Wonderful Resort

A beautifully kept and sprawling family/adults only resort. This resort incorporates everything one requires to have a great stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff pleasant and accommodating. Our hope is return again.

Clean & Great Food

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week. The resort was well laid out with pool options for everyone's wishes.The rooms were up to date, clean, daily stocked fridge and had the most comfortable mattress. The food was very good and with several restaurant options in addition to the buffet, with only one a la carte that required a booking, the Japanese teppanyaki due to 'show' times. The only shortfall was the arrival package that should have had a full colour facility map (received a black & white c [... read more]opy that was so reproduced that it was unclear) and towel cards. Even when we discovered the need for towel cards at the pool, we had to trek back to the front desk only to wait for the towel hut to bring some up to the front desk for distribution. All in all, I would definitely entertain a re-visit to this resort!!

Superb Resort!

The Ocean Riveria Paradise resort was great! super clean, lots of fun stuff to do and so many different restaurants we were never bored. The beach is beautiful and bars were a plenty. I would recommend this resort to anyone who likes sun, fun and palm trees!

Fabulous destination

We had a family wedding as part of our vacation. every detail of our special day was looked after perfectly and professionally.this is a world class destination. The food was delicious and the meal for the wedding was exceptional. Thanks to all staff and any one involved.

Friendly and accommodating staff,

Upon arrival late due to a delayed sunwing flight. The resort upgraded me for free to poolview rooftop hottub room. Supper clean, awesome staff, tip culture was not in your face like Cuba. Can’t write enough how much we enjoyed this place. Food amazing great selection at all. Kids love the bowling alley and batting cages. Wife loved the 30$Us massages on the beach. I would honestly go back.

Rooms : large , clean, comfortable king bed, AC, dehumidifier, iron and ironing board , mini fridge, safe, big tv, approximately 12 hangers, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, toothbrush/paste , shaver, mouthwash, shower cap, sewing kit and so much more. We chose to relax at the more quiet Privilege pool. Pools are clean, water is refreshing on a hot day. Lifeguards everyday both at pools and beach. Beach: red flag all week, it was nice to walk along the beach and enjoy watching the waves roll in. Bring beach shoes if you plan to go in the water. Food : Surprised foodie. BlueMoon adult restaurant was our favourite, With the Mexican restaurant and a close second. Decent selection of healthy foods in the buffet, impressed by the variety of fresh fruits and freshly pressed fruit juices. Café: good lattes , cappuccinos , etc as well as smoothies and a wide selection of teas and desserts. Good vibe. Bars : drinks are strong ! No watered down booze here. Service : exceptional from our room attendant , the staff at BlueMoon , Mikes café, the Prestige pool bar and select buffet staff. Very good service elsewhere. Vibe: Lots of partying millennials and families with small children. Not as quiet as we’d have liked, but it never felt crowded and we could always find a quiet spot if we needed it. Security : solid . Lots of security people walking the grounds of this beautiful resort. Gym: they have a great Crossfit area and usual gym equipment. Spinning bikes need some tuning. Overall - solid place to enjoy a vacation , relax , enjoy good service from caring personnel. Thumbs up!

Amazing resort to stay at!

We booked this resort with privilege and had an amazing time. Our butler Guillermo took care of everything for us and really made our trip extra special. So many pools and bars and restaurants. Will be back

Quite a Fun Resort

This Hotel has it all mostly. Great service and staff and good food. Good choice of restaurants although the Mexican bfast and lunch is not open on a regular basis. the Japanese restaurant is quite popular and people wait in long lines to book a dinner time. There is good entertainment, teen room, tennis and batting courts. The rooms are quite spacious and one big benefit is no mosquitoes when we were there. There are a good number of swimming pools. My only point about the resort which is quite long and has a shuttle service too is the Beach. There are a lot of small rocks and when the waves come in, they really hurt and hit hard which can be quite painful. My advice would be to dredge the beach area to ensure there is soft sand only instead of the small pebbles and rocks that keep making it very inconvenient to walk around.

Beautiful Resort!

This was our first time to the Mayan Riviera. We were absolutely amazed with the quality of this resort! Everything is exactly as the photos show and More! The rooms were spacious, we had a swim-up suite in the Eden Building close to the beach which was fantastic! Food was absolutely amazing! Buffet was better than many places we have been with so much to choose from, excellent quality and presentation. The a lacarte restaurants were good...our fave was the steak house. We had a minor issue with the Air Conditioner temperature control, 15 minutes after we called, it was fixed! The activities crew and entertainment is great! Bartenders overall were super friendly and attentive, room cleaning was very good as well. No issue finding something to do here! We wish we had booked a longer trip!

Meh

The rooms were beautiful. The food was ok. The resort had a nice layout. Our rooms were far from ocean. Disappointed re no music at beach. Service in buffet was horrible. Had to get up many time for service such as receiving water or coffee in the morning. I would not go there again.

Dream Vacation

This was my first time taking a vacation down south to an all inclusive resort and I felt like I was living a dream. I have no complaints. The facilities were spotless, the staff were phenomenal, the shows were exciting and the food was absolutely perfect, and I'm a vegetarian. So many choices, everywhere we ate. Fantastic resort for families with young children

Our family of five (kids aged 6, 4, 1) had a fantastic time at the Ocean Riviera Paradise. In reading other reviews, many people commented on the smell in the rooms. I did notice a damp smell on arrival, but it is a humid area and it didn’t bother us. After a few hours we didn’t even notice it anymore. Our room was in the Daisy building. We went for a room at the back of the building to avoid the noise in front of the pool, but if I had it to do over I would choose pool side. The “ [... read more]garden side” looked onto a service road for staff, so in the evenings when we sat on our balcony there was a lot of vehicle noise. The room itself was fantastic! There was lots of space for a family with three kids. We were also impressed with the size of the bathroom; the separate rooms for the toilet and shower were very convenient. Our older kids loved the waterpark for the first few days, and then they were ready to move on to other activities; fortunately there were lots to choose from. The different pools, the beach, kayak rentals, bowling gave us many options. The kids loved the Daisy Club, too. Some days they would go for hours, others they would choose one or two activities. The size of the resort was perfect for us. The food at the buffet was varied and great! We also enjoyed our meals at the a la carte restaurants, particularly the Hibachi, Italian, and the Mexican restaurants. One of the few downsides for our family is that the majority of the a la carte restaurants do not open until 6:30. Our kids are used to eating at 5:30 so this resulted in hungry and cranky kids most nights at dinner. It would be nice to have a few more restaurants with earlier seating. The staff at all of the restaurants were very attentive to our daughter’s allergies. Overall this is a fantastic resort. I would recommend this resort for families with young children, and I will consider returning or trying another H10 hotel in the future! Great Resort!

The resort was great. It was my first time and definitely would come back. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect, comfortable bed. Lots of different restaurants to eat at. Great pool and splash area for children. My granddaughter loved it. The resort was very clean. The beach was also amazing. My granddaughter enjoyed the spider monkeys running around and the coati mundi. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

Good bad and ugly

I'll be short and to the point... The good: Rooms are modern, the grill at the adult pool is delicious, the resort entertainment, adult pool and pool parties were a highlight for us. The bad and ugly: Food was just ok, mold smell in Eden building and was very strong in our room we had to switch. Pools discolored my bathing suits, beach wasnt beautiful by any means there was lots of seaweed in the water and a strong smell. We booked excursions in the front lobby and the adult only party boat they booked us on was not adult only and had no gluten free options so I didnt eat for 12 hours. Anturo at the buffet was an absolute gem, he was very helpful with my food allergy and always made sure i was taken care of. Iliana is the best photographer on the resort, she has a great eye for angles, we loved her!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

I have to say, I was a little nervous prior to going after reading a variety of reviews for this resort....In the end, i am so glad that we chose to stay at the Ocean Riviera Paradise! We had such a great week from start to finish. If you are considering the privilege upgrade, I highly recommend it. All the staff are just wonderful and even made our little girls birthday extra special with some surprises for her. We especially enjoyed breakfast as it was way less busy than the main buffet and a perfect way to start the day. They did an amazing job at making us feel safe and comfortable while eating as our daughter has some severe allergies, Thank you! Our Butler Antonio was amazing and always had a smile on his face and really enjoyed making sure we had everything we needed. We aren't huge drinkers, but even still would opt for that extra touch and personal contact of the privilege upgrade. There is a variety of restaurants for dining and something for everyone. The water park for the kids is great and my daughter loved it. The resort is well kept and a good size with different pools and vibes depending on what you are looking for. The beach is a little rocky for the first entry, but after it was fine. I wouldn't say it had sharp rocks though for where I was walking and seaweed wasn't a real issue at all. I would certainly go back again and really had no issues with our stay.

Great Family Destination

We traveled as a group of six aged 9-43 and there was something for all of us at this resort. The kids enjoyed the bowling lanes, and my older children took in a foam party sponsored by Coco Bongo. We enjoyed the monkeys living on the resort grounds. The pools were refreshing and the drinks were strong. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and had ample room. Great place to visit

The entertainment staff does a great job keeping everyone happy and engaged during the day and night. Staff were friendly. Not too keen on the "Mexican raccoons" running around most of the day and night but seem to be accustomed to humans. Good food choices. Japanese Teppanyaki grill restaurant was a fun experience.

4 star hotel

It was an okay resort not a 5 star tho. Restaurants are okay the best is the Japanese and the pasta station in the buffet. Also the omelette station in the mornings really nice. They wanted to charge corking fee which is ridiculous when we brought our own wine.

Great value

Excellent large, clean rooms, great evening restaurant choices and lunch buffet, and very friendly service from all staff. Beach was disappointing due rocky shore and seasonal seaweed. Lots to do at night on main street, both ice cream and coffee shop, batting cage, etc.SPA needs to manage their appointment times better and not advertise Reflexology vs. their foot rub.

Great resort

The hotel architecture was stunning. The cleanliness of the hotel was always on point. The staff was always professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely kid friendly which we loved because we travelled with our little one. They had a separate pool just for kids, a kids club where they offered tons of activities and kept the children engaged.
