on the time you go, you may wait up to a half hour, but you sit right on the beach and have drinks while you wait! Everything there is well worth the wait, the ravioli is to die for! This is an all adult resort, and I noticed there are lots of singles, as well as couples. Entertainment group is the best I've seen at a resort. Just fabulous! Disco almost everynight if you choose to go. Fun fun! Or your vacation can just be a relaxing one, just lying by the pool. Great value for your money vacay. Will be back!

Had a good time!

Beautiful resort and beautiful walk to the beach. amazing staff. Could use some updates and cleaning. the pictures of rooms look more amazing then they are.The beds were quite hard but the pillows were amazing. Placed in nice and safe area. Food was alright. buffet was good however the mexican resteraunt was a big let down.

Great spot!

My partner and I really enjoyed this hotel. It’s beautiful, modern, small and adult only! We had a lovely time for our week long stay and came back very very relaxed. The food at the beach front restaurant was the best of the whole resort and after a night of pina coladas and mojitos, the 24/hr room service was a nice touch. The mattresses were a bit hard but the pillows were great! The entertainment team was also great, very friendly and the nightly performances were full of talent! As two le [... read more]sbians, we were slightly uncomfortable at times because of some of the male entertainment staff but I suppose this is to be expected in the Caribbean. Otherwise, great spot and would recommend anyone to visit!

Outstanding Resort

The Grounds and beach were amazing and entertainment was great. The rooms were just like the picture that you see from sunwing. We had the Amnesa Jr Suite which super clean every day. The foam party that they on Saturdays is crazy fun and great food. I wish we would have booked for two weeks instead of just one.
