Paradisus Rio De Oro: True Paradise!

We just returned from our 10+ visit and will go back again. Stunning grounds, comfortable rooms, excellent food, attentive staff, beautiful combination of sandy beach and excellent snorkeling, a true paradise in Cuba.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Good resort... be carefull in low season!!

Second time at this resort. Very desappointed because i booked a kids free room/area and there was kids yelling all over the bungalows, the pool and the beach! Usually they have an area and pool for kids and another area for adults (pool and bungalow) Apparently because it is the low season, they dont separate the areas but it was sold kids free. What a desapointment! At the arrival, what is suppose to be the kids pool was close and had seaweeds in it, the main fountain was close and the foo [... read more]d was not very good. It seems they were not ready to receive people! The 3rd day, they open the kids pool, the fountain and the food was better. The a la carte restaurants were close so we had to go to the buffet or the italian. 2 nights the buffet was close and everybody had to go the the Italian restaurant wich serves good food. The room itself was very nice and very comfortable. Difficult to take a shower because the temperature goes to very very hot to cold, i experienced it the first time. The beach was ok. A lots of rocks at the beach when you enter water so you have to be carefull. The service is impeccable if you tip, otherwise, they forget you quickly!!. The animation was very basic for that kind of resort. I had to call the reception desk 3 times, and i didnt see Cuban time there!! The service was really quick, and always on time, i was surprised!! The staff is very very nice, very welcoming. I would recommand that hotel in the busy season.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Don't waste your money

First of all the management not doing they're job,closing buffet restaurant without notify the costumers giving two a la carte choices if you don't like it to bad. The food is terrible,i'm not a picky guy on the last day run out of food and plates, roaches inside the restaurant. The local people coming for the weekend going around grabbing fruits and deserts to they're tables leaving nothing for others,they have no respect, the rooms have big gaps around the doors there is lizards inside. The grounds its OK clean OK,workers OK and friendly..but...i won't go back and don't recommend it.

Villa Mirador de Mayabe: Should be delisted. Staff need hospitality training

I arrived late at night and had 3 bags when I checked in most of which was for Cuban families. The staff watch me struggle with my luggage in the dark trying to find my room. After eventually finding my room and unpacking I check my room out only to find out there was no toilet seat shower head or a working TV. It only got worse from there. They say the have wifi but they never had wifi cards. The had no beer for days. Only recommend for overnight stays if no other options.

Playa Pesquero: Family Vacation

The resort was incredible. So many fun things to do like swimming on the beach scuba diving, catamaran, shooting some pool and playing tennis, a fully equipped gym. The staff was remarkable, the food was very good & the views were so beautiful. As a photographer & artist. I gained a lot of inspiration on this trip.

Playa Pesquero: Family trip

We had amazing time at playa Pesquero it’s very Clean ,very spacious , has incredible views , a beautiful beach and wonderful rooms. The staff was highly exceptional & very friendly. The food supply was great. Their gardens were very beautiful and well kept. It will be amazing to go back with my family if given the opportunity.se

Sol Turquesa Beach: Ok resort

The resort itself is nice, the rooms are big and clean. Staff are lovely. Lots of huge mosquitos on this resort. Must have been bitten maybe 30 times a night even with bug spray. Beach is nice but a lot of seaweed. There were staff working on digging it out while we were there. Food at resturants is mediocre, better off at the buffet. Lots of stairs, i do not reccommend this hotel for elderly people or people with mobility issues. The resort is located in the middle of the forrest which is lovely but tons of bugs and wild cats roam the grounds. No disco at night and evening shows are the same across all hotels in this area. Water ballet, retro band, classic cuban singers and two beach parties located not far off the resort. Guardalvaca beach is close by and would reccommend taking the tour bus for 5pesos.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Great resort

Although our flight times got changed and that put a damper on our travel days...the resort was great. Quick check in and our room was huge We upgraded to diamond club and were expecting a welcome drink and a no check in service but we arrived late so the reps weren’t working but it was fine. Brisas Guardalavaca: Exceeded expectations!

This is our fourth time at the resort, and we thought it was about time we expressed our appreciation for the resort in a review, because this last time was the best of all. The lobby renovations were a major improvement, and most of all the abundance of fresh fruit and delicious food from the previous times. The staff were all impeccable, the grounds clean and the overall environment felt very amiable. However, above all the resort is beautiful and highly recommended. Will be coming here again.

Playa Costa Verde: Sunny days, clean air and beautiful landscape.

Everything looks good and clean and the staff do their best to keep everyone happy. Thanks to Eliades, Tamara, Vivian, Jose Suarez, Juliet and her staff in the lobby bar, Mildred and Yaneisy, Thanks for such a nice vacation! We will be back .

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good as expected

The hotel in general was good just as expected. I felt special and especially enjoyed being invited to the lobster dinner as a returning guest. However, I was hoping if there are more benefits for returning guests. On the last day, I was planning on the late checkout. I thought the cost would depend on the number of rooms per hour as usual but people at the hotel counter said it was just changed last week to per person per hour. I wish I don't have to face this kind of situation next time. Overall, it was a good resort.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Home away from home

This was our 8th time to club amigo we love this resort it always makes us feel like we are coming back home the beaches are beautiful and the food is good this year I noticed they added a soft ice cream machine for the kids when the buffet is open. We stayed in the villa room these rooms seem to be a bit noisier than the bungalow rooms however they have a spectacular view of the ocean. This resort is our favorite place to be when we are not at home. We always book through trip central with karol we look forward to our next trip to club amigo guardalavaca

Sol Turquesa Beach: Disappointing

Mostly Bad customer service, very low end service, food is the worst, always run out even with minimal choice. And no point of upgrade to diamond club members its nothing but a title. So never would any of us go back there again.

Don Lino Hotel: Home away from home!

Love this place for its hospitality. It lives up to my expectations of a 2.5 star resort and more. I have stayed here by myself and brought my family a few times and everyone always enjoys their time spent here.

Brisas Guardalavaca: is a very good Resort

always we had a good time only this time we see something no good too many local people,that they don"t care for the tourist.are not clean they jump in the pool with there clothes .without taking a shower. Women through there Nupking in the ocean.Waiting a Big line to get in the Restaurant to eat,it was our 13'th Time in this Hotel,Thank you Archie&Emily?

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great vacation!

We had a great time at Paradisus Rio de Oro. We went on the recommendation of family members who have been vacationing there for at least 6 years. We had a wonderfully relaxing time. I cannot say one negative thing about the resort. The room was great; the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet, the pool restaurant and the beach restaurant. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Awesome reefs right on the beach

Had a great time on my 5th return visit to Club Amigo and I'll be back again next year. The food is on par for Cuba, rooms are nice the beach and the coral reef is spectacular. Spent 2-3 hours almost every day snorkeling with so many amazing fish!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Back for another year!

Return visit to Brisas. Loved every minute! Give wonderful special attention to returning guests. Lovely lunch and tree planting ceremony in our honour. Stayed in the Villa section again. Highly recommend. Nice and quiet. Seafood and Cuban restaurants were even better than last year. Go see Luis at the dive centre! 10 cuc to get the catamaran out to the reef for wonderful snorkeling. Saw barracuda and a school of squid just to name a couple. Very clear water.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Best Cuban Resort

This was our 30th Anniversary so we wanted to try find a higher end resort, Parisus Rio de Oro did not disappoint. We stayed in ocean view junior suite, was perfect, outdoor shower was a huge hit, this was a beautifully kept hotel and grounds with fantastic food selections. Added bonus was adult only we will be back and understand why people return here Year after year.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great resort

Great service, good food (better than expected), liked beach, pool and activities, rooms very clean. Suggest bring small flashlight. Lights along beach path not working at night. Water was out for several hours on last night. Great job on updating rooms and resort overall. Quiet area. Would definitely recommend and go back again.
