Fabulous Hotel

We ate, we laughed, we snorkled and swam with the Dolphins!!!! The beach was amazing. The water was crystal clear and warm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Resort was awesome. Will be back soon.

Super Modern Resort!

All areas of resort kept very clean and tidy! Rooms are bright and nicely decorated! Service is excellent wherever you are on the resort. The best view in varadero is at the 11th floor bar & restaurant! The beach is outstanding! !

Great time at Iberostar Bella Vista

We spent a week at Bella Vista at the end of March. Had a great time. The resort was very clean, good food and very friendly staff. Although we had to wait until Sunday morning to make our la carte reservations for the next week, we managed to go to 3 and thoroughly enjoyed the food! Beautiful Resort

This was my first time at the Bella Vista as it is a new resort. I typically go to the Iberostar Laguna Azul, the Bella Vista is absolutely beautiful. Very Modern although I do not typically enjoy modern when in the Carribean I very much enjoyed this one. Luckily for us we realized soon enough for breakfast and lunch the Seafood restaurant doubles as a buffet during the day. The entertainment at night is also a Nice touch in the lobby as this resort does not have a disco. Lastly, the staff are amazing, from the servers, to the bartenders, cleaning staff reception etc great job. Also It is a first for me to see the bartenders as trained as this crew at the Bella Vista. Im impressed and keep in mind for the last 6 trips of mine were all at the Laguna Azul which is my go to place, i now have another go to location in Varadero. The very last comment ill make is, i am also a beach girl, this beach was not my favorite as it is quite small, however we made it work it was still stunning when the waves finally decided to calm down. Thank you to the staff at Bella Vista and the beautiful Iberostar accomodations.

Very nice front beach!

Service: Beach towel service was not so great however it's there procedure to pickup a new one at 9:30 am each morning for an exchange Washrooms: by the end of the day, they don't refill the toilet paper in the common area. Great Vacation

This is a new hotel and we just loved everything about it. There are no cons from us in regards to this hotel but there are many pros that made our vacation amassing. Highly recommended from us for a vacation in Varadero Cuba.

Beautiful new hotel

We were a party of five adults and just came back from a week vacation in Iberostar Bella Vista Varadero. Everything about this hotel is superb. Keeping in mind that you are visiting Cuba and carry a positive attitude once on vacation, there is nothing to complain about our stay in this hotel. It's was an ok resort.

The hotel has lots of potentials..but not there yet. I stayed from March 16 to the 23 and in my 7 nights stays..i had no hot water..not one time..its sure put a damper to your winter vacation..been to the public relation desk twice about it and nothing was done. The food was VERY repetitive..and very dull entertainment at night..you felt like sleeping at 9. Resort is very clean..beach awsome..pool nice but the swim up bar was close from Wednesday on due to sewage back up.. not nice at all..com [... read more]plimentary room we got to shower on our last day was dirty..eith no towels to dry ourself.. so yes there potential but there a long way to go to get there..and bare in mind it's a new resort advertised as a 4.5 stars..my room was 10202..not sure if I would return again.

Fantastic resort

The resort itself was very clean the food was great,the staff were very friendly& very helpful .The view from the balconies was unbelievable.My wife &I definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wants to getaway & relax & have a good time

Great Resort!

This hotel was beautiful and clean and the service was great! The rooms were modern and well kept and housekeeping was very responsive if you needed anything. If you wait until after 5:30 to shower you may not have hot water but that was the only negative really - the resort was busy as it was March break so this may have contributed to this. The beach was clean and pristine. Soft sand and beautiful clear water with little to no seaweed. It was beautiful. The location was also great as it was not far from the airport (about 30 minutes). I would definitely recommend this resort for families or couples.

Ok resort

Hotel is new and looking nice. Hotel has 826 rooms but very limited dining services/food in cafeteria. Only 1 waffle maker for this whole resort. Staff is very slow especially in cafeteria-takes a long time to get an omelette and long line builds up really quick. Cafeteria staff needs to refill food in a faster/better manner. More variety of food options were available when cafeteria just opened for meals as opposed to 1 hour later, probably 1/3 of food was available. Hotel offers a complimentary shower room but no clean towels to use. Requested 4 times towels, waited forever and never got them. Shower not cleaned between customers. Our room was cleaned daily by the maid and no complaints about that (tipped every day the maid and cafeteria servers with every meal). Beach was nice but you had to reserve the chairs under the umbrellas early in the morning to have protection from the sun. This huge hotel should have more umbrellas available for the amount of people staying there. Overall it was ok, not great experience.

Mixed Review

Good: New facility. Rooms, lobby, pool, grounds, tennis courts, gym, etc. were very nice. Evening entertainment was very good. Table tennis, shuffle board and bocce were fun to play in between pool and beach visits. Nice new paddle boats, kayaks and catamarans to use for free. Bad: I only had hot water on one out of the 7 days there. The main buffet was extremely busy. The flow of the buffet was poorly designed and the staff not very efficient so getting anything made on the spot was an extrem [... read more]ely long process. An example is doing only 1 omelette or 2 fried eggs at a time. The snack bar was a welcome alternative but you have to resign yourself to the fact that you will be waiting up to an hour to get drinks and a hot dog. The food at the restaurants that you can book was good. Unfortunately, we were only able to use 2 of our 3 restaurant passes since all the seating times (except for 9PM) were taken. So-so: I am used to extremely friendly staff at other resorts so I was surprised by the staff at Bella Vista. Many seemed bored, indifferent, etc.. They weren’t rude or anything. They just didn’t go out of their way for anything. The beach was very pretty but fairly small. No room to play catch, beach volleyball, etc.. You have to pay a small fee per 1 hour of internet usage. Very slow connection. I could not see any email attachments, etc.. This was kind of a blessing since I was kind of forced to truly disconnect and go off the grid. The elevators were extremely slow. We were on the 7th floor and literally never used the elevators except at arrival and departure when we had our luggage. I didn’t mind the stair climb at all but it’s worth mentioning since I know this could be a challenge for people with more limited mobility.

Very well laid out resort

Does not live up the Iberostar Reputation

We booked this vacation with "eyes wide open" meaning we have been to Cuba on a couple other occasions and are well aware the standards of cuisine, amenities etc. are most likely not up to the standard of Mexico and other Caribbean islands, We enjoy the people and usually the beaches make up for what might be lacking elsewhere. We also understand that they do not have access to all other things that help make a resort a vacation oasis. Upon arrival at noon our room was understandably not  [... read more]ready and we were told it would be in about an hour. Finally, at 3 p.m. were were told it wouldn't be much longer. The room was spotless, however, in somewhat in a state of ill repair. The blackout draperies were half falling down, the vanity lights in bathroom didn't work, the dresser drawers did not close properly, the shower leaked on to the bathroom floor, sometimes our room door would not lock upon leaving, and the tv one evening slid off kilter on the wall while we were watching a program. We could live with all of this and even found some humour in it, even though the resort is only a couple of years old. The main thing we had great difficult tolerating was the shower - it was a handshower with a "rainhead shower, the rainhead was malfunctioning so it just poured in a steady stream, not a big deal, however, the water was either dangerously scalding hot or icy cold there was no adjustment.in temperature and it seem to be governed by the time of day. My husband skipped his shower a couple of days as it was unbearable and even after a few trips to the reception desk and customer service, a couple of visits by the plumber it remained that way through our entire stay! We were not the only guests affected by this. The pools were very nice, clean and large but the drink service at the pool was very sporadic, sometimes non existent. The beach was nice however the seaweed wasn't cleaned away and the maintenance of the beach left a little to be desired, there were cigarette butts everywhere. It felt a little tight under the palapas , you were very close to the next chairs. I will preface the next comment with the fact that we are not fussy eaters, we enjoy the cuisine and customs of whatever country we visit, however, even not having high expectations we did not really enjoy the food. Most of the time it was not labelled nor was it hot or particularly tasty. Breakfast was the best meal. We did enjoy the Asian specialty restaurant and the Steakhouse was good. Once again, our food was cold in the Italian restaurant and found the same in the 24 hour snack bar. It should be noted that although there is no smoking in the rooms, the lobby area is very smokey particularly in the evening. We understand that the resort is still trying to get out from under the damage caused by the last hurricane and we are sympathetic to that, however this resort doesn't live up to a 4.5 rating by any stretch of the imagination.

Amazing Place

Very good resort gave us an ocean view room it was my anniversary and food was good don't go to Lobby but near the snack bar there is a restaurant that gives breakfast and lunch which was awesome. If you are having issues with anything see the receptionist and they will fix it. Would go back again. Just got back Mar12 it was cold in the evening make sure take some pants and jacket. Entertainment team was very good. There was water show that was amazing and do the Safari trip you will love it.

Great resort!

The hotel was very nice, clean, close to the beach. Friendly staff. There were a lot of beach huts, beach chairs etc. The only really issue I had was with the towel service. We were given 2 beach towels to use for our stay. Every time we went to the beach hut to replace our dirty beach towels with clean ones there weren't any clean ones available. It didn't matter if we showed up first thing in the morning or afternoon or later in the day there were never any clean towels available. We ende [... read more]d up using the original beach towels for our entire stay (5 days). When we have gone to other resorts the hotel never had a problem having clean beach towels available. It was frustrating and kind of gross having to keep using the same sandy beach towels over and over again.

Great holiday experience!

As a newly opened resort, Iberostar Bella Vista was modern, clean and well designed. The beach was spectacular and the water sports were very accessible. The a la carte restaurants were all enjoyed and easy to book into. The Caracola cafe was a great spot for breakfast and lunch as it provided the chance to eat outdoors. Barbecues at lunch were appreciated. Evening shows were very professional and entertaining. Cappuccinos from the bar and cafe were a morning must. Great place!

My boyfriend and I just got back from this resort on Wednesday. We were pretty happy with it. It’s beautiful and the weather was great like all resorts there were things we didn’t like so much but we absolutely would reccomend this hote and we would return !

Beautiful Resort

Very nice newer resort. Beautiful beach, nice people. Appeared they were short staffed to take care of the large number of people. Hot or even warm water for a shower was only available early morning or late night. Beach towels were in short supply, we were successful changing ours only once during the week's stay. I would have appreciated the buffet food being labelled so you knew what you were eating.

Beautiful Resort

I would like to say this was a beautiful place to stay for our 9 days of vacation. The ocean was amazing to swim in and the beach, powder soft sands. We walked every morning on the beach, with no one running up to you trying to sell something. The resort was so very clean and staff very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. We did not have a room over looking the ocean but we did overlook the opposite side where the sun came up over the waters on that side. The pools were clean and refreshing. We didn't have any problems of any kind except for reservations for A La Cart restaurants. They were always booked solid, so I would suggest book as early as possible when you get there, or you maybe out of luck.
