grate for families with younger children, playground &water parks excellent,restaurant (Italian)waste of time, buffet best for kids .Shows too loud,bad acoustic&should be more focused on children stories not on adults-easy to fix

Excellent beach, very good resort

The highlight of this resort is the beach. No rocks, fun waves. Very easy to get a lounge chair - no need to wake up early. Resort is beautiful and spotless. Food is average to very good. Nothing bad but nothing excellent.

Amazing

It is a very comfortable hotel for the family. It is a very clean resort and there is a lot of activities that one can participate. The quality of food is also amazing. The pools are clean and well maintained all the time. There is high security all over the hotel.

Amazing week

I think that Grand Bahia Principe Fantasia is a prefect hotel for a family food is excellent, water park is perfect for kid under 8 years old, close from the beach,really clean, the only small problem was that the cleaning room lady was only speaking in Spanish so we had a hard time communicate with her.

Amazing Resort

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Fantasia Jan. 3 -10, 2018. We travelled with my two children age 5 and 8. My children were catered to at all times. The grounds were clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beach was close to resort. Everything was within walking distance. There was lots of activities for the kids to do. Excellent family resort

This resort was amazing,staff were great ,cleanliness was amazing.definitely a 5 star resort! Looking forward to returning for another family trip. Lots to do with access to the other resorts around. So many dining options,

Fantastic at Fantasia

For families with kids of 3 to 13 it is an excellent resort. Rooms are well designed, with either a King bed or two doubles (not queensize) plus a flip down couch / trundle bed. Rooms are large as is the double sink bathroom with a huge separate shower stall and a large whirlpool tub. White marble floors in the rooms are kept clean and gleaming. There are  [... read more]four restaurants on site, plus access to over a dozen more through out the Bahia Complex, with a great variety of food choices. The Fantasia main buffet, Larimar, has both indoor and out door seating with lots of tables to accommodate large families. Food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is prepared fresh and with many options, and a rotating daily theme for dinner. They have a section set up for children with popular foods like French Fries and small sandwichs etc at low counters. There is a exclusive Fantasia restaurant at the beach and the end of the line for the trolly, that makes a nice little buffet and has great service. The huge water slide and pool section closest to beach direction are set up for children of all ages, including a very shallow area and lots of lounges chairs over a huge surrounding area. that side of the Castle also has the swim up bar, and the entertainment staff working mostly in that side. The pool side closest to the lobby is divided in two large pools, approximately 3 1/2 feet deep, with many sweeping staircase access's around the free form sides. Staff are circulating all day providing drinks and some times snacks at your lounge chairs and there are sufficient little side tables beside the chairs. Childrens shows start around 8 PM in the lobby theater or the outdoor theater at the front entrance and are very interactive, getting kids of all ages to come up on the stage and dress up etc.

Awesome resort!!

We went there as a family with three kids 10 months old, 2 and 10 years to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and it be was an off the chain experience. They catered to our needs entirely by providing an additional bed plus a crib for the baby before we got there. We were placed in a room close to the main buffet restaurant and pool which was ideal since we had the kids and strollers to manoeuvre with. The room was cleaned twice with fresh towels daily. That was just spectacular!! The grounds were very clean and the nightly entertainment was superb. After the nightly entertainment they had a film that was shown from a projector reflecting on the towers which the kids really enjoyed. The waterpark was great for the younger kids but not so much for the older but she enjoyed the pool more anyways. Didn't do much at the beach except for a photo shoot since there was so much seaweed which is only natural for which they tried to clean as much as possible. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely go back and as the name implies Fantasia which is Fantasy in Spanish and it was just that... FANTASTIC experience�

Best customer service

That was the second time I booked my vacation through them, and I'm so happy with my choice, as I had the best deal with the best customer service experience. Rick spent almost spent an hour patiently to find me the best deal with as much as possible discount. I appreciate his work.

Truly 5 Star

This resort was truling fantastic. From the management to the service of the employees toall the amenaties. The rooms were simply beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the pillow menu was perfect. My wife, daughter and really loved being here and felt really welcomed by the staff. The srevice in the restaurants was first class and the food always delicious. The buffet had a different theme every night. Great resort, but not a 5 star

Resort: was beautiful, stunning Food: was great, lots of options Kids resort: lots of options, water park was a plus Beach: horrible. Lots of seaweed. They need to find a solution to this. If you are travelling but don't care about the beach, then you can choose this resort. As much as the resort was amazing, I would not return due to the beach. I'm use to cuba beach, not the same at all. Due to the beach, I rate this resort a 4 star. We travelled the week of July 25/17.

Great family resort!!!

Great resort , kids had lots of fun. Bar Service little slow Room service very good , rooms cleaned twice a day.Grounds and hotel very well kept and clean. Overall hotel is brand new and well design with modern touch. Great shows at night and all lighting through out the resort is amazing!! Would recommend this hotel .Great vacation !!!!

Fantasic Resort

This resort was amazing!!! The food and the hotel staff and service was great Perfect for my whole family, the children had a blast at the pool and the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better choice of vacation :) I truly enjoyed the 7 days we were there, will return in the near future

Amazing Family Resort

This resort was absolutely amazing from the grounds to the pools to the amazing staff. The room was also very beautiful.This hotel was very clean and family friendly, great food and an amazing verity to choose from

This place was absolutely fantastic

I wrote a long review on trip advisor so i am just going to copy and paste it here. In short, Fantasia exceeded the good things I had read about it, and the bad things I had read did not seem to exist for us there. We stayed a family of 3 adults, an 8 year old and a 2 year old, June 02-09/17. We are definitely going back as a family and just adults. We arrived at around 9:45 pm, so unfortunately we missed the tail end of dinner buffet, however the check in was fast and room service came pretty quick compared to what i have read from others. Orlando at the front desk checked us in with adjoining rooms for my family and brother. We had requested ground floor poolview prior to arriving however they couldn't make it adjoining so we spent the first night on the opposite side upstairs but the next afternoon we were given the first room on the first floor, with pool view beside the kids club which was perfect. Bravo Orlando! We got the kids to bed and my brother and I roamed up to the lobby bar which is gorgeous... And were surprised to see our selection of liquors, very nice selection. Draft beer wasn't bad at all either. The bartender Raime was awesome to us. I didn't see any rude bartenders but I always saw Raime there the entire trip. So he was the go to there. The next morning we all woke up in paradise. Really hot paradise lol. We ate breakfast at the Larimar every day though we had the option to go to the circus aswell. The food at the Larimar we better then any buffet we have in Hamilton and surrounding. Breakfast was good everyday, nobody complained and we actually looked forward to those meals which is funny because I am not a scheduled breakfast eater at all. Lunch was great at both the lobby buffet (larimar) and the circus buffet. We booked a few a la carts starting with the circus (which is only open without reservation for breakfast and lunch, for dinner you need to reserve). I booked the a la cartes 3 weeks ahead and they had them all set up at guest services, however after having dinner at our buffet, we only committed to the circus reserve because the food was so good at the buffet that we didn't want to risk it lol. We had multiple different servers and some were pulling doubles and triples meaning we had them 3 meals in a row over 2 days. Every one of them was friendly to us and yes some had a language barrier but we always figured it out or they would grab someone who spoke it nearby so there was never ever an issue with our food or sevice. (I had google translator with me and maybe used it 5 times for detailed drinks over one week). Shout out to Mally, Louis, and Kelvin at the Larimar, Thanks for your Positivity! The grounds were probably over well kept, Marble tile everywhere. I've never seen people working so frequently doing landscaping and maintenance. It is crazy hot and these guys are trimming bushes with scissors and smashing up dark interlok with railway pins and mini sledge hammers. Yes there were a few little things worn but its brand new, it needs to settle, if you could walk from the lobby to the castle without seeing people working out there I will pay you. For the kids, this place had everything. Two waterparks (one at fantasia, one at turquesa) for them to use, the fantasia pool is huge and is shallow for a while so small kids have lots of space to play, same pool has the swim up bar at opposite end, at the base of the big castle. Parks, arcade, shows, facepainting, popsicles, freezies, jugglers, video games, pretty much enough to keep any kid busy. Free wifi for the lazy ones lol. The beach was the nicest ive been on, few days of twigs washing up but never murky or that busy really. I could see it being busy in the winter seasons but fantasia has their own section on the beach with a bar, lunch buffet, and servers that leave you always finding a nice shady spot! The beach bar for the Fantasia was probably where I got the best service. I wont forget Juan Zarzuela, Kelvin, and David. They were just all sorts of happy. After our first visit to the beach we were calling each other family and I wish they worked everywhere. Davids english was a bit better however we had no problem working thru the language barrier with Juan and Kelvin. I see these guys pulling these hours in long sleeves and black pants hiking through the sand with 15 drinks on a tray just pouring sweat and some people complain. The world would be better if people like Kelvin had more opportunity. The room was perfect, weather perfect, food perfect, service perfect, facilities perfect, service perfect, Vacation perfect. See yous in 2018-forever!

Beautiful resort, bad service

We stayed for a week from June 2 to 9, the resort is beautiful, however is lacking good service. The buffet has s variety to choose from from breakfast, however lunch and dinner not so great.. even the device while seated, we had to ask for cutlery for our table most of the time, they hardly come back and check if you need anything.. won't be going back nor would recommend to anyone else

Gorgeous resort

Fanastia was well kept grounds, they clean your room almost twice a day. Around 6pm there's maid service giving you more clean towels. Food was great but would be nice to know that the French restaurant had a very strict dress code but in that heat no one wore long pants. The entertainment was amazing. They did a tribute to Michael Jackson. The downfall is at the pool side the was sometimes no music to the same 4 songs that got a bit annoying. But the ocean was not close at all and they tried to keep it clean but to was to dirty and the kids got grossed out. Was hoping that the water park would be much bigger and also for the older kids. The teen club was never opened for my older son. But the travel agent went beyond just booked my flight. She kept me in touch quickly when I need answers.

Superb!

The resort was absolutely amazing. The hotel, the food, the pool, the sun and staff were great! Everything was close and convenient. The staff were pleasant and kind. Clean with a bunch of activities to do for any family. A heartbeat away!

Beautiful resort!

Hotel was amazing! Beautiful grounds, great pool and great waterpark! Perfect location for kids! Lots to do. Amazing night time show against the castle which was an amazing surprise that we have never seen anywhere else! We felt like we were at Disneyworld. Beautiful beach! Rooms are big and clean and I recommend staying in either building 98 or 99! Definitely recommend anyone especially with kids to go! Wonderful resort

Our vacation on this hotel was really good because the nice people working there . All food and cocktails were excellent, nice beach an clean, pool perfect, amazing shows, Mamajuana tested really good, everything perfect Thanks guys
